    Very friendly neighbors. Close to the Grand Rapids busline and grocery and pet stores. New look for garages made them look very nice. Got our walkway from security door powerwashed. Saw a bald eagle following the creek and many woodpeckers.

      We have lived here for almost a year now, and we haven't had any complaints, the worst we see or hear is someone being loud in their car at night but that happens anywhere you live. Rent isn't too crazy either

        This is a nice, affordable place to live. Property management does a lovely job maintaining the grounds and keeping the buildings as clean as possible. The office staff is friendly and responsive. Maintenance is quick to fix issues. They seem to really care.

          Over the year and a half that I've been here there have been some ups and downs. Issues with correcting my lease, problems with ants, sometimes people hanging out in the entryway for a while, and for some reason our building's door has been replaced like 4 or 5 times, and at one point during a door issue the knob was just missing. Nobody really explained any of this or informed us of the work being done. I also believe that the cost of rent is too high. I should not be paying the cost of a mortgage for something I will never own.

            I personally love the apartment and the community itself. Unfortunately sometimes you get inconsiderate neighbors who make it hard to enjoy your home.Otherwise i'd really enjoy living here a lot more!

              I've been here for six years and never had an issue.And I like the community as a whole. There is only one issue I have experienced and that was the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway, but otherwise it's been an good experience.

                Overall, a good experience. Maintenance comes in a timely manner. The office personal is great. I wish the vacent garage dooe was not stuxk open. The apartment is moderized. My neighbors are quiet.

                  The maintenance is very quick to respond whenever contacted. As a renter it is on you to be proactive about telling them anything, and there are a ton of units in the area. Decent amount of sidewalks around to be used. There is no public space provided to use outside of the few grilling areas and one playground. Grass spaces and parking lot are not allowed to be used for almost anything.

                    Violence, fires, high rent, renewal contract is horrible. They try to lock you in and if you move before 6 months you have to pay 4x's the rent. If you move after 6 months of renewing your lease you have to pay 2 x's your rent. Good tenants have to pay the consequences for previous bad ones.

                      IM GOING TO BE 100% HONEST HERE. THIS IS TO HOPEFULLY IMPROVE THE CURRENT CONDITIONS AT YORK CREEK MOVING FORWARD. THE LACK OF TRANSPARENCY ON THE LEASING DEPARTMENT IS SAD, BUT IM FULLY AWARE YORK CREEK IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED & IT SHOWS IN VARIOUS AREAS. INITIAL LEASE STAED A 30$/YEAR INCREASE DUE TO MARKET. NOT THE CASE. OVER 7 YEARS , AN INCREASE OF OVER 800$ HAS OCCURRED SADLY, CURRENTLY MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO BOTH KEEP RESIDENTS & THEM NOW HAVING TO CHOOSE BETWEEN PUTTING FOOD ON THE TABLE & PAYING RENT AT WHAT IS NOW 50% OR MORE OF MOSTS INCOME. WITH NO RENTAL CONTROL IN MICHIGAN, THE COMPANY HAS MORE THAN MANIPULATED & TAKEN ADVANTAGE AT THIS POINT. AND WITH ALL THE UPCHARGES & PEOPLE NOW BEING PRICED OUT, THEYVE FAILED TO PUT A SINGLE DIME INTO PROPER RENOVATION.                         My adult son and I have lived at York Creek for about 4 years, and we like it here. This is a very diverse community, and we like that too. This is one of the few apartment complexes left that still includes some amenities, including water, gas, and a garage. There is security on site, and maintenance is usually pretty quick to respond to calls. They take excellent care of the grounds - the grass is green and watered, and the landscape is tended to. That said, you will see full dumpsters and trash in parking lots occasionally. This is NOT the fault of the complex. People move in and out and leave dumpsters full when this happens. Trash day is trash day. They cannot call to have these emptied sooner. Some people are just rude and leave their trash on the ground. This is a sad fact of life. It should be everyone's responsibility to pitch in and pick up trash when they see it. It is not the complex's responsibility to go around and clean up after the residents. Overall, the complex is very clean and nice. The staff is nice and helpful. We truly enjoy living here and plan to stay.

                            I rent a garage at York creek. My payments were setup automatically considering I had 18 monthly payment at the time and realized I didn't have the time to go in person every month. I didn't know they stopped until I got a court letter a month or two later (that's a missed payment I was unaware of.) So I immediately went to correct that. Long story short, after paying my past-due amount in person and re-starting my online payments - I again missed a payment in November because it wasn't automatically taken out of my account. At court they claimed I didn't make a payment that was made in person at their office claiming "we're unable to do that". It's now been two years after I was taken to court for "non-payments" after years of consistently paying and I finally found the receipt I was issued when I paid in-person for the transaction they were "unable to physically do." I felt embarrassed and a lack of understanding from York Creek and their accountant for escalating a situation without calling, emailing or notifying me prior to serving me for a situation I was unaware of.

                                    Since I moved here, I have been in love with my apartment. I had many issues in the past with the noises upstairs, but the office has tried to help me so far, so good, that is the parents' job. This year, my building had new neighbors with more dogs, and it's a problem when I am entering and the dogs are coming. But I am this person who doesn't like to complain about everything, so I am ignoring those. But in general I like my place.

                                          To be perfectly honest there is nothing special about this apartment complex. However, it's good enough for me. They have a better monthly payment compared to other complexes and when you call maintenance to fix any issues they normally respond quickly and make sure to fix what you need.

                                                A: Absolutely, and noise complaints almost always go ignored, OR they take so long to send their rent-a-cop over to check things out people have finally quieted down, leading to a response of "we cant do anything if we dont catch them at it", making me wonder if they arent INTENTIONALLY slow so they dont have to deal with enforcing their rules and the trouble of removing a problem tennant.
