Hit or miss experience. Wasn't initially pleased as a new resident. Grounds are nice and they try their best to take care of them but it's unfortunate because residents don't feel the need to pick up their dog waste. Super dog friendly community but residents need to do better themselves.

It is an amazing community and you will LOVE living here. The office staff was great at getting the lease started. The maintenance staff is very knowledgeable and very attentive to detail. The concierge/security team will make sure you're taken care of 24.7

Really glad I moved in to this place after touring earlier this year (from out of town). Everything has been really smooth, perfectly clean apartment (no grime, build-up, etc; even though you will sometimes find that at even the highest-end communities anywhere), and really incredible amenities. This is the first time I've ever felt that I'm not losing something by living in an apartment. Complementary coffee from the in-house Barista is my life-blood (Barista Mark is EXCELLENT), and the cross-training style gym is easily the best private apartment community gym in Charlotte. Do yourself a favor and look here FIRST in your next apt search.

I couldn't love this place more. Amazing staff, great amenities, really great apartment finishes. Barista Mark and Stanley the Concierge are some of the absolute best in particular! If you're in Charlotte this is the best you can get unless you move into a custom-built single-family home or condo. So until that day, don't waste your time anywhere else. I definitely recommend it!!!

The Village front office or leasing office will not be helpful during your stay. The Village does prioritize new residents coming in or touring, rather than the current residents that pay to live here.

It's been an amazing experience, hasn't fallen short of any of my expectations. The rent is where it's supposed to be because the amenities make up for it. I would recommend this place to all my friends.

Great location and awesome staff. Location is great. Each unit is unique and in excellent condition. I love the amenities and the space. I look forward to a possible move in date soon. Hopefully before the winter months.

While the amenities at this community are great, sometimes the basic accommodations are overlooked. The maintenance team does the absolute best, however it is clear when they are overloaded. When there is trouble with appliances, the leasing office tends to go dark and communication is minimal. Supply chain problems are clearly out of the managements control, but communication and the service provided to the residents is something that can be controlled and this should be more of a focus.

Don't be fooled by the pretty pools and gyms. The customer service here is awful. Be sure to read reviews from people that live in the community. A lot of the reviews are written by employees and people who only toured the property.

The Village at Commonwealth is a really great find. You wouldn't know it's there from the main road, but that's one of its greatest advantages. Great finishes and apartment quality, but the amenities are top notch. They have a Cafe with complementary Barista service--- Mark the Barista KILLS it! Incredible drinks and seasonal menu. Nya in the leasing office is also really great (ask for her). Also a cross-training style gym with outdoor yard, I've never seen anything like it at an apartment community before. Definitely check it out!

This is a great community with top notch amenities, I feel I get great value for the price. The staff are very knowledgeable and always eager to solve any problem you have. So glad I chose The Village at Commonwealth when I relocated from California.

Amenities offered are great, neighborhood is very walkable and fun. Rent is a bit high if you are not able to attend events but embrace the amenities and it is worth the price! Staff is very knowledgeable and professional always!

We had a difficult time moving in. Our mailbox key was incorrect, we were only given one set of house keys, and we weren't told about parking decals so our car was booted the morning after we moved in and office did not have the boot removed for two days. The facilities and new dog park are very nice. Our washer dryer has been broken for most of the time that we have lived here. Maintenance has come to fix it several times but the screws keep flying out and the machine Sparks when you start it, or doesn't start at all. The maintenance team, concierges, and barista folks are very friendly and professional. We also moved in after a current resident referred us. We let the leasing office know on our application that we had been referred and they confirmed, but it has now been three months and they won't give the resident their referral reward ($500) as promised. They first said we didn't tell them about the referral, and then that it was a tech issue and could take months to fix. The apartment is beautiful and we love the kitchen, but it is hard to justify paying the same rent we paid in Manhattan for such glaring issues with the rental arrangement. Proximity to the park is excellent for dog owners.

The most enjoyable place to live in Charlotte, hands down! Commonwealth has all your daily necessities within the community, which is connected to the Plaza-Midwood neighborhood just perfectly enough to be walking distance but also separated from the crowds and nightlife. I've lived here for almost a year and have had nothing but great experiences. Nya in the office, Jason in maintenance, Stanley concierge, and Mark the barista make this such a welcoming atmosphere. By the way, free coffee with barista service? Yes, please! Come give it a look!

I love this place already! I got to visit my friend at the Village at Commonwealth this past week, so I feel like I got an insider's view, and it's easily the best I've seen in Charlotte. The staff are all so sweet, the apartment finishes are really sleek, and the resident amenities aren't like anything else I've seen. Tour their gym and you'll see. Also I love the complementary barista service- Mark and Abbey are great! Every community has their issues, but I've found it's about the little things, which this community focuses on everywhere (that I could see). Definitely give them a look!

Tiyane Clarke was amazing, very informative, attentive, and very welcoming. She actually sold me on personality alone, but also on showing me everything well. Hopefully I will be a new community member soon.

I absolutely love living at the village at commonwealth. All the amenities are amazing, and the property is beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful with getting me settled in and making me feel comfortable. Nya and Ginette went above and beyond for me and made my experience wonderful.

I've really loved living here. Everyone is super nice, especially Michael the concierge and Mark the barista, who makes the best cortado ever (free barista service for residents and guests, by the way). Check it out!

The amenities in this community are amazing and the company clearly works to get a lot of activities and events going in the community. However, you will be just another number here where they work to drain you of your money. Energy pay is inconsistent. The leasing office is horrible and does not resolve any issues. This is not an understatement when I say they do not resolve issues. Valet trash is offered, but is sporadic and not dependable. You will be charged when they decide to not pick up your trash as well, per bag! Cars are broken in to, as well as towed and booted consistently. Parking is scarce. At the end of the day, if you want to spend a lot of money to live in a decent place in Plaza Midwood, The Village is for you!

LOVE living here! Very glad I made the leap. The events, the responsive staff, the free coffee, it's all here. Sabrina the Concierge is my absolute favorite, and Mark the Barista makes my day (and makes very delicious espresso)! If you're on the fence, give yourself a little nudge, you'll be glad you did.

I've loved living at this spot. Really nothing else like it (unless you go to Miami or something). Complementary barista service (Mark! What a character), and always something going on for neighbors to mingle. Killing it. Makes you not even need to walk 2 mins away to Plaza-Midwood. Check em out!

The Management of this property is awful. Every simple request requires numerous attempts via email, phone and in person to get resolved, and often times the issues don’t get resolved at all. Maintenance people come and go as they please with no notice…they just barge in if you can’t answer the door because you are working despite repeatedly asking for a heads up. One day I was vacuuming and I look up to see a Maintenance man standing in my home looking at me. I almost had a heart attack. I pay over $3,000 a month and use window air conditioners because they can’t get the hvac working properly for over two years. All they care about is getting more tenants rather than taking care of the ones they have. I gave up home owndership for less responsibility but it’s not worth the nonsense we’ve had to deal with. Back to home ownership it is. We were overpaying for convenience and all we got were headaches.

Wanted to love it, but the others are right. Management is awful. Things happen and if they do, management will definitely let you down when looking to them for help in a complex situation. Ginette in the office did not care about my complaint. She lacked empathy and any concern. I highly recommend going to a complex/apartment with better management.

My background is in residential property management (specifically apartment complexes similar to the village) and I cannot say enough great things about this property and the management staff. I was so impressed with the customer service, efficiency, and friendliness of everyone I met on the team especially Adam. Adam went above and beyond to help make the village my new home. You can tell how much the staff has pride in their property though the amazing events that the host for their residents. I cannot believe how great this place is and I’m so sad I didn’t move here the first day I moved to Charlotte. I am so impressed with this staff and property and would give my highest recommendation!

Beautiful apartment community (plus townhomes). There are SO MANY amenities, the gyms are huge and the staff is so thoughtful/ helpful. Plus I love all the events. Highly recommend. Pet owners must apply
