My family and I have been living at the Arboretum Apartments for 3 months. The Office Staff has been very polite and always willing to assist us in our needs. We enjoy the benefits this wonderful neighborhood brings us such as: quietness, beautiful scenery, shopping, banks, gas stations, movie theaters, restaurants, bus transportation for saving gas and money. For those who have pets this is a pet friendly neighborhood. Most of all great schools.

I moved here in late november and have loved living here! The management is very helpful, prompt about responding to maintenance issues, and extremely friendly. The facilities are great, and the neighborhood feels very safe and is quiet. Lastly, the location is exceptional. They are also very dog friendly.

We moved here too and it's very good to have the shopping-center, schools and hospitals near by.The apartments do need a spring over-haul indeed.The service when i need it's there. The only thing is all these illegal parking cars because high-school is just across the street.So strange kids and cars are coming in the morning to park,for free. Then the dogs or better the owner.They leave the poop all over.A few people pick it up. Then another thing is the trash.There was a huge container full for the hole week.No cleaning around it and people just throwing trash all over.Then on friday it got cleaned. It took them almost 5 days...and we drove by it everyday.What a picture.

We moved to this apartment before 3 weeks from California. We like this apartment very much. It's very spacious and located near shopping, hospital and banks. Very good school district. Public transport is nearby. If there had been a childre play area it would have been excellent.

I have moved to this community 3 months back. This place has easy access to Arboretum shopping complex which is very close and good connectivity to Down Town. I am new and do not have a car and would prefer for people who want to have access to Walmart, Harris Treeter for groceries and a number of options for restaurants. My neighbors are very friendly and it is pretty quiet around here, though I can hear my neighbor upstairs because they walk very heavy footed. Safety-wise it seems to be pretty safe. I mean I don't feel intimidated to walk around at night alone. Overall, for the size of my apartment, the service and the price, this is the best deal around! The leasing office staff is very friendly and hard working. They constantly go out of their way to make living here as enjoyable and stress free as possible.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT !!!!!!! STAY AWAY !!! Simpsons Management was awesome and we were so happy for so long. It's a great location and a community with nice neighbors. But, the leasing office people are making it impossible to stay here !!! They are RUDE every time you walk-in to talk to them. I had a three work order requests for maintenance and they troubled me so much over it. After weeks when I went to ask them about it, they said they never received any work order from me!! A girl wrote down my issues again. Weeks past, again, the same excuse!!! I am soooo pissed !!!! Then they said they couldn't get in touch with me. Then they said they have a lot of work burden. Simpons NEVER SAID THAT to any resident. Within 2 days, every maintenance was taken care of always! I keep giving them benefit of the doubt, but another girl in the office behaved absolutely rudely to me recently and wrote my maintenance request on a "post-it" note. That's what they do. They'll write it and lose it and say, you never logged a complaint. It's unbearable now. On repeated requests, she didn't file my issue saying it will be taken care of. I can guarantee this will be another "lost work order". And now I had the movers drop advertisements on my door because I am 3 MONTHS away from the date my lease will be up. I didn't tell them I am leaving or renewing and they already put my apartment up for vacancy! Two families have already moved out because of the frustration and increased rent prices for existing residents. I know two more families who are planning to move out. It's probably time for me to consider as well.

I recently moved here and everyone in the front office was so helpful in trying to get us approved. I love my apartment, and I feel very safe in the complex. Everything I would need is 30 seconds away, and it is very close to my boyfriends and I's work. I want to live here for a long time.

I really love the layout of these apartments. The staff is friendly, kind and really helpful. We really enjoy living here! The only weirs thing is gas heat...but other than that, this place is really nice. It's within walking distance of an amazing shopping center that has so much to offer.

They did not send me statement for 80 days....I have raised a consumer complaint in BBB.. and the cheats are saying that I never provided a forwarding address :-) :-).... shame on these liers.... If BBB doesnt resolve this issue, I will escalate to Small Claims court...Folks.. please ask acknowledgment and copy of any documents like moveouts etc.. that you submit to this management...It will come handy.. take pics and videos of every nook and corner when you move out.... I never did that thinking they are decent like the Simpson group management...

The apartment itself is great. The community is very safe and well kept. The amenities are luxurious as well. However, maintenance needs improvements. They are extremely backed up and takes over a month for them to complete a simple request.

I love living at The Arboretum! I moved to the area for a new job from out of state. My employer recommended the area because it very safe, and has all of the necessary shopping within walking distance while also being located in the south suburbs. It was also an important location in regard to distance from uptown. The complex itself is a fantastic community, so many dedicated young professionals live here. I can tell that residents feel comfortable in the community because they enjoy going for peaceful evening strolls along the sidewalk or enjoying the pool/tennis courts. Everyone is so respectful and quiet. I have not heard loud car stereos or televisions in the apartments. The grounds are very well kept. I also recommended a new colleague check them out as a great place to start roots in Charlotte.

I have been staying here for almost an year now with my family & recently renewed my lease for another year. Our stay has been pleasant so far with good apartment facilities & friendly management. Management is always ready to help & fix the issues as quickly as they can. It is stone's throw away to a major shopping center, schools, hospitals & what not. I strongly recommend this to anyone who is looking for calm & peaceful community. The only point I am personally not very happy is with the trash charges which are over $35. Except that best community I could had found in South Charlotte.

My husband and I moved to The Arboretum about two months ago. The office staff makes us feel right at home and very welcome. They are always so friendly and always willing to help when it is needed. The maintenance stuff is hard working and always does a wonderful job. The few small problems we have had maintenance always fixes them within a few days! We have a small dog and she loves having so much grass to run and play in. The landscaping is always beautiful with so many trees and flowers. There are so many families always outside playing and walking. We love having all the amenities, the pools are great in the summer. We also are very happy having so many shopping and restaurant options right across the street. We feel right at home and are happy to be living here. We would recommend to everyone!

I moved down to North Carolina a little over a month ago with no prior knowledge of the area. When I first came to look at the apartments, I was overwhelmed by how kind and welcoming the sales managers were. Right away I felt comfortable. They were on top of everything and got back to me very quickly. As soon as I saw the apartment, I knew this was where I wanted to live. Not to mention, the pool, gym and lounge make you feel like you're at a resort! And I didn't even know how great the location was until after I moved in. Everything is so close, and only a 20 minute drive from the city. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone. I love my new apartment and I couldn't be happier.

It is worst maintenance apts.Do not ever rent here.Every morning I wake up and find my bath tub filled with dirty stinking water which fills up from bottom hose. Also the toilet seat doesn't flush. These guys can't make a permanent fix ! My house stinks! There are moths and flies outside my home and they don't care. Don't ever rent here.

Location, Location, Location! I have really enjoyed living at the Arboretum Apartments so far! It is close to shops and schools, but not so close that you feel like you are in the city of Charlotte. My church, Uptown, grocery store, work, and the mall are all less than 20 minutes away. The landscaping is gorgeous all the time, the privacy due to the layout of the buildings is fantastic. There are great walking routes nearby as well. The staff at the Arboretum have been helpful and very pleasant to work with. Overall, a great place to live!

I have been living here for one and half years and it was the best place to live until owned by Simpson properties. Once the management changed, its one of the worst place to live. The new management has changed its leasing rules and has also overpriced their 600sqft apts. The overprice could have been overlooked had they been good with her servicing. these apts being very old need constant servicing with their appliances and utilities, which was very well looked after by simpson properties. But the new managed is very rude, and do not respond to any queries for weeks, even after constant reminder calls. we have been struggling with various broken knobs for weeks and now are planning to look for better homes.

I currently live in a 2 BR/ 2.5 bath with loft space. The size of the apartment is wonderful, especially for what we are paying. Yes, the company just switched over but so far they seem to be pleasant to work with and are here to help us. The location is ideal because you can get to uptown in less than 20 minutes, but aren't living in the hectic area of Charlotte. It is a very quiet and safe community.

Overall, it's a good place to live in a very good location for commuters. Sure, you are going to pay more, but if you like to be in walking distance of 90% of your needs, it's worth it. You will also save a great deal on gas, if you decide to use mass transit. I save roughly $200 a month on gas and parking. The grounds are well kept and free of litter. Everyone is quite mature here, so I really need to commend the residents for doing their part in keeping everything clean. There are two tennis courts that are used quite often, indoor/outdoor pools, a nice community center w/ Wi-Fi, and a workout room with a good mix of machines. I do want to say that the workout room has flat panel televisions situated around the cardio machines. It's the best I've seen on a property that I have lived at. The residents are a diverse mix of families and mature professionals for the most part. Maybe I have just gotten lucky, but I have to admit that I have not come across a single resident that was unpleasant or that made me feel uneasy. Everyone is down to earth too, so I feel that I can have a conversation with anyone. I will say that the property did change hands, but I have not had any real issue. My first service request with the new team was taken care of very quickly. Everyone on the team is very nice and real, and my rent did not skyrocket like it had at other properties that changed hands. I will be here for quite some time if things remain true to the current path.

Don't go here NOW MANAGEMENT HAS BEEN CHANGED AND THEY ARE VERY BAD & RUDE IN EVERY ASPECTS. I am living here for 3 years now I've packed my all stuff to go forever. I am a current resident at the Arboretum Apartments. I could not be more pleased with the outstanding customer service that is provided by the entire staff, maintenance included. Whenever I have had an issue, no matter what it is, they have always solved it in a timely manner. I highly recommend this apartment community and will most definitely be renewing my lease in December. It is also very close to lots of shops and restaurants. Which is a nice bonus to an already great living environment. Tim
