we moved in to Grand plaza in 2004 when it was opened about 6 months and run by another company. The apartment we live in is the one that we moved into then and hope to be here for many more years. It has always been a vertical neighborhood!

The Grand Plaza has all the amenities you could want and more. I have a dog, so the on-site dog park is a massive bonus. My apartment truly feels like home, and everyone I've interacted with has been polite and helpful.

The experience here for more than a year has been great, but sometimes we've had problems with the toilet and the bathtub. These problems have been treated but not resolved. The toilet has been clogged 4 times now and the bathtub twice

Review

While the location and units are nice, the ongoing elevator outages seem to happen every month. (now approaching three months for the current outage) has been a major drawback. This has created serious inconvenience for residents, especially those living on the higher floors. Management stops providing updates about outages and goes dark for 2 months. Very disappointing.

Great location, elevators seem to be broken for months on end though. The conveniences far outweigh this though it's awful having to wait 5 mins for an elevator to come. For the rent we pay, it's absurd this is an issue

Building is clean, apartments are up to date, package room is a nice feature to have, at least one elevator is always out of service, ninth floor amenities are solid, rooftop oool is a plus, but it's gets too busy/too many visitors aloud.

Good location and apartments but gym and door men need a refresh. Also elevators are constantly down. good events and nice neighbors. If the gym was refreshed, that would make a big difference. Also the grills need a big refresh

Location location location. Grand Plaza is literally on top of the subway and the grocery store is next door. Michigan is close by, as is the Lake. Not owning a car is wonderful (do you know how much money we spend on those things?).

The Grand Plaza is clean, high quality, and the best maintenance i've ever seen. They act fast and are respectful of your space and time. And having a grocery store 10 steps away is the best perk ever.

The elevators are very unreliable and a major reason I would not renew. However, the location and proximately to a grocery store and the train are additional perks. Wish the front desk provided a little more security as people can come and go easily.

Wonderful place to live and great location. Great staff and management. Walking distance to almost everything in a neighborhood that provides restaurants, movie theater, Jewel in the building and numerous shopping stores.

Great, well kept amenities - pool, sun deck, dog run, track, and gym. The entire staff is very friendly, as well as the people that live in the building. Super close to transportation, grocery stores, and entertainment.

Great location- a lot going on in the neighborhood- the overall experience has been diminished by crime and dirty conditions in the last few years. Being at an L stop is nice but also leads to more homeless people and filthy conditions- it is also very noisy with a nearby fire station and State street being a route to the hospitals for emergency vehicles

I love Grand Plaza! All the building staff are extremely friendly and willing to assist in any way. The building feels very safe. It's a great value for the beautiful apartments, amenities, and location. I've had several friends move into the building as well!

Great location, close to public transit. The building inside is quiet, but there are a regular sirens when the windows are open. My apartment stays pretty warm in the fall/early winter without heat, so sometimes it's hard to cool it down enough for sleeping. Nice amenities, residents generally are friendly, nice front desk staff.

Great building and great community. The only issue is the A/C system which we deal with twice a year - Spring and Fall. Those periods of transition can get rough if not handled properly as the AC migh be turned off while the heater is not needed, making the appartment living conditions unbearable.

Rent is high but building is well maintained. Verbal communication is rare. Office Management only communicates by email or through app. They seem annoyed if you call them. it's difficult to reach them in the office. I would not recommend a Senior to move to this building unless they are comfortable communicating through an application or email.

Access in the neighborhood is unmatched, common spaces are enjoyable, and our corner unit has the most amazing lighting!! Happy to live here and have loved the staff (especially the front door staff)!
