I've been in my current apartment since 2021, but lived at Coopers Landing since 2019. Overall, very happy here especially with my dog able to use the dog-park and walk the complex. Would like to see a commitment to upgrading appliances.

It's an okay place to live. Recently, our garages were opened by the management office, though, and they did not notify us. The management office is okay aside for violation of the garages, but there is one employee I don't engage with. The management office works with you on concerns you have, and rectify issues overall. The maintenance staff has been good. They are fast on getting repairs done. Overall, it's an okay place to live, but not worth the rent they charge. The other residents aren't the best, so I choose not to engage. I've heard that your experience here depends on the area of the complex that you live. In the more expensive apartments, the residents are quiet, but with the "low end" apartments, the residents are inconsiderate and noisy at all hours of the night as they are coming and going. Because of the recent events of my garage being opened without being notified prior, and my experience here overall, I don't intend to renew my lease. It's unfortunate that the residents they allow to move in are the more ------ clientele in Kalamazoo. It really impacts the living experience overall.

Stop deforesting to build more units. This complex is big enough and you make enough money. If you're gonna keep building, quite raising rent. You're bringing in more money by doing this you do not need to keep milking people who have lived here for years for everything they've got in a world where literally every cost is skyrocketing and wages are not. You will end up losing good, long-term tenants if you keep doing this.

I used to love Coopers, but I'm honestly disappointed with them lately. They have been unprofessional in their handling of their own banking issues (over multiple months). They blamed me multiple times, asked me to call my bank when I told them it was not related to my bank. Then they didn't apologize for their error, then did it again the next month.

A lovely complex. I especially appreciate that you do criminal records checks. I also appreciate the night security patrol. Always a fast response for maintenance requests, and always friendly staff.

Very quiet here and my neighbors keep to themselves. We need things to do such as a bigger playground or basketball court also we have only one barbecue grill and could use more to prevent people from having to go elsewhere for a bbq day.

This is a nice community very quiet people seem friendly. I liked the little walking path. I do know that you guys have to raise the rent, but the cost of living is so hard now and a lot of people are older people like to live there. No one wants to keep moving and I see they take good care of everything. I see flowers and yards and it'll be nice if the rent didn't go up every year And we had at least a grace period. For paying rent.

My boyfriend and I moved into Coopers Landing after having a bad experience with a different apartment complex. From the start the people at Coopers Landing were so nice and very helpful. We just signed our 4th lease agreement with Coopers Landing and could not be happier. They are always super helpful and super fast at responding.

Community is quiet. Respectful. Sometimes they speed a little too much driving through. Never had an issue with anyone in the neighborhood. Wish they had a gym. It's close to everything you need such as groceries, food, and more.

I love the maintenance men they are all nice. The staff is very friendly. I feel safe here and my dog loves the walks the dog park and they have poop bags all over just in case you forgot your own. They have a picnic every year for the residents. I love it here. If I have a question I just call and it is answered. They keep the sidewalks clean summer and winter.

Very personable office staff that remembers your name despite the 1000 tenants(?) Earnestly responds to noise and any type of complaint and on a very timely basis. After hours security is here within 5 mins the 2x I called. Maintenance calls back same day or within 24 hrs and fixes what they can but if it's a plumbing issue requiring experts, then that's who is called. Not experienced that so I don't know timelines on specialty repairs. The staff works hard to ensure all tenants are treated equally and therefore you must be vigilant about your garbage, poop free grounds, and you are expected to follow your lease to the letter but w/the size of this complex, there have been some small/med sz fires and so you will be happy you were required to get & keep renters insurance. We are all struggling w/inflation but even our license plate stickers need to be kept current because you are on private property and it's for everyone's protection. Towing and fines may seem extreme but if you pause & get over it being punitive & ridiculous for your landlord to dictate, you'd see they are protecting themselves & only requiring you what the State of MI does. Stay calm, talk to a member of the staff you prefer, & see if there's a solution. Rent raises here are higher than other places but it's because the others started out close to what we pay now so they only raise rent by $15-20 or not at all. I don't know if you are posting these experiences but that's why I'm speaking to the other residents. You could definitely inform prospective loft residents that their apts get very hot, also explain how loud the air conditioner is and since it's in your living room, you have to crank up your TV. I've spoke to many residents that say the same thing. Not sure if it's the unit or because it's in a wall and not a window but it's a nuisance and unless you plan to sleep in your living room in these increasingly hot Indian summers, you need a portable roll up a/c unit for your bedroom. Make sure to let residents know and maintenance that the ceiling fans should be set to go counterclockwise when it starts to get warm and since there are no heating vents in the loft which is where I put my bed, reversing the fan to clockwise warms the air. Email/text or letter us to let us know when heat will be locked and unlocked. It's be great for land & company (are we under new MGMT? but still owned by them) to negotiate a deal with spectrum or Verizon, T-Mobile would love to give you a great deal since they just started doing home internet. A list of ways to save money would be great! "Ask for the Universe, except the World" I give you 4.5 of 5 stars because there's always room for improvement. If I could ask for one thing, and I would be willing to do a fundraiser, find contractors that trade their trade for help from others that do what they don't know how to, because a complex that is every expanding has no gym and no pool. I understand that insurance is much higher with a pool but we should have two. Preferably, a children's and an adults only. I have so much exercise equipment that I would donate to start a onsite gym and I'm positive that others would do the same. It's too hot to play tennis and many of us are 50+ years and I would use a pool everyday. You just finished 3 new buildings that are 2 bed, 2 bath, loft, in an updated design. That's more revenue. Take a survey on how many people use their garages. The # of no's for ppl who have detached garages where if you're in a loft, your garage is the 6th garage from the end. Offer ppl who don't want there garage a small d/c on their rent and rent out those garages to ppl that have extra cars, need more storage, wants a workshop etc and charge similar to a storage place but inform that the money will be going toward installing a pool and you will have many takers! Have 2 garage sales and donate some proceeds to the pool project. Create a resident committee for projects and fundraising. Instead of Borgess fitness center, or a choice, give a d/c on a black card membership at Planet Fitness. Find an apartment community willing to allow our residents to use their pool at the residents expense with all $ going to the complex with pool or pools, or complexes. Hope you appreciated all my feedback, ideas, and passion for making the place I live a fun and healthy place to live. Two more things, block parties. Just like neighborhoods have. Residents would do it all but it'd be great for maintenance to lend their services to help with lighting etc. Residents should be able to paint their walls whatever colors they want since you repaint after each tenant moves out anyway but in this case we would repaint the walls ourselves if provided the paint and at our cost of it goes over what is normally needed. Thanks for listening!

Living at Cooper's Landing Apartments has truly been a joy over the past several years. I've especially enjoyed the access to nature, including the well-maintained walking path and the extended trail.

So far, everything is good. Besides the fact that they used baseboard heating and a window unit for AC in a new building. That and the fact I have casement windows. Something newly built in 2022 with those is crazy and awful. I can't get warm enough in the winter or cold enough in the summer.

Nothing being done for pot smoking, blaring tvs, illegal parking, kids running on stairs and screaming late hours. Your security just flys by. Smoke pot inside your home. Not so it blows in my window

Overall, it has been great, but there are certainly some noise related issues occasionally. There have been a few instances of unsupervised children causing significant noise at night at the front of my building.

It's an excellent place to live. I've enjoyed my time here The office staff is quick to respond to issue It would be helpful if residents that have more than 1 vehicle aren't allowed to take multiple parking places along the sidewalk, also visitors staying with residents also using the parking places in front of the building

I love my unit & neighbors. I have enjoyed the community events. The security patrol is a needed service and appreciated. The office staff especially Kai DeLano is helpful friendly & very knowledgeable. The wait for maintenance can be very frustrating as often we are told the repairs need to be approved by corporate or the repair is outsourced and you have to wait for vendor availability. The on call line is a joke. The roll over never is set up properly and to reach the weekend after hours person is never successful.

So far if has been great but I do feel this place is a little strict with rules. Like we aren't aloud to use a regular grill in our garage! Like we're all adults cmon now, and the garage is literally 100% concrete all the way around i think it would be just fine. Also there is some pretty noisy neighbors that like to rev there vehicles super late at night almost all the time.
