I dare say I researched 95% of Apartments in the Greater Grand Rapids Area. I found this place to be the best bang for the buck. Just moved in 10/10/14. First of all my Leasing Agent, Jen Shea, was a very dear Sweet Gal right out of the gate. Very professional and always diligent about returning my emails and/or phone calls. Im in a very quiet area. Way down around the back, Woods side. Lg 1 BR w/ Loft, Walk in Pantry and Cut Out Window in the Kitchen. Now that most of the leaves have dropped I can see the creek flowing thru the woods. While standing on my deck or looking out my bedroom window. Love, Love, Lovin' my York Creek Apartment. I'm kinda feelin' a little like Weezy...Only on the West Side...http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=aaplw&p=w Many ammenities that I have not yet had a chance to take advantage of. Having my own garage is a huge Bonus. I've had a few small maintenance issues. The Maintenance Department has been prompt about completing the necessary repairs. I would highly recommend York Creek Apartments to anyone.

This staff and complex is awesome! I dealt directly with Jenn Shea and she was amazing to work with. I could not believe the quality and the low rates. I love the fact that each apartment comes with a garage especially for the winter! I recommended this apartment everyone. I have already recommended to three of my friends already! Obviously when you walk in the door ask for Jenn Shea!!!!

I have leave here for about 3 years now and out of no where I receive a court notice saying that I have to move out no paper from the manager or anything to explain the reason all I know that in the 35 months that I've lived here never have security or cops come in to my place for any complain about us yea to be honest I've been late a couple times due to to loss my job once but I paid everything that I own. Also I call for maintenance not even 5 times to my apartment on all this time, just need a explanation why??????

I just recently moved in to York Creek. The approval process couldn't have been more simple. Jen Shea was my leasing agent and she was absolutely fabulous. She was extremely easy to communicate with and everything was able to be set up though email, which was very helpful due to my work schedule. I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with. So far, my experience with York Creek apartments has been very positive.

I 'm a recent college grad and just moved into York Creek Apartments. Compared to where I was before, my apartment now is so peaceful. All windows in my apartment overlook beautiful green forestry. I worked with Jen Shea from the leasing office, and I'm happy to say she was an absolute pleasure to work with. My apartment was in wonderful condition when I moved in, and it really is a lot of apartment for the money. 793 square feet for $610/mo for myself; I'm very happy here, not to mention I'm 15min from work and only about 10min from downtown Grand Rapids. Also, there's a great number of restaurants and shops nearby that meet any and all of my needs. Happy tenant.

I just relocated to the Grand Rapids, MI area for business. To my great surprise I found it very challenging to find a decent apartment. Happily I found Jen Shea and York Creek Apartments in Comstock Park. Jen was able to accommodate my requirements of a ground floor unit with covered parking, in building laundry facilities and reasonable rent and she has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Jen is very knowledgeable about York Creek, their competitors and where to send the newly transported in Grand Rapids to get the goods and services we need. I would strongly recommend her and York Creek for a fairly priced apartment and great customer service.

I just moved here a little bit ago and absolutely love it. My place is huge and all the neighbors are very nice and accepting of my dog. We don't hear noise through the walls like other apartments, and I love the only thing I'm in charge of is my electric. I have never felt scared or in danger at my property. Jen Shea did a great job of moving me in and answering all my questions. It was overall a very easy transition for me. I would recommend living here

Living at York Creek was by far the worst experience of my life. We rented this apartment the day we toured- it looked great. Two bedrooms, 1.5 baths and a loft for a really reasonable price. What we didn't realize is how unsafe the place is and how horrible the management was. Our building was broken into numerous times, and when we called security, they told us to make sure our door was locked. Someone literally ripped the front door out of the frame. People were always fighting in the parking lots, I cannot count how many times I saw the police around (and not just because they were "keeping things safe"). Additionally, we attempted to sublease. Well long story short, subleaser did not pay rent while they lived there- and the management staff refused to work with us to set up a payment plan. $2000 plus court fees later, they have made it absolutely impossible for us to find another apartment. And refuse to hold the subleaser responsible. During this process, I was hung up on by office staff, phone calls were not returned, and this all could have been avoided if they would have communicated with us that the subleaser was not paying rent. Please really look around the facilities before you rent here- I never once felt safe.

I am currently renting at York Creek. The leasing agent that I worked with was Jen Shea, and she was very very helpful. Anytime I would email her with a question,she answered it right away. She also called you back when your leave her a voicemail. Jen has a positive and helpful attitude. Jen knows how to do her job and love to help people get what they are looking for in a apartment. My husband and I moved in approximately 3 weeks ago. We had to move on a whim due to a rapid job relocation. Jen Shea worked with us, and was nothing short of EXCELLENT. She was very honest with us regarding all of our possible options, she took us on many tours, and was very patient with us although she was being rushed. She worked extremely hard for 2 days straight making sure we found the perfect place for us, making sure our former apartments turned in our renter's histories, and verifying all of our employment information as were in a transitional period. She and the management staff of York Creek really blessed us. They also upgraded a few things in our apartment at no cost due to some of the conditions we felt weren't favorable. We been dealing with some of the guys who change out things in the apartment, and they have been nice, punctual and very professional. And we just called maintenance today and they responded right away to take care of our concern. I love our new apartment. It's very quiet. Walls are pretty thick so most 95% of the time I do not hear my neighbors except for some music at times, which is still pretty quiet. Plus we listen to music a lot and watch a lot of movies, so i cant complain. We see security riding around the grounds which makes me feel safe being outdoors at any time. The apartment is also at a great price for us. We also got a big garage included in the rent; most places we went charged $20/month for just a carport. The rent is consistent and will not be changed from the time the lease is signed. You get a gym membership for only $25 for the whole year!! They have so many apartment styles and choices to choose from all at reasonable prices. My husband and I have looked all over for apartments from Holland to Grand Rapids. There were really nice apartments that we came across but all of them were completely taken up, or overpriced, or just down right nasty. At York Creek Apartments you will get the most bang for your buck. There are a few things I would like changed about the way things were done in the apartment. I feel that the people who worked on it could have done a better job at adding greater quality to their work and being more attentive to detail. But I see every little thing that your average person wouldn't even notice let alone have a problem with. They are very small issues however, and certainly fixable. I am planning to turn in my request and apartment checklist today, and I feel really good that they will respond to those requests as they have proven themselves to be readily responsive to our previous requests and even to the reviews written by others on this site. I wish they had swimming pools or some sort of community interaction activities, outings, etc. The community is so big tho I am not sure if that would be economically feasible for them. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience so far here. I pray that that continues!

I recently posted a very positive review about York Creek, but that was before I actually moved in. I have only been here for 17 days and I have already had my garage broken into and my son's bike was stolen. York Creek still hasn't fixed my garage door and really doesn't seem to care that my property was taken. I had a major any infestation, which can happen anywhere, but when I called maintenance to help me, I was told "that sucks". I went out and bought my own ant killer. Now my sink is leaking everywhere and I don't have a lot of confidence that anyone will care about that either. They make this place sound like heaven when they are trying to get you to move in. Don't fall for it! Once you have signed the lease, you cease to matter. I can't believe I am stuck here until I can take the early buy out on my lease. Not happy at all!!

The application process was very easy and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoy my new apartment and enjoy the community. The area I live in is very quiet and there is always plenty of parking. The only thing I think needs to be improved is adding more trash bins to avoid the garbage in the parking lot. They are prejudice ppl. They don't like renting to black people. I went there to get application I use to live there. No balance or nothing owed. So I called to make appointment with them to get application and a specifically can I rent to u guys again. They said yeah so I went there for them to say no I said what's the reason they said because the manager said no. I'm like I stayed there for two years at least they can give me was a explanation smh. Worse service ever!!!!!!! They don't have no black ppl working there so they look upside are heads when we go there. I'm going to call land and company to make a complaint because it was no reason for them to say no. Smh but now I'm @ alpine slopes feel so much better to be in environment that you are accepted!

I am very pleased with my apartment so far at York Creek Apartments. Jen Shea was the Leasing Consultant that helped me find a place, and I am more than happy with how she assisted me. She showed me a few places the same day! I also have my own one-stall garage that insures that my car is safe. I would definitely recommend York Creek it's very nice and peaceful nighbors are great also if you're looking for a great value at a reasonable price that is very close to many restaurants and and stores (Walmart) and is only a few minutes from downtown Grand Rapids

Wouldn't recomment AT ALL! Hated it! The mold , bugs , and termites is to start. Lack of communication with complex office and residents they dont mail out invoice with rent ammount and WHEN YOU MOVE HERE YOUR INSURANCE GOES WAYYYY UP DUE TO ALL OF THE BREAK-INS AND CRIMES! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE! STAY AWAY!!

The person who helped me was Ms Kim. She was nice enough to explain all of what the area surrounding the apartments had to offer and was nice enough to e-mail me information. She made the application process smooth. She was very informative about what the apartment has to offer. It is a good deal with all that is included. She accommodated for each one of my needs. and for other family members. When I asked for an apartment that was easy accessible to the second floor, she did not hesitate to make sure my request was addressed. When I left a message for her to call me, she called me back in a timely manner. When I first arrived at the apartments as busy as Ms Kim was, she took the time out to take my family and I to the apartment to show us around. I have been living in York Creek apartments for over six months. I can actually say that what Ms Kim told me to expect is what I have experienced. It is very roomy. I love the view. She said that it would be very quiet and it is. I do not have to go far to get what I need, I was very thankful for that. They do a great job placing salt down on the walk way so that I will not have to worry about falling. They keep you nice and warm during the really cold nights we have had. Also, the staff in the office are very nice. They have very good security. I always feel so safe living here. I love the fact that an intercom is included. The hall ways are kept clean. They staff do well at keeping the apartments looking nice. Their maintenance staff are very nice. Furthermore, Ms Kim is a very good listener, a hard and fast worker. I was on a specific time schedule to find an apartment. She did an excellent job in quickly finding an apartment for me. Furthermore, I would recommend this apartment to others. Great job!

I needed an apartment very quickly that was pet friendly. I looked around and it appeared that Land and Co. apartment complexes were generally the highest rated in Gr. I contacted their office and spoke with Jennifer Hoffer about helping me find an apartment that met my needs. Not all of their apartment complexes allowed dogs, but with two weeks I was able to move into York Creek apartments. My unit has a walk out backdoor which is extremely nice for my Labrador. A garage is included with my rent, so when winter comes it will be nice to not scrap my windshield every morning. My apartment also has new carpet and counter tops. I haven't had an issue like other people using the laundry machines in my building. I have lived in apartments for the last ten years and the lease terms here are very fair. The thoroughness of the leasing staff when signing up was appreciated by me. On move in day, I had two things that I wanted fixed and by the time I got home after work it was done. Overall, I very pleased with my experience at York creek.
