We moved here in January of this year and couldn't be any happier, we love it here, the apartment is very roomy, love the kitchen layout and the closet in the master is huge. All the rooms are roomy and the storage is great. The parking here is excellent I can always get a good spot near the building. The grounds are kept very nice and well manicured. Overall appearance is excellent, the upkeep and landscaping is very well manicured. The noise level is good, This is a very safe place to live, the lighting outside the apartment and the parking lot is very well lit. Construction in our apartment is great no complaints. The staff are very nice and accommodating and are very down to earth, easy to talk to. Your maintenance crew are very good they are on top of what ever needs to be done and they do it right. Overall we are extremely happy here and plan on being here a while. Thank you, Tom n Sue Wagner

I have only lived here a couple of months but love my apartment. It has sooo much space! Even with all my furniture and my son's toys there is still room to spread out and move. The bedrooms are huge as well as the bathrooms and I don't even have enough clothes and shoes to fill the master closet it is so big! The complex is very well maintained and I appreciate the timeliness of repair requests being answered.

I've lived in Park Edge for almost 5 years. It's really nice. The maintenance guys always come in a timely manner when called. The complex looks really great because they keep up with the lawns. The clubhouse in also a great place to be; It has a really nice pool and fitness area. They also have events that are really great to attend.

I have recently moved into park edge apartments. Have not had any major issues pop up yet, the only thing so far was my kitchen light burnt out and maintenance was there within two hours to take care of this. So far I am very impressed with my aparyment and the friendly maintenance staff. Park edge is one of the few places I found that would accept my 60lb dog. Will update throughout my lease.

I enjoyed my stay at Parkedge, just recently moved out due to a pet issue, which of course immediately changed once new owners came in. Always the way. Anyway, the good stuff: Location: Awesome to be just off Shawnee Mission Park, obviously great for people who cycle, run or just enjoy going to the park. If you like Theatre in the Park, well, that's just quarter mile down the road as well. Maintenance: Fantastic, over the years I've seen maintenance folks come and go, but generally the quality has been high, there's always been a core of great maintenance folks. No problem has ever been too small for them to deal with. I even had a maintenance issue the morning I was going out of town. No problem, I left it all in the hands of the maintenance crew, got a call that evening telling me all was good and to enjoy my vacation. Office Staff: Generally great staff, there used to be plenty of family activities, I remember the maintenance Manager waiting on myself and family at the Christmas party. Zach was always great to work with, again, nothing was ever too much to ask for. Neighbours: Maybe I was lucky, but I had 7 fantastic neighbours in my block, never any noise, friendly and outgoing. Landscaping: Very nice and well maintained, they do a nice job. Now the not so good. Parking: If you can pay, the extra for covered parking. It can be a crunch especially near the second entrance. Speed: There are speed bumps, they do work well, it would be better if there was a couple more just off the entrances of Renner (a 45MPH road) Most drivers though are pretty good.

Just moved out. A good place to call home while looking to buy a house. They made it real easy with a 4 month lease which was really hard to find. No real major complaints. If I sell this house I'll be moving back.

I have lived here for the past year and a half and I absolutely love it here! You can't beat the heated pool and fitness center. The staff on site are also extremely nice and always willing to help. Plus being right across from Shawnee Mission Park, it's just a walk to the park.

I am renewing my lease here based on the new management. I love my apartment, the pool & fitness room are awesome and you cannot beat our location. So far, the new management seems really good. The staff is always smiling now and seem very willing to help!

I can't believe some of the recent reviews! I just moved out of Park Edge, only because of financial issues. But if I could of stayed there, I would have! They are by far the best apartments I've ever lived in! Any maintenance issue was handled the day I called in.In fact, my air conditioner broke and within 5 minutes of calling they were there to fix it, not to mention it was a holiday! Office staff was always friendly and willing to help. The property is always kept clean and you can't get much better than valet trash service! I will definitely miss this apartment complex and would recommend it to anybody! Go check it out for yourself before listening to the negative reviews!

My husband and I agree with the last few people's poor reviews on here. Unfortunately the manager here is rude and will do anything to ignore any situation. She will also make you wait to try to avoid dealing with renual situations. We have never complained because all we want is a safe decent priced place to live that if we do go for you we expect that in return. Well it has been noisy. The guy below us always plays loud music, they called us saying we left trash all over which could never have been us and we proved they were wrong because we take our trash to the dumpster, we pay our rent on the 1st and sometimes before, my car was hit by another car in there parking lot over night and they didn't care, maintenance takes weeks to come out so my husband ends up doing it then we they come they leave a note like they did something, management could care less about your well being, my last apartment manager ended up being friends with me on facebook and gave me $150 to stay with them plus a carpet cleaning. I wish I would have stayed with them!! Do not come to Park Edge they will put you in the poor house and don't have souls while doing it :-(

Do yourself a favor and avoid Park Edge. I echo the comments of others that completely agree with the poor customer service you receive and the general lack of respect for its residents. It's fine if you hope to never deal with the rental office, but if you do, don't expect them to be helpful. In the end, they're only out for money, not for helping residents.

Park Edge Apartments are definitely an above average apartment complex. I currently live here and really don't have many complaints. Safety is never a concern, the clubhouse/work out room/pool are always kept clean and are top of the line. The 2 bedroom apartments are some of the most spacious I have found. Selling point was washer/drier already in unit as well as the huge closets and 3 showers. Only complaint I have is that I sometimes feel like they watch EVERY thing you do. When you're an adult, you don't want to feel like your "parent" is watching over your shoulder. Other than that, I've really enjoyed my time here. Zach, who works in the office, is always very friendly and is prompt in answering any questions you may have. I would definitely suggest this apartment to anybody searching for a 2 bedroom in this area. It's a huge added bonus with Shawnee Mission Park across the street as well!

I have lived here for more than 2 years now. I just renewed my lease. I love Park Edge! My maintenance requests have always been responded to the same day. When my dryer quit working, they ordered one that day, and I had a new one the next! There is no drama with the neighbors. They do curbside trash pick up every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Yes, you get fined if you don't pick up poop (I don't know about you, but I don't want to step in dog poop!). There are restrictions about what you can have on your balcony. I don't have a grill and didn't need to put anything in the storage off the balcony; a bike fits in there. The location and convenience of having all appliances provided (including washer & dryer) were the biggest selling points for me.

Dont Rent Here!

Park Edge is by far not the best complex to live in. Many other complexes in this area so don't choose this one for more than a few reasons. My car was 1 day late on renewing my tags when i got the notice on my car from the complex. Next morning, my car was towed. I have had a leaking toilet from day one of living at Park Edge and it has still not been fixed. My wife and I are trying to buy a house and were 1 day late on our 60 notice to vacate the apartment complex and they are charging us for another month at 1150 instead of our regular rent of 950 and try to plead with the manager about maybe just paying a late fee or coming up with an alternative since we have never been late on rent or done anything wrong in this community. That was a no after she never called us back for weeks after leaving messages. Very Rude Management. Oh yeah and if you have a dog....well they charge you $500 dollars if you don't pick up their poop. They will charge you for everything they can so don't get excited about their low move in prices, they will get that money back. Don't move in here! Also don't ever throw anything in the garbage at night. Terrible Raccoon problem. There is only one Trash compactor in the whole complex by the way which is terrible. You get fined for even having a grill on your deck on in your storage closet. They said if i did not get rid of it, then they would forced to toss it themselves. My bike got stolen one night when it was hooked up to the chain out back so bikes need to stay in your apartment. Pool is also small and shade covers half the pool so hard to lay out and get sun. They other half the pool is indoors so not to big. I vote NO to Park Edge!

I have read some of the latest reviews and wanted to put in my two cents. I completely agree that the last manager on site was pretty rude and poor. My wife and I were not fans either. Park Edge has stepped up their game though and are now under new management and my wife and I can tell a huge difference. The office staff is still amazing, super personable and always make you feel at home. They don't forget names, not even your pets! They have updated facilities to better service residents and are always very quick to service things that need fixed. For this reason my wife and I have extended our lease for another year and couldn't be happier. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to give Park Edge a chance! Great place to call home!

Good place to call home.

I am starting my 4th year at Park Edge. I like it very much. It isn't perfect but no place is. I have lived in 10 different apt complexes across the country and this has been the best by far. The rent is quite reasonable for a place within literally almost 60 seconds of both I435 and Shawnee Mission Park. I like the layout of the two bedroom with it's hallway -- makes it look more like a home/house. All of my appliances with the exception of the microwave have worked very well since Feb 2008. The microwave was replaced the same day it went out. If you come home late (>10pm) yes, you do have to park farther away from your apt -- but that's true at every complex i've ever lived at. And due to it's circular layout you're still not parking that far away. All of the staff have always been very nice to me. April is a very attentive manager. They got new equipment in the gym that is very nice.I have never seen a cockroach the entire 3 yrs i've lived here -- by that criteria alone it makes it the best place around. I look around at neighboring apt complexes to comparison shop and PE is always the best apartment for money spent. I recommend it to all my friends and coworkers looking for a nice place to call home.
