I have enjoyed living in this complex. The amenities are well maintained and the rent has been very reasonable so far. I hope to renew my lease when the time comes. The office staff is very prompt and responds quickly and professionally to any questions/concerns I have.

I would highly recommend Lakes of Valparaiso. It's a quiet community and full of things to do inside and out. Beautiful grounds and they even have a play place for Fido. Maintenance is awesome. If there's an emergency in the middle of night in subzero temperatures these folks will be there. Hats off to maintenance and Lakes of Valparaiso

So far so good, community has been really welcoming and management has been helpful and quick with replies/maintenance. Lots of dog families which gives our dog some friends and we have enjoyed the community activities hosted so far.

Community has been great. Staff events have been fun and welcoming. Love the amenities that are provided to us. This will be the first year to try the pool, so looking forward to that. Moving from Chicago to here has been great for the piece and quiet of city life.

Rent hikes wveycyear without new value provided. Poorly planned/boring events, zero community created. Incompetent maintenance scheduling treatments to the road and grass without considering residents. Incredibly disappointed, and it's no wonder there are empty units.

Love the intimacy of the neighborhood and community. Perfect for raising our kids; feeing comfortable and safe. Our family enjoys the amenities and the accessibility of them. Other neighborhoods are within walking distance along with some trails.

The Lakes is a great apartment community overall. The staff is always incredibly helpful, responsive, and kind. I really don't have much to complain about as far as the condition and quality of the community. The apartments aren't brand new anymore though and it doesn't feel worth such a high premium on rent. This is my second time living at The Lakes, and I understood the premium when the community was still pretty new. But rent rates have increased at a higher rate than other very comparable apartment communities in the city. Just a small one bedroom apartment rents for the same price as, if not more than, the mortgage on a multi-bed multi-bath house. I understand you get maintenance-free living and amenities, but it still just feels like you don't get the value you'd expect for the price. Aside from that, the experience living at The Lakes has been great both times I've lived here.

I love the community; I really can't wait to be less busy at work to enjoy the amenities more. My son does enjoy the gym since it is open 24/7 and always very clean for him. I wish the rest of the amenities were opened longer times so I can enjoy it too with my son, as the pool table and back side.
