The response time for service requested is awesome. The staff in the office are always pleasant and helpful. However, the walls are very thin and I can hear my neighbors..clearly at times. The grounds are well kept. The garbage area is clean.......................................................................................

Since my tenure here at the Evergreens, I have had the most unforgettable times here with the staff & maintenance crew. I have only received impeccable service on all service requests I have made here. The grounds are kept in immaculate condition, and the gym I have enjoyed the utmost.

I have been a resident of the Evergreens for a little under a month and couldn't be happier with my decision. When taking my initial tour of the community the first thing that stood out to me was how well the grounds were kept. Beautiful flowers, clean buildings & sidewalks along with fresh cut grass. The leasing agent was nice and answered the few questions I had about the apartments. I trusted my gut and decided to apply the same day of my tour. I was contacted a few days later and notified of my approval. I went for my final walk through a week prior to my move in, fast forward to today and here I am writing this review in my new apartment. Quick and stress free process. When I moved in the apartment was stocked with a few "welcome home" goodies which was a nice touch. The carpet looks to be brand new,, freshly painted walls, the appliances all work with no issues, all of my outlets are functional and the water is hot when needed and most importantly the community is safe and I haven't encountered any rodents or bugs!! For greater sense of security the apartment buildings have controlled entry so no undesirables can just happen upon your apartment, not that I have seen such people lurking about. The community is surprisingly quiet considering kids are now out of school for the summer. You would expect to hear some kind of noise in an apartment community whether its kids playing, noisy neighbors or music blaring from cars but that hasn't been the case since I have been here. My upstairs neighbor seems to have lead feet at times but that's few and far between. As for the neighbors, the ones I have encountered have spoke and seemed nice enough but there hasn't been much interaction otherwise. Everyone is quiet and keeps to themselves as far as I can see. The community seems to be a diverse one with people from all races coming and going throughout the day. Parking for one vehicle is free and you are provided with a couple of parking passes for short term visitors, there is reserved parking for a fee but the free spot has been sufficient, I haven't had an issue with parking thus far. There is also a fitness center attached to the leasing office which also houses the community building. Fitness center is free to all residents. There is a Walmart, Shoppers Food, Food Lion and various other shopping destinations less than 10 minutes away (driving) from the complex. If you don't have a vehicle you probably want to look elsewhere. All in all the Evergreens has been a great place to live. My only knock would be there being no balcony's but that's far from a deal breaker. I'm sure that helps keep down on the noise.

Been here a year now after being recommended by a former resident. So far, so good. No maintenance issues, the community is safe and neighbors are very friendly and quiet. I am loving how we can have our trash picked up at our doorways Mon-Thurs and how clean the grounds are. In addition, the leasing office staff is very kind and welcoming. They also plan great events like holiday parties, Superbowl parties, etc. We have a small gym here and after a year of living here haven't seen any mice or roaches and I feel safe! The rent is high like most apartments in the area however, I still plan to stay as long as possible! I also love how we have washers and dryers right inside of our apartments.

We chose the Evergreens at Laurel because it was the nicest apartment complex in the Laurel area in our price range. The lobby and shared areas are very well kept and the gym is always clean. The front desk staff is always happy to see us, (they know us by name even though we rarely see them!) and they have office hours on Saturdays, which is convenient if we get home late from work during the week and need to pick up packages. Our apartment came stocked with some essentials, which was so helpful when we were just moving in. We live in a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment, and both rooms are very spacious. The kitchen is very nice and the appliances work very well. I have always been able to find a place to park, even when we get home late at night.

The Evergreens at Laurel are crooks as they tow residents consistently as they are greedy towing 24 hours a day. My father stopped bye to drop off a bag for me for 3 minutes and got towed in the middle of the day. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Everyone complains about the parking situation and nothing has been done about it...All of my resident friends here are moving out as it has become a huge inconvenience.

Beautiful community! I have recently moved in and I love it. The complex is clean and the entrance into the apartment building always smells like lemon. I especially love the wall accent. The office staff has been nothing but nice an helpful. The amenities that come with the complex are nice. I have no complaints about the rent because I am happy with my unit.

I looked at several apartment complexes in a similar price range in the Laurel area. This complex, although a tad bit pricier is far nicer than anything else I saw around the $1000 range. They are newly renovated and I had great service when being shown the apartment and when applying for it. The staff was not at all pushy and were quiet patient while my partner and I decided whether this was the place for us. Upon moving in, to our surprise, the apartment was stocked with basics like toilet paper, hand soap, some plastic dishes, hand towels, etc. all new for us to use. This helped us feel pretty welcomed. All the neighbors I have met have been very friendly and I've never felt unsafe walking from my car to my apartment on the second floor. All appliances work well without issues, the bathroom is very roomy and there are plenty of closets. The kitchen also has a lot of cabinet space for a 1 bedroom! Overall I really have had no complaints about the apartment itself. The only downsides that my partner and I have experienced is that 1.) The floors are squeaky. We have never heard voices/music/etc. from neighboring apartments however we can most definitely hear the squeaky floor above us and our own squeaky floor which we try to be conscious of since people live below us. This really is only bothersome if you are trying to sleep. The people above us get up for the day around 4am and the squeaky floor wakes me up almost every morning. Its a minor annoyance considering the structure of the building is pretty old. 2.) There is ample parking and I have never not been able to find a parking space. However, there are extremely limited numbers of visitor marked spots that you can use your visitor parking passes for. They are taken 98% of the time because I feel like residents are using their visitor passes for extra cars which are actually theirs or someone who lives with them. When we have had visitors they always park in a regular space with the visitor pass in the window and so far this hasn't been a problem. It makes me nervous though that they could potentially be towed. 3.) Sadly there is NO bike storage. There is no where at all to lock up or store a bicycle. No bike racks or anything. This was really disappointing to me. Currently I have to keep my bike in my apartment which I don't like doing when it is carpeted. Overall I would say if you're considering living here, go for it! Its a really nice apartment for the price.

I'm undecided. There are staff who are professional, but I get mixed signals from others. I like the location but you can hear through the walls. Although I lucked out and moved next to a psychopath, if you get an apartment next to a considerate adult, this may be a decent place to live for the short-term.

Overall the apartment complex is good. The apartments are newly renovated and the appliances are all new. The staff is friendly. The location is primly located next to the BWI Parkway. The complex is quite and seems very safe. There have been maintenance issues in the apartment, but they are very quick to fix them. Even though I do not see much of my neighbors, the complex tries to offer activities for people to get together (many do not come). One downfall is the common space is not open after office hours, so it has limited use. Another good thing the complex does is valet trash, which trash can be put outside of the door for easy removal. In addition, I was disappointed that promises made were not given when signing the lease. A closet organizer was promised, but after inquiring it was mentioned that the closet space was too small in put in after the fact, so they could only add another self. The parking lot is very bad from the construction and we are still awaiting fixes because the parking spaces are not marked, therefore people park badly. Although, I inquired and they said once the weather gets better in the spring they will fix it (only after a year). The two bedroom apartments have very limited storage space. There is not a linen closet and the master bedroom is small. I do not know if because of the major apartment renovations, the floors in the apartments became uneven and have a lot of divots you can feel walking around.

Can you say,Great Staff, Great Location, Great Apartments! Well, I can. From day one, I have enjoyed my home at Evergreen at Laurel. Evergreen is a great place to be and I enjoy coming home. The staff makes living here that much better. They truely live the motto and put their heart into serving the residents. I feel welcomed everytime I walk into the leasing office to use the computer cafe. It's like Cheers on TV, "Hey, Norm", except it "Hey, Andrew" and that a good feeling. I get nothing less than professionalism and that come with a smile. The State of the Art fitness center has excellent equipment and I don't need to spend money on a fitness membership. I truely enjoy the activities they host for the residents and look forward to the next.

Shout out to the management for hosting a phenomenal Residents Appreciation Week. It's those touches that make this community a wonderful place to live. And don't think the fact that you guys worked all day and then attended the festivities that evening escaped my notice. No down-time at all. I really appreciate the way you go the extra mile for the residents. You guys are the best!

I was the first tenant to move into by building back in May 2012. This is a great place and I am glad I decided to live here. Everything in the apartment is new and maintenance responds to requests in a timely fashion. The apartment complex is situated in an ideal location with quick acess to the BW Parkway in which I can get to Washington DC or Baltimore in approx. 20 minutes.

I moved from an apartment complex in Glen Burnie. I chose the complex for cheaper rent but I was paying for bad management, raccoons in the trash, cats roaming the parking lot, and a badly lit parking lot. My apartment smelled in the hotter months and I noticed the smell when I first moved in and reported it. NOTHING was done! I digress because I could go on and on about that place. I love the Evergreens at Laurel! I moved to my condo, labeled apartment here and have no regrets! Here are my likes: I feel safe with the code accessed buildings and the parking lot is well lit. I have lived at this complex for 7 months. The Evergreens at Laurel is pricey, let s just be honest. BUT, I feel I am paying for quality, peace of mind, and security. I was the first to live in my apartment with new appliances! What apartment complex has valet trash pick-up, shovels snow/salts the walkways before you leave for work at 7 in the morning, and has caring management and staff? I only called maintenance to spray my apartment for bugs as I am on the first floor and to fix the leaking sounds I heard from the apartment s bathroom above me. They took care of it quickly and conveniently. I honestly, like it here. I only plan to move if the rent goes up or if I get married soon. The location is convenient as I go to DC and Baltimore often. Laurel is right in the middle. I use the fitness center and love the hours for convenience. The Evergreens at Laurel offers a full size washer and dryer and many other communities do not have these amenities in their units! I live in a one bedroom and it is big enough for me! My room is big. I got an accent wall painted for free in my living room. I don t really hear my neighbors much and when I do see my neighbors as we pass by, we greet each other. Management and staff really care about you and address your concerns in a timely manner; they re professional. They have residential gatherings, events, and volunteering activities. It just feels like home here. Many of my visitors have stated they liked my apartment and this is much different from the apartment buildings that were here before the renovation. I am comfortable and happy with my decision. Areas of Opportunities because nothing is perfect : The closets are not that big, but I had shelves put into one of my closets of my choice in my apartment for free by the complex. Lights in the closets would be nice too. I would want to see the parking lot revamped. For luxury living the complex offers, a numbered spot for each apartment would be nice and the visitor spots be marked would be a value add. The pavement should be redone to reflect the changes made with the multi-million dollar renovations. I am thinking this will be done once tenants fill all of the buildings. In the future, maybe more equipment in the fitness center, fitness classes, and a competition Biggest Loser resident challenge would be fun. **If you need any smell goods for your home, office, gym bag, lotion, body wash, etc. please feel free to respond to this post. I am a Scentsy consultant and can provide some assistance for your scent needs!

I moved in during October last year 2012. I was impressed when I walked into the Evergreens Leasing Office. They all are very professional and maintenance is great. At that time, I was looking and I was standing in the Evergreens Leasing office. I was looking around and after my tour I told Jessica that I was headed to the Westgate of Laurel. The Evergreens Leasing was sure I would turn back around and come back. I actually did that for sure. The Westgate was terrible. I was not impressed during the apartment tour.Folks were working on people's cars like it was a garage. The Westgate apartment was not rennovated and the baseboards and bathroom were not impressive. It smelled mildew in the apartment they showed me. But everything went smooth when I came back to the Evergreens for paper work processing. But it is based on credit approval. Allen & Rocks is a good leasing company. It may be pricey from what folks say but you get what you pay for and thats quality. Sometimes they run specials and you can get a good deal on an apartment. My biggest thing on my decision was having my amenities back.I was living in a previous apartment community where folks were putting thier clothes in my washer to get a free wash or items of my clothing where missing. It was crazy. Everything is new at the Evergreens and one other things is that I don't like bugs. I haven't seen any so far and don't think that I will but I may get pre-extermination during the spring in the bathroom and the kitchen for a just-in-case prevention. But I am very pleased at the Evergreens.I also get lots of compliments on my apartment. I love my bathroom because it is nice and big with a vanity touch to it. You can get accent walls and that adds an excellent touch to the apartment and to also add spice to your furntiure and decorating style. I have a one bedroom the Birch. Another thing that impressed me; there have been times when it has snowed. I heard something outside of my window and it's was the Evergreens snow removal pickup truck that they use. The maintenance guys are out there removing the snow out of the parking lot early in the morning and placing salt down. At my previous apartment community you would take your chance to get out the parking lot the best way you can with no salt or any clear pathway. But I'm glad that I am at the Evergreens. The parking is really good and I don't have to worry about a parking space and it's well lit at night. They enforce permit parking to keep unwanted cars out. They do give you visitors passes for your guest per tenent at the Evergreens. You do have to pay for water, electric and gas. The highest electric bill was so far $37 or at $52 becuase its the winter time. All appliances are energy efficient all the way through with everything in the apartment. They also have a trash pick-up service called Vallet Trash Removal, they come in and pick up your trash right out of your own personal trashcan that the leasing office gives to you. They also have a trash compactor with a code to keep the stinch down in the community if the Vallet trash guys are not picking up on that day. I like cleanliness and the Evergreens is just that. If you have any issues with anything the management and staff is on it and no problem is never too small. They also do fun things at the leasing office like Christmas and Super Bowl Parties with food and drinks. I'm sure there is more fun stuff to come during the spring and summer. The Evergreens really turns it up a notch and make you feel welcome.

The Evergreens has been home to my daughter and I since August 2012. We have a two bedroom apartment which is has a nice layout. The rooms are a great size, everything is brand new and you cant hear any neighbors through the apartment. The community is quiet and safe, the staff is professional and helping. The maintenance people do a phenomenal job cleaning the units and taking out the trash everyday. I definitely recommend the Evergreens to anyone looking for a good, safe and quiet change. Mr. Camacho

My stay here was brief, but I will be honest. I loved the staff. They are, in my opinion, very professional and eager to help when and where they can. I also will say that even though the community isn't full yet, the residents that currenlty live here are quiet and very pleasant people, for the most part. For the apartments themselves, they are small. Deceptively so. You don't really "get" how small it is until you move in. All appliances were brand new, so I never had a maintenance issue. I left because, in all honesty, for as much as they have changed and bring to you now as high end, is quite costly. I understand that "high end" costs, but there's a line that can be crossed between "high end" to "taking advantage". I left this community and moved into another that was brand new from the ground up, larger units, better appliances, much more ammenities (including a pool and larger fitness center) with a smaller rental price. I am not saying The Evergreens is a bad community, they aren't. I definitely recommend them at this point. I left merely for the price. I was able to get more for less and only added 7 minutes to my drive.

Moved in Jan13, The Staff is professional and and very friendly :). I enjoyed the Residents lounge (especially since it took Comcast a week to turn on my cable). Upon moving in, I was surprised and delighted of all the goodies that the Evergreen @ Laurel setup in my unit. I had a place setting, hand/body soap, shower curtain, toothbrush/paste.. what a nice touch..I feel right @ home. Oh and I love that everything in brand new in my unit :) I would definately recommend this community, Thank you Evergreen!!

I moved in 7/12 and I love love it... the management staffing are very friendly and helpful. I have watched the development change and like what has been done. It does not feel like an apartment but more like a condo with all the services they offer. It's a wonderful place to call home.

I have lived in several high end apartments throughout the DMV and the Evergreens has become my favorite. They have a very personal touch and the new community club room is classy with a 70 inch screen tv (Fellas) as well as a very nice/clean/brand new fitness center. The apartment is very clean, no pests, everything is very well appointed with all new black appliances in the kitchen. Hidden gem in Laurel!

I would be very careful renting from this location. Renters insurance is required which is not the issue. However, when the glass of the sliding patio door cracked, they charged me for it. It was not my fault. This occured around 7-24 and I was scheduled to move 7-31. They withheld my security deposit even though as discussed with the maintenance man that it wasn't my fault. They put up a piece of wood for the duration of my stay. After I left, it was all of suddent stated that it was my fault. The manager Patrice's attitude was distasteful. They even turned my name into collections. Even though the place has gone through a massive upgrade which includes a enormous increase in rent, I suggest that a person really evaluate and think long and hard before choosing this as the place you want to call "home".
