Make sure you clean your place very well or you will end up owing
Make sure if you do rent here that your apartment is cleaned exceptionally immaculate. I ended up owing $1600 after my moveout, only living there for a year. There were a couple of spots on the carpet which could have easily been cleaned with a carpet cleaning service, but I decided to hold off. What a mistake that was. I was able to reduce this amount to about $900 but still, I shouldn´t really owe anything. Be careful about this, as I heard the same complaints from others as well.

Legacy Park Review
Legacy Park continues to offer competitve rental rates, good amenities, and quality service. I have never had any issues with service and all maintenance requests have been handled very prompty.

As with the news, the only things you hear are the whining, as those with good reviews are not online over-exaggerating and venting.

Staff
Sounds to me, per the last inquiry , that the staff has logged on and tried to cover their butts. I have lived here for going on 6 months and I refuse to stay here another second! I have refused to renew my lease, not because of the apartment or the lack of maintenance(The maint. Supervisor is very nice and helpful), But I will not renew because of the nasty, rude staff that seems to think I owe them something. I have paid my rent on time every month...No noise complaints at all..and still, they are rude to me. I go in for a package...rude. I go in to pay rent...rude. So, get over it and quit posing as a resident to try to make yourself look better...cause to all the real residents..there is no way you can!

A Positive Review
After reading the negative reviews, I decided to post my opinion.

First, I don’t think this site was intended to be a message board to vent one’s personal frustrations because of immaturity. There’s a reason for Renter’s Insurance; it’s for YOUR protection! The property staff and the lease agreement urge you to have it. Secondly, ANY apartment complex is like a “mega-department store” for a thief! Where else can they target so many unattended vehicles in one place? If you’re driving a car with all the post-factory accessories including the booming stereo, your car is probably the one that will be subject to larceny. Consider spending as much on that one annoying feature (which no one pays attention to anyway)…an alarm! Finally, concerning the juice bar, the word complimentary suggests it is there as a courtesy. I don´t think Legacy Park intended to serve breakfast everyday to their tenants. There are two McDonalds locations nearby. Both are only a mile away and serve breakfast until 10:30 am. Maybe you deserve a break today!

For the rest of us adults, Legacy Park has much to offer!

We were impressed the first time we drove on the property and were greeted by Susan. She was genuinely interested in us. She showed us around the clubhouse and all the amenities included therein. Then she showed the model unit for the apartment that best fit our needs. We felt no pressure to “hurry and sign a lease” as we had at other properties. Within a week, we returned to secure our unit.

It was a month and a half before we were able to leave our other property. But during that time, Susan was happy to allow us in our unit numerous times to look around, take measurements, and plan ahead for our move.

The day after our move, we had a family emergency and had to go out of town. We returned a week later. Every time I stopped in the office thereafter, Susan always offered her sympathy, and asked how we were doing and if everything was okay. Even to this day when I pay rent, staff members always ask if we have any problems in our unit.

We’ve only needed minor repairs – a damaged baseboard, realignment of the alarm sensor in the front door, a small leak after a heavy summer downpour, and the smoke detector. For each repair, I called Susan in the morning and the work order was completed that day! The only exception was the alarm sensor. The company who supplied the alarm systems is located in another city and it was only three days before they had the problem corrected.

The entire property is well maintained and groomed. My only complaints are the breezeways are overdue a pressure washing. However, I have not inquired about this. My other complaint is dog owners who do not pick up behind their pets. This is a policy included in the lease agreement and has been communicated in several flyers. Still, I watch my step while walking my dogs through the grassy areas.

Two other minor set backs are the dumpster being located at the front of the property. (You have to load up the car trunk just to take out the trash.) And, the car wash facility is mostly non-operational. When it is available, it does not drain properly leaving one to stand in a shallow pond while using the vacuum. (Last I checked; water and electricity were not a safe combination!)

Aside from these minor issues, Legacy Park is a very nice property with plenty to offer. It’s conveniently located to everything in the University area, I-77 & I-85, and Concord Mills mall. We´re happy living here and have renewed our lease for another year.

underrated and target for whiny people
after reading some of the reviews on this website i decided to add my two cents in. i have lived at legacy a year and a half and haven´t enjoyed a more comfortable living environment. a amenities, great floor plans,a ton of single ladies live here, what more can you ask for. as for the management team, i have been here thru all the change over, the first time management changed the property was sold to another management co. the second manager, although a very sweet and nice girl obviously was not the best or most experienced for the job. i feel sorry for the new manager in there because she has to take care of all the prior screw ups. as for maintenance, i hear they´ve had a few contruction issues that took a while to be resolved by the contr. company, but were always there in a pinch to help my neighbors in need. the service manager is the only one of the original management team left, so he must be doing something right! overall i love legacy and love the fact that i am living here.

LIAR LIAR Pants on fire-->grow up
Whoever this kid is doesn´t know what the hell he is saying. Don´t listen to some punk who couldn´t pay his rent and decided to move out and leave the bill to his friends. Hey all the stuff he said is BS. And you are dumb for drinking the juice after 1030 anyway. It is there for the morning people who want juice and a snack. He doesn´t live here anymore so the place is going to benefit from it. And his two friends are leaving soon, so Hoooooray! Ya know what.....? If you are old enough to pay your own rent, you should be mature enough to get stuff to the mngrs. directly and not lie to them about handing them a notice. Everything he said is heresay, and the management rocks here now that slack Lisa is gone and the people here actually do their jobs. If you are nice to people they are nice back to you. Lose the chip off your shoulder, A**

ZO

FABULOUS Place
Well, I have to say that I read the previous reviews and I can tell you that it is not the opinion of the majority of residents here at Legacy Park! I have lived here a little over a year now and I can tell you without hesitation that it is a GREAT place to live. The office staff is very professional and friendly. The community is very well kept and I have never had a maintanence problem go more than a couple of hours without being repaired. I have lived in many other apartments and you can tell that Cornerstone and the staff take alot of pride in what they do. I can assure you that you won´t be disappointed. It sounds like to me that the previous few who gave such a bad review probably didn´t get their way and therefore has taken out on the staff. YOU ONLY HEAR THA BAD SO I THOUGHT YOU LIKE TO HEAR THE GOOD!!!!!!

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!
This place is most pitiful excuse for an apartment complex...ever. Let´s see, management has changed 3 times since I moved in August of 2001. Juice bar...they hard sell this one does not get set up until 10:30, sorry working population...you´ll have to quit your job in order to drink warm juice (no telling how long this has been sitting on the bar) and week old muffins (is that green stuff supposed to be there..well free penicillin I guess). If you work out, bring your own towels because they are never laundered unless you do not mind recycling with everyone else. Ah the pool, not too bad unless you do not like domestic violence...in that case you probably will not want to frequent. I recall the police coming to my door several times to question me in regards to my neighbors. The crack staff maintenance staff is wonderful...well there was that one time my neighbors downstairs were forced to move out of the complex, which by the way they had to practically get a supreme court injunction to do...they didn´t really have a good reason (unless you think having your apartment flooded because of the poor construction (8914 building) and most of your valuables destroyed...which Legacy Park did not feel the need to help replace..."it´s not our problem" I was told by the neighbors...but nitpicking aside they´re grreeeaaat!!! But sarcasm aside this place is terrible...service, so-called amenities, construction...I could go on and on. Luckily, I am out now, thank goodness...which was ridiculous...they misplaced my 60 day notification (whoops), the girl I spoke to was let go (Lisa you rock!) They used her incompetence as a crutch...she was the smartest girl to wear their uniform, but they wouldn´t acknowledge a mistake on their part. But that is in the past but I´m making sure nobody I am associated with makes the same mistake...my roomie works for one of the first banks to ever be in the union and I work for some bank in America...we have sent out mass emails and posted flyers...sorry Legacy Park and Cornerstone...you will not receive repeat business. Thanks for the memories.

Suck service, my car stereo was stolen twice there!
I don´t recommend anyone to live here. I called them to report that my car stereo was stolen. They said I have to call the police because they are not a police department!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disgusting service
These apartment look reasonable on the surface, but are very cheaply made. Most of the doors have needed repairs as they don´t shut properly.

The staff are friendly, but if you have any problems expect a month (minimum) for it to be addressed.

My advice -- don´t do it. There are much better apartments in the area for a lowr price.

STANDARD PROBLEMS, BUT NO REGRETS
Legacy Park has been a decent place to live. Though overpriced for what they offer, (if you shop around, you´ll probably not wind up there), the community was nice compared to other apts of the same size. Some problems while here were: Car stolen. car was found, though...and I don´t blame Legacy...could have happened anywhere. Cars broken into, (not mine) stopped before it became a repetative problem. Ants and other bugs....but exterminated very promptly w/ no continuing problems.

Staff & service very nice and helpful. Neighbors polite. Buildings super-quiet. If you can afford it, it´s nice. But honestly, for the price your dollar´s probably better spent somewhere else.
