MAA 1225 is in the perfect location in South End. There are many restaurants and bars within walking distance. The Panthers stadium is also very close. If location is what you're looking for, look no further. MAA 1225 does have it's downsides just like every community does. The stairwells are full of cobwebs and trash. The hallways always reek of trash, animal waste, and mj. Residents fail to clean up after their pets. If you happen to move into an apartment that faces Winnifred Street, good luck. Cars haul up and down the street at all hours of the day. There is construction going on across the street so be prepared to get little to no sleep. When the wind blows, forget it. The parking garage makes an extremely loud and eerie whistle that is impossible to ignore. I would recommend this community to very young careless adults. Anyone with any sort of decency, look elsewhere because this place can be very draining.

I had a good time moving in. The apartment was nice and clean when I arrived and the leasing agent was super friendly and knowledgable. She showed me to my room and gave the tour, and explained everything I needed to know about the apartment which had a bunch of smart home accessories.

Everything is great plus the area being near everything is just very accessible and convenient. Maintenance is very quick to fix issues. The leasing agents are very professional and helpful as well, our process went really smooth and organized. I definitely recommend this place of you are looking into renting. ??????

Poor management and poor enforcement of community rules and standards. The value of the apartment and the location of it is great, but that should not equate to poor management. Tons of inconveniences that add up to annoyances - too much to put into a review. Just because the places don't cost over $1,800 in southend should not mean that the management should be poor. If you are paying what the management ~says~ they offer - including the community standards and rules in their lease - they should uphold those.

Great location and I love my apartment, and the amenities. Although, some of the residents are young and apathetic about picking up after themselves or their dogs. I often go into the parking garage, and right outside of the elevator there is someone that allows their dog to urinate on the mats...no where near grass or trees...lazy owners. I honestly feel worse for the dog.

It's gotten a lot better over the last year that I have lived here. They redid the floors in building two and painted the walls. Although the paint they used to paint the doors seems to be very easily scuffed off so it doesn't look quite as nice as it did when they first did it. It seems like overall the apartment complex is definitely cleaner than it was when I moved in although there's still some work to do. The hallways definitely smell less of trash, very in frequently is it noticeable. I do wish that they would enforce the valet trash policy a little bit more. People seem to leave their trash out at any hour of the day for any number of days. I'm not sure how hard it is for people to comprehend when they pick the trash up, when your trash should be out, and that there actually is a trash chute at the end of the hall if you need to take it out when there is no valet trash service.They upgraded the doors to keypad locks. The size of the apartment for the price and location is pretty reasonable given the cost of similar one-bedrooms in the area. It's the main reason that I moved in here. The office staff has always been very nice and helpful.

This place is terrible common areas dirty and smells terrible. Maintenance staff don’t work, sitting down on a bucket at the garage his name --------, ----- sleeping inside his car. The property manager sits on her --- all day and then tells you that if you don’t like the apartment to move out that the terrible paint job that it’s done is only cosmetic.

So far it's been good. Moving in was a bit tricky but once you're moved in the apartment is great. It's in a really good location and I'm super excited to get to know the area more! Would suggest to others. Only other thing to note is guest parking is limited.

Great spot to be in if new to the city. There's several bars, restaurants within walking distance that make it a breeze to meet up with friends. The pool during the summer is a great hangout spot before going out the rest of the evening. Apartment building is clean overall but the stairwells could use some work with stains that should be power washed to get rid of. The units themselves are spacious, with more then enough room to have a couple friends over.

Not very clean building. Changed their policy on packages where have to sign up with three external carriers to pick up packages at three different locations. This was completely unreasonable and unacceptable.

Good stuff in terms of locations, price. Occasionally the hallways smell, but I attribute that to the residents that live here, at a lower price point it skews towards new grads. Maintenance has been great, a bit annoying that we will no longer have Amazon deliveries. I've seen doors unlocked on the ground floor, and there being a pathway to the mail area without a key.

So far living here has been a lot of highs and lows. Neighbors can be loud, leaf blowing outside my window while Im trying to sleep, and dog crap everywhere outside. The maintenance team has been quick to respond to issues but not quick to find a solution.

The move in process was good once I got here, but the proof of income and getting approved was a very tedious process that shouldn't have taken as long as it did. The apartment was fairly clean except for a stain on the marble in the bathroom (not sure how you even stain marble) and the internet took a couple days to set up because something had to be done to turn on the Ethernet ports in the apartment by a technician.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The hallways look like a psych ward. There is constantly a nasty stench in the hallway. Shall I say- a lovely combination of dog poop, garbage and rotting food. I gag every time I leave my unit. Our dishwasher was broken for THREE months and management kept claiming "oh due to COVID the shipping has been delayed" and gave us absolutely no update. Really??? Everything in the unit is cheap. I'm sure we won't get our security deposit back due to the shady people in the leasing office. Management is the least bit helpful. They will nickel and dime you on your way out. My roommate's OWN car got towed from the parking deck and they refused to pay for it. I know they have the money for it considering they've taken all of ours for absolutely no reason. It's been a joke of an experience. Needless to say, I cannot wait to get out of here. Such a rip off, incompetent management, and GROSS facilities. Enjoy the dog poop in the hallways :) They won't clean it up.

Just moved in to 1225 staff was super nice and helpful over phone and in person. Apartment was clean and smelled new. Rooms were clean and looked freshly painted. So far so good! Hallways and elevators smell horrible, and the trash valet system seems stupid. Theres dog poop everywhere. But for the amount of bad reviews this place gets I'm very pleasantly surprised so far.

Love the location and price. Neighbors are nice and respectable. Only major problem is what everyone else has said. This place needs major upgrades. The halls are gross and the apartment quality is not good. I feel like I have to submit a work order at least once a week for maintenance to fix something because everything is always breaking or falling apart. If money is no issue, there are so many nicer places in southend to live.

The team was immensely friendly and helpful - all of my move in paperwork was ready when I arrived and they even provided suggestions on where to beat park the moving truck. However, the was general maintenance (caulking, repainting, etc.) that I had to request after having done an initial walkthrough of the until as well as some residual damage to permanent fixtures of the apartment (countertops, cabinets, tub) that also needs attention.
