Close to everything, quiet neighborhood, easy access to everything, the neighbors are friendly. If something needs done it's done in a reasonable amount of time. The office staff are friendly and tend to any concerns in a timely fashion.

    My experience has been good, anytime I have an issue the office manager always addresses it.anytime I have a problem in my apartment maintenance is always prompt, I'll be here 3 years next year, I think this community is a great place to live because of our office manager Tequila, she is always understanding and genuine.

      Worse Apartment

      First, if you plan to pay the refundable deposit you better take pictures of each corner of the apartment on the move in day or otherwise good luck on getting them back. Second, you will be asked to pay a fee each month which includes security patrol, but then if you got arm robbed in the community which happened to me. They will just say sorry to you. I guess that explains why I see so many people in the neighborhood carry weapon around. Oh, btw the office staffs and the up managers will just cover up each other, if you try to argue with them, they will shut the office door on you. So good luck staying there.

        The price of the apartment does not match the quality of the apartment. I suggest thoroughly checking the apart during the walkthrough before moving in. By far not a quality apartment complex for them to be so expensive.

            Roach and Mold Infestation; Currently Pursuing Refund & Exit From Lease

            I moved in September 3, 2022. That same week we found dead and living roaches in the kitchen and several other rooms of the 3 bedroom apartment. The staff first dismissed it as "waterbugs," and only acknowledged the infestation that they were clearly aware of ...after I reminded them that I'm a Scientist. Waterbugs are a very different "thing" than roaches. More disturbing, the office staff has projected this attitude of agitation in responding to my service requests and inquiries regarding the fitness of the unit. Within a month, I discovered mold spores, similarly to another tenant's review. I reported it, and again the staff maintained the same unfounded attitude. Only after asserting legal relief have they begun to address these issues. However, they committed a material breach: failed to disclose the true condition of the unit. Because I now live "in fear" of roaches, I inspect walls and floors while navigating the unit, and then discovered indentions in the ceiling and poorly done paint jobs to "repair" water damage. I brought this to the management's attention, and requested full disclosure about the history of water damage at this unit and ... 3 weeks later, they still have not provided full disclosure nor an update. I've had to request Pest Control services for the past 3 weeks, having most recently requested another follow up spray because I saw a roach last night in my tub. Roaches and mold are demonstrative of major underlying issues with this property. The management has been so dismissive about it by iterating that they are working on it. However, the biggest issue is that they owed me a duty to disclose the true fitness of the unit BEFORE I moved in. They breached the duty they owed me, and apparently they subjected other unknowing tenants like me as well. I'm digusted. I don't buy anything else to put in the unit. I hate that my property is here now. I experienced mold infestation at 2 different properties in Charlotte, and I will not tolerate being subjected to this again.

                I have reported black mold in this apartment and nothing has been done about it. The employees who work in the front office don't seem interested in fixing the problem. Mold is very dangerous and should be taken seriously when it is identified in the home, not just sprayed over.

                Staff is always helpful and pleasant whenever you meet them on the premises of come inside of the office to handle any apartment issues. I use the pool throughout the summer season, and it's always clean and sanitized.

                  The only thing I like about this apartment is the location. The apartments are old and there is a pest control issue. I had to purchase products to try and control the issue even after pest control came out.

                    This was the worst move in experience I've ever had. We found at least 20 or more nails and screws embedded into the carpet, one of which I pulled out of my foot. The whole apartment has spots that wasn't painted, the main door has a gap between the door and the wall that has no insulation, and the entire building has no lights. We told the leasing office about these issues multiple times and they haven't made any effort to fix these issues. Overall I regret signing a lease to stay here at MAA Legacy Park.

                      The staff is absolutely amazing. I went on my apartment search for 5+ months, toured/contacted many places and MAA Legacy Park was by far the most welcoming, accommodating, friendly staff. I witnessed how well they work as a team to be there for their community. They truly made my move run as smoothly as possible. The only downside I can comment in that the apartment was given to me under horrendous conditions. It took 2 days of EXTENSIVE cleaning to make it inhabitable. I understand that isn't necessarily the office staff's fault. However, it was frustrating to have to take those extra steps and not be able to be given the keys to an even moderately clean apartment.

                        Nice… but pests

                        I really like the complex setup. Everyone is super nice, the office staff, maintenance and residents. The location is great for me. I like the actual apartment a lot as well. But… roaches. I saw a review about roaches and hoped it was an isolated issue. My neighbors and I all have fruit flies and cockroaches, which are almost impossible to get rid of. The complex is really trying to get in under control… but multi unit housing is difficult because the pests will just move between units, eventually returning. It’s been a little over 2 months, killed over 2 dozen roaches and countless fruit flies. Bonus: my reflexes are improving?

                          It's ok to many big pets and the neighbors allow the big pets, to use the bathroom all over the grounds. If you are on the ground floor; huge pets live above the apartment they make lots of noise. I feel it should be a weight requirement regarding pets. Also weed smoke coming through the vents. The community could be better.

                            Outside of units were better maintained. Now leaves are blown under bushes and not raked and carried away. I have to rake up the leaves blown onto my patio and discard them which I have recently stopped doing. The entrance walkway is blown to get rid of Leaves but trash bags and dead bugs are not reported for removal.

                              Very little interaction on our part, but the community is a little bit noisy and uncomfortable. There are a lot of suspicious people that hang around the community taking part in pool activities and drugs. There is also a huge issue with people throwing trash in the community and right at our door.

                                MAA is a great community to live in. The people mind their business and they are friendly. I feel safe walking around at night with my dog and I don't worry about my car. The administrative staff and maintenance crew are respectful at all times and go out of the way to make your living experience comfortable. Some of the house rules as it relate to paying rent, late charges and eviction should be more flexible for people on fixed income and hardship that come about in daily life.

So therefore I will not be renewing my lease, and if I could break it I would!!! That's how bad they are above me!!! And i don't like the parking!!!

                                        From what I could tell the community very quiet and clean. Our neighbors are friendly and have already introduced themselves . The amenities are nice as well . One thing coming from NY we wish we would have known was that it's important to have a pool year round and this community doesn't. We had to pay to go to a pool because our first few days have been in the 90's.

                                            very good community, well maintained very good friendly helpful management, very responsive, fixed problems in one day. community is in good location, only if the community had few more amenities like a pressure wash, a small outdoor gym etc and the apartments need some upgrade.
