My husband and I feel safe and at home here, and we're grateful for our experiences with the available and professional staff. It's a good place to live.

It has been good with the exception of the current tenant in apt. next to me.....She is up ALL night..bangs doors all hours of the night..plays music....no other tenant has EVER disturbed me....but seems as if the quality of the people coming here is not as good as it once was

My experience in this community has been nearly perfect. I was placed in a unit very quickly and with great politeness and enthusiasm. Any and all problems I have are addressed quickly and well done and the maintenance staff are so courteous and polite. It's been great living here and I would recommend it to many.

I have lived here many years and for most of them I loved it despite some flaws. Some positives are the neighborhood. Quiet, off the beaten path, close to everything. They do a decent job with snow removal etc. They are usually pretty quick with maintence requests and the guys are typically very friendly. Girls in the leasing office are mostly very friendly and looking to help. It's surrounded by trees and schools and churches. Grounds are kept clean for the most part. Lots of parking. Property managers come and go from this place every year. Some have been helpful and gregarious- but the past few years that has fallen off a bit. I've had very limited interactions with ind in office but when I've absolutely had to, the management seems to disappoint from a customer service standpoint. It doesn't offer any amenities other than a pool (in which they don't provide a permenant guest pass. You must pay $5 each, every time). Shared laundry that often breaks with no ETA on when they will be fixed (I've had to take sopping laundry out of wash and take to laundry mat to rewash Bc machine broke mid-cycle...numerous times throughout years). Leasing office makes promises when renewing lease that improvements are being made such as installing w/d units in each apartment (even having you sign an amendment to lease saying amount will increase midway due to this) yet it doesn't happen, they don't communicate the info and when you ask they seem indifferent. They started a dog park type project which sounded nice I theory expect they, again, never quite finished and it resulted in a small chain link fence enclosement that no one uses filled with junk and overgrown with weeds no one effectively tends to. All in all- For the ameneties and fixtures (or lack thereof) the price point is accurate and fair. The neighborhood is excellent. 3/5 Stars

I have lived at Doncaster for over a year now and I love it. The best part is that we are tucked away off of Joppa roads busy traffic and I love that. Not only is the staff here very friendly and accommodating but my neighbors are friendly as we'll. anytime I have put in for a repair to be made in my home they are very prompt and helpful. Overall I love my home here at Doncaster and would refer anyone to live here.

I have resided at Doncaster for two years now and I am so glad I chose this community to call home. It is very safe, well lit and maintained, the neighbors are kind, no issues with drugs/crime/loud parties or anything else that would make one apprehensive. The maintenance team, (whom I only had to call twice for minor issues), is trustworthy and their work is completed in a timely, first class manner. What really sets Doncaster apart is the management team. I knew Continental Realty was a reputable firm before moving in, but I had no idea just how super the property management team would be. Michael & his staff go above and beyond their realm of duty to make their residents feel valued, heard, and important. They are extremely professional and respond to questions, comments, concerns, etc. in a timely manner. They also arrange community activities throughout the year that allow residents to get to know one another. This is what creates an apartment "community" versus a "complex". I know management can be thankless at times, so...THANK YOU, Michael & team! You guys are rock stars and I am very grateful for all the ways you make living at Doncaster so enjoyable.

I lived here for awhile now and I like it. The people that live here are nice. But some of the people in the office are rude. Parking at night sucks..

I moved out of my parents house in September of 2012. This was my first experience living on my own. I am glad I chose Doncaster Village. The complex is beautiful and well-kept. PROS: -Nice/respectable neighbors -Location is nice, less than a 5 min drive from grocery store (Safeway) -I've only seen 2 spiders in the time I've stayed here. (I'm big on being scared of bugs) -Appliances are newer -Walls are thick so you can't hear your neighbors. My biggest fear moving into an apartment was being able to hear my neighbors doing personal things, But I hear nothing! -The doors have multiple locks which make me feel safe. -Maintenance is really fast. I had a few problems after first moving in, they fixed it the next day while I was at work! -The staff is always friendly when I need something (which isn't often) CONS: -The grass is a bit tall now, but that's just because its the winter/spring transition -Parking can be a bit bad at night or if you get home after rush hour, but I've never not had a parking spot for me. It sometimes may be a bit far All in all I would say that if you are on the edge about moving here, DO IT!

I moved here this year and was so pleased with the location. I however had to clean my apartment top to bottom immediately after moving in. The bathroom floor was filthy, the kitchen was equally filthy as well. The finishing done before my move in was generally very poor. The blinds on my sliding glass door were torn and falling apart and despite writing and notifying the office of the things that needed fixing NOTHING!!! was done as far as repairs go. The appliances in the kitchen are OLD!!! the fridge is old and rusty, the stove had problems the first day I used it but the they responded quickly to fixing it. The office staff is RUDE and DIS-INTERESTED basically just punch in and punch out for the day. I've had problems with mice, house centipedes, spiders and other weird insects I see crawling around despite me being super clean, having minimal furniture and taking my trash out every day after use to the dumpster. Parking is a nightmare at night. I don't think i'll be renewing my lease here. The office staff needs to especially be replaced.

I've lived in Doncaster Village for a year, and I've been very happy. My building is very quiet, and all my neighbors are nice. I'm in a third-floor apartment, but I'll be moving soon to a first-floor apartment. I've developed a disability, and I just can't manage all the stairs any longer. I could have moved elsewhere, but I chose to stay in this complex because I think it's very nice. I've never seen a mouse here, but that could be because I'm on the third floor and I have a cat. Every time I've needed something from the office, the staff has provided it cheerfully and quickly. Every time I've needed Maintenance, they've always responded right away -- even when my garbage disposal clogged on Christmas Eve, which was a staff holiday. Maintenance came quickly and installed a new disposal. The only drawback I've seen is in parking. There just aren't enough spaces for the three buildings on my court. I suspect the problem is that some residents have extra cars. I've been happy here, I've recommended the complex to others, and I'll continue to recommend the complex.

not a good place to live
I moved here in November of 2011 and the second month of me living here my work van got broken into. Also this place has mice. Everyday i come home form work i see mice dropping on my kitchen counter. i looked under the stove and i see where the maintenance people tried to be sneaky and put mice traps down. The people that work in the office are nice but the people who work at the pool are rude. I forgot my pool pass one day and they treated me like i didn't even live in the community. I understand the rules of the pool passes but they were so rude it was ridiculous and all i wanted to do was take my son swimming. Do yourself a favor and DONT move here. I pay my rent early every month and I shouldn't have to go through this.

no no don't do the mistake we did
i have been in this apartment about 2 months now and we have seen mice all over the house , so we call thestaff and tell them about it ,so a maintenance person came and puted some traps (we did before too ) so he closed only one hole only one !!!!when they said all of them , but it's ok we thought nothing's gonna come anymore from there so it's true we saw some mice the traps killed them so we thought it was overr , but noo. so after 3 days the house was in peace without any annoying and disgusting mice , we saw about 3 more in the 2 bedrooms in the closets in the kitchen and one recently just got inside the oven and ate whatever it had inside unfortunately.we are fed up with the staff the maintenance and the mice we just called them again and they said they re gona come on monday but i highly doubt it to do any worth work .

No mice up here!
I live on the 3rd flooor, and I haven't seen any mice. Maintenance has been quick to respond to my requests. I enter my requests online, and they respond according to the seriousness of the need -- they've responded right away to an emergency issue, within a day to a serious issue, and within 3 days to a non-urgent issue. I like living here. My building is quiet and peaceful. The staff calls me monthly or even more frequently to ask me how my apartment is and if they can do anything. There's a laundry room in every building, and the one in my building is always nice, clean, and well-lit.

Do Not Waste Your Time
Moving into Doncaster Village Apts. has been a total nightmare. The staff members are rude, the buildings are infested with mice and bed bugs, the townhomes are also invested with mice. I often question whether or not the maintenance staff has a licenses or has received any formal training... Please do not waste your time or money. It is absolutely not worth the headache

Not worth the money
Doncaster Village is not worth your money. It is much smaller that most two bedroom apartments. The staff is not very pleasant to deal with. They have never made any improvements. And they are infested with mice. That the company can not seem to get under control. Believe me there are a lot of nice apartments in the area that you should check out. Don't waste your money on this one. You will be glad you didn't!!

of all the things i see on this site are negative. For this area i thought this neighborhood was wonderful. I want to return to it. I lived in the building next to the shooting but it didnt faze me cuz it was the only drama i had heard of the whole year i had lived there. I like the community my building was quiet and people minded their business. To me its a good place to live if you want to be in a quiet area. I dont know what happened to get so many negative feed back but i had no issues except for small hall ways. I cant wait to be able to go back and ive never had a issue with the leasing office. Nor anything falling apart or dirty or anything this place to me is good enough for me to want to come back and you can only hear neighbors if your really really loud the walls are thick. ppl are just wanting to complain. no where is gonna be perfect but compaired to henderson webb and a lot of other areas in the city and county this is a great home to have especially if your getting started.

Can't wait to move!!!!
since this web site erases certain names and info. go to facebook "doncaster village apartments" and read the comments. It's no secret where the drugs are coming from. Management sucks, and as soon as my lease is up, my wife and I are moving! Also, the mice problem, I'll be posting pics just as soon as my son shows me how to upload them!!! Pretty Gross!!! Looks like a lot of my neighbors have them! Don't tell management, they may start to charge for additional occupants.

I moved into Doncaster in April. Personally, I love it. They have gone above and beyond for me. I had a leak from my air conditioning and they came out and not only dried up the mess in my carpet but replaced the floor under it and the padding in case it would mildew and smell in the future. They could have waited to see if it did but instead wanted to prevent a problem. It is a quiet neighborhood. Every time I have called the rental office for anything they have been very pleasant. They keep the common areas clean and litter free. I really cant say enough good things about it.

And I thought that last apartment complex I lived in was bad.....
Do not move into Doncaster! Within several months we were already catching mice even though my husband and I are extremely neat and tidy - vacuuming and cleaning at least once a week. We live on the 2nd floor and the neighbors above us sound like they are going bowling at all hours of the day and night. We can hear absolutely everything going on in all the apartments around us. We are already looking for another apartment complex to move into.

Up keep
The maintenance team is alright- however they do a lot of quick fixes. My apartment is full of them. Like the laminent floor in my kitchen which is peeling up and covering a filthy floor below it that I am assuming was damaged by water. This was not properly addressed. The head maintenance guy does SLOPPY work.. This place is so not worth it!!!!!!!!!!!! And the washer & dryers are filthy and now they want to raise the cost. What an insult!
