I think there should be a place where kids can ride their bikes and be able to play outside we pay a lot of money for these apartments and to tell you kids that just a brand new bike sorry you vant ride it here sucks

    Our playground near the 4 mile entrance is a great place for kids to play, and there are sidewalks along the roadways so kids can ride their bikes right to the playground. If you are unsure of the location please stop in to the office and we would be happy to give you a property map.

    I have had a great experience with York Creek. I love my apartment and the staff are always friendly. I've only had two maintenance requests but both times they were out same day to fix it. I also love the new brick on the garages - looks great! One recommendation would be to repaint the hallways

      I love that we can walk places but I hate that the lights on the sidewalks some goes off when you walk by and others don't work. I wish we can get the lights working at night. Also I wish we can get roads checked for pot holes and filled them please

        A lot of fast driving when there are kids around, trash on the lawns, ac units barley work but make the bill big. Other than that the noise levels are low and no other complaints. Not sure why the rent needs to go up every year with a charge to upgrade your apartment.

          I hate living here. They absolutely don't give a crap about the residents as long as you make them their millions every year. Keep the bar low don't have any high hopes of this place not being a drug infested prison. I wish I never moved here!!!

            Get new front desk lady

            I have lived here for several years. The renewal process is a joke. We go in for our renewal appt and have to sit there because Tamra is not ready for us. Then I had to go back and give a copy of my drivers license because she forgot to do it. Get someone in there who knows how to do their job and who respects their residents' time. The front desk lady Tammy is rude, loud, and smells like cigarettes. It's disgusting. On the other hand, Heather is a breath of fresh air. She's the only one in there with a brain. She's always smiling and working hard. She is so sweet to everyone! She deserves a raise and a promotion!

              Ive lived here for a couple years now. I moved here because not only (in my opinion) is it the most affordable complex around, but as a kid my friends lived here and I always told myself that I would have a loft like they did one day.. Now I know a lot of people talk down on the area of York Creek sometimes but I genuinely mean it when I say that Heather ALONE, makes my experience living here so much more enjoyable! She is the nicest person! She has such a positive attitude, engages with you in a way that makes you feel like youre friends, she goes more than above and beyond for the people that live here. She is the reason I keep renewing my lease! If you guys ever consider moving here, talk to her! And if you already live here? Go to her!!

                    Maintenance

                    I just have to give a HUGE shout out to Molly in maintenance! Thank you so much for your dedication to maintaining the buildings. You may not think that no one notices your hard work, but I do! Molly has always been prompt in calling me when I have a maintenance request and always works around my schedule especially with my pup Marley. I have never had a negative experience while on the phone with her or the maintenance staff. Molly has always gone above and beyond to make sure that my maintenance needs have been met. Molly keep staying the sweet, awesome person that you are!

                        Not a bad place to live for cost. Downsides no one picks up dog poop, dogs are off leashes, and there are kids that are just left outside all day. The kids have broken into our garage even and destroyed our stuff and stole a knife. They also throw footballs at people's cars. So if you keep a close eye on your stuff you should be okay. Plus side is maintenance is getting better at response times. The laundry isn't that bad either of price, cheaper than nearby places. Some really good neighbors too.

                        Neighbor wise, I haven't had any issues at all! Beside dog owners not picking up the dog poop. It's ALL over. Sometimes even on the side walk or right in front of the door. I've complained to the office, so has my neighbors. Nothing is done about it. Nothing is done about much when you complain. Once they get you in here, they don't care what happens as long as you pay your rent.

                          Its a nice place to live had 0 problems and when you use the resident portol for problems they get back too you pretty quickley. Rent dose go up every year thats kind of a bad thing other than that the place is ok.

                            Easy to apply very straight forward, close to all the essential stores! The apartments are Very affordable and had lots of different options to choose from, they base off income and credit score so it's pretty easy to get in.

                              We had some great neighbors in our building. But the bad neighbors have running the good ones out. Dog poop is always all over the sidewalk in front of the building. Loud fighting and arguing in the hallway and on the sidewalk. The grounds people try hard to keep things picked up. It is just disrespectful neighbors leaving things a mess.

                                  The York Creek Office and Maintenance Department are quick to address and fix current issues. I have had all good neighbors but one. I feel safe and secure in my environment. Summer yard maintenance and Winter maintenance nice and done in a timely manner. I will continue to stay as long as I can as I am a Senior citizen.

                                    Community wise it's an okay place to live. Obviously you always get a mixture of other tenants but I am glad to be in a building were we don't have very many issues. There is more of a problem with maintenance issues

                                      My past experience has been wonderful, but now the way the rates are increasing is terrible. The people that are moving in and out constantly is sad. I think it is a good place to live, and a very good school district. It is just very hard to keep up with the increases. There are very few amenities in the apartments. I think the cost is very high for what we receive. Thankfully I have lived there so long that mine is not as expensive just yet as everyone else's.

                                          I have an apartment with my cousin, so when we first moved weren't able to get either of the units we asked for. Right along with our leasing agent being inconsistent and late with things. I have a letter for my pets because their service animals, but for some reason we're paying for our kitten on rent every month. No one mentioned that if he didn't have his papers, we would be getting charged. We also have been getting harassed and when I told the head of residential affairs this is how we felt, I was told that things weren't only applied to us because other tenants had been addressed but we had a letter from one of the neighbors on our door about my dog. Then recently someone smeared animal feces all over our garage. I wouldn't recommend living here to my worst enemy. It just comes with a lot of problems and too much money

                                            Too many residents with big dogs leaving waste outside, too much marijuana use and smell. Need to daily fines on residents who leave garage doors bent out of shape for months or leave open day and night with cats going in and out.

                                                YORKCREEK is an exceptional place to live,management will work with you if your a Groovy tenant and are respectful to the property, and if the Trash disposal was upgraded, meaning more dumpsters Yorkcreek will be 1-of the most livable APT's in Grandrapids MI,overall I LOVE the management at Yorkcreek they will always listen and be Transparent to all human beings, I love they community activities for the youth this is very important these days,School programs, when I'm able to purchase my home I'll be Happy,but Yorkcreek is home for me now,and it's aye great place to be temporarily.

                                                  A: Absolutely, and noise complaints almost always go ignored, OR they take so long to send their rent-a-cop over to check things out people have finally quieted down, leading to a response of "we cant do anything if we dont catch them at it", making me wonder if they arent INTENTIONALLY slow so they dont have to deal with enforcing their rules and the trouble of removing a problem tennant.
