HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE
This place is horrible. Management is horrible and rude. Tennants are loud and they do nothing. The move in special is low but when you leave is when they will get you. Be careful living here!!! Please use this website if you have a complaint as well. Stay away I lived in many complexes and this is the worst!

You get what you pay for.
I moved into my 1 bedroom in the Fall of 2009. Things started out nice, everything worked great, no problems at all. The biggest mistake I made was renewing my lease....Everything seemed to turn to caca after that. Not only did they increase my rent for the second year (which I expected) but I soon started getting fines for everything. I received a notice on my door about their trash policy.....my neighbors has left their trash on my side of the apartment exterior, and I got fined $25 dollars for it! On top of that, the trash valet service makes the apartments look horrible three days a week; neighbors leave their open trash bags strewn about the complex waiting to be picked up, while birds and God knows what rummage through the mess. I've had to call twice about my air conditioner not working, the dishwasher barely cleans, and my garbage disposal has crapped out....again. There's a hole in the disposal unit and now it leaks nasty water underneath my kitchen sink. I've had my issues with management, but I cannot complain about their promptness. The unit itself is nice, I have a new stove, microwave and washer and dryer....and it's one of the bigger one bedroom units in town. Overall, you get what you pay for. Every apartment is going to have their issues, but I would say that you could do better for the price. By the way, the parking is an absolute nightmare. If you have any kind of social life and stay out past 8, don't expect to find a spot remotely near your unit. And don't even think about trying to park in the covered parking. They're reserved for a reason and you WILL get towed. Never made that mistake again.

Decent Place to Live
We've lived at Park Edge for about 2 months now and really have liked it. Our last apartment had awful management practices and would take weeks or even months to fix basic things in our place. The park edge staff so far has repaired everything we've asked them to within several days from our request. Personally, I think for the services provided here, the rental prices are very reasonable. We looked at other places in Jphnson County in the $700 range, and all of those were really run run down. Paying a little extra to live in a nicer place like this is really worth it to us. We never hear our neighbors, though we may have a quiet building. My only complaint so far is that there are never any pet waste removal bags on the property (they are supposed to be some) hence I only gave a 3 star rating for that.

Leasing agents are down right --------.
I was seriously considering renting here until I read the fake positive reviews on here. I can deal with $25 fees for littering, I don't litter. I can deal with pushing the button on a trash compactor so I don't get fined for leaving garbage by the side of the only compactor on site. It may be a well maintained apartment community. But the last few positive postings are so obviously fake, with their generic free email addresses, fake names, snippy reviews to unpleasant posts. I just want you leasing agents to know that your responses and fake postings made me absolutely not want to live here. I find it disgusting. You act like people are dumb, and like the percentages on here matter. They don't. You do. Get your ---- together.

Exceeding apartment living-Park Edge
Park Edge is a lot more than just your basic come and go apartment community. For example, the staff puts on a Back-to-School carnival for the kids, a barbecue contest in the summer, holiday events and a bar night. It is also nice and rare that whenever you go into the office and/or clubhouse every staff member knows your name and apartment number. There is a genuine since of community found in the staff as well as fellow neighbors. For the 2 years that we have lived here it has not been apartment living, it has been home.

Great Place!
I have loved living at Park Edge Apartments. I lived in several apartments before here and this is the only place I have renewed my lease with. This place feels like home, friendly neighbors, staff, and maintenance. The staff put on great gatherings so you can get to know your neighbors better. They have a wonderful pool that is opened year around with a nice work out center. I have even recommended this place to friends on a few occasions.

Helpful staff
The staff at Parkedge Apartments are always fast to respond to the few problems I have had.Very friendly in the office or out on the grounds fixing items. They have occasional parties and they are fun and give you a chance to get to know the people who live around you. Susan Anderson

just moved but was happy
I just left Park Edge for another complex in Olathe, but only to be closer to my daughter's school. Overall, I was very happy at PE. I do agree that it was starting to slide when I left in September, but I was there for two years. Noise was an issue in my building as well, and management did their best to work it out. I always found the staff to be polite and helpful. I thought that April (property manager) was very accessable. As long as you didn't break a rule (and I appreciated every rule they had), there never seemed to be a reason for thinking they were anything but professional. At least that's my opinion. When I moved, I was charged for the drip pans on the stove and nothing more. That charge was totally justified, and the rest of my deposit was returned within a few weeks. I would hate for the place to get trashed by some of the newer (much less mature and responsible) tenants moving into the complex. It's such a great location, and the area is being improved otherwise. I would encourage the girls to weed out the riff-raff and keep it a great place to live. Deterioration can happen fast!

Great plact to live
I lived there from October 2009 through June 2010. Contrary to some recent comments, we had absolutely no problem with the staff. Office staff were always helpful and maintenance requests were addressed promptly. Its unfortunate that so many residents were too lazy to close the door and push the button when the trash compactor got full. I'm glad they instituted fines because I was tired of wading through or throwing away someone else's trash, and I'm sure staff was tired of picking it all up. Anyone complaining about rude office staff must have been a complete d**k to start with, because everyone there was always very friendly and helpful to me. I would recommend Park Edge Apts.

I found out from a friend and former resident of this complex that the staff is incentivizing residents to write positive reviews on the site by giving away an iPad. So don't believe this sudden rush of great reviews you see. I had nothing but problems with noise, neighbors and management when I lived here which is why I got out.

Worst place I have ever lived.
The staff is a joke, they are the rudest I have ever dealt with. The biggest problem I have with them is their fines. They fine you $25 for every piece of trash the wind happens to blow into your front yard. To date this place has charged me over $300..not including the $420 they charged for the rent being 2 days late. There is only 1 trash dumpster for the whole complex and it fills quickly. They installed cameras to catch and fine people who leave the trash ouside the dumpster when its full. The apartments them selves are not bad but WAY WAY over priced.

Stay Away!!!
The management will take weeks to do anything you request if they do anything at all but I'll put money down on them putting a notice on your door for everyone to see saying you owe them something. They come into your home unannounced and for what I'm not sure. They say it's for inspections but I don't see the point if they don't bother to improve anything.

READ THIS!!
The floor plan and space is great! Nice neighborhood. That's about it. People up front RARELY answer their phones. And they are ridiculous b*tch#s!! Very rude. Their maintenence people are not the brightest crayon in the box. Took 4 hours, yep I said 4 hours to replace something so simple in the air conditioning unit(after I looked it up I saw that I could have probably done it in 30 min.) They try to suck every dime out of you the can. check this out. THE TRASH COMPACTOR WAS FULL, SO WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THAT HAPPENS, TOSS IT TO THE SIDE OF THE DUMPSTER. DUH. WELL THAT'S WHAT WE DID, AND THEY DUG THROUGH OUR TRASH BAG TO FIND INFORMATION ON US TO FINE US 25 DOLLARS CAUSE IT WAS AGAINST THE RULE. WHAT THE ---- ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO DO WITH IT? Let it stink up your apartment? Or I know let my crawling 8 month old get into it cause it is just sitting around. EMPTY THE F*CK#NG COMPACTOR AND WE WOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT. Believe me we tried to explain to them that it was full, but they kept saying it's agaisnt the rule. Well we made up a new rule, the compactor can't be full. Or we get free rent.. They are anything but friendly. The maintence people walk around with cigerettes hanging from their mouths all day. I think part of their job is getting emphysema.... If these apartments were not so big, and we need space, we would peace out. I think a lot of people think the same because there are PLENTY of vacant apartments. They are ridiculous to deal with. Very unpromising.

two thumbs up
This is a great place to live. The staff is friendly, the apartments are spacious, and maintenance is efficient. Water is included in the rent price, new washer & dryer included in the apartments, they have curbside trash pickup three days a week, and electric is very reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I love my apartment!!!
I moved in a few months ago and can honestly say it was worth it. My rent is reasonable, maintenance makes us feel important like we matter, my utilities all together are around $100 per month, the office staff great, parking is easy, community is clean, I don't hear my neighbors, it's quiet, no police coming through all the time, they pick up trash three days a week for free, pool is 24-hrs all year round, it's clean, no overcrowding with 20 people in one apt, close to the hwy, right by lifetime fitness where i work out, washer and dryer come with and they don't even ask for more money to have it. They really have it together and the staff is a solid staff... no big turnover which makes a huge difference. Living here makes me feel good about having family and friends visit since Im not embarassed about this place. It's more like showing off where i live. You have to come and see this place and meet the great office staff.

I Love PARK EDGE
We moved to Park Edge in April of this year. We absolutely love it. The floorplans are HUGE compared to other apartments in the area. The staff is great. They always work hard to try and fix our problems. I have heard some negative things from other residents but I have definately not experienced anything negative so far. I would definately recommend Park Edge!!! :)

Park Edge Apts.
My husband and I have lived in several apt communities. Park Edge, falls in the category of a home environment. We by sure luck, found out about Park Edge, and well. We are thoroughly enjoying our new home. The office staff is very much like that of a good friend. They are always, courteous, and helpful. We did not have that type of environment in our previous apt community. There is so much to do at Park Edge! Re the property, the staff keeps it nicely groomed, and inviting. There are rules, and well, like your own home, the rules and policy's need to be kept. Park Edge makes no bones about what there rules are. We could not be happier here at Park Edge Apts!

Do not rent here
Move in day was horrible. My apartment was still a mess. We paid 150 to have two walls painted and my 6 year old nephew could have done a better job. The lanolium in he kitchen and laundry room was torn in multiple spots took two weeks to get fixed what should have been done when we moved in. Bathrooms looked like they have never been cleaned. Our windows would not stay open and the master bathroom toilet was loose. This place was not ready to move in at all. Master bathroom toilet is still not fixed. The management team and maitenance is a joke not helpful at all. If you move in make sure you take your trash to the dumpster instead of letting them pick it up or you could be fined 25 dollars for following their rules.Their pool looks nice from the outside but dont dare swim in it. Its looks like they never clean it hair floating around every where. Rent is to high for what you get. If your looking for a nice apartment close to the park try the Trails just down the road on renner. We should have never left there and when our lease is up will probably return. Their management staff is friendly and helpful maintenace jumps on your request.

Spacious
These apartments are nice and spacious, the area is beautiful and seems quite safe. The staff is a bit difficult but that is basically true of all apartments. It is a good safe location. Wonderful if you have a large dog.

Would live here again in a heartbeat
These apartments are the nicest I have ever lived in. The 2BD/2BA apartments have a hall built at an angle that accommodates a hugh MB closet and bathroom and provides a wonderfully placed visitor bathroom near (but unseen from) the kitchen/dining area. With a large front room, the apartment feels more like a home. If it were a condo, I'd consider buying. The only problems we had while we lived here were some of the redneck neighbors driving through the parking lot at a million miles an hour (with kids and pets around, this is not cool) and set of faulty fire alarms that had a tendency to go off during lightning storms. The pricing was a little bit high, in my opinion, but for the apartments and convenience for me near the job, it was worth it. My job moved me elsewhere -- I wish I could have taken the apartments with me. * Oh and the staff - are phenomenal. They understood my situation and worked with me to break my lease and come up with a system of payment for the lease breakage fee that would fit my needs. They bent over backwards for me, and I am still greatly appreciative. On the occasion that I had to call maintenance for air conditioner repair, the maintenance was there within the hour and had the problem fixed within two hours. It was a great relief and a significant upgrade over the previous apartments where I had lived.

Nice Place to live
Park Edge apartments have been great to me. The staff has been very helpful anytime I have needed help. They repair things quickly and are very friendly. The staff did turn over a lot a while back and that has made a difference. The facilities are nice. I have no problems with noise or parking. The grounds are well kept. Having my trash picked up three days a week is great. I would definatly recommend this complex if you are looking for a nice place to live with a lot of space.

Outstanding so far!
Nope, I'm not from the office wasting time on a Saturday to drum up business. I've been here 4 months and it's been great so far. The only time I've had to wait in the office was for the one staffer to finish assisting someone else (it was 630pm, I understand why there was only one person working). My car's been broken in to, but a 5-year-old could break in to it and this place doesn't have garages, so I kinda took that risk when I chose the place. It's met my expectations.

Thumbs DOWN!!!
The Staff is HORRIBLE!!! They make you sit and wait for them FOREVER when I can clearly see someone back in the back office looking right at me. The maintenance is also very slow and lazy! For instance this past weekend with the snow we had, they did not even shovel or have a snow truck come through at all. They didnt bother to shovel the sidewalks until about 12:00 on sunday when most of it was already melted, and they never put salt down at the buildings!
