Unsafe, in-attentive staff, vandalized property, hidden fees that do not produce any result (trash fee, but compactors always over flowing), poorly constructed buildings (minimal insulation, carpet directly on concrete, cold air leaking under baseboards, poor "remodel"...

Please do not read these and think "oh the only people who write reviews are the ones who think negatively about something" because that is what my roommate and I thought before we moved here. When we first moved in our townhouse (2 br 2.5 bath) was FILTHY. They had not bothered to shampoo the carpets, reseal the bathtub, or fix a leaking toilet. There was gum stuck to the floor in the hallway. We were not thrilled when all the manager wanted to do was argue with us and tell us that it was cleaned and finally we forced her into scheduling for everything to be cleaned and fixed (of which we had to be out of our apartment for 4 days because of chemicals and they couldn't understand why were so frustrated about that... we're college students that just started school and our parents live 2 hours away, but hey we can afford a hotel for 4 days) A couple months later our neighbors were getting robbed left and right. The lady two doors down was robbed and the house next to ours got their window broken but the robber was deterred by their dog. Over Thanksgiving break, our kitchen window was pried open and we were robbed of our jewelry and small electronics (iPods, cameras, etc). The office staff never even called us to tell us. I came home on a Sunday evening, alone, as a young female, to a house that had been ransacked. I was terrified for my safety not knowing when this happened or if the robber was still even in the house. The only thing that had been left was a pink "while you were out" memo note from the police department letting us know that we were robbed and that maintenance knew and would "fix our screen and window at a later date". The robbery had occurred on Thanksgiving...that meant the office, managers, and maintenance had 4 days to call and let us know, yet we knew nothing. Our parents came down and installed new security systems and when they went to complain to the office, the property managers refused to talk to them because they "weren't on the lease"...even though we are still just teenage girls and they were only voicing their concerns and frustrations. When we first moved we thought that it would be safe (especially since it was gated) but there have been at least 8 robberies in my stretch of townhouses alone...let alone the rest of the community. This place is not safe nor is it worth it to endanger yourself or your family. This is a serious problem and no one around here will even acknowledge that it is an issue nor do they care to fix it. These people will say anything to get you to live here and seem great at first but after you move in you will quickly realize that they are unprofessional and do not care to listen to the concerns of their residents.

I would NOT recommend this place at all! I just got my apartment robbed on Sunday and am trying to get out of my lease now. I have a 2 year old daughter and they will not let me out of our lease even though our safety is at risk. I looked up on the Indiana government website and it says there have been 30 robberies in a 6 month period. They have done nothing to help their residence stay safe. They have a gate, but when I lived there it was open and not working for 2 months! DO NOT LIVE HERE!! HORRIBLE PLACE!

Just moved in about a week ago. The staff is very friendly, which is one aspect that I like about this apartment. I liked the whole idea with the safety gates when entering the apartments, however it kind of defeats the purpose when the gates stay open for at least 3 to 4 vehicles to come in though. The studio that I picked to live in is spacious, and really like the layout. Not exactly sure about the comfort level with the other tenants in my same building yet, because one of them likes to prop the door open with a mat instead of using their key; not very thrilled with it. I like the convenience of the shopping areas and commercial businesses near by.

Throughout my stay I have experience many good and bad times with my service request not handle in a timely manner and rehashing situations that should have not been look at. I can say over the pass 4 years I have gotten to know the staff members except recently in late November 2018 our office staff have switch over which is good and bad. Not sure how much longer I will stay at Reflections since the rent has increased but with the same perks. I will really like to know when can a tenant have there carpet clean after staying in apartment for so long or touch up on all the walls including bathrooms. Without having to say something, I just feel with so many routine maintenance inspections they should document the apartments who have lived there over 6+years to see what needs to be touch up or leave a questionnaire and have tenants drop them off to the office of the request.

This place is horrible. There was terrible "renovations/remodels" that took place, the windows leak right above outlets. The front Gates are constantly left open. Robberies happen on a regular basis, and management does nothing to notify residents on safety measures. If anyone knows how to get out of the lease without them robbing your bank account, I would like to hear about it.

Nice apartments but worst management or rather staff including maintaince requests. If they don't change management soon I swear they are going to run the business to the ground. The current manager terrible please don't just hire anyone to be manager if they don't have good customer service skills coz I don't think she knows how to handle situations. So if u re looking for an apartment right Now pls look the other way until there is change. I ve been here 3 yrs now because previous management very good. I didn't have to wait for maintaince request for 3 days before they get fixed sad. I regret renewing my Lease and can't day for it to be up

I Really Like It Here!
I visited Reflections after looking them up online and seeing the less than stellar reviews. It was so nice and just felt like it could be a home. My apartment is spacious and for the price it really can't be beat. I have neighbors who smile and/or greet me. The staff have been great. Twice I have gotten to the office before or after hours and they have allowed me to come in and solved my problem. The only bad things I've seen are that the buildings could use a power wash and that I had ants in my apartment. That being said, it's summer in Indiana, there are going to be ants. I put in a maintenance request and put out some traps and have not been bothered since. Like I said, I really like it here and all the negative reviews just made me realize I needed to take the time to say how much I like it.

Be careful of moving out
I lived there for a couple of year. They made a bogus bills and send the bills to a collection a year after I moved out, yes, a year after. Although I left my contact address and number, they did not even try to contact me (of course since bills are made up). The collection did not have any validation documentations that debt was mine. The collection agency they used was in FL instead of IN. Management of this apartment made a quick cash by using me. The current management says there was take over of this property in 2008, bla, bla, bla. I moved out there legally. Signed the inspection, etc. I'm glad I moved out before I would get any more trouble with them. Their community trash can was always full. In the summer time, it was awful smelling the putrefied stuffs. They didn't prowl snow even after numbers of tenant complained. Parking was a hassle sometimes. Made noise complaint several times. Since management didn't do anything, I had to call police. Awful management, period. They appear nice, but that's about it. They don't care.

great move in
We found ourselves in a difficult situation and needed an apartment immediately. The staff was awesome. We quickly found an open apartment and signed a lease. The price couldn't be beat; we searched close to a dozen places. The place is super nice; new carpet, laundry unit(in every apt.), dishwasher, garbage disposal, etc. With a surprise baby daughter I couldn't ask for a better place.

Unprofessional
I think the apartments are fairly decent, especially for the pricing. Although, some of the staff is very unprofessional. From other residents, I have heard that the last manager did a much better job and was much more friendly. Also, in signing my lease, they failed to mention that there was a monthly pest control fee that would be charged. I was there for 3 months before I started getting the charge and was very confused. I went to the office and asked them about it. They informed me everyone got those charges monthly. Why am I getting charged for pest control when I have never had my apartment sprayed for bugs or anything? Why do I have to suffer because of all the unclean people in the world that don't clean the way they should and get bugs in their home? Another big problem with this property is the unprofessionalism of the property manager, ------. I don't think it should be allowed for her to get intoxicated by the pool after their shift with some friends. It doesn't look good for her or the property to allow staff to do that. Not to mention there are always kids at the pool. This is a very bad example to set for the employees, residents, and children of the community. I personally would not recommend this complex to any of my friends or family as long as ------ is there. She is not friendly at all and acts like she could care less about the residents. I can not wait til my lease is up!

DISAPPOINTED!
I moved in doing a 6 month lease knowing I would be moving to Florida before my 6 month lease was up. I moved into a 2 bed 1 1/2 bath first story apartment January 22, 2011. I moved out May 30, 2011. I decieded to pay my rent for the last 2 months because it was cheaper then breaking my lease. When I moved out I returned my keys to the front office. Keeping in mind I have a spotless apartment basically the way it was when I moved in (4 months earlier). The Bookkeeper said they wouldn't be able to do the walk through until my lease was up, so I couldn't walk the apartment with them. In the mean time when I am moved out and living in Florida, I get 2 phone calls from the maintanence asking when would be a good time to come and do work orders on the apartment. I'm like you guys don't communicate with the front office? I don't live there and front office has the keys. So they're walking all around the apartment leaving who knows what behind! So about a month later I called and asked if the walk through had been done yet. She told me yes and that I would be charged a $30.00 cleaning fee because of the toilets had rings in them. I reminded her that I hadn't been there for over a month. She said there is nothing she could do. So I said you know what fine. But then when I get my End of lease statement or whatever it's called there is also a $50.00 carpet cleaning charge. So I'm very upset, I'm like what's this crap that she never mentioned.!! So I called the Manager. She said she would take a look at the "photos" the bookkeeper took. So I asked you didn't do the walk thru she said no the other lady did (bookkeeper). I replied I thought the maintenance or the manager does the walk thru. She said I've been very busy so she did it and took pictures. I'm just like wow but anyways she said she'll get back with me after she looks at the photos. I don't hear back from her for about 3 days so I called her back. She puts me on hold for about 10-15 minutes, says she had a customer in front of her, didn't believe it for a second she went to just know look at the pics.! She said there was dry cereal or something on the dining room floor so it needed to be cleaned! At this point I'm like where does normal wear and tear come in because you guys have to clean the apartment for the new tenant. So I go on to say I only lived there for 4 months I'm not a dirty person, she says I know people who moved in and lived here for 2 months and have dirtied there apartment like the lived here for years. I said that's not me! She said it's not like were trying to rip people off of there deposit. I said sure could of fooled me!! So insted of getting my $500. deposit back minus my water and trash that's a month behind I got about $350.00. Oh and when she seen how much I was getting back she said well that's still a good amount! I'm just like really lady. It's the fact you guys are a rip off and some bad attitude people up in there! So before I hang up I ask for corporate's number. Can't get a hold of anyone there! I left a message no returned phone call!!

Lived here for 3.5 years... Disappointed.
I'm going to try and keep this short and to the point as I usually have a tendency to ramble on into details. I moved into Reflections in the Fall of 2007 and at first it was nice. Considering the location, apartment size, amenities, staff and parking it was definitely worth the price. Any issues regarding maintenance were dealt with in a timely manner and any interaction with staff was pleasant and reassuring. There was also an officer who patrolled the area and sat at certain sections for the longest time each day. However, in late 2008 / early 2009, everything began to change. Any issues with maintenance took a little longer than usual, trash piled up outside the compactor frequently, the officer no longer patrolled (there was no security), rent prices went up (you're not locked in at a fixed rate) and much more. After two years I went from paying $420 a month to $490 a month, then back down to $480 after another year; I believe it is around $400 now for a studio. There were more reports of vandalism and mischief; and this is ultimately what led to me leaving. In March of this year (2011) I had my apartment broken into. I was gone for less than two hours and in that time they managed to steal just about everything of value. I tried knocking on neighbors doors when I got home and no one answered, heck, I could hear them in their rooms turning off their music and TVs and still didn't answer. When police and maintenance showed up, they made a comment regarding how common this is at Reflections. I thought to myself, "How is this common if I don't hear about it?" I asked them to elaborate and they said that I was the 3rd or 4th person to have their apartment broken into on this building alone. Notice I say building and not community. Apparently, there have been multiple break-ins in this building alone in just the past three months. I confronted the community manager at the time (he is no longer there) and he was an absolute ---. When asked why he isn't warning residents he responded with this, "Even if I had told you there were break-ins occurring on your building it wouldn't have stopped a brick going through your window." That was the last straw. I broke my lease and moved out. Between the break-ins, the negligence of security and downfall of maintenance my opinions of this place have changed from the first two years. IF YOU ARE MOVING HERE DO THE FOLLOWING: - Get a second floor apartment. - If it's a first floor, be sure it is facing within the community and not out against the street or trees. OVERALL... Staff is friendly, the rates are decent, maintenance is so-so, the location is good but I no longer recommend Reflections to friends. PS: Their "gated community" really means gates that hardly ever work on just the entrances.

Horrible bookkeeper
Bookkeeper is in charge of mails. We dropped off our check to pay for rent. She didn't cash it and charge us late fee of $50. I refused to pay. And she said she doesn't care. That makes me very disappointed of their work. who is going to be happy dealing with staff like that
