I absolutely love my new home! I cannot thank Tre enough for all his help in making this decision. I could tell he truly cared about getting me the home I wanted (identifying my "must haves" and helping me rank pros/cons of different units). The Village at Commonwealth is a beautiful community and I've enjoyed living here for 3 years. I have lived in several other communities in Charlotte and no other communities have brought the residences together like this place does. There are a ton of amenities and it is a great place to make new friends. The location is great having Veteran's Memorial Park bordering the community, Harris Teeter is a short walk, and there are a ton of breweries and restaurants within walking distance.

Being new to the Charlotte area, I was afraid it would be difficult meeting people outside of my work environment. Moving to the Commonwealth community was as nothing short of an excellent decision! Everyone thus far has been so friendly, helpful, and welcoming! I can't wait to see what this summer has in store.

So far we love it. It really does feel like a little village. All of the amenities are awesome and the staff are prompt and very helpful. We would recommend this community to anyone looking in Charlotte. It has been our best apartment since moving here 4 years ago.

We just moved in and have been here for about a week. The service on maintenance and concerns is extremely fast and convenient. The barista service is top notch. The concierge and how packages are delivered and tracked are awesome. So far so good and we are pleased with our choose of the villages.

Community is nice and complex is nice. Takes forever for a maintenance request to be completed. Events are ok but would rather the money be spent on adding to amenities such as sun shades in the dog park or a dog wash.

When I first moved in, it wasn't great. I had 10 different issues with the slider blinds (wrong size ordered, installed poorly, bad quality) but finally got it right. I also asked to transfer to a diff unit due to a lot of reasons and simply being unhappy and was denied saying I had to wait 6 months to transfer which isn't ideal since you still have to pay the $700 fee. I like the community and have friends who live there which is why I've stayed but not very happy

Just moved in!

So happy with my experience here so far. Tre’ and Adam have been so helpful along with the rest of the staff. Such a friendly environment and beautiful landscaping i am beyond happy and grateful for this gem of a complex. This is by far the best complex in Charlotte. It’s not just a complex it’s a community.

I have loved living in my apartment but do not feel like management and office staff value the quality of living for residents and instead place more value on recruiting new residents and scheduling the many activities and events that are available. Most maintenance requests that we have placed have not been addressed properly. We went months without an operating microwave despite multiple requests, caulking near the sink was done very poorly, and concerns about mold were addressed poorly as well. The community has a lot to offer but I do wish more emphasis was placed on properly addressing maintenance concerns.

Concierge and barista coffee bar are the best perks! Maintenance (James) is extremely responsive and very friendly. Highly recommend living here with all the perks and community amenities (including two pools and fitness centers)!

Great community with many high end amenities and great maintenance. The apartments are very nice however they are not cheap. Main concern is massive rent increases and lack of a 2 year lease option may cause you to need to move quickly. I would recommend living here. There are fun community events as well and I love the location

Targeted

Management is targeting the black tenants. I recently had a major repair done in my apartment that took several months to complete due to a roof leak. Management handled the completion of that poorly; lacked communication etc. Today I received an email that someone is monitoring me and reported that I have an illegal pet in my residence. I forwarded via email all documents showing that I added both my pets to the lease when I first moved here. Today I also received a notice for a trash violation that did not occur. There are several tenants that continuously leave bags of trash around throughout the bldg, but I committed a violation that you the office is unaware of yourself, okay!. The leasing office could not verify why I received the violation or what day the violation occurred. I feel that we are being targeted and watched. Staff also lives throughout the complex and make false reports to management watching the tenants every move. The rent here is not cheap, but its being made to feel that way because of how we are continuously being treated. And of course higher management is never in the office to discuss said matters.

I've had an ok experience living here. I've had issues with maintaining the buildings such as an entry door lock being broken for over a year. Some of the property looks a little run down, especially compared to some other apartments in Charlotte. I probably won't renew. Maintenance staff is always nice. Office staff could be better with follow through.

Great space and community. Constant turnover in staff makes it difficult to communicate over time. Facilities and management works hard. Love our neighborhood, but we're getting priced out for the value. Sad to move.

The concierge and maintenance crew are great, but the leasing office is subpar. The biggest turnoff we have is the homeless situation that they have not been able to figure out. A homeless couple walks up and down and sleeps in the complex, open containers, and extremely loud. We pay way too much for this to be a problem here.

For the most part good. There are lots of maintenance issues (more than normal), and there is lots of mold in our building. Our building could use lots of upgrades, including a thorough inspection of mold accumulation. Other than that, the staff is responsive and provides lots of support to the tenants. The concierge is on an effective rotation that works for us, and I don't participate in many events (I am very busy) the social life, location, and safety are stellar.
