This has been two and a half years of superior service all around. Courteous staff with a high sense of urgency, maintenance staff is on point and timely. They have recently added a barista complementary service in the mornings, brilliant idea and very well manned by Lady Yo. May want to keep a good eye on competitor rates in the area and not get out priced. To the staff of The Village of Commonwealth a sincere thanks for all you do. Best Regards, Dennis W

I really enjoyed living at VAC. The staff was always friendly, professional, and prompt. I had to move from Charlotte for business. Needless to say, I was sad to leave because I loved living here that much. I recommend VAC to anyone looking in the Charlotte area!

The apartment, community and amenities were amazing BUT the office is another issue. My roommate had a phone conversation with them where he told them we wouldn't be renewing in 60 days and they made it seem as if that covered the need to submit a written notice. Turns out it didn't and the office is charging us for an extra month. When asked if they could put our apartment up for rent early they rudely said that they'd have to do that for everyone then; clearly helping tenants out is not part of company policy. I know for a fact other apartment complexes work to help out their tenants with similar issues. They did lower the month to month for December but that doesn't help me since I'm on the road for work and it doesn't fully resolve an issue they created in the first place by misleading us. They emailed the 60 day notice with a nondescript subject, which promptly got lost with their weekly emails and an overflowing inbox. They never put a notice in the mailbox or in our door. Totally feels like they did this on purpose considering when I asked about construction noise before moving in, I was told you couldn't even hear it. Well turns out that was a lie and since I work from home I heard it Monday-Saturday 7am-5pm. Not to mention I lost a fob and it was the full cost to replace it, no discount. It really feels like this place is trying to get over on tenants/future tenants and values dollars over customer service/decency to help others out. Hope this helps save someone the frustration I've felt dealing with this property.

This apartment is clean, convenient, with very competent staff. The amenities are wonderful, especially the clubhouse, which contains a very accessible gym area and party area. Concierges are available all day in the clubhouse and 'til midnight.

Amazing location, super convenient for bars and restaurants, extremely walkable. Veterans Park is practically part of the complex, just hop across the street and you're in an amazing park. The whole area feels like a safe and friendly neighborhood, lots of joggers and dog-walkers always out and about. Staff are all amazing and helpful, and they have an excellent 24-hour concierge service. Domanique is especially helpful, always waiting to greet people with a warm smile and excellent professional courtesy. She's super knowledgeable about the Charlotte area and what it has to offer, and always has time for a friendly chat while offering world-class service (I needed to return a parking tag by a certain date otherwise face a potential fine, but I was able to hand this to her on July 4th when the rest of the staff were out on vacation, and she ensured the tag was delivered to the relevant party in order to avoid any penalty fee etc.). Highly recommended!

Great location, walking distance to lots of good shopping and eating, really cool amenities. The staff and maintenance guys are friendly and helpful - love this place so far!
