I have had a horrible experience living at MAA Research Park. Firstly, my apartment was infested with cockroaches prior to moving in. They only told me two days before I was moving in. The infestation has continued despite me contacting the property repeatedly and asking for treatment, and they do the bare minimum to treat it. My dishwasher was INFESTED with roaches - I had to follow up repeatedly to get them to remove it and they never replaced it. They also barely cleaned the apartment when I moved in - a hour before my move in appointment, someone was in the apartment cleaning it, and I found dead roaches on the floor & sugar crusted to the cabinets. They sent someone to clean after a few days, AFTER I had moved in, who stayed for 20 minutes and mopped the kitchen - and that was it. There is also a constant stench of marijuana in the complex, and the parking situation is horrible. I would not recommend living here.

MAA Research is a quiet, clean and safe community. The amenities are in great working conditions and are always available to the community. Management and maintenance are very friendly and extremely helpful.

Nice community. Needs upgrades for the rental prices. Dog owners need to be mindful and courteous. There are too many instances of dog poop being left in the grass. There should also be better lighting in the areas where people park.

It has been a fantastic experience. The leasing office staff if friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The maintenance crew are some of the hardest working people I've met. They are great at responding to requests quickly and efficiently. They are also just a great crew of guys. The complex itself is well taken care of. My only areas of growth are targeted at some of the residents who constantly don't clean up after their dogs and cause the trash compactor to break often because of their failure to follow instructions.

The onsite maintinence is on point. The outside vendors service is horrible. The office staff goes off what they are told and don't get clarification from the people who pay rent. There are plenty of other communities with better amenities and cost efficient.

At first I was very excited to move into these apartments. I have two different friends that lives in two different MAA apartments before and I love them. After moving in past couple months has been kind of a disappointment. The apartment floor plan is nice but it's moving in that there was a couple little nicks and crannies issues I couldn't really communicate with the team fully because they wanted the sheet back at a certain time and with my work schedule just really didn't coincide so I just dealt. Small things that I can either live with or fix myself but still when you're dealing with apartments such as MAA expect something else. My biggest gripe is the parking situation here I am a person that works at various different hours and to come home at 11 to midnight after working a long shift into not even remotely gets part close to my apartment complex as a young female is very concerning. When I mentioned this to the office when I first moved in they said that they were going to go ahead and put me on a waitlist for either a garage or a parking spot of course is extra money for both of those things to have those convenience which I have no problem with Paying but the problem where a lot of people are being inconvenience for this parking situation there's a whole bunch of people on the waitlist I'm almost coming up to my year and still nothing. I've even called the apartment complex after they sent out the email about first come first serve on a garage even though I've been waiting on a waitlist for one the garage in question is not the closest to my apartment but it's closer than sometimes I made to park but unfortunately wasn't even given the opportunity to grab the garage. When I called up to the office I end up actually getting the manager directly I voiced my concerns and she said that she was going to take a look around my apartment complex to see if they were able to add any reserved parking spots and she will let me know I didn't get a call back or follow up about that at all I don't think that I should be going out of my way chasing down the management team for a fix on a situation that they clearly know that is a problem had I known this before I would've never moved here I would've decided to go somewhere else. I was not planning on moving this soon and spending money that I spent last year in order to move out of another apartment but having to deal with not only the Parkinson situation but seems to me that there is real bad communication with the management office it's just not exactly ideal. Another issue that I have is the fact that the communication is that we're supposed to have a sticker on our car in that cars that are not parked in the visitor parking and does not have a sticker are going to get towed and yet the only time I see the tow truck is when clearly somebody called the office to complain about the parking situation because then there's an email from management team reminding people of the parking standards that's clearly never followed. My advice to the team is to be fully honest and better at communication.

When we moved here, we didn't realize people drag race right outside the complex on Ellis. Between the racing and the constant obnoxiously loud bass from vehicles coming and going from the apartments, there's lots of irritating noise. We had to buy sound machines and noise dampening curtains for our bedroom. Just yesterday someone was riding their new, very loud four-wheeler around and around the adjacent apartment complex, so we have that to look forward to now. Also our AC has broken twice in the five months we've lived here.

The apartment buildings are kept clean, the grounds are well maintained, and maintenance requests are answered in a timely manner. The communication from the office staff has greatly improved. The pool and gym are clean and usually pretty quiet.

Move-in repairs that were promised but weren't fulfilled. So ensure it's stated in writing if your unit needs repairs before you move in. Parking is horrible; yet cars that haven't been moved in months are allowed to take up spaces, and reserved spots are given to preferred people.

I've had very few problems with the apartment complex overall. The maintenance team does a really good job of solving the issue quickly and parking used to be an issue, but it's gotten better to me. I would overall recommend this complex.

Overall it is a good place to live. Put one thing some my neighbor smokes on the stair case ans she smokes ( Marijuana) and I dont like that at all . I have shared this with apartment staff twice until one day I had to tell the maintenance guy (Robert) go and witness it and he did. and another issue i have renewed my lease twice and I was promised carpet cleaning, but Two renewals not carpet cleaned or one side of the wall painted.

I really love living here it's a quiet community an so far everyone I've met here has been super friendly and helpful. They have no pet restrictions which was very helpful for me due to having big dogs.

I like the food trucks and community events. I am very disappointed that the dog park was closed indefinitely. That amenity was one of the main reasons I chose this apartment. I also wish the power washing would continue as the stairway is very dirty.

Extremely expensive for little to no amenities and a tiny apartment. The kitchen appliances are old and outdated. The sound proofing is abysmal, I can hear the highway very well and it prevents me from getting good sleep.

Very nice community with beautiful landscaping. The apartments themselves are very nice and spacious. It is quiet for an apartment community. Maintenance is attentive to work orders. The leasing office staff is very friendly. Lots of perks like cable/internet included, nice pool, gym, dog park?but all comes with a beautiful price tag especially when it comes time to renew the lease.

The leasing agents are incredibly friendly and helpful whenever there's an issue. The maintenance process is quick and reliable. I also appreciate the opportunity to meet various dog breeds in the community. The smart home features are convenient when I'm unsure if I locked the door.

Staff is nice, but the property is starting to deteriorate. Walls are thin, property is often littered with trash and dog waste, there are roaches, and poorly functioning appliances. They do spray for bugs but it's not enough. Not worth the money to live here in my opinion.

I have lived in the apartments of MAA for 2yrs and counting and the environment is great. Maintenance be on point with the requests and that's major. My kids also love the pool amenities, gym and events that goes on at the office.

The water cost is crazy and I heard they love going up on rent every year. Sucks having just one dumpster to use. Could find a better system. I buy rent and hard to find a parking spot which is crazy.

Nice community, safe and quiet. Great maintenance workers who are always on point. The current townhouse I live in needs some updating. It is super spacious and comfortable for my needs. There isn't enough cabinets in the kitchen so that is a downside.

For the most part I am satisfied with the apartment in terms of size. When I moved in the apartment was not updated and now after being here for almost 4 years cosmetic defects are more evident. Unfortunately, the rent everywhere has increased so that's a problem everywhere am I looking to pay less of course; however the cost of moving has outweighed my increase these last 2 rent increases. The maintenance and office staff is great. I haven't experienced any problems with either.

I've had a pleasant experience at MAA since moving in September; however, I have run into quite a few issues. Maintenance is always quick to respond to provide a solution, but the condition of my apartment was just subpar. Leaks in my toilet, sink, and bathtub; paint peeling in my kitchen cabinets; roaches from my first move-in date; and a frustrating issue with the community keychain I was given. This is my main complaint since it's taken me 3 months to realize the keychain was never updated in the first place. The storage keys and mail keys both fit their respective locks, but didn't actually unlock anything. And now I realize the fob used to get into the gym is faulty as well. The purpose of this feedback is to make sure everything is actually prepared for the next tenant to move-in the MAA community. Despite my gripe about the keys, I do like the community. Neighbors are friendly, maintenance workers are happy to help, and it's generally pretty quiet and secure.

Unfortunately it's been a horrible experience for us. The gym is always a mess with missing equipment or kids running around unsupervised. There is dog poop everywhere. We can't even take our dogs to the park because it's just poop. The garbage is always overflowed. It smells of weed everywhere inside your house or outside your house. The majority of residents don't care about their community and it doesn't matter how many emails are sent out. People will come and steal stuff off the porch or from the mail room area. Jessica is the only bright spot to the property. She is the only one who we trust to get anything done. My husband and I don't bother talking to anyone else because we hear "we'll call you back and follow up" but no one ever does besides Jess. People leave there dogs outside unattended with no collar or anything that are aggressive and have gone after our dogs and others that my husband had to get in the middle of. We can't wait to leave. I would not recommend this property. It's gone down hill just in the 2 years we've been here.

I have been a resident at MAA research Park apartments 3 years. The office staff are very friendly, always willing to help. They go the extra mile. The maintenance staff very knowledgeable, quick to respond and never leaves a mess. The grounds are well kept. I'm guaranteed a good night's rest as in the evening. It is very quiet. We have on grounds, courtesy security. There is ample parking. I'm so happy to be a part of the MAA family at research Park.
