AMLI at Vinings/Vinings Corner has been my home for 4 years
I really liked this apartment until it changed ownership. I have not been pleased with the admistrative staff in the office and they seem very insincere. I am currently looking for somewhere else to stay. My rent has gone up over $100 since I have lived here. That would not be a problem except that I am a full-time student and can't afford to go through these types of changes. Maintainence was okay...they weren't very timely but definitely fixed what was broken. Too expensive for what you get!! Move in at your own risk...

My worst experience with apartment living
When I moved in over 4 years ago, I thought I was getting the best deal on rental rates and location. I quickly found out that the walls are paper thin, so much that you can hear someone use the bathroom at night. No joke. (no. 1) Its terrible. The management doesnt care and does not want to hear the complaints. The new management is horrible. They came in and raised the rent, water and gas. Their contractors are careless. I had my wall painted and they left paint all over my glass table. My daughters car was near when they were power washing the sidewalks and her windsheild was cracked. Management did everything not to take responsibility. I called the corporate office about this and still to this day have not received a response. I really should be getting some money from Vinings Corner for all of my trouble and what I have put up with. Also, they had the whole complex re-wired for cable and my apartment isnt wired at all. I also started having phone problems in 2005 and Bellsouth told me it was wired wrong in the building. Management hasnt done anything about it. I still dont have phone service for fearing that it will not work properly and damage my computer. In fact I think my pc is already damaged. The grounds are not kept up like before. The crime scene is bad as well. I had a peeping tom 2 years ago. There have been apartment and car break-ins as well. I am finally moving. I glad this website exist it allows me to vent in a positive manner. Do not move here. Big management companies dont care.

They are con!!!
Beware with the way they play the game. They will show you all the nice things, the amenities, etc..etc. But when we moved in, we got broken kitchen cabinets and dishwasher. Ask them to fix them. The cabinet was never been fixed until we moved out and it took more than a month and several trips to leasing office to get the dishwasher fixed. And of course I had to do the dishes manually which I think it was --------, especially if you work and have 2 children.<br>When we moved out, we cleaned everything, even rented a steam cleaner for the carpet. But guess what? I think it is not good enough. They still charged me quite a lot of money for damages that they never itimized. Just damage. When I called for further explanation, the staff said it was for the broken cabinet and the carpet. HELLO!!!! When I pointed out that the broken cabinet, he started talking about something else. He even didn't have any proof for it. He just said..."I think" or "I guess". About the carpet, when I asked him why I was charged for it. He just said that there was a big red stain but he couldn't tell me where the stain was. At the end of the conversation, I just asked an itimized bill and proof for the damages or at least job order to fix the damages, which I never received.<br>1 month later, I got a call from a collection agency for the money I owed to Vinings Corner.<br>Moral of the story, before you move out and hand them your keys, make sure that they are filling the moving-out checklist form for your own future security. Or maybe you can take some pictures or videos for documentations.

Great place to live!!
Vinings Corner is a beautifully kept property with any ammenity a person could want. The staff is very caring and genuine, and will help you with any problem you might encounter as a renter! I have been very happy here, and I know you will be as well. Two thumbs up!

Decent amount of space but......
I was generally satisfied with my stay at AMLI Vinings/Vinings Corner. I had a large basement apartment and had few problems except a water leak (which was fixed promptly by the maintenance staff) and bugs. The apartment would spray for them, but they would still come back even if you kept things very clean.<br><br>The recent renovations make the complex look much better, especially the fitness center. The apartments themselves could really use a remodelling, which may be in process as residents move out. Make an effort to see your actual apartment and not the showcase apartments so you don't get stuck with old carpet and appliances.<br><br>The security is so-so. I'm not a big fan of apartment gates -- they are more of an incovenience to residents than criminals in my opinion. The gates are solid-looking but malfunction often, especially the gate arms, which often don't raise to let you out until you almost run them over!<br><br> I have seen reports of crimes in the apartment complex and was only notified of one set of incidents (break-ins to cars) but I never felt unsafe walking around at night or doing laundry after midnight. <br><br>Overall, though, the renovations pushed the rent through the roof, and they still have a ways to go to finish, so there will be construction noise during the day for some time to come.

If Vinings has a slum, I found it
I have never been this dissatisfied in a rental. I moved to Vinings looking for a little luxury. What I found were roaches as big as a small but well-fed dog, a leaky air-conditioner(over and over), a security gate that was open sun up to sun down, and the stench of smoke that permeated all of my belongings.<br>I complained to management to no avail. I broke my lease 5 months early and had to incur moving expenses. <br>When people would come to visit, they thought I smoked. <br>I read other people's reviews before I moved in but I was optimistic and thought maybe they were just exaggerating. No such luck. Please heed this warning....keep on looking! Don't be fooled by the leasing agent's fake interest in your children or the deceiving model you'll be shown....just don't stop.

Worst apartment for the money
When I was looking at this complex, I told the manager I was allergic to cigarette smoke and was noise sensitive. <br><br>I never would have moved in if she had told me the full truth: "You will not get a good night's sleep if you don't live on the top floor because we're moving in neighbors above you who have no lives and stay up all night and will wake you up at least once a night, if not more. The floors are paper thin, so it will sound like there's a redneck convention right in your living room. The apartment will reek of smoke, even after you clean it thoroughly, and even though you don't smoke, everything you have in your closet will smell like smoke. We will pretend to care about your situation, but all we really care about is getting your money. The more you complain to us, the more we will act like jerks to you."<br><br>I have not gotten a good night's sleep since my upstairs neighbors moved in 3 months ago. This is not acceptable.<br><br>The sad thing is, this isn't the first time I've been in an apartment complex where there's been obnoxious neighbors or nasty smoke coming in to my place. I'm tired of complaining and seeing nothing done. I'm tired of all the B.S. from companies that don't care about the very people they make money off of. I say we send them all a message and have a class action lawsuit. <br><br>With all the complaints on this site, I think we have sufficient numbers to justify a case. If you're tired of being taken advantage of by apartment complexes that just use you for your money, e-mail me and let me know. I will be looking for a lawyer who will handle this, and get all the details.<br><br>If money is the only thing Ram Partnerships LLD cares about, and not the people who live in their buildings, then we need to hit them where it hurts. We need to make sure they get this bad publicity. We need to let them know that not fulfilling their promises to us is not OK, and we need to send this message to the other apartment management companies to let them know they need to shape up and start caring about people.

Vinings Corner was a very nice place to live!
I moved here from out of state right before RAM took over. AMLI was the Manager and they were "ok"...very strict with rent policies though.....Since RAM took over the whole complex has never looked better. I had a beautiful apartment with a wooded view and all my neighbors were very friendly and polite. On occasion I did hear things.... but that is Apartment Life. The Maintenace crew was polite and very efficient in getting things done. If I ever had a problem Cory and Anne were always very friendly and helpful. I have never lived in a complex where the management team was so polite and they actually knew you when you walked in the door. KUDOS to RAM for hiring such a great team at Vinings Corner.

DON'T MOVE HERE!!
When I initially moved to "Amli at Vinings," it was great and I absolutely loved it. The staff was nice and the neighbors were so friendly. Now, since the name change to "Vinings Corner," they are letting any and everybody move into these apartments. I hate it!! When my lease it up, I'm finally leaving this place!! My neighbors are not friendly and they are always having parties and being loud at all hours of the night. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. The rent is ridiculous and it's steadily increasing!! This apartment complex doesn't care whether you're a new or veteran resident, you get no breaks on the rent. It's not worth it to stay here, trust me. Yes, the other comments are true about the insect problem and the construction workers. Mysterious insects always appear in my apartment. Every Saturday, the construction crew starts working (loudly) at 8:00 am so there is no sleeping in on the weekends. The location is great, but Vinings Corner is not worth the prices they charge. Don't move here!! Take your hard earned money and move someplace that respects you as a resident.

Pretty good
I have lived here now for almost 9 months. Residents overall are friendly, management is quick to workout maintenance problems, and I love the area. Cons are the traffic from Atlanta road and turning left to get to 285/75 highways...what a nightmare. This is the only reason why i'm contemplating on moving when my lease is up at my year...plus I think i'm being overcharged on my square footage and my rent is going up as well.

Fiind a different place to live
Management is incapable of communicating to the residents. There are serious roach issues. Management does not fix issues in your apartment after numerous requests. There are frequent break ins and cars are not safe.

I visted Vinings Corner today to look at renting an apartment there. It seems really nice and well kept considering it is 24 years old. They are making a lot of upgrades to the place (new pavement, a new MUCH bigger work-out room and the trees they cut down were to make the pool area better). For a fee of a $25 or so dollars more a month you can have your refridgerator/oven/dishwasher/counter tops/cabinets/fixtures/door knobs, etc upgraded. It seems they are trying to "update" they place. All of their model units I viewed looked like they were pretty much brand new (2years-ish) Anne, the manager seemed very nice as we toured. However, in the model home there was a roach turned belly up on the bathroom floor. She tried to scoop it up with a piece of paper to flush it, but it was still alive and started to wiggle around so she just left it there! uhhhhh...It was however on the ground floor so maybe you should try to get an upper level unit???

Going downhill
I lived here for 5 years. In the begining it was great - nice/decent/employed neighbors and we had AMLI management. Over time the quality of people living there got worse (i.e. showing "0" respect for others in regard to noise, leaving trash in the parking lot and bringing their scary friends around). Then one day we got a notice that the complex had been sold to an unidentified investor who would be using RAM Partners (3rd party managers) to oversee the property. Every day there have been contractors here cutting down trees, re-paving, etc... So lots of money invested = big rent increases. It is nice that the property is getting fixed up but....... the insides of the apartments are very dated and the quality of people has not changed. These are NOISY, NOISY apartments. You will hear tv's, kids, phones ringing, doors opening/closing, etc... You have to use fans to block out the noise. It could be great....but it "ain't".

Not worth the rent but you could do worse
We chose this apartment for the location. Vinings is a wonderful (usually safe) neighborhood. Since we moved in, management has changed numerous times and the original complex was sold to Vinings Corner. Maintenance is a joke. Bugs, spiders, and all types of insects roam freely through your apartment but hey, welcome to Atlanta. I am the most irritated by the 6am construction outside my window for the past 4 months, the shady characters hired to maintain the grounds, and the broken gates. Managment is generally o.k., but I did overhear one leasing agent call a resident a B**ch when she thought no one was listening. The rent increase was ridiculous ($60) for the same raggedy apartment. The appliances are ancient, the bathtubs peel, not to mention that they closed the fitness center and didn't bother to give us temporary memberships to any other club. We never received any notice about the criminal activity on the property and my car has several dings and scratches from my not-so-careful neighbors who come home drunk and loud at 4 a.m. every weekend. On the positive side, our fireplace is great in the winter time and the apartments are of nice size. Overall you could do a lot worse than Vinings Corner, but there are so many nicer places to stay in Vinings for the money.

I have to get out of here! Now!
I just saw the new rent increases. They are $725 for 1 bedroom/650 sf; $765 for 1 bedroom/876 sf; $830 for the 1015 sf Windsor (two bedroom/1bath); $890 for 2/2 1,194 sf; $890 for 1,194 sf; $915-$1051 FOR the 1,182 sf 2/2; $1000-$1136 for the 1302 sf; and $945 for the 1,224 sf.<br><br>I life in the Windsor now and pay $745. I'm supposed to pay $830 for the same apartment? The one with silverfish, worn carpet and vinyl floor that never gets clean. I didn't even know about the crimes in the parking lot until I read them here. Amli management used to tell us about everything. Here -- nothing! My lease is up soon and I'm buying a house, even if I have to move into my car.

I've lived in Amli (now Vinings Corner) for almost 2 years. I had been fairly happy - the office staff was generally helpful, maintenance request were filled in a timely manner, and I felt relatively safe in the community. <br><br>However, there was an ARMED ROBBERY in the complex a few months ago and I have not felt safe since. Management did nothing to notify the residents of the incident and the manager's response to a request for increased security was "security is the resident's responsiblity". <br><br>Overall the place is okay, but I personally would not reccommend because of the safety issue. <br>

Don't even think about it. I'm serious.
I just moved in here about a month ago, and it has been hell:<br><br>1. The management ripped up the asphalt in front of our building leaving nothing but mud and didn't give us any notice. It was my move day. This has continued to happen when things are done without even a day's notice.<br><br>2. In my building of six residents, TWO of us have had cars broken into in the last three weeks. (I've heard of even more on the grounds) THERE IS NO GATE AROUND THIS PROPERTY AND NOT PLAN TO PUT ONE IN PLACE! Although new management is making some improvements, this is not being addressed. So now we will have pretty new gates (BTW - FIFTY is a bit steep for a remote, don't you think?) and anyone can still walk up and rob us blind.<br><br>3. My neighbors just moved out because of mold and water leaks.<br><br>4. I have roaches, spiders and tree ants in my unit. A roach fell on me from the ceiling my first night sleeping here. They will come and spray, but I just saw another roach last night.<br><br>4. The fixtures are nasty. They had a gross film on them and looked like they were taken out of another old apartment and placed in mine. I asked for them to be replaced, but they said no and I replaced most myself.<br><br>Rent is not cheap here, but I chose this complex because of the attentiveness of the (old) staff. With the new management, they are still proving themselves, and so far, Although the Manager is generally nice, I'm not at all impressed. Save yourself - I'm already locked in for the next year.

It's great...until you move out
I lived at AMLI/Vinings Corner for three years. The overall experience was great even though my car got broken into and the management's response was nothing more than an "We're sorry, but there is nothing we can do". (How about fixing those gates? That may have helped). Anyways, the apartment complex was quiet and the service/maintenance people were top notch. However, the management folks have been awful, especially since the take over. Through shady tactics (not letting you know about rent increases, additional fees, etc.) they will cause you to pay much for during your move out than you will expect. I wish, I could look upon the experience more favorable, but ever since I've wanted to move out, I've been treated with little respect. I have referred residents to the community in the past, but that will not happen again in the future.

Starting to Get Annoyed
The apartment I live in is Great! The bedrooms are quite large. But, I'm getting annoyed.<br><br>You can hear every footstep from above. I'm not sure if the people upstairs are walking hard on purpose or the materials between floor and ceiling are that thin and squeeky. I don't know how quiet it is on the very top floor but the first floor blows.

Just OK
The exterior of the apartment is really nice. <br>The staff is ok until you get your apartment broken into then they have a "s@#t happens attitude". Be sure to get renters insurance. <br>The gates are broken often by the main entrance. <br>The walls and floors are paper thin. Whenever the neighbors upstairs walk across the floor the apartment shakes and it sounds like they're stomping. Be sure to live on the top level.<br>If I had the choice to do it over again. I would definitely go elsewhere.

Just another review...THINK AGAIN!
Getting up in the morning...working hard...needing a place to call home...DON'T LIVE HERE! The staff changes hands every 6 months...they are unfriendly...not helpful...my apartment is infested with roaches and wasps and I live on a top floor! They tell me that they can't do anything about it. The gate is constantly broken. I receive notice of a break-in every 4 weeks or so. Am I living in a jungle? The sad thing? I really like my apartment. It's such a shame that such a potentially nice community has sunk to the heap of the pile. Don't waste your money when there are alot of other alternatives.

Haven't had any problems!
I've lived here for about a year now and haven't had any extenuating problems. No, things have not been perfect. But, for the most part, we have not had any problems with the staff, mangement, neighbors, or break-ins. <br><br>My cell phone works fine inside or outside my apartment. <br><br>The only complaint I have is that people don't pick up their dog ----. So, when you step out your door it might smell like dog ----.

Cell phones will NOT work in this complex
Be aware before you sign the lease - your cell phone will not work here! Check it out in any apartment they show you.. Ask any resident! Ride around the complex and notice how many people are standing outside just to talk on a cell phone.

Have lived here two years....
I have lived at Amli for two years and have nothing but good things to say. Yes I have heard of break ins, but have not seen anything.....just have received notices to be aware of my surroundings.<br>I love my apartment and any time I have had a maintenance request, it is either fixed that day or the next. I'm only leaving because I'm moving back to Florida. I do know that the company was bought out and is now Vinings Corner, but so far the new management has been nothing but helpful. I went in yesterday to see them about a fax I sent to the previous manager giving my 60 day notice to vacate my lease because I'm moving to Florida and it wasn't in my file. Cory made a copy and put it in my file and said they would work with me on payments to make for the termination fee as well as the month I will not be living there. I was pleased because I have enough other crap to handle before I leave. I've been happy at Amli.....no noise issues. Had a problem with my apartment smelling like cigarettes when the air conditioning came on.....but I ended up buying an air purifier anyways because I have two cats and a 1 bedroom. I really have no complaints. Love the Vinings area and access is great to everything.
