Our experience at Park Edge apartments is varied. The first 3.5 years were nearly perfect. With the exception of some maintenance problems, some big some small, it truly felt like we were "home". As management changed, the feeling dwindled. Then management changed again and the feeling was totally lost. I feel that Park Edge went from genuinely caring about the residents to how can we make a dime extra on every tenant. Generally speaking, maintenance was reliable, but it just wasn't found the last couple of years. Management eventually changed it in such a way that it no longer felt like an apartment "home", but somewhere we lived. Communication issues, reliability, responsibility and quality...these are all things that slipped through the cracks as the changes happened.

We like it very much living here but the lease increases annually are very high for us with only social security income which hasn't been that great in past years for the lease increases also the way the water bill is figured is not very fair, we are paying way to much for water which we dont use. I really think you need to look at how you can be more fair

Tracy and Marcy are extremely pleasant to make your day bearable. Prop mamagement email address seems to be ignored until necessary. They are working to make improvememts but their contractor choices could be better.

Living at Park Edge has been a great experience. Cost is hands down the best, compared with surrounding communities. Maintenance requests are handled very quickly. Office staff is available, helpful, friendly and responsive. Property upkeep makes for an eye pleasing place to come home to. Floor plans are gorgeous, closet space is incredibly generous with true walk-in closets. I would recommend Park Edge Apartments to anyone looking for an exceptional apartment home. As a bonus, it's across from Shawnee Mission Park. You also have entertainment, restaurants, gas stations, shopping and access I-435 literally right down the street, so you can be anywhere in the metro in no time. I love living here.

Been here 6 months and only complaint is that the heated pool isn't very heated in the winter when one would want a pool heated.. with that being my only complaint, it's a pretty nice place to live!....

Overall I've had a positive experience. It does seem that there is a large turnover of property managers. Five managers since I've been here. Maxis properties seems to move people around a lot so it's difficult for property managers to get to know residents.

The property is so convenient for surrounding activities within the city; and the local markets it's a great location. The access to the property amenities is also a plus; the pool and gym is also a plus!!

Rules are not enforced. Dogs are frequently off leash running up to myself and/or husband while trying to take our dog out. Also, grass is all over the place and they do not cut short therefore cutting multiple times per week.

Park Edge does not maintain thier stairs at all. They are constantly rusting and falling apart. Park edge also has maintenance employees that do more harm than good. While the employees themselves are very nice, Nothing ever gets fixed the right way. The overall maintenance of the property is subpar. The quality of the apartments is also very poor. Appliances, facets, outside fire suppression systems, ect are constantly breaking and having to be repaired and replaced.

I am not a current resident of the community. After waiting SEVERAL WEEKS to hear back for the young lady I had been working with, I called HER. I was then told that although I paid the application fee and the system clearly took my money and sent a completion email, my unit had been given away. I am extremely displeased and disappointed. I thought I wanted to be in this community and as soon as I pay my money, my apartment has been given away? If I could have done everything online, TO INCLUDE selecting, paying and holding my unit, why wasn't that told to me? The entire process was not explained well, AT ALL. I still have not received my refund. Park Edge has successfully wasted my time and money. I have a newborn to feed and I wasted my money for nothing. Needless to say, I will never pursue Park Edge again. I would never refer this place to anyone.

Manager turn over is bad. Litter on the property can be a problem. Landscaping has been removed & not replaced. Repair work on buildings left nails, metal and other debris on the ground, a safety issue.

When we first moved in the manager here was very good at communicating. Now communication is minimal. The pool was dirty all summer. Our car got "moved" without notice. There's been no answer as to what tow company was used to move my vehicle. Our water bill doubled this month with a "promise" that Aubrey will get back to us. She's never gotten back to us as promised.

Amenities are severely lacking in fitness center. Weight room only has water maybe once or twice weekly and is never clean. No towels. Weight Equipment in dis repair and is missing rubber pieces for your hands. TV's have only worked once for about 3 weeks in over a year. Coffee station lacks coffee and seldom has variety

I have had a great experience. Wonderful neighbors, community and staff. Large, open floor plan, very quiet even though close to 435. Close to lots of activities including Shawnee mission park. Shawnee mission school district.

I never had the opportunity to move in due to administrative negligence. Completely disregarded my hold on one of the units and sold it before we had the chance to move in. Had I not called to make sure we were on the same page as far as our move in date my family would be out of a place to live as nobody had the decency to give me a heads up on what was going on with our unit. Completely unprofessional and still waiting on them to credit the money I spend to place a hold on the unit back to my account.

The previous manager Felicia was always very helpful and pleasant to work with. I wish more managers were as knowledgeable and willing to help as she was. The new manager is an entitled brat with a horrible personality and is very rude.

Nice apartments, the staff were always very kind and ready to hear and concerns. Any maintenance requests were solved in less then 24hrs. Great property, close to the high so a little highway noise but not terrible. Across the street from Shawnee Mission Park which is amazing if you have kids and pets which we do. We enjoyed our short stay, would definitely recommend them to friends or family.

This community has nice buildings but for the price you are really paying for location more than anything. The maintenance department is slow but they try. They seem to always be struggling with being behind.

Park Edge is in a great area and really close to all highways! The apartment size is great. There's a lot of space and closet space. It's a very clean community and the staff are awesome and super nice.

The complex is well kept as far as the grounds. I use the pool and fitness center and they are very clean and kept up nice. They offer convenient trash service that is a plus. Neighbors are very nice as well. Convenient to the highway and maintenace is on top of the couple requests I have had.

The pool needs to be cleaned more than it is with the trees being cut back so the pool has more sun areas. Also the asphalt project seems to be taking an extra long time. I've also had mulitple issues with my dishwasher and fridge and they've never fixed it. Just a temp fix and less than a week later my kitchen as water in the floor

They are the most terrible managment, especially Felicia. The apartment complex was so run down for how much they charge. The lack of management and the fact that the property managers never even come see the property

When I first moved in, the community was well kept, but had significantly declined in the last 3 years. Apartment staircases are rusted, and in very poor shape, even dangerous. Following the re-roofing in Feb the parking lots were destroyed and as of July have not been fixed. In the last two years my rent skyrocketed. When I asked what I would get in return, considering I had very old carpet, I was told that these prices were competitive. Competitive ONLY when you are comparing apples to apples. I don't think an outdated apartment with poor maintenance and diminishing amenities is comparable to the new apartment complexes just down the road. Maintenance has been in steep decline as well. I always hesitated putting in work orders, as something was always broken after it was "fixed". For instance, I had 2 windows that wouldn't stay open. I came home after they were fixed only to find that the screens had been ripped in the process, and just left that way after the service request was completed. Most disappointing was upon moving out being charged for carpet that was old when I moved in, with the claim that it had been replaced 2 years ago. I would have remembered having to move all of my furniture to have new carpet installed. It never was replaced, but somehow I am expected to pay anyway. The only thing that was replaced was the carpet pad in the hallway after the apartment above me had a water heater leak that flooded my hallway. The pad was removed, the carpet dried via fans, and tacked backed down after drying. But, apparently this counts as being fully replaced. Not paying for this BS. I am now at a very nice community and paying a lot less for the same amount of space.
