Do not move here.
This is one of the worst places I have ever lived at, and it is definitely not worth the money! The cars are not safe in the parking lot, and the staff and maintenance are thoroughly incompetent, rude, and slow, especially the property manager Jamie. Noise is a serious problem! The office will do everything they can to screw you and acts like you owe them the world! The good reviews here are probably written by them.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
DO not live here. I have lived here for only 3 months and have yet to get a good nights sleep. The walls are paper thin, you can here every noise that your neighbor makes. The nieghbors are rude and have no consideration for the people around them. The maintenace staff is also rude. They get paid to do a job and should not complain when you need something fixed. Overall if you are a working professional this is not the place for you. It's not worth what you are paying to live. I can't wait for the lease to be up so I can get out.

No Problems
My Wife and her daughter lived here before I did on 79 Donald and Now I we live in another building. I like the place and the people that work in the office are always very pleasant to us. The maitenance has alaways been very efficient whenenever we call for repairs weneed a dishwasher and the next morning they replace ours with a brand new one. I understand that sometimes it may take a few days but they are always on top of it. As far as noise some new residents do not respect other tenants after 10:00 PM. They should not talk so loud when others are sleeping.

Lovely Place to Be
I am not going to lie - the place isn't perfect. But then if you are looking for perfection, you should be a home owner. First I have to say that when I toured here the leasing girl was very kind and outgoing. She was honest, and told me what I was getting and how it would be similar to the model apartment - she explained any slight differences accurately (I rented without seeing the apartment as it was occupied). When I moved in I was given a sheet to fill out when I moved incase I found things to be wrong in my apartment that the office staff may have missed. There were a lot of minor things - a chip in the air conditioning unit, a scratch on the bathroom sink, a slight dent in the closet door in my bedroom - all of which they fixed if they could. I was informed that anything thwey couldnt fix was on record so I would not be held responsible for it. After a week of being in my apartment (which I am in love with!) there was an issue with my neighbor upstairs. It seemed that almost all day every day and late into the night, they played very loud music which vibrated though the ceiling. It wasn't too bad, as it is a concrete ceiling (and walls) but the vibrations did get annoying. I called the office several times and even called Weymouth Police about it. At first I was upset but when the girl with the long hair in the office explained how they dealt with any of these issues, I felt better. She explained that all they could do was continue to send noise letters which would get harsher each time, and that they get police reports once a month because they do not tolerate criminal behavior or excessive noise complaints. The noise was greatly reduced, but after gathering the "evidence" and "building a case" against the people above me, they were removed from the apartment. I dont know if they were eviceted or what - but it was nice to see that the staff did what they could. Finally there is parking and snow issues - parking is pretty good but if you work late nights you need to search a little more. I decided not to be lazy and just part in back of my buidling rather than fight for a spot out front, and that change of mind mae life easier. Some winters can be rough - you dig your car out and then someone takes your spot - its unassigned parking. But the plowers do clean out all the parking areas so even if you shoveled yourself out, you can still park elsewhere. Even when I got frustrated, I remembered that the staff cant control the weather, that there are like 500 apartments here or something, and that the plow company is separate from the office... They probably have other contracts and stuff. Anyway yes there are some minor things that arent perfect with Weymouth Commons, although I was shocked to see some of the things said on this site. Yes sometimes a certain office member can come off as or even be rude, but that is no reason to say that the other girls there are mean! Basically if you are reading this right now disregard everything everyone says - even me. Becuase until you go here and meet someone, you do not know what it is like. Plain and simple people who are ultra picky should buy a house or move to a much smaller community where a staff of three can more easily and more quickly maintain all your needs and wants.

Staff is ignorant and rude
I would advise against this place. I think everyone knows that the economy and the housing market has gone done over the past year. Weymouth Commons apparently noticed this as well... they currently advertise the two bedroom / two bathroom apartment that I now live in for $1350. My roommates and I currently pay $1410. Our lease is up and we received our notice that we can either renew are our current rate of $1410 or give our notice that we will be leaving. We approached the rental office asking if it was possible for us to sign a new lease at their current advertised rate of $1350. The woman in the rental office was very condescending and rude and said "you signed up for $1410 so that's not our problem". We have been ideal tenants (always paying rent on time and never having any problems with neighbors). We are being penalized for being good tenants. On top of the rude staff, there are a few other problems that I have here. Our sliding door doesn't lock. The windows are single pane... so when the heat is on in the winter, condensation builds up on the glass and then freezes resulting in huge chunks of ice frozen on the windows. Plowing is terrible. The main road into the complex is a hill and when there is snow cars frequently get stuck resulting in people leaving their cars stranded on the side of the road until they actually get around to plowing and sanding. Finally, they have not updated the name on my mailbox despite 3 requests. I am constantly having companies calling to verify my address because mail is sent back to them. It's incredibly frustrating.

Don't live here
I had lived in Weymouth Commons for 3 years. The first 2 were fine, then came the new neighbors. Even after a few complaints, they would have their tv so loud during all hours of the night and every weekend you can hear them and their extracurricular activities. The quality of people that are living in these apartments has dropped dramatically since I first moved in. The walls are paper thin and you know everything that is going on. Good luck if you decide to live here.

Dont do it
This place is a nightmare! I have lived there for over 2 years and would not recommend it to anyone! Noise, noise, noise! All you hear are the poeple above and below you all the time. The walls are paper thin! Have had to call the police multiple times for noise complaints after midnight. Been to the rental office and spoke with 3 different people to fix the lights outside because it is very dark at nihgt and early morning, 8 months have gone by and nothing has happened. Would move out in a heartbeat if they didnt have a $2000 penalty for terminating lease early. These are not opinions, they are straight facts, so if you are planning on moving there, I hope you havent signed your lease yet cause it sucks!

Not a Very Friendly Place
I have lived here for slightly over three years, and each and every day appears to be getting worse and worse here. First of all, in my first apartment I got stuck next to the elevator--which is a little outdated and makes a ton of noise. After 14 months of listening to the elevator go up and down two or even three hundred times a day, I had enough and took another apartment they offered due to myself threatening legal action. In my second and final apartment I have no elevator to deal with and it is even bigger. But, this place has absolutely ZERO sound protection between apartments. You can make out what other people are talking about or listen to your disgustingly obnoxious downstairs neighbor yap on the phone eight hours a day. I have written 4 noise complaints on two out of my three neighbors and finally had enough. The funny thing here is that everyone else I have talked has had the same or--as in most cases--far worse experiences. The killer for this complex is the high rent they charge. I pay over a thousand dollars a month in a place where a solid 6 or 8 hours of solid sleep is a rare luxury. However, if you really enjoy sleeping with earplugs this is the perfect place for you because you will need them--even if you find yourself lucky enough to have quiet, decent neighbors. The rent is far too high as Weymouth is a very drab, depressing, lower to lower-middle class town devoid of anything decent to do or places to eat. I mean it is a few miles from the ocean and it is hard to find fresh seafood anywhere. If Weymouth wasn't such a run-down dump then the rent would still make no sense. My overall assessment here is that this place is a terrible value and a really poor choice to make when relocating. My advice: 1) Avoid the South Shore entirely and especially Weymouth, Brockton, and Braintree. 2) Weymouth Commons is a rip-off 3)Choose a place with new construction/low noise between apartments 4)Definitely avoid moving here

I would avoid this place if I were you
Weymouth Commons is definitely not the greatest place to live. The management is very nice and means well, but the place stinks in general. It's biggest problem is that it is in Weymouth--rude sleazy people, high crime, dangerous drivers, as well as offering not so much as a halfway decent restaurant. I have lived here for quite a while and am feverishly looking to break my lease A.S.A.P!!!! For one thing some decent people do live here, but about half are really shady. My car has been broken into twice and my apartment almost once. The apartment itself is about average although there is absolutely ZERO sound protection between apartments. You can actually have a conversation at a reasonable level with a neighbor in another apartment. My neighbors have ignored several noise complaints and go on blasting televisions and music well into the night. Overall if you must move to this part of the state my first piece of advice is DON'T. If you do, however, don't move here it is a miserable experience that you will be forced to live for the duration of your lease.

My Worst Nightmare!!!
I would never recommend this place to even my worst enemy, so if you are thinking about moving here DON'T!!!! When my family and I moved in, we thought it was going to be great. Shortly after, the problems began with the tenants above us. They had two kids and their parents living in a two bedroom apartment! (Limit is 4 for a two bed room) They let their kids run around screaming at all hours of the night. It used to wake my daughter up at night while she was sleeping and it would keep us up. When we would go upstairs to ask them to please quiet down a little, they would turn on the water in the sink or the garbage disposal and pretend like they didn't hear anything. When I got back downstairs, they would be even louder because I came up there. I complained to the leasing office about 5 times before getting a lawyer. The leasing office would do nothing about it. The last straw was when they were throwing trash down to our balcony, along with raw meat which landed on my shoes!!!!! Then they tried to evict us for not paying rent, which they knew was being held in an escrow account by my lawyer. Then when we finally gave up on them doing something, because obviously they refused, they "insulated" the ceiling. It barely dulled it down, but to break our lease would have been way too expensive. They said they would move us, but wanted more money for rent. After the rent was given to them from the escrow account, they still wanted to evict us because we got a lawyer (It's our Right!!!!!). The apartment is infested with bugs. The windows do not hold in heat during the winter. I can't get the apartment above 60 without putting down comforters along the door and windows which the refuse to replace. My apartment has been broken into and destroyed on three separate occasions, and there have been quite the amount of robberies. The most recent being a pizza delivery driver. Well I'm not sure if that kind of a robbery involved 6 state police cars outside my window, so I still wonder what the whole story actually is. As for the rent they have a habit of "losing" the check. I had to resort to copying the checks front and back and making them sign a form I printed out on my computer to acknowledge that they had received it. Suddenly they weren't lost anymore and the eviction notices stopped coming. There is never parking. Everybody has their guests park in resident spots. The pool was tick infested. i refused to use it. The playground was all broken and mosquito infested. I refused to bring my daughter there. The people at the leasing office are miserable and nasty!!! Maintenance.....forget it. You have to call them 6 times a day for a week straight to fix a problem they've come to fix 12 times. We are now moving out of state and breaking our lease despite the 2400 dollars. I do not feel safe living here because of the robberies of my apartment and so forth. I'm afraid they will try it when I'm home and that will be it. They clearly know that both mine and my husband's cars are gone. This was my worst nightmare!

All the good staff left - dont move here!
This place is beautiful - on the outside! Landscaping is excellent, lighting is great... But parking is MISERABLE especially in the winter with the snow. Staff comes and goes... So you never have someone consistent to work with. The only people who gave a hoot about anything and who were consistent were Michelle and I think Stephanie, the young blonde girl in the office. What do you know? They left too! Apartments are quiet. You hear minimal noise. Energy efficiency is great. Pools are small and crowded. Basketball hoops might as well be torn down, just like they tore down the old ragged splintery playground. Apartment layouts are okay, nothing special. Pretty square. If your looking for service at its best, DO NOT be fooled! They are nice when you tour, get your money, get you commission, and then its all business from there.. Dont pay, then get out. Have a complaint, they dont want to hear it. Until staff is consistent and things change DONT move here! I lived at this property long enough to see the good the bad and the ugly, and a whole host of office staff. Clearly the company doesnt pay the employees well enough to give a ---- and they certainly dont care about the residents. its all about the $$$$!!

Please don't waste your money
this place sucks i can not begin to tell you how close i was to throwing up all over my checkbook every time i had to write a check for $995 the first of the month. judging bythe people i saw walking around that place, there is simply no way anyone else was paying even half of what i was paying. $12,000 down the drain for one year of constantly being pissed off that I couldn't do certain things that I wanted to do because I had to pay rent. I understand that rent is part of life and I would be more than happy to pay rent if I was happy to call the place my home. I was not happy that I lived there and that is why I couldn't stand cutting the checks every month.

Not the best!
I have lived here for 6 years! When I first moved here,it was the perfect place. People were really nice and we knew the staff by name. You only needed one call to the maintance and they would be there. They had bingo night and art class.

But now its totally different. All the nice people have moved out and a lot of noisy and loud people have moved in. The staff is a nightmare!!! When you walk into the rental office, and your not a new customer then they won't be nice to you and give you an attitude. Maintenance is really bad too because you have to call 3 or 4 times for them to come. One time it took them 8 days to come and fix the balcony lock! And now they dont have bingo night or art class. I am sick of living here and am finally moving because we bought a house. I would definitly never move back! I do not recommend WEYMOUTH COMMONS! But you be the judge.

This place haunts my dreams...
I lived there for 2 years in a town house. Year 1 was ok then the neighbors from hell moved in at 11pm at night they backed up the Uhaul and as loudly as possible moved in. They'd illegally park and block cars in. We'd have to bang on the door every morning to wake them up and move the car. They're was no supervision and the kids were free to do what ever they wanted. I dont really think the facilities were all that bad but you can get really skrewed with the section 8 people running a muck and no security from Weymouth commons to back you up.

no major complaints
lived here for four years.

Pros - No complaints about maintenance but i didn't really call maintenance that much (which is a good thing i guess). Parking is no problem. Mgmt. was always helpful. Didnt raise my rent much over the 4 years.

Cons - Apartments are old (AC was probably built in the 70's). The halls are kind of dark and dreary. There seems to be more sketchy people living here (although i never had a problem with anyone)

Not like it used to be
I moved in to my apartment in 20003 and thought it was a great apartment but when I got married and moved to another unit, that's when all the problems began. We weren't allowed to view the apartment until 2 days before our move. The office staff has become rude and inefficient. I never had problems with bugs or with the maintenance staff but the people who began to move in were loud and out of control, oftentimes yelling and fighting in the parking lot. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live like I did.

Term Fee is Robbery
I am a current resident who just gave my notice, due to noisy neighbors and the policy is 60 days notice and the fee is 2 months rent! Moving is costly enough without having to pay $2400 for nothing. I understand giving notices (should be 30 days) and term fees (should be 1 month's rent). Anything above that is ridiculous!
