I've enjoyed living here until the noise became an issue. The location is good and likely is the best apartment complex in Cherokee County. I really don't have any additional comments except that when you do a survey that is "only going to take a minute" you should not require a 200 character reply.

My experience at Avonlea has been very exceptional. The community and location is tremendously inviting. I have enjoyed my stay at Avonlea thus far. I look forward to spending the rest of my lease in this comfortable and strong resident-focused environment.

Began leasing a one bedroom apartment at Avonlea in October of 2013. I have been very pleased with the complex and apartment so far. Nice amenities, spacious floor plans, and clean grounds are my favorite features. The office staff was helpful and has always responded quickly to questions/concerns.

My experience was good before phase II. Once phase II came into play, they stopped caring. There is dog poop and cigarette butts everywhere and my appliances are old and outdated. Even the cabinets in the apartment need to be fixed. It would nice to also have a clean hallway. There are just so many things wrong with my apartment and living here, I would need more than my lunch time to get through it all.

I love it and will continue living in this community, however I would love to have some hardwood floors I believe it would make it more of what I desire, I would love the nicer things as I have had in my past homes, I've always owned my home so this is much different but I'm loving it only wished the interiors could be upgraded even if it was an increase in rent I believe it would be an added value to the experience of apartment living.

My experience has been very enjoyable with no real issues during my time. Everything has been kept very neat, orderly, and clean. The residents are also friendly and don't have any parties till all hours of the night. The staff are very responsive of any requests you have and always follow up.

We really enjoy living at Avonlea Towne Lake. It's the nicest place I've ever lived. The complex is well kept and everything is very clean. We don't have to deal with noisy or unruly neighbors. The best part is being so close to many stores/restaurants that you could walk if it was a nice day. The social events are really nice as well. The biggest thing that stood out was the door to door welcoming we experienced from some local residents. Definitely a great place to live and raise a family.

I love my apartment very much. It has a gate to go to the outside for my dog. My grandchildren the love the two pools that we have. I enjoy the different social events that are going on. The only thing that needs a little bit bigger playground for the kids

Beautifully landscaped and professional staff. The maintenance is timely and professional. There are several community activities to choose from. Location is ideal. I rarely need to go farther than 2 miles for all I need.

I loved Avonlea the minute Charles started showing us around. The vibe of the neighborhood was great. Nice, quiet, and beautiful. The pool and workout room sold me! I love our apartment, especially the bookcase, and the residents that surrond me.

I have lived at Avonlea at Towne Lake for several years. The cleanliness and upkeep of the property and grounds is one reason, along with the professionalism of the staff and the safety and security. I have loved living here!

I have been at this complex for almost 9 years. The staff is friendly, the 2 apartments I have rented have been free from pests and the community is clean. There is a fantastic pool and fitness center in the new phase. This is a great place to live short term or long term.

The office staff has always been friendly and accommodating. I have had VERY few maintenance issues, and when I have had a problem, they have arrived PRONTO to take care of it - even after hours. Maintenance staff very courteous. Very pleased.

WE REALLY ENJOY LIVING HERE OVERALL. The front office staff are excellent. The maintenance staff is professional & friendly. Love having Robin & Jeremy as the Care team to do the community events. They are a definite asset to Avonlea APTS. The salt water pool is wonderful.

Love it. It's home! Can't say enought about how great a community it is. Like that they have community events and send email reminders of them at well as post them at the gate. They put the calendar print out of event at your door and the staff is always pleasant to interact with

I have lived here for 8 months (2013-14), and I would like to state first, that the rental office staff and maintenance staff have been wonderful - different staff than earlier reviews. We've enjoyed living in the apartment overall, although it is super small. This rating is not the fault of the office staff- it is the parent company. They are robber barons. We recently just got our renewal offer, and they want to raise our rent by $360 per month, 15%, for a total of $2360 per month for 850 square feet of space. This is a ridiculous rent hike, even for California. While the place is nice enough, it is NOT a luxury apartment by any stretch of the imagination. We live in an apartment that faces the main road. There are lots of spiders in the apartment - I don't know why. There is an electrical issue with the bathroom lights that when the fan light is on for a period of time, the heat lamp turns on automatically, without turning on the switch - which seems a fire hazard to me, but we've been told there's nothing that can be done about it. My point is, although some of the units have been renovated, there are still some issues, they are older apartment buildings. We asked the rental staff to talk to the parent company, as we have been good tenants, paid our rent on time, kept the place up, etc, and they did, but the district manager was not willing to budge. I feel like the parent company is taking advantage of us having moved across the country and not wanting to move after one short year of being in the apartment, and having to start all over again. I am furious. So, if you are relocating to the area for a job, beware of this place - it is expensive for what you get, and they will try to completely fleece you for the second year. Save yourself some heartache and move somewhere else.

I would never recommend this apt complex to anyone who has children esp handicapped children. The people who live there are grumpy and like to complain about everything, get over it people you live in an apt complex, there is going to be noise and i would understand if it wasnt in the middle of the day. The grounds and breeze ways are full of cigarette butts and ashes. You cant enjoy a nice evening on the patio without the disgusting smell of cigarette smoke. If you are a non smoker like I am......find another place to live. I also found out the people living above me are paying a significantly lower price than i am. We have the exact same apt and layout. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live.

My time at Avonlea was very pleasant. The hospitality team was wonderful. There was a community event scheduled every week I lived there for two years. I loved the pancake breakfasts, biscuits and coffee handed out unexpectedly from time to time, the Christmas parties were very classy with absolutely delicious food, the movies by the pool events and a card was even delivered to me on my birthday each year. I enjoyed where I lived before Avonlea and the place I currently live but Avonlea really was great experience. The staff was great and no need of mine went unaddressed.

! Not a fan of the Avonlea Town Lake... Left a very clean apartment... they not only keep my $1200 deposit but said they had to replace my carpet! BS! They said i owed them $900 on top of my deposit?? I think of them everyone I look at my credit report... I even cleaned the oven I never used! This was 7 years ago.. Still bitter I guess!

I live in these apartments with my husband and we love it! We are sad to be moving out, but we are moving to Florida. I highly recommend these apartments. They are a little more expensive than other apartments in the area, but having lived in one of the other complexes I can tell you the slightly higher expense is worth it. The staff is wonderful! We have never had any problems here. They also have lots of community events. They just built brand new apartments next to the existing ones, so you know they have a successful business plan!

My family and I lived here for over 2 years and wanted to share what we thought. Apartment living can be different from living in a home and main priority was our children. The community provided so many great activities centered around our kids. We looked at several other complexes in this area an nobody could outdo Avonlea's calendar of events. The community had a mix of families and singles without an overload of either. It was a perfect fit, not to mention one of the largest floorplans. If we were in need of an apartment today, would not hesitate to move here again especially with the new phase and attached garages!

My wife, children and I lived at Avonlea Towne Lake for 2 1/2 years. We moved from a house and had to adjust to living in an apartment, not only hearing our neighbors but also our own behavior so our neighbors would not be disturbed by us. To think you will not hear others in an apartment building is unrealistic and any intelligent person will see through the nonsense posted by some others. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Avonlea. My family loved the movies by the pool, pancake breakfasts, Christmas parties, and many other activities just for the kids. I was always met enthusiastically whenever I stopped by the leasing office and treated as a valued resident and not just another tenant. My lease was explained to me when I signed and moved in and any questions I had were answered knowledgeably. I never had any problem that the maintenance staff did not handle promptly. The Conservice billing service was very convenient and I did not have to pay seperate deposits to the power and water companies. My utilty bills were low and we stayed comfortable in the apartment year round. The grounds were very well landscaped and maintained. Avonlea is a great community and I do not hesitate to recommend it to others.

I am a short term resident who intended on staying a long time. This was my first experience with Avonlea and the management group and found my dealings fare and business like. I came down from Maryland in Sept. of this year and moved in only for a brief time. I can not comment on the community as I have only been here for a short time, but the staff and grounds I have become very familiar with. Below you will find my comments. I would like to say that the staff is top notch. I have lived in apartments from California to Maryland(6 since 2000) and feel this staff is very attentive to there residents. They have managed my special arrangements very well. Always providing options and being very forthright with my obligations. Mrs. Cahill and ger team, including the maintenance team are courteous and professional. I have not experienced any of the issues called out on this web site review. Again my time has been very brief with the community, but I can say they are fare and response in regards to all my dealings and needs. Would live here again and recommend to anyone who is used to apartment life. Pro's Clean grounds and pleasant surroundings Courteous and responsive maintenance staff Extremely professional and helpful office staff Well kept amenities (pool, laundry room, etc.) Spacious and clean apartments (NO BUGS) Close to everything worth-wild in Woodstock Very quiet, in my opinion(as apartments go) Have seen our Woodstock Police residents often and that makes me feel much safer as well. Con's Have not been here long enough to find any... Others mention thin walls, if you understand anything about how apartments are constructed then you must realize that all apartment walls/floors are thin. They are zoned/built to specific requirements and that is where the builder puts them. You only get thinker walls in condos or homes. My upstairs neighbor is also noisy, that is apartment life. That is not a management issue, sometimes you get a noisy neighbor and sometimes you don't. Courtesy among neighbors is a fast disappearing quality both in apartment living and home ownership.
