        Governor's Green gives you the feel of living in a quiet family oriented community with quick access to major cities like Baltimore and Washington DC via Route 50. The apartments are old but well maintained and there is definitely lots of sun (when it's shining) and a LOT of green with plush trees and lush grass - so if you're like me and love relishing in the beauty of nature you're gonna love it here! The community is well-maintained and valet trash is a plus for those of us that don't like walking to the dumpsters. There isn't an elevator so choose a top floor apartment to get your stair-master on or take a run on the treadmill at the community's gym to keep your heart healthy! Admittingly, I did not take advantage of the community pool this past summer but that's because I was able to get the sun-time I needed on my semi-private balcony. Prior to moving here, I'd always choose the new "luxury" apartments and become extremely dissatisfied with the quality of materials over time and the "-------ness" I'd have to deal with in the common areas of the community. Not so here at Governor's Green - overall an excellent value for the money. I chose a renovated apartment because that's the aesthetic I prefer, but if you'd like to save a little more coin, the unrenovated units would be your choice. After all, your home is what YOU make it - it's your canvas, write out your vision as you see fit!

          Very Pleased! Couldn't have chosen a better place to be! between the maintenance always taking care of issues when we need them being so accommodating when it comes to issues, I have no complaints. Very nice, the gym is always clean and accessible and their neighborhood is very well-maintained.

            I have been unhappy with this community since Ross Management took over ownership of this property. Maintenance requests take way too long and I don't feel like complaining to management helps. With other property owners I felt like they appreciated the tenants, but with Ross I feel like they don't care about our experience here.

              Today is my first day moving in, but so far I really like the property and my apartment which is a 2 bed/bath. I previously lived across from the Town Center and I can honestly say that I was treated with more genuine kindness and honesty over here than I ever have. Ms.Ridley is a awesome leasing professional! I was super stressed dealing with people who were unprofessional and unclear previously & she made the whole process easy. She thoroughly explained everything and told me what I needed to provide upfront. Im very grateful for her assistance and for finding me a better place for my family and I to live. Some of the great amenities are the car washing area, dog park, pool & grilling area. The location is also very convenient. Its located right next to the beltway and 301 highway, retail shops, food places such as Target & Walmart, & Home Depot. I definitely recommend Governers Green Apartments to anyone who is currently looking for a place in Bowie!

              Best community I've lived in by far. Second time leasing here and i can't get enough, i don't know if it's the people who come get the trash, or maintenance that comes no later than a day after a request is put in! The office stay is amazing Ms.Qwantina is my favorite by far!

                    Maintenance people need to be trained on how NOT to leave a mess behind when working in residents apartments. Also they need to notify residents when they are coming into their homes when they are not there.

                      So far not so great of an experience, AC and hot water doesn't work, not does the washer, apartments are very outdated, leasing staff of unprofessional, had us waiting for 3 hours so they could finish fixing the AC and sweep our deck before move in, 4 days later still does not work and deck was still dirty

                        Just moved in. A lot of things need to be done in the unit. The bathroom and the dishwasher is the biggest issue. The old dirty grout in the bathtub needs to be removed and replaced with a new one. It appears that the person who worked on it just put a new grout on top of the old dirty and discussting grout. Also, the maintenance person asked me to clean it as a new tenant. Old dirty grouts cannot be clean with any chemical. It has to be removed and replaced. The dishwasher is smelly. It has stagnant water and dirty mold inside. It cannot be cleaned and removed by myself since it has screws. It needs to be cleaned by the maintenance. I have run a dishwasher 5x with a dishwasher cleaner and it did not work. The apartment looks nice, with a new laminate hardwood floor and a new carpet. However, the nails are sticking up. I tried to fix it by myself, and it is still up. It had ripped my socks. It is a liability of the apartment to fix this. It is very dangerous and can harm the tenants. Hot water shows maximum. However, it will only run for 2-5 minutes. The water becomes lukewarm and cold. The unit needs to be replaced or fixed. Regardless of the settings, if the unit is broken, it will not adjust the temperature. The washer makes a lot of noise. It sounds like a helicopter, particularly during the spinning time. It leaks water. I called for an emergency check-up, and no one arrived. The dryer is not drying. I have run it 3x per load. This is the apartment's responsibility. If the dryer is not functioning correctly, it will cause a fire. Some outlets are not working. When I signed up for the apartment move-in for 8/3/2022, it was moved by two days since it was not done, and they handed me the new contract for 8/5/2022. I believe the people who cleaned and fixed the apartment did not do well. A lot of things need to be done.

                            If you can afford to buy or rent a home, go that route. Property management has changed multiples times since I moved here. Overall, I am pleased with the front office staff. Not so much with maintenance.

                              It's been all over the place with different management's when I first moved I had a lot of issues with maintenance and neighbors and management not doing their job.. I was paying rent for a two bd and fireplace and for a whole year in a half my fireplace didn't work but I still got charged that same rent which I feel was wrong and I shouldn't been charged but nothing was done.. it just started working this year in March when it started to get warm smh..

                                          Overall we've had a excellent experience here. It's very quiet and the neighbors all seem to get along well. Qwantina in the leasing office is probably the most helpful and attentive leasing agentbI sponke with in years. Her amazing customer service skills are one of the reasons we decided to apply.

                                            Good place to live. HVAC system is outdated and does not function properly. I think the maintenance staff needs to be reassessed. I am not looking forward to the summer months. Just because I live in the 4th floor, I shouldn't have to live in uncomfortable conditions

                                              Not a bad place to live at all. It has been nice and pretty quiet, exceptthe fireworksafter the baseball games. The new maintenance team since it was sold isn't as prompt and thorough as the former crew though.
