I like to live in this apartments but the parking and noise it's bad personal is not so professional ..they need to kee up with parking lot there's alot of people living there cars park in front of building when not being used and visitors that staying for weeks and months and cars with expired plates..office personal or workers don't check and if it gets reported they don't do much

Nothing has changed around here. I've been here for 9 years and it's a struggle to get to the bus stop nothing is shovel. I am tired of calling maintenance all the time only to be told that the contractor will come. I fell om February from lack of up keep. SMMFH. I don't know were else to move. Due to I love were I live. I'm just sick of complaining so I say nothing

It's ok if you keep to yourself. Don't leave laundry or soap unattended, it will get stolen. Packages also come up missing. Building always smells like weed. Biggest nuisance is when you have to have cockroach services. Definitely keep that in mind, because every time they have to service you pretty much have to repack your apartment up and cannot be home for a big window. Never had to deal with bugs my whole life until here. This is a ok spot to use a stepping stone but definitely not a forever stay.

Largely this place is fine. In previous years I've given much more glowing reviews but the longer I stay, the less satisfied I am. The pricing isn't too bad, whoever owns my building is generous with the rent so there's that and I appreciate them for it. But I also feel like I'm paying a lot for like... No amenities or security.

Nice area that's close to the main road so you don't have to go very far to get what you need?but also a lot of break ins and things being stolen does happen. Random vandalism does happen as well. Invest in cameras!!! Area isn't as safe as it seems.

Horrible wasteland to live in

I have been waiting years to leave this review. York Creek is thee worst apartment complex I have EVER lived in, and I've lived in many in my lifetime. I moved to York Creek out of college when I didn't have a lot of money, so I figured I'd move in for affordability. When I first moved in 2020, I was paying 855 a month for my apartment. 5 years later, I was paying $1,200 for the same apartment that was NEVER updated or upgraded. In addition to raising your rent by absurd amounts each year, if you want an updated apartment, they may you pay extra for those add-ons. If the apartment is older than me, you should be doing the add-ons yourself- not asking the resident to PAY MORE for them. They charge WAYYY too much for these trashy apartments. They are really overestimating their worth. Next comes safety. I NEVER felt safe here. There were always people doing drug deals in the parking lot, scary people hanging around your garage or cars. When I first moved into York Creek, some tweaker followed me and my boyfriend to our apartment and kicked in our door and tried assaulting us. When we told YC, they could have cared less. They have one security guard on duty for a massive complex. The security guard does absolutely nothing - I see them sitting in their car up at the Community Center most days, which isn't helping anyone. I saw the security guard sleeping in their car once. I will say, they did start adding more lights to the complex around when I left, but that still doesn't deter all of the crime that happens there (they found a dead body recently in the complex). Then comes the trash and filthiness. My neighbors would leave their trash bags in the hallway outside their door for DAYS and it smelled like a dead body in my apartment complex. It took YC weeks to finally do something about it. I also gotten cockroaches several times because they don't check people's apartments. I am one of the cleanest people I know and I got cockroaches TWICE. But YC would never spray any of the apartments near mine when I got them. Which doesn't help the root issue. If you live in YC, expect to have roaches or bed bugs because most of your neighbors will be nasty. There was always random trash near the dumpsters, in the walkways, EVERYWHERE. YC barely does anything to clean it up - their employees will come around once or twice a week to 'clean'. and By clean, they only clean up whatever trash they can reach with their grabbers. If it's any more than that, they just leave it. One time I decided to clean behind my apartment. In one hour, I had three bags of trash collected from behind my apartment. York Creek is nasty, unsafe and greedy. They know poor people can only afford to live there, and they will try to suck every penny out of you. Thankfully, I came into some money and was able to break out of my lease. I hated YC so much I paid the early lease termination fee to get tf away from here. DO NOT DO IT. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Decent monthly rent, except it goes up around $30-70 anytime you want to renew. The apartment buildings smell extremely bad and are very dirty, even though they have someone "clean" it every week. The cleaning consists of vacuuming and wiping down the mirror on the door. There is a decent amount of crime, but my roommate and I have avoided all of it for 2+ years now, so it's possible to be safe and live here! Also watch out for kids! They're always crossing the street when there are cars, or crowding up the parking lot after getting off the bus. There are also no security cameras in the building which makes me feel uneasy because neighbors have complained about packages being stolen and things like that. The parking lots are always full at my building, and have 0 lighting so it can be scary at night when I have to park farther away.

Needs updating! Very old style and outdated for the prices. The rugs are not new and flooring needs to be fixed. Had a roof leak and they fixed it very horribly, outdated style the hallways smell bad due to dirty rugs

Apple Ridge is a quiet and a safe apartment community. I've lived here since 2017 and highly recommend it. My apartment is cool in the summers and warm in the winter. It's very comfortable. The grounds are very beautiful and well maintained.

While my experience of living in my apartment has been good for the most part, any time I need help from the leasing office staff I am almost always challenged to get adequate help and customer service. There are a select few individuals who do a great job with customer service. When I have worked with those select staff the experience is great! However I have a package (valued over $300) that has been stuck in the Amazon lockers for 2 months now (Since Sept 9). The hub says screen says "please see property staff to get your package". I have met with the front desk staff, James from resident services and James the regional manager, while also making over 8 calls to the office for help and checking for updates. None of my calls have been returned and no one has made any attempt (that I'm aware of) to help me with this issue.

I researched many affordable apartments these where the only ones i have found that offer garages. Which was my one of my top priority along with the washer and dryer! Maintance is always there to fix problems when they come up!

It's a decent sized apartment and the price was right for what I am renting. The condition of the kitchen/ appliances leaves a bit to be desired but I will manage. The stove is old and the oven is functional but I don't know if I would say I'd pay anymore next year if they don't replace/upgrade the stove.

It's not a safe place to live and your packages get stolen there are allot of drug drug dealers n child molesters i don't go outside unless light out. My upstairs neighbors e very noisy all 24 hours I live at parking lot level noisy cars people fighting n music so loud I cant hear anything in my apartment

I am fortunate most of the people in my building have been here as long or longer than I have. We watch out for each other, and try to keep our building and common areas in good condition. The lawn service they use is lacking, clean up of anything like branches, etc. dropped by storms. They just go around them.

My experience has not been the best, there has been times where maintenance has come into my apartment and there has been damages to my belongings ( on more than one occasion) when I went to the property manager he treated me like a liar. There is also constant thefts in peoples cars mine has been broken into twice and nothing has been done about it

Overall I'd say I'm satisfied with the price I pay. I don't expect much with it being York Creek and I've lived here before. People take things out of dumpsters and sell it out of their garage, dog poop in the grass, food in parking lots, and the apartments themselves could be taken a little better care of. My stove was dented by a previous tenant so I can't cook evenly, paint splatter on carpets and chips in walls. But you get what you pay for. The apartment is a good size and the layout is nice. I have good neighbors which makes a huge difference in my opinion. It would be nice if there were some type of cameras for safety knowing cars get broken into here, mine being one, and the occasional shootings.
