One of the best apartments in charlotte. Apartment staff responds so quickly and take required actions for any issue/problem. And The shopping mall is very near to the apartments.

This place is very convenient to shopping, restaurants, movies. It is a nice area to live at. All the staff have been really great and they always act immediately when I put my maintenance order in. I have a lovely apartment and my patio is so relaxing. I have been impressed how they keep the lawn cut all summer. Only thing I would recommend is putting out more flowers. And also, putting more outdoor lighting in some parking areas. Overall a great place to live.

Pros: Location, location, location! Despite the heavy rush hour traffic, I just resigned my lease primarily because of its convenient location. I have a movie theater, Harris Teeter, Walmart, horizon eye-care, urgent care, pharmacy, 10+ restaurants, and gas station within 1/2 a mile. The office staff is extremely courteous and always responds promptly to emails. The neighborhood is quiet after 10 PM and it's safe enough to take a late night walk. Lastly, most of the apartments are newly upgraded. Cons: Over the winter the indoor pool and hot tub were closed for almost 2 months. They are constantly under repair. The outdoor pool didn't open until the weekend after Labor Day. Drive very, very slowly between 3-7 PM because there are tons of kids running around the parking lots. Kids are great but frustrating when I'm just trying to get home.

I have been living here for about 5 years. The walkability factor for this place is awesome and that is the primary reason I have stayed. Also a very pet friendly lace. The staff have gone through a lot of changes in these 5 years and ownership has changed at least once. However, the present staff seems to be genuinely interested in being helpful to residents.

I have just moved into this community. The supporting staffs are good and courteous. Though apartments are little old still in good condition. Lawn and outdoor could be better. Hopefully will have a good experience in coming days.

Living here since June 2016, short period. Overall experience is good. Close to all facilities (shopping/walmart/medical/school). Staffs are good and helpful. I have never had any problem with staffs and the maintenance guys are also professional. Very easy to get public transport. The only down side I feel is, they need to clean the area specially near the houses more often. You can find lots of insects/roaches near house and if you are on first floor then close your door all the time. Cant say about safety, its an open community, but I had no issues as of now and none that I heard of. If you are planning to live here, you can have a visit and see it for yourself and decide.

Long story short, They don't fix anything. if you want them to fix something, you will have to be there multiple times and convince them to just put work order in the book. They will write on piece of paper (Sticker note) and will not put it in "work order" book.

Its a good community, however due to stqff changing there is a slow resolution for the issues raised. But they are fixed.

I live in The Arboretum Apartments from 2016-2017 while they were still owned by The Connor Group. I called maintenance all the time and things either took forever to be fixed or were fixed well enough to work for a couple of days before breaking again. I had a roach problem and even though pest control came multiple times, it didn't completely end. There were also roaches outside on the walkways at night. Pet owners didn't pick up after their dogs, so the grounds would be littered with poop. There's not enough lighting outside of the buildings and it's therefore really dark. There were car break ins when I lived there. The kids playground was, for some reason, set up right beside the garbage. Trash is only taken twice a week. My ceiling ended up getting a leak because someone left the water running in the unit above me and when they came to fix my roof, no one bothered to cover or move my things. The water temperature was either lukewarm or scalding hot. The backsplash in my kitchen popped off one night while I was sitting on my couch. Also, while you're allowed to have pets, they definitely charge you or just keep your initial deposit when you leave saying they kept it because of the carpet. I steam cleaned my carpets before moving out and they refused to return my deposit. The carpets were old when I moved in. And I know a lot of other people who moved out and said they weren't given their deposits back. When I left, almost everyone in my building had moved out because they hated it so much. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live. There's nothing "luxury" about these apartments. AND THEY GIVE GIFT GARDS TO PEOPLE WHO WRITE REVIEWS.

The services and community have been on a steady decline since current ownership took over. Service is slow, maintenance is slower. The community used to be picked up every day, now litter is strewn about the entire complex and never picked up unless residents pick it up. Lawn maintenance is poor as they do not put out pine straw in the beds as often as in the past and looks bad. Services have been reduced (trash pick up from 3 time a week to 2), yet fee's have risen. One would think ownership would want to maintain good residents, yet, they increase rent yearly at an astronomical percentage. Not a good ownership group, not to mention it is an investment group which will be selling the property once they have completed the "upgrades" Exterior painting has been completed recently and the colors are hideous as noted by visitors to the property. Kids play in the parking lot at night which is dangerous as no playgrounds are offered. One day, I fear there will be a child hit by a car due to the negligence of the ownership group and parents who allow this. On a good note, the location is great!

Being that the apartment complex rental right is high you would think that the property gives something worth the rent you are paying. The trash pick up for furniture that residents place by the dumpster is a MESS; literally. Maintenance does nothing to stack it neatly at all. You ride pass and it is like you are are looking at trash on the street. There are any animals around and people rarely pick up the feces. You rarely see landscapers on the property, but when you do it is not a good job. The bugs are horrendous within the apartment and outside the apartment. An exterminator comes out but it never solves the problem and on top of that I had to use pesticide within the home. No one should have to kill off bugs that much. The buildings needs to pressure washed badly. The grassy area to walk to the pool is not appealing or well kept. Parking, oh my goodness, do not have a nice car or you are doomed. The parking is very tight and limited. The apartments that have not been renovated need an uplift greatly. The appliances are old and don't function as good as they should. Requested them to be check twice and and maintenance has yet to come in to inspect or swap them out. Windows get moisture around the seal badly. God forbid you have a neighbor that smokes you can smell it within your place. You hear everything from your neighbors such as conversations, people having sex, people walking, creeks of the floor and it is even more clear and heard at night when everything is quiet. As you come up the stairs within your building you are able to hear if someone taking a shower; the walls are very thin. There is no laundry facility. You do have the option of renting washer and dryer from them for $45 a month. There is much more but I will say just one more thing. Traffic in the morning is terrible to get out the neighborhood. Why? Students who attend Providence High School across the street use our neighborhood as a turnaround so you wait at the light for a long time when you need to make a right onto Pineville-Matthews Rd. Trust me the rental payment is not worth it AT ALL. Providence Court is MUCH BETTER and worth the money.

The location is perfect. So close to everything, but far enough away from uptown to avoid extreme traffic. Will say they are just a bit more pricey than I would usually pay for a small, not updated apartment. Overall, I have had good experiences here. If you are looking for a place close to town and work, and don't mind living in a very basic apartment it would be a good fit.

Office seemed disorganized initially when I didn't receive my outdoor closet keys on day of move-in. However, they've always been friendly and helpful when an issue came up. They were very accommodating when I renewed my lease after a year and needed a shorter lease duration. The parking lot and walkway to my building is darker than I'd like. Grounds and Pools are nice and clean.

My husband and I have lived at Arboretum Apartments since 2014. I won't lie and say that it's always been easy. Our apartment had a lot of issues and we got very lte responses on them. But in the end, the staff always made it work and we always were happy with the fixes. I love the open area that we can walk through and the neighbors are so nice! I would recommend living here.
