This community is in the perfect location with amazing amenities and friendly neighbors. The apartments themselves are nice with great finishes and high ceilings. My only issue is the amount of dog poop left around the community. There are TONS of people who don't pick up their dog's poop (both outside in the grass and inside in elevators/hallways), making the community pretty gross and unclean. While management sends emails, nothing has been done to prevent or fix the problem, which is allowing more and more people to do this. Other than that, this is a wonderful place to live!

The amenities here are the best of any Charlotte community. The apartment is airy, spacious and has a classy kitchen and bath. The complex is well manicured and maintained. Common areas are clean and designed perfectly. All staff members are professional, happy and very helpful. Having a barista make lattes is a huge perk! The dog park is big, clean and a fun place to socialize. I'm so happy I'm living at the Villages at Commonwealth.

Honestly, I wasn't that excited about moving to another apartment complex, but this has been the best apartment experience I've ever had. I don't think another place can beat the location, amenities, gym, and activities.

The barista (Mark) is the best around!! I love this community and would recommend anyone who’s looking to live in the plaza midwood area to check it out! One of my favorite things about the community is how many people either have pets or love animals!

Everyone I have encountered has been nice and welcoming. The space is nice and convenient. I do wish the streets in the surrounding areas were cleaner but that's the price you pay to live in a city. Overall the pricing and quality I have is satisfactory and in some cases exceeded my expectations.

It is good quality with lots of amenities in a good location. The neighborhood is safe and friendly. The apartments are up to date with great features and extra spaces to use when you want to entertain or work. The dog services are also a major plus for us!

Provides a great sense of security. Neighbors are very friendly and quiet, can't hear a thing once inside my own doors. Great amenities love the steam room/ sauna feature with the hot tub. Everything is close and easily accessible!

I just had to leave another review for this place! I'm glad so my husband and I moved in... and renewed! Great community, staff, management. MARK THE BARISTA IS AMAZING! Commonwealth has an actual Cafe with complementary Barista service, and the Mark has a full menu with rotating seasonal items, as well! The resident events are great, and Mark also runs the community bike club- our favorite! Big shout out to Ronnie in maintenance, also! The whole team is professional and respectful. The Cafe and several large lounge spaces to work from home with reliable wi-fi. I really don't see leaving here until we buy a home of our own. Check it out!

My husband and I moved in a week ago and so far we love the apartment and the community! I keep saying it's like living in a retirement community for young people - because it has everything you need on-site or close-by! And if you're from out-of-state, like us, you'll have no trouble meeting new neighbors, especially if you have a dog! And there are so many highly-attended community events. For example, in my 1 week here, there have been several foodtruck nights, a wine club, and several fitness classes. As for the apartment itself, it's truly a luxury apartment. My favorite part about our apartment is the built-in bar and mudroom - they add so much charm! The only downside I've noticed (so far) is the poor insulation from the ceiling - we can hear our upstairs neighbors walk, vacuum, and run the garbage disposal. Luckily, we haven't been able hear them talk. Other than that, I'm highly impressed and would recommend this community to anyone who wants to meet a lot of new people and doggies!

The amenities here are unlike no other, the staff is very friendly and they are constantly hosting fun events for the residents. I enjoy living here at the village at commonwealth, it’s in a great location and has so much to offer.

I thought moving here was going to be a great experience, boy was I wrong. From the very beginning the communication with the leasing office was practically nonexistent and needless to say unprofessional. Yea sure this place offers great amenities (when the work). The gym isn’t maintained, several amenities are out of order with no explanation or resolution . The 24 hour concierge that is never 24 hours, the Mail and package situation here makes zero sense( constant missing Mail and packages).The constant maintenance issues that aren’t resolved in a timely manner as promised , again zero effective communication. The constant noise at night from wild parties and street noise that no one does anything about. The rules are never enforced , dog poop everywhere ( watch where you walk). This company has way to much management with very little knowledge or professionalism. You would think if you lived here as an employee you would take more pride and make things better not worse. Management will reach out to people with request’s to leave good reviews in exchange for reward points towards gift cards/bribes.Funny how when the corporate holiday party was here , everything was in working order and clean. The only positive thing from this experience is meeting some great people, other then that everything has been a negative experience and we can’t wait to move out!!!

My wife and I have lived here for a long time and we absolute love it. The most dog friendly, but also spacious enough to not have to be around too many dogs if it's not your thing. They have a full cafe with free barista bar service; it is a true coffee shop! Great for working from home, too. Mark the barista is amazing and also runs the Bike Club that we love! Guy is a real professional! We're just waiting to buy a house, so until then we intend to call The Village at Commonwealth home. Come check it out!

LOVE this place! I've lived all over Charlotte, and nothing compares! They have a cross-training gym (and there are two gyms in general), several different lounge/work spaces, and FREE barista cafe service! Mark the barista is the best! It's like living in a resort. I can't recommend living anywhere else. Check this place out!

Not bad, I enjoy the community. In spite of everything going on, just hard to live somewhere when you don't know anyone at all. Besides all of that, area is great location for whatever ya wanna do. Only thing, rent is a little steep and parking at times is a hassle.

It has been a great experience. The gym and coffee shop is amazing. The location is amazing and allows you to walk anywhere in plaza Midwood. You are also 10-20 min away from anything in the city which is great.

I have had a primarily negative experience living at the Village at Commonwealth. Multiple maintenance issues continue to arise and it seems like there are never-ending problems with this place. The leasing office attempts to pacify me, but I am beyond frustrated with how I find myself constantly facing new issues with my apartment. This is by far the worst apartment community I have ever lived in.

It hasn't been the best. I had terrible neighbor ha living above me but management was unwilling to do anything about it unless Someone from the consierge office can hear the noise by listening at the offenders' door. You can't hear noise in every room from the door so of course it becomes up to the person living with the noise to prove it. Really? I'm leaving because of the noise issue and the loud tenants get to happily live on here to make all the noise they want.
