I have really enjoyed living here. The people have all been friendly and helpful (I am handicapped). The complex is well maintained. It just can be difficult at times for someone with a disability but other than that have enjoyed living here.

So far enjoying the community. The noise level of the the apartments are pretty annoying but it's not too bad. I do think the overall community is a nice place to live with a family. ??????????????...

Maintenance staff is EXCELLENT! Office staff changes constantly so you really can't 'know' someone in the office--which is not what is was when I first moved in. Rent goes up EVERY year with no discount/consideration for a long term resident but they seem to have lots of move in specials for new renters.

FYI I am an old loyal client to Corcoran for so many years back several properties, but I am not sure what is happening with the level of service. Most of previous with the new staff isn't a friendly at all.

Overall good experience, be prepared to pay high rent increases if renewing lease yearly. Grounds are well maintained through out the year. Maintenance staff is really responsive. Office staff polite as well.

Fairly good. Expect annual rent increments the longer you stay without additional services. Maintenance response is prompt although the maintenance department will never answer the phone. However same results if u call the office. Eventually work will be done.

I lived at Weymouth Commons for about 7 years. I have no complaints. I rarely needed maintenance, but when I did they were very prompt. The office staff was always a pleasure to work with. I only moved on because I bought a home.

I've been living at Weymouth Commons for two years and have had very few issues while living there. The maintenance staff resolved any issues that I had in a timely and professional manner. The office staff are also very courteous while helping me with any questions that I might have.

I came on here to let people know what sort of individuals they have in their employ. As soon as I did, I saw several problems which are very similar to mine. The reports of sexual harassment I see are not isolated; my fifteen year old daughter was leaving the apartment, and on her way out two maintenance workers pushing a trash barrel stopped and stared at her. One of them said "Ooo!" At her, and the other came back around the corner to see what he was ooing at, and he stared at her as well. And said "I LIKE it!". She came right back inside shivering and angry. I tried to address it and nothing came of it. I have no problem believing the workers here would do things like I've read here such as playing with "sex toys" and sexually harassing the residents. There is no professionalism here, and it's serious and frightening. It's disgusting when my fifteen year old cannot feel safe going in and out of her own home because of the people who work for this company. I have also had several maintenance issues which were either never addressed or half-assed after months of waiting and complaining. I want to move as soon as possible.

This is the worst place I have ever been. The maintenance came into the apartment and instead of fixing the tub, he stole a ring I bought for my bf. He also stole a sex toy from under the bathroom sink and to my astonishment I caught several groundskeepers playing with it, tossing it in the yard out front where the children play! The incident was reported but they did nothing to rectify it. We were lied to about sewage problems, had several maintenance calls to deal with it over three months, until one day both toilets and tub drains exploded, sending raw sewage everywhere, resulting in thousands of dollars worth of personal property damage which they refused to pay for. I overheard workers out in the hall talking about selling prescription drugs and how they would like to come in the apartment, tie me up and rape me. I defended myself during the escape and from their lies *I* was arrested. My bf was served with a notice to quit the next day when he has done NOTHING wrong and paid his rent ON TIME. These people are devoid of integrity. They hire people of wretched character and do NOTHING to prevent maintenance issues or victimization on their tenants by their employees and subcontracted employees. They are dishonest, irresponsible, wicked and crooked in every way. We have never suffered so much grief. In response to "anonymous": You sound pretty judgmental and snooty. I recorded the two men talking about raping me, gave my phone to the property manager, walked away for one minute, and when I got my phone back, it had been erased. I was arrested because I fled from the apartment when I thought they had left and took a knife with me. The men were sneaking waiting at the end of the hall and chased me, grabbing their crotches and saying lewd things, and then made up some sick stupid story about how I just randomly decided to open the door and go Freddy Kruger on them for no reason. And because the property manager deleted the recording, I didn't have evidence to show what they said. The property manager was already having to deal with my bf about the sewage damage and the sex toy incident, and used this as an excuse to just kick him out and not take responsibility. I hope that's good enough for you. GOD, if the worst of my problems were some dope smoking neighbors I'd quit whining. Try having your jewelry and personal items stolen, being sexually harassed, and having your whole home exploded in sewage.

Where do I begin? I moved in the summer of 2012 because I needed an apartment close enough to commute to Boston. The air conditioning is not adequate at all-it is in the wall and basically on the floor, and it barely cools the living room down while it does not reach our bedroom at all. The kitchen is horribly outdated and the bathroom floor is old and disgusting. However, it is not bad at all compared to what any other apartment for $1000/month looks like. The problem is the people. They are loud, obnoxious, rude, and just plain stupid. Like many other complaints, we can hear the neighbors below us as if they are sitting on the couch with us-and they are awake 24/7, which does not go well with the fact that my fiance and I both work full time and I also go to school full time. Parking is another story. The parking basically operates on an honor system with stickers which no one follows. The leasing office constantly sends out there famous "memos" which contain nothing but empty threats. There are signs posted that people without parking stickers will be towed, but no matter how many times I complain nothing ever happens. When I come home at midnight from my job, dead on my feet, and I have to park a mile away from my building even though I pay extra so that my fiance and I can both park near our building I get a little pissed, as you can imagine. And the icing on the cake? On December 23rd, I woke up to find that someone had smashed my BRAND NEW car over night. The rental office offered their condolences but didn't do anything to help me or to rectify the horrible parking system which leaves residents' cars unmonitored and unsecured overnight. Long story short, I had to pay a $500 deductible to get my car fixed. I now park in corner spots backed in all the way and am constantly on the watch and always park where I can see my car at all times. I feel like I should not have to feel this way at my own place of residence. It is difficult for me to get over the rudeness of the other residents of this building when my fiance and I are hard working individuals-only 20 years old-and all I see all day are people in their mid-20's sitting around all day long with their plethora of welfare children running around who have nothing to do in this apartment complex except for run in the street in front of cars, bring shopping carts back to the building and throw sticks in the road. The leasing staff could care less about any of these problems. In fact, just this past month they have begun some half---- renovations. They are complete and total crap; enough said. One night, someone on the first floor burnt their dinner so bad that the fire alarms for the whole building went off and we all had to evacuate while the fire department went into their apartment with fire extinguishers. I hope this is some indication as to how smart the people who live here are. I once entered the laundry room and opened a washer to find that someone had washed clothes saturated with feces and had left a large pile of poop in the washing machine. A few months after we moved in, a child supposedly vomited in the elevator and maintenance, 9 months later, has still not replaced the carpet-which still has remnants of the vomit mashed into it. You just can't make this stuff up. Any interactions I have had with the children who live in this building have been negative. They have been running around the building/grounds in socks or barefoot or they have been extremely rude and gross. I once got into the elevator with three boys who had just arrived home from school. Two of them had what sounded like whooping cough and they all stood around me coughing with their mouths open. I held my breath the entire ride. I hope you get the picture as to the life you will be leading if you move in here.

My sister lived here with her kid from Feb to July 2012. I visited her 4 times and stayed close to 10 days every time. With what i have heard and what I have seen I am writing this review. The main reason I am writing a review here is I am thoroughly looking for apartment in Portland area and realized how much review could help in deciding. So here it goes. Nice looking apartment. From outside looks quite old but looks new from inside. Kitchens have good appliances and furnishings. Closets are spacious. Over all a nice looking and adequately spacious apartments. I likes the community and the people living there. Most of them are very friendly.I have used the gym every time and is quite small and occupied most of the times in the evening. I liked to hang out in their lobby.Friendly staff and responsive maintenance. My sisters refrigerator dint work once and immediately they replaced with a brand new one. The units have quite thin walls I suppose. We have never heard the neighbors but apparently the lady next door was disturbed every time my baby nephew cried and she would knock. I can understand that. However we lived in the last floor so I have no idea if footsteps could be heard from units above. Overall a good family environment. The only difficult part was we had to walk till the end of the street to throw garbage. Most of them throw it on their way to work in the car. Wish they had a garbage chute. There are bus stops near the apartments which would take you to the city.

Although I have only lived here for almost nine months, I have found living at Weymouth Commons to be an enjoyable experience. The staff is always available and are very helpful. Maintenance handles repairs on an expedited manner. I have likr living in this renovated space since it includes updated kitchen cabinets, relatively new carpet and modern bathroom fixtures. Most of the tenants are friendly and say hello in the hallways. I rarely hear the noise of my neighbors. I sometimes notice the smells of someone's cooking. The grounds are well cared for and well lit at night. There is always sufficient parking in front of my building. My only complaint is that some neighbors pile snow in front of your car after a snow storm. I would recommend this apartment complex to prospective renters.

Make sure you read the fine print in the 30 page lease. The staff is not helpful and will try and take advantage of you to get you into the place. But are at least nice in the process. It is illegal in the state of mass to have pet and parking fees yet they try. And the apartments are very outdated but otherwise nice.

Renter Beware
I am going to agree 100% with all the reviews below. My experience with renting at Weymouth Commons has been pretty miserable to say the least. The staff loves to put the rose-tinted glasses on you when you look at the apartment and gives you empty promises that they never keep (i.e. I was told that the particular building I'd be living in would be renovated soon - it's been a year and no sign of anything changing yet). The common areas are disgusting, smell absolutely gross and hallways are extremely warm. Even w/ your A/C unit cranked, don't expect your apt to go down in temperature. The noise level is a whole other issues. I was told I wouldn't hear any of my neighbors and if I did it was because they were being absurdly loud. Well - I can hear my neighbor snoring through the walls and I can hear my downstairs neighbors have a conversation as clear as day (privacy?). I feel like I'm living in a college dorm. Commons does a great job of really fooling people to move here - and I'm stuck for a little while longer. If you want to break your lease, expect to pay twice the rent or $2,000 (whichever is greater). Needless to say, I do not recommend this place to Anyone. Waste of money.

Update From 3/10/12 Post!!!
To add to all the other stuff i posted on 3/10/12 they have a problem with needles all over the place. found by the pool, in the parking lot and even in the stairways!! 1 of the workers cutting down trees went to grab a pile of branches and had a needle stuck in his hand. he got rushed to the hospital. the report should be on file about it because W/C paid for the bill under their workmans comp ins. 1 of the neighbors kids found a few as well and the authorities were called. all this should be on record if you want to check into it. W/C staff CANNOT deny this. Again, Drug Tests should be done as well as criminal backround instead of credit checks. There use to be really good people with families that live here and now they are all leaving as well as us. GL with your stay at W/C!!

A Joke..
This place is a pure joke. My wife has been living there since 2002 and i have been since 2007. Our lease is up this spring and definatly saying goodbye. Lets start by saying definatly not worth the rent Our rent goes up every year but we still have ALL out dated things such as cabinets fridge dishwasher etc. Our ac is a releck. We asked for an updated apt and they say for another 200 a month (we pay almost 1200 now) Pools....Theres 2 pools but the neglect to say they are building assigned so if you live in the back you have to use the back pool wich is surrounded by trees so no sun. Tennis Courts... Only 1 is useable and i think the only reason is that you can see it from the highway. Basketball COURTS... Cant even use them, No Net, Hoops are crooked and rusted and the full court one has half the court dug up so no cement. Oh Yes The Play Ground.. What play ground they took it out 3 years ago due to unsafe lol. Onsite Laundry..lol Takes all day to do because other people get there first and now they raised the cost. Fitness Center... Its a mere closet, such a joke. Microwave..??? where? they took my wifes out 4 years ago and never brought 1 back. Grilling Areas... Do they mean those 1 half --- grille at each pool? The really only thing this has to offer is being so close to things other than that save your money and invest in your own home. I think ive said enough, i will not get into all the other bull that is here. my only suggestion to then is with that credit check they do they should also do a criminal and drug test. They now manage what use to be Avalon so they think they can get Avalon prices. I lived in Avalon before here and they will NEVER be as good and up to date as Avalon. Just saw the option for pictures down below :) i will be adding pictures soon.

Living on the upper level I hear noice from below residence ALL night long. Apartment is not luxurious at all...........stove handle fell off three times and it beeps from time to time at night. I requested a new one an they refuse. Grounds and parking are good, security is non-exsistent. My floor and neighbors on my half of the building are very nice.

Pot heads apply here!
I dont even know where to begin. My fiance and I moved here in the beginning of November of 2011. Our lease isnt up til Febuary 2012. When we toured during the summer, we were told: - Theres 8 inches of cement and steel in between the floors. So if you hear your neighbors, theres a "serious problem". - Birds are ok. Pets are usually considered cats and dogs. - ONE a/c unit (which is 11,600 BTU) will cool an apartment no problem. Lies, lies and more lies. The first neighbors we had living below us were an issue when we first moved in. Loud and obnoxious to where we had to call the leasing office on them multiple times, and even called the cops. One night whoever was staying there almost got arrested cause he was talking back to the cop. Their lease was up at the end of March due to non-renewal cause of all the complaints and late rent payments. They finally left April 2nd. Well the new tenants moved in April 7th/8th. No lie, they became a problem since DAY ONE. Heres a brief rundown. The second night they were there, they were loud when I left for work at 230am. They just happened to be leaving the same time I was (two males live there that are in their early 20s). So I politely told them that I could hear everything they were saying. They apologized left and right. And they even told me they'd hardly be home due to work schedules and whatnot. That didnt last long at all. Its now mid June, and we hear them EVERYNIGHT and ALL NIGHT. I dont think they work cause theyre ALWAYS home. They've had (so we've been told) letters sent to them. One of the male leasing agents even caught them smoking pot within the 2nd day of them being there. When they smoke, the smell fills our apartment. We dont smoke period. So when our apartment smells because of someone else, it drives us crazy. They'd be out on their balcony rapping (which theyre horrible at) at like 2am. Ive recorded videos of how loud they get and have shown it to the managers in the office. Apparently they're not doing anything cause our neighbors still go at it. I live in in the building right next to the leasing office. Im on one of the upper floors. If you stand on our balcony, you can see the the leasing office and the condos through the woods. The sun hits out apartment all morning to mid afternoon. Some pros about the apartment/complex: - Heat/hot water is included - Grounds look nice - Pool by the leasing office is deep (9ft) - Good size rooms and living room (were in a 2 bed 2 bath) - Apartment stays warm during the winter (ours does cause we get alot of sunlight) - Snow removal is really good and they keep up with it - Very close to food shopping and Rt3 - Plenty of power outlets - Tile in the bathrooms - Staff is always cleaning the common areas - Lots of closets Cons about the apartment/complex: - The in wall a/c supplied is no where near sufficient enough to cool a two bedroom, nevermind a one bedroom - Depending on your location, the unit will get HOT during the summer. Just recently, our apartment was at 82 degrees at 3am - Even if you have your a/c running the coldest at 60, it doesnt make a difference, except doubling your electric bill - Noise is an issue. Inside and outside. People are loud and obnoxious outside, even by the leasing office - You can hear the neighbors below you like theyre in you apartment - If the person below you cant cook, your apartment will smell like it. For hours. - Maintenance is a hit or miss. I had an issue with one guy and asked his name, and he told me he didnt know it - Maintenance really isnt 24 hours. They leave at 5. Then after then, you have to call the emergency line, then they call the on-call guy. Who knows where they'll be. When we needed him, he was in Boston. - The pool is free for residents, but its $5 per guest, each day. - If someone is under the age of 16, they need to take a swim test. - Alot of residents dont appear they know how to drive correctly, or park - Depending where you live, parking is a huge issue - There are no sprinklers in the apartments, so you better hope there is no fire - Management will only tell you things to keep you quiet, but dont actually correct the problem - Laundry is a hit or miss. Even though its ran by MacGray, and not by the complex. People leave their clothes in the washers or dryers for hours - If you want to break your lease, you have to pay $2000 or two months rent, whichever is the greater of the two. No matter what. Unless you move to a different Corcoran community - Rent is expensive. Waay too much for what you get - In the updated model, there is legit only ONE kitchen drawer, and its not even full size - Not a whole lot of kitchen cabinet space - Once in awhile, you'll encounter no hot water when you go to take a shower - Balcony railings are very low. Ours is 2'10" to be exact - Leasing agents will lie to you to please you - If you have a small car or rear wheel drive car, good luck getting up the hill thats located right before the entrance to the complex (the first hill you hit turning onto Rockaway Ave) - Turning left out of the complex onto Middle Street can be a hassle and a half - Stairwell is noisy - Elevator is SMALL. Four people max can fit in there - Hallways are not climate controlled So even they call these "Luxury Apartments", theres nothing luxury about it for the price and what you get in return. My advice, STAY AWAY. You can find something way better out there.

Worst staffs. Worst service
I asked for an apartment and informed them that I have to move in on a date. They said it should be fine. But they have not called me after that. I called them every day to check the status until a day prior to my planned move date. But on the final day they said I can not move in on the day they confirmed prior. I have to wait until they confirm a new date. If you still want to move in please make sure atleast a month prior to the move in date you are all set with everything.
