Only good feature its location.
Like i say, the only thing that makes this place ok to live at is the location. right off rt 128, shopping plaza right across the way. restaurants, stores, train all within walking. The train noise doesnt bother me. Its the other people in the building. They have absolutly no respect for others. I am near the laundry room. a woman brings her kids down with her and lets them scream. they stay for the entire cycle. I am ready to throw them in the washer. I hate the noise. You can hear every footstep and toilet flush. This is not a luxury apartment complex. Its a 1970's building with no soundproofing at all. Maintenance is faily responsive and the guy who maintains this building is friendly. I don't think i can stand another year here so i will not renew my lease. The prices are way too high, $1020 for a studio????????? I must have been high when i signed my lease.

Nothing Luxury Here unless you like Trains
I currently live here and yeah .....

a few things to do before signing the lease or PLEASE do not sign anything til the day of actual move in....

1)ignore the model apartments.... asked to have a walk through of a typical layout.
Pay close attention to the bathrooms and floors and windows...take your time walking around watch for caved in or fragile flooring under carpets...in the bathroom look for newly painted ceilings especially where the bath is, no ventilation causes paint to chip...the windows are usually windy

2)ask about train noise -- this is why you may want to use that three business day Resecission Clause, Every thirty mins I can not hear but feel the train.

3)Watch you front door, the maintance crew do not call before entering, while you out they walk in and out of apartments. when I complained only after a week of move in I was told that tenants numbers change and therefore they can not contact people before entering the apartment.... so now I cannot get service at all unless I am home. Nice.

4)Rent v Luxury -- is a two bedroom "condo" one parking space included worth 1355..addt spaces 25 dollars

The apartments are really worth 600 to maybe 1000 dollars for the townhomes. They say the renovate but that is limited to the kitchen and bathrooms and it was kept to a min. It your 1988 through 1995 apt with a higher price tag

Not to say, it is not safe and I sign the lease. But I have paid for it everyday. I often feel stuck I have been looking for apartments since Sept when I moved in.
They will not return your deposit
Overall experience not bad, good location and a bit noisy because of Route128 at the back. But they didn't return our deposit for a technicality and over-charged one month of our rent. I honestly believe they ripped me off, as they use my rent to cover the period of their remodeling and claiming that they couldn't rent out the apt, how convenient!! Of course it couldn't be rented because the contracters are working on the unit for almost a month!!

Sad they would do this...but it was true.

Need to be deaf to live here
I love the location of Beverly Commons, but for the price of rent, there is TOO much noise here.. I live on the first floor and i can hear every foot step above me, i've nick named the lady 'thunder thighs' because she is so heavy on her feet. i hear every door open and close and voices in the hallway and people thumping up and down the hall stairs all hours of the night. \ My biggest issue is that i can hear the water rushing though the pipes as if the pipe was right in front of me.. I know when people flush, shave (it's a high pitched whine from low flowing water), use the dish washer, sink, shower... Its totally annoying the heck out of me.. But i am stuck here till late 06..

Unless i lose my hearing, I won't be renewing my lease..

If you're DEAF, this is a nice place to live.. Nice apartments, excellent location.

If you can hear, i'd look elsewhere

Beautiful and Quiet
Beverly Commons is a breath of fresh air. The buildings are unique in style, apartments are spacious, plenty of closet space, beautiful landscaping, and it's quiet. It's within walking distance to grocery stores, pharmacy, staples, and some unique little shops.
The leasing guy is very easy to talk to, and works with you to help your move go as smoothly as possible. The manager is down to earth and very friendly.
In order to park in the reserved spaces by the buildings you need a sticker, which makes perfect sense, because there is always a place to park close to your door. There is also ample guest parking.
Some apartments have electric included and in the summer is pure bliss!
So happy to have moved here. :)

Pleasant Change
I was pleased to find a new manager here when I went to renew my lease. It seems that they have hired someone with personality!

The new manager was also very helpful with the parking and maintenance problems I needed to address and did so within a day. He really took the time to listen and while he did not take my recommendations he came up with a solutuon that made us happy.

I very much appreciate Beverly Commons hiring someone that does not talk down to residents. Thank you.
