You will not find a nicer place then Lakes of Valparaiso. The amenities are great. The location is so convenient to everything Valpo. My unit is gorgeous and so well maintained. The office staff are so friendly and try to know you by name.

Rent increases are out of control when the quality of the community has decreased. Office and clubhouse continue to decrease. The Dish Network and Frontier services are horrible and not worth the price, especially the internet service.

So far okay. I just moved in so there is time to get comfortable with the neighborhood. I'm still waiting to get the cable set up. Maybe need to contact the office. I wish my address lead to my actual apartment and not nobody else's

Maintenance is sufficient. The apartment building is very noisy. Noise between apartments is excessive in apartments above and below. Every footstep is heard like stomping. I have a unit above where the person is up all night walking and making noise.

Living at Lakes of Valparaiso has been wonderful for the last almost 5 years! Great places to walk out pup, safe, love the pool and the common spaces at the office (they're huge with loads of amenities right there!), and the fitness center.

Overall management and maintenance is wonderful and responsive. It is a nice community. Parking can be an issue, but that has improved. Common areas in resident buildings need cleaned much more often. Overall, I am happy with the community.

Great place to live, close to everything restaurants, expressways, Lake Michigan, schools. Good amenities friendly staff. It's dumb stuff like this survey that irritate me. I'm happy with the location and community. We would love to stay. I'm very disappointed that to move to another apartment they need $1,000 transfer fee. It's sad that I am forced to move to another rental community. If I leave early they charge a $2,500 fee even if they find another renter.

My experience in this community has been solid, they should definitely do something about the parking seeing that. I have a private entrance, but I always have to walk across the entire parking lot to access my front door. My upstairs neighbor is extremely loud and it's hard to get any real information from the office staff. The apartment is nice and the pool is a nice feature but I feel like the rent is a bit overpriced (especially for it to keep going up). Overall a solid apartment and decent community just would like a little more for the price.

The community is nice overall, however, it feels as though Weiss Management is looking to nickel and dime the residents. There are clear corners cut with these apartments yet the amount I pay in rent doesn't reflect it. Also, it upsets me that there are associated fees (including DishTV) that you are required to have, and it is not included in rent price.

A complicated approval process. Having to put a maintenance request to have a clean apartment before you've moved in. We are both professional people. We are renting short term while building. Would not recommend for 2500 per month

Very nice community. Easily the best apartment complex in Valparaiso. I have friends that live in various apartments and have been on the lookout for other places to live prior to moving to the Lakes, and no apartment compares.

This was once a very nice community when first built, but it has fallen into disrepair. There does not appear to be any sense of ownership in the appearance or amenities for renters. No adoption or even interest of new EV charging for tenants, weeds and crabgrass and bare spots permeate the grounds. They are responsive to maintenance requests, but just doesn't seem like anyone on the staff or property management takes the initiative when on the grounds.
