Indeed, praire point is the perfect place to live. I love the staff here at pp. Its like living in a condo style community. The new construction is a sight to see. Granite counter tops, washer and dryer, wifi, cable ....beautiful all around. Me and my fiance are very happy to live here. The only draw back is our dining area; however, I would suggest renting on the second floor. The first floor was a good option for us because of our workout equipment. Denise is a great example of what a pp team member should be.

Outstanding community with the most effective and friendly staff I have ever encountered. They are fully engaged and have absolute attention to detail. Of all the States and communities that I have lived in over the last 20 years this community is the best organized, maintained, and professionally managed. I absolutely recommend this community without reservation. Thank you to the staff for such a wonderful living experience!

Prairie Point remains my first choice for the Northwest Indiana area! I have been here for almost a year and just renewed my lease! The staff is extremely helpful. The neighbors are friendly and you rarely hear any noise! When I requested maintenance, they were there the same day! The grounds are well kept and the roads and parking areas are kept clear in winter. The end of summer party, they just had, included live music and free food! What a night! They even have a deal with the cable company to keep my cable bill low! The ultimate is having an attached garage for the wintertime! Being from SoCal, I would rank this complex above most of those! I like being near historic Crown Point and there are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. While I can't wait to return home to SoCal, Prairie Pointe makes my stay here tolerable! The web site photos also provide an accurate picture of the facilities!

I was so excited to sign my apartment lease yesterday (9/14/14). This will be my second time living at Prairie Point Apartments. The first time, I moved away due to work obligations in another state. Now I'm back in the area and as I mentioned before, very excited. Here are a few reasons why I'm so excited: Quality! Quality! Quality! The apartments and apartment community are beautiful, the environment serene and planned activities for residents fun and engaging. The staff is excellent. The management Traci and Denise are great! Denise is just as I remember her... extremely professional, personable, knowledgeable and all around welcoming. With a variety of apartments from which to select in NWI, I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Prairie Point isn't just where I will live....it's a part of my lifestyle. Thanks Denise! You're Awesome! - MW

Even though I work in Valparaiso, I prefer to live at Prairie Point as I feel they are one of the better, if not best, apartment communities in Northwest Indiana. As a 3 year resident, I've been consistently treated with respect, kindness, and professionalism by both the leasing and maintenance staff. Further, the residents I've met throughout the years have been friendly and engaging; from waves and smiles to hello's and how are you's. The most prominent item in my mind is I can genuinely say the leasing staff takes an active and earnest interest in their residents. This can be seen through the events they hold throughout the year, contests, the activity on their Facebook page, and their availability/interaction with all residents. Maintenance wise, I have found their response to be relatively quick, their work to be spot on and completed in a timely manner. The pool, fitness center, playground and sand volleyball court are wonderful amenities capable of engaging the diverse array of residents. If you're in the market for an apartment, I would recommend visiting Prairie Point for a walk through.

My boyfriend and I are relocating for our jobs and fell in love with Prairie Point. We looked at so many apartments in the area and none compared to The Reserve at Prairie Point. Denise was very friendly, knowledgable & helpful!

I've lived at Prairie Point for 3 years and have loved it! I'm a young professional that relocated to the area and the staff has done nothing, but made me feel at home. Denise, Traci and Jackie are the best office staff you'll ever have. The clubhouse has a heated salt water pool that is always clean, an on-site gym facility with 24 hr access, outside sand volleyball, and monthly activities for residents. The grounds are landscaped nicely and maintenance is friendly and quick to respond. I enjoy the layout of my apartment that includes a walk-in closet and full size washer and dryer. I love the vaulted ceilings and large kitchen. Rarely do I hear my neighbors. The grounds are very safe and I've never had an issue. The only thing that could have been better was the water pressure. Prairie Point is by far superior to all other rental properties in the area and it shows!! The residents commute from work distances to live in such a nice community!

I love my apartment and this complex. I have been here for five years and I am completely satisfied. The staff is wonderful. All are very pleasant. I am planning to move into one of the new units that is currently under construction. I have no plans to move from this complex anytime in the near future.

we've been here for about 4 months, and everything is soooooo good so far. We're from Japan and this is the first time for us to live in the US,so we were nervous. but EVERY STAFF and RESIDENT is really kind and nice ! we can meet them at many events held at clubhouse. we always feel so good at home, because it's really quiet and safe. our rooms are spacious and clean, warm.beautiful landscape, lawn from our patio. a washing machine, dryer, fridge, microwave, dishwasher are equipped. when we have a problem, a maintainance staff comes soon!(usually next day if it's not urgent.) Only one thing,as hot bath water in tank has a limit, we can't take shower 3people continuously.we have to wait for about 15min until it gets hot again. we have an attached garage as well,it's really useful!we don't need to walk outside to get in our car in such a cold winter! there'are also heated-pool,gym,playgroud for kids next to clubhouse.we're looking forward to be much warmer outside!

Best place to live in NWI! ... being in Chicago without living in Chicago. Office staff and Maintenance always ready to help. Staff is always organizing events for residents and makes everyone feel at home ... the staff has truly created a community atmosphere. Maintenance is always available - on and off hours!

My family and I moved to Prairie Point from Chicago 1.5 years ago. Living at Prairie Point has been the best part about our move to NWI. The office staff is extremely accommodating, friendly and conscientious. They are always hosting some sort of fun event or get-together for the tenants. It's definitely a little community living here. The head staff members actually live at PP -- so they obviously love living here, too! The grounds are very well-maintained. The flowers they have planted in the summer are beautiful. The pool is always clean and never too busy with rowdy kids that you would want to avoid going. I normally go to a regular gym, but when I've used the PP gym, it's always clean and easy to get right on a machine. Their new treadmills have little TV's attached and fans ON the treadmills (as a runner, this is amazing!). I cannot say enough good words about the maintenance staff. They come within a few hours (or minutes) of submitting a repair request. They are quick (but thorough) and always are friendly with my toddler. The office always follows up with me to make sure the repair was done to my satisfaction (of my many years of apartment living, I have never experienced the staff doing this!! So nice!). The tenants here could not be nicer. Obviously they all aren't super-friendly, but for the most part everyone waves and says hello. I never hear my neighbors through the wall -- just not an issue. I have heard that some people think the rent is pricey (and it is the most we have ever paid for apartment living, but this is by far the best apartment we have ever lived in). When we were looking in the area, I did compare prices with other apartment complexes, and PP is very comparable with their rent prices. You get what you pay for here -- a wonderful apartment that is pristine when you move in, fabulous staff (who know everyone by name), friendly and quick maintenance men, gorgeous and clean grounds, and great neighbors! I can't imagine a better living environment for my family and I know I will miss it greatly when we have to move. 5 stars for Prairie Point Apartments!

Male 25: I gladly just signed my renewal lease, this will be my second year at Prairie Point. I can't say enough about this place. Plenty of different style apartment to choose from. Nice tall ceilings. Plenty of room and happy to report no maintenance issues or anything broken. The walls are thin but you hardly notice because everyone is pretty cognitive and respectful of one another. I love when I walk out my front door, I don't have to then walk down a hallway and three flights of stairs to exit the building ( like i was living in a glorified hotel). All apartment entrances are outside. As you leave your front door, you see and smell the flowers neatly lining the sidewalk that leads to parking. Parking is no more than 15 paces from each apartments front door (good for older folks) and I have never had issues locating a spot. The Staff are all very kind and just down to earth good people. They put on a ton of events for the residents. And I know what your thinking "Oh an apartment event who shows up to those??" I'll be the first to say, Prairie Point draws in a great community of people and when they host an event people come. Why .cause they are ALWAYS a blast!! Pool Party w/ live band, Bingo Night, Happy Hour, Scavenger Hunt, RailCats Game and Volley Ball Wednesdays. I personally have met and made many friends here through Prairie Point. It is a little pricey but I'm still here because here you get what you pay for. Great Layout, Modern, Clean, Safe, Convenient, Fun, Well Ran and that to me is worth a little extra every month.

I lived at Prairie Point from September 2012 - September 2013. This is by far the best apartment community in which I've lived. The apartment was spotless upon my arrival, the staff was super friendly and professional and the amenities were outstanding. My favorite things about Prairie Point were the sand volleyball court and the fabulous pool area. Overall, I don't think I could have picked a better place to live in Merrillville. I highly recommend living there!

I have been living at Prairie Point Apartments close to three years and I love my apartment as much today as I did when I moved in. Prairie Point is a well maintained diverse community where the residents take pride in their living environment. The apartments are super comfortable (although a little pricey)with a townhome feel. The staff is amazing and always coming up with fun events for the residents. Any minor maintenance issues I have had was handled in a professional and timely manner. I do not had anything negative to say about living at Prairie Point. I recommend Prairie Point to anyone looking to live in a clean, friendly, quiet rental apartment complex.

My wife and I moved in about a year ago from downtown Chicago and we absolutely love it. I think it's been the closest thing to us living in our own home. It's a very quiet and well kept community in which neighbors all take pride in preserving where they live. The management team has taken the initiative to ensure that the tenants are engaged and enjoy living at Prairie Point. In addition to all of that, the apartments are spacious and lends itself to townhouse style living.

I really love my apartment but the prices are just getting to be too much. I have a one bedroom with a den, one bath, and the rent is $1,020 a month. Let's get real, this is is Northwest Indiana and the apartment complex is across the street from the Lake County Government Complex. This is also known as the jail, the work release program, and the juvenile center. So safety?...I feel safe in the apartment but you better believe I lock my doors at night! I have lived here for three years and each year the rent goes up. They are pricing themselves out of a tenant, it is definitely not worth the money seeing as it's better to buy a home right now. It's a shame that they keep raising their prices because I really do like my apartment.

Pretty Good but there are some issues
Apartment is the best I've ever had. But the walls are a little thin and if you live above a garage, that is the most annoying noise ever. I find management to be extremely picky and sometimes on the obtuse side; they pick and choose their battles. They don't have a problem with tenants with noisy motorcycles or noisy children, but they will pick on another tenant over something as minor as how they park their car. Just an observation... And the rent keeps increasing, even though most salaries are not. Bummer. Not sure how long I will stay here. And they have way too many inspections. I think they are snooping. One inspection was for cleaning out the air ducts. I came home after the inspection to find the same dust balls in my ducts, but a note from management to take care of another issue. Stick to what you're inspecting, or are you looking through my underwear drawer? I know lack of privacy is the downside of renting, but their inspections are too often and obviously an excuse to do more than inspect.
