So far it has been ok. I don't have any major problems but, apart from the view I have out of my apartment, there is nothing that makes it stand out over any other apartments that I looked at.

I love this community. Quiet yet close to the beltway and a shopping center. Meets all my needs. Great price for a wonderful community. The staff are very nice and helpful to answer all your questions and/ or concerns that you may have. Love it.

I am happy with the overall appearance of the apartment building and I feel safe in the community. I did have a problem with very noisy neighbors for a while, but that was resolved. My biggest complaint is that we had a serious problem with mice. The exterminator came promptly and the problem was resolved within two weeks, but I was left to clean up a lot of mess the mice left behind.

We have lived on the propertt for 2 and half years. The property is beautiful and a quiet community. We are a family of 3 in large two bedroom apartment that is reasonably priced. The new office staff and managers are wonderful, kind respectful and fix issues.

I have really come to like living here. I have made it my home. Love having a place that is close to the park and the pool for my son. If we decide to stay I love knowing he will go to a good school that's within walking distance.

I've lived in Doncaster for many years and have always been very happy here. The maintenance staff is the best. Any problems are attended to quickly and completely. We have a lovely new pool that provides plenty of play areas for kids. I would recommend Doncaster to anyone looking for a new apartment.

I have lived at Doncaster Village for 3 months. I moved here primarily based on reviews from this website and word of mouth. One of the recommendees was my brother who has been living here for 3 years. But what made me really decide to live here was my experience in the leasing office when inquiring about information. I walked in, no apointment, the office staff was pleasant. They took their time with me. While I was in the leasing office residents came in and actually seemed to have a pleasant relationship with the office staff. I also overheard the receptionist as she was answering calls from potential residents and to hear the limited amount of apartments available during the months people were requesting speaks volumes about the community because that means people are staying. After 3 months I admit that I really like living here. The neighborhood is safe, my son's school is conveniently across the street and the middle school is a 5 minute drive, maybe a 15 minute walk from my apartment. My neighbors are nice enough. We are not best friends, but we cordially acknowledge each other in passing. I have not had many maintenance issues but on the 2 occasions I called, they were timely in getting the issues addressed within 48 hours. My apartment is spacious. I like the closet sizes throughout the apartment. I can fit a queen sized 4 post canopy bed in my room and still have space to spare. All appliances work well and look new (I have one of the "updated" apartments which means you have the kitchen that's in the model apartment they show you and you have a nicer lighting fixture in your dining area and nicer vanity and mirror in your bathroom. When I moved in there was a scratch on the bathroom mirror and I told maintenance they replaced it right away. I like that a month after my moving in, they followed up with me to ask if I had any issues with my apartment, they encourage you to let them know about maintenance issues in a timely fashion. One thing I will say about maintenance is that they are courteous, knowledgable and professional. I really appreciate the fact that they seem to know what they are doing and are not afraid to get good contractors if it is not something they can handle. Parking is not huge but I always have a parking space that is pretty close to my apartment building. One thing that I liked recently was that they repaved the parking lot. The community warned people ahead of time that if they did not move their cars from the areas that were being worked on that the residents' cars would be towed. I liked the fact that maintenance went the extra mile on knocking on every affected resident's door to make sure they moved their car so it wouldn't be towed. They did this 5 minutes before the time they originally gave us to move and waited until all of us who they were able to speak to directly were able to move our cars. I have NEVER lived in a community that has done something like that. Needless to say I'm happy and have peace of mind living here because it feels safe. This is a very family friendly and pet friendly neighborhood. The only complaints I have are the laundry facilities and I wish there was a fitness center, but considering the price of rent here, I won't complain. If I have to do a lot of laundry I just go to the laundromat about 5 minutes away off of Joppa Road. Also, I like the fact that they will discuss locking in your rent rate. I was upfront with them about my budget constraints and not wanting to be priced out over the years by rate increases since Maryland doesn't have rent control. Too many apartment companies are going crazy charging mortgage payments for rent for basic apartments with no extra benefits. Because of my experience thus far with Doncaster and the experiences I have heard from others I figured it couldn't hurt to ask even though I hae only dealt with 1 apartment community that was willing to do it. I requested and signed a 3 year lease at the rate I'm currently paying which is $995 for a 2BR and as an owner of 1 dog. I consider it a good decision for me and my son. I work 45 minutes away but for the price I'm paying for a 2 BR here I was barely able to find a 1 BR in Columbia close to my job. Plus I hate moving so just call me lazy. Either way for this price point you won't have luxuries but you will have everything you need: working utilities, a nice, spacious apt, quiet & safe neighborhood, decent parking, convenience to good schools, professional staff & maintenance crew and pet friendly. The cons for me are the laundry facilities because there is only 2 washer/dryers per building and you have to pay. The washers barely clean a small load of laundry. The other con for me is the lack of a fitness center. As a busy single mom I just like the convenience of having a gym facility on the premises, but that's a want not a necessity. Overall considering the other choices in the Rosedale, Perry Hall, Parkville, Towson area I would recommend living here especially if you want a good affordable place to live.

This is a safe community. And this is the best community in the area (when it comes to safety and price). I have no complaints. They have recycling and plenty of dumpsters. They are clean and friendly. Maintenance is great. Walls are thick so the outside noise level is low when inside the apartment. They have a pool. I couldn't ask for a better place to live.

Everything has been nice except when water leaked into my apartment. It was a nightmare trying to have someone come out and take care of it. It took too long and I had to continuously call in to figure out when it was going to be take care of.

Doncaster Village used to be a fantastic place to live, but things are definitely going downhill this year. They never seem to have enough people in the office, they are getting picky with good residents over stupid things like dishes in the sink, they're raising the monthly rent far more than necessary to make up for installing washers/dryers in the units, and they just replaced our heavy safety doors with (possibly?) fiberglass ones. Don't even get me started on the quality of the residents that they're starting to allow in. It's the first time in 16 years that I'm actually considering moving out.

I have lived in the Doncaster Village apts for 4 years and really do like it. The monthly rent is low and I like the area. The only reason why I would choose to move out is because I am looking for an apartment which has a washer and dryer in the unit itself.

I've done pretty good here so far. The rental office staff has improved greatly over the years. The neighbors are nice and usually quiet. I feel safe and comfortable here. I hope I'll be able to stay for awhile.

Just transferred from non-renovated one bedroom to renovated two bedroom. Love the area and the new apartment is great. The appliances are new and the washer and dryer are not only new but full size. Our new building is set up so you can't hear neighbors.

I had some problems with some bad neighbors (Had personal belongings stolen, and felt unsafe kind of bad...) and had little support from management. I had many other issues for the first few years, but it seems that since there has been some change in management, things are a bit better. Good value for the price compared to the prices of other apartments in the area, and great location.
