Love the community but the staff are unresponsive. They have a bad habit of forgetting or not giving you a call back. They do not complete request in a timely fashion. In addition they are not flexible with matins car request visits. This is frustrating as a mom and professional. Grounds are great and well maintained.

The apartments are nice and roomy, except the linen closet. I have an attached garage and that helps to make it as nice as it was living in a house. Even better because if anything goes wrong I just call for help. The staff and maintenance have been friendly and responsive. They were so good to me as I went thru delay after delay moving in. I wish both bathrooms could have tubs, but the master tub is fantastic. And they welcome our dog which was a great comfort. Great convenient location for my work and everything I could need.

I love it here and Amy worked consistently with me so that I was able to move in quickly on my short time frame! Don't be fooled by the some what friendly leasing staff, their smiles and visuals. Since I've been here I've witnessed a building getting shot up by gunfire and Carmel Police with ATF raiding a different building. They are horrible at managing issues in the community related to unruly & nasty neighbors. Your best bet is to simply call the police or don't be bothered with the nonsense here!

The maintenance staff responds immediately to any concerns and are very thorough with repairs. The office staff are friendly and helpful with questions and packages. The complex is well-lit and the grounds are well maintained.

Everything here at Legacy Town and Flats is fantastic! The people who work here are polite and very helpful, the maintenance staff is quick to fix problems, and the place looks wonderful. It's close to downtown but far enough away to avoid all the craziness.

It has been an awesome experience. The staff is great the community is fantastic with people taking walks, children are playing it is a family friendly environment. Safety was my initial concern moving to a new city and here I totally feel safe. I am glad to call this place home.

I was excited to move in here. That was about as good as it got. The amenities are great. The staff has lied and makes up excuses. If you have a dog think again about living here. They promote being a dog place, but then you will get in trouble for your dogs being dogs. Such as dogs bark occasionally just like humans talk. Dogs play together like kids play together. Etc. They will put you on the top floor with dogs and then give you a hard time because your neighbor is complaining about your dog's running around playing every now and then. The maintenance is ok. Had windows replaced and left apartment really dusty and frame around the door and window dirty also. Also when it snows just plan on them clearing snow whenever. Basically I would not recommend this place unless you want to spend a lot of money on an ok place to live. Quality of the apartment is cheap also.

Started well, but grounds became more and more unkept. Trash builds up around grounds, can't walk dogs anywhere because grass if full of trash and poop, and sidewalks are salted with salt that is not pet friendly therefore burns my dogs feet

I moved to this community in July 2013 and renewed my one year lease for eighteen months. I have been very pleased with the management staff and maintenance has been excellent. Whenever I've had any concerns they have been addressed immediately. Most of the neighbors in my building have been very considerate and observe quiet times (i.e., early morning or late night hours). People are friendly and it's a nice community to come home to in the evening. The neighborhood is beautiful and a peaceful place to walk or ride a bike. There has been construction but residents are notified in advance. We have some outside traffic passing through our neighborhood and some cars speed through our neighborhood, which is a concern at times with people walking dogs and a preschool there. Overall, it's a pleasant community with a variety of floor plans from which to choose and the leasing staff really spent the time with me to select several floor plans to consider. I made a good decision when I chose to live at Legacy Towns & Flats, and would definitely recommend this community to others. I was impressed to find a variety of residents of all ages living here, which makes it seem more like a neighborhood than an apartment community.

The community looks nice and has good apartment lay outs. The appliances in the apartments are pretty good. However, the actual construction is poor. I can tell where the floor has settled in my apartment and is uneven, the floor creates and cracks when I walk, sit, lay down. You can also see this around the doors where more of the frame will show at one side of the door than the other. Also, either due to poor construction or extremely loud neighbors above me I constantly hear them stomping around, their toilet and shower going, their dogs running, jumping, barking, and scratching at doors and windows.

The Legacy Towns & Flats provides all the amenities that a resident needs. I had a pleasure of living here for 4.5 years and I was sad to turn in my keys. The community offers more than any other apartment I looked at. Not only is it a great community but also a great staff.

Legacy Towns and Flats has the overall appearance of a beautiful apartment complex. However, that beauty is short-lived. While the floor plans are big and roomy and I can not hear my neighbors walking around, talking, or going to the bathroom in their apartments (as is a big complaint throughout this site), the hallways are POORLY designed. My main concern that I voiced to the staff when viewing apartments was noise and I have to say this has fallen very short of what I desired. Once you go up the main staircase in your building, there are big, thick fire doors that lead off the staircase on either side. When you open these doors you have a smaller hallway that leads to two apartment front doors; yours and your neighbor across the hall. This collection of three doors creates a vacuum effect so EVERY time my clunky neighbor opens his door or the hallway door, my front door shutters violently and is heard throughout my walls. It is so loud that I am startled every time this happens, no matter where I am in my apartment or even if I have the TV on. In fact, even with a white noise machine in my bedroom, I am woken up from sleep if my neighbor comes home or leaves late at night/early morning. I looked at several other apartments and while this one had the best layout for the price and was readily available, I wish I had waited the extra month+ in a hotel to get an apartment with a private entrance...apartment appearance will only get you so far when you are being constantly jolted several times each day. I know it's possible to quietly open/shut these doors because I do it, but I guess most people just don't care. Pray you get a considerate neighbor. Fortunately, for this being such a HUGE pet area, I haven't been startled by barking dogs. The office staff? While on the outside they seem to be very nice, if you don't have the time to physically go to the office during business hours, you'll never reach them via phone. Ever. Nor should you expect them to ever return your call either. Maintenance has been fine, though I wish they used better (ie less cheap) toilet seats. I am not large by any means (175 lbs), but the seat is such cheap plastic that every time I use the toilet, the seat shifts and drops down...not exactly pleasant when going to the bathroom. Maintenance has already been over once to tighten the seat, but it did little if anything to alleviate the problem. Parking---I like how the parking spots are larger so you don't have to worry about others hitting your car while attempting to parallel park. However, spots can be hard to find if you get home past 7 PM...its not a big problem, but you may have a short walk to your apartment once you find a spot. Also keep in mind that 146th street is a major road so during peak hours I try to only make rights into/out of the apartment complex; there are enough ways I can get to/from work so this is a nonissue for me personally. A definite plus is that my apartment never runs out of hot water for those of you who like long hot showers and the pressure is good. However, beware (but this is IMPOSSIBLE to avoid in the area regardless of apartment complex), this is a hard water area, and there are no water softeners in place in the complex so plan accordingly. Though I've only been here a couple months and hope the rest of my stay will be better, over the next year I definitely will be looking for a house that I can afford to move into once my lease is up. Even though I've marked down "do not recommend", your level of satisfaction really is up to the individual person. It really depends on how sensitive you are about noise levels. I have a feeling the larger units available in the complex with front doors that lead directly outside would not have the noise problem I have.

I needed a new home is less than a week. Legacy Towns & Flats was more than accommodating and got me in! Additionally, I really like the layout of the and floor plans. It is not a traditional apartment complex. It has a unique style and a creative touches that you don't find in newer apartment communities.
