Love that the community is hidden away as the name implies. The maintenance and office staff are great. They are always very nice, responsive, and welcoming. Never had any complaints except I hate the frige. Convenient rent pay options. Usually very quiet.

I moved to this complex in 2009. In the years I've been here I've been completely satisfied with all aspects of the community. The employees are friendly and very helpful, no matter what the need. The maintenance crew is awesome, any concern has been taken care of in a timely manner with my satisfaction guaranteed. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Is a great community to live at. Jennifer the property manager is great and all the staff is great also. They are very friendly and work hard to provide a nice community. Love the lake at the community, because it is peaceful to sit out on the docks.

I have lived here a few months and have had excellent support from staff whenever I have had an issue within my apartment OR on grounds surrounding my apartment. I feel safe and complex is always well-maintained. Security patrols are performed every night and there have been no loud parties that sprawled beyond a neighbor's apartment. There have been no disputes in the parking lot and the police have not had to come visit any residents since I have lived here. These are important factors for me. The grounds are very well maintained and residents with pets do their part to pick up after their animals as as I can tell (no apparent sights or smells). I have enjoyed living here very much and am able to relax at the end of my day without worrying about what's going to happen where I live. Absolutely cannot beat the staff professionalism, their efforts and their responsiveness to my concerns.

I have lived at Hidden Lake for well over 8mos. now. My husband and I love it. It is very peaceful and a nice place to live. The maintenance staff is amazing, and don't even get me started on the management, absolutely wonderful. They are so welcoming and always have an open hand. When I need something fixed or done, the maintenance guys get the job done quick, and do the job right. My dog even loves it here as well. She gets to interact with the other dogs on the complex every now and then in the dog park. She loves to take walks within the complex and go down by the lake where the geese are too. This place is also convenient for military, the base is only 15mins away. The complex is hidden in its own area, which is nice. Shopping is right up the road! Also, the complex is gated and has fencing all around, which is wonderful. All other amenities included are great as well. I highly recommend anyone to live here, you will not be disappointed.

DO NOT COME TO HIDDEN LAKE. I was living in Hidden Lake Apartments for one year. Let me start on a positive note. The staff at Hidden Lake are extremely nice and friendly. The lake which is honestly a pond, is nice and there are ducks that live there which I enjoyed feeding and watching them play. The apartment itself is clean and we had zero problems with upkeep. However, I would not recommend anyone to live here! We thought, based on the overall appearance of the apartment and the gate at the front that this was a nice, safe place to live. One month upon moving in, we were burglarized in broad daylight while at work. The local police told us that this area and particularly this complex is targeted for break ins. During my time spent at the pool, several people have told me of either themselves or friends of theirs, being robbed or burglarized while living at Hidden Lake..these are conversations without being provoked. I cannot stress enough how unsafe it is here. DO NOT COME TO HIDDEN LAKE. In fact if you re moving to Fayetteville, NC (which I do not recommend) call the local police and ask them for a crime report for different apartments first. That is advise I wish I would've taken the time to do.

Noise ......When upstairs tenents walk with shoes on, it is very loud. ......Toilets flushing can be heard clearly ......Shower usage from upstairs apartment is heard ......Upstairs nieghbors heard if they spoke higher than a whisper ......Tenents and guest can be heard outside frequently Dog droppings are noticed occassionally on the grounds Paint began to peel arund shower after 4 or 5 months Disgusting stain under toilet seat was discovered and replaced by me

NOT MILITARY friendly. Sneaky

It is not a terrible place by any means but the management is horrible and co operate is clearly all about how much money they can get from you. I've had a few incidents with these apartments which made me not renew my lease. They tampered with the military clause. They do NOT have one in their lease. What they did was have you sign a memorandum that basically states. You may only use your orders 30 days BEFORE your PCS,ETS but not TDY and 30 days AFTER your report date. Orders are valid the day they are cut until you've signed in elsewhere. My second incident was the one and ONLY time I paid my rent online. I used their payment online option. I received a confirmation number and the money was pulled from my account. I hadn't noticed The money had gone back into my account. The complex never notified me in written form that they had not received payment until I got a court appearance letter on my door mid month!. I paid them immediately and they said they wouldn't show up to court so the case would be dropped but I showed up because I didn't trust them. My only other minor issues is The head manager was abrasive the entire lease and their other property manager will not speak with you even if he sees you. He will walk right by you before or after leaving something on your door. I just think that's rude. The security guards are never there and the one that is I believe to be meek and shy in nature. I have spoken with him a couple times. The lake they advertise you can't swim in and is filthy and the seats to look out at the river are broken. But other than all that the apartment was alright. They also require $349 dollar pet fee AND pet rent.

Good Til We Moved Out!

Pros: Friendly leasing and office staff, great maintenance staff, beautiful clubhouse, security gate, friendly courtesy officer, reasonable rental rates, usually enough parking, awesome location, loved the breakfast bar in the 2B/2B, walk in closet Cons:I really liked living in here in general but I do have several cons to bring up. Noisy, ugly apartments. I felt like I was living in a white box.Our upstairs neighbors were beyond awful. They walked so loudly and so hard that it caused the popcorn ceiling on our apartment to come loose and we would come home to our furniture and belongings covered in a thin veil of white powder. They had a baby and a puppy. Enough said..its was loud all the time. Then the next people that moved in left there TV on 24 hrs a day at a loud level. Even after several calls to the courtesy officer it was still irksome. I didn't sleep well with my husband deployed anyways so all the noise made it so I didn't get much sleep for 6 months. Everything in the apartments in the lowest grade acceptable. The cabinets, appliances everything. There is nothing nice, special, luxurious or anything about these apartments. The gate is very much needed for safety in the area this community is situated. It doesn't help though when it is broken. There would be long stretches of time and it would be broken and nobody would come to fix it. It was rather frustrating. My main issue with the property was when we went to move out. We gave notice, hired professional cleaners, and had the carpets steam cleaned. I considered this going above the bare minimum. We turned in our keys, did a walk-through this the leasing agent and left. Next thing you know I get a 17 page bill to our new address. They charged us to replace the carpet which was 'at life' when we left, charged us all kinds of pet fees, the last water bill, and extra cleaning bills. I was livid. The apartment looked better than when we had first moved in and yet I had a bill for 800 dollars. We ended up consulting with an attorney and we are in the right on everything and we have all our proof. Hidden Lake will not budge. It is ridiculous. I will let you know what happens but it left such a bad taste in my mind I would never, ever let someone I care about lease from this property.

I feel quite at home

I moved to Hidden Lakes Apts 6mths ago, and so far I love it. It is quiet and the apts are well maintained as is the property. I enjoy the extra security of living in a gated community with security that you can see walking the grounds at night. The office staff is pleasant to interact with. And the complex's relatively small size is inviting and it is pleasant to stroll the grounds.

Great Place To Call Home

I recently moved to Hidden Lake Apartments. I loved the fact it was "Gated", but I was more impressed with the Staff. I knew as soon as I met everyone, that I was going to live here. It was a great decision. It's very quiet, nice neighbors, well constructed, and safe. I've met 3 of the Staff members, and all 3 have been awesome with everything, from moving in, to making sure I'm satisfied with everything. I did have an issue with the refrigerator when I moved in, and they considered the problem an emergency, and it was fixed in one day. I was thrilled. If you're looking for a great apartment that feels safe when you walk around the community, I highly recommend Hidden Lake Apartments. I'm so glad I moved here...I'm planning to stay a long time... :-) Thank you Hidden Lake Staff...you all are terrific!

Fayetteville's Best Secret

I've lived in the Hidden Lake apartments for a little over two years. With a fiance still in Korea and a baby on the way, the staff at Hidden Lake was very inviting and helpful. The grounds are beautifully maintained, neighbors are quite, and maintenance was never a problem. Over the past year the complex has really become a home to myself and my daughter. On Christmas, Halloween, and Easter the apartments have get-togethers. With in the past few months the Apartment has built a dog park, recycling center, and provided a service which picks up trash from your apartment (at no extra cost to you). There is 24hr security and maintenance. People walk there dogs and babies at all time of the day and night. But it still remains peaceful. My advice to you is live on the river side, during the summer you can see geese and ducks in the lake. We're leaving in a few days to move to California, but if I could stay here I would. The staff (Jennifer and John to name a few) are sweet and willing to help you in anyway they can. The maintenance men/lady have no problem coming in the middle of the night to solve you're problem. Overall, being my first apartment, this was an amazing experience.

So-So, But Has Changed A LOT

The Bad: I have lived here on and off for two years. (Went home when my husband was deployed.) This place scared me at first when a drunk man stole my friends car and drag raced it down the loop. He jumped the curb into a neighbors backyard and caused a lot of damage. Even though we had a picture of him, he was never caught. This gave me a bad impression of this place. Keep in mind this was two years ago when rent was $650. That being said, the staff took care of it immediately, police were notified, and they have since put in metal gate that cannot be walked through unlike before. Secondly, my aparement was almost broken into. (Prior to gates.) We live on the third floor! I guess he thought noone would suspect. A man broke into the bottom floor apartment and then came upstairs, rang our doorbell..luckily my husband was home, we have an alarm, and two dogs! He heard us turn off our alarm and he said he had the wrong apartment? Next thing we know we get a knock on our door from a police officer saying our neighbors to the right were broken into and jewlery was stolen. Once again, this was an isolated event and has only happened that one time. If people get broken into its because they live on the first floor without an alarm system. WHICH IS $23 A MONTH. Very affordable and pre installed. Jennifer the manager is fantastic. Super nice and attentive. She always assures everything will be okay. The other staff leaves something to be desired. It is a bit redneck/trashy people, but 100% less then the rest of Fayetteville. They have recently changed this complex into a little nicer place to stay. That then means rent has gone up. We now pay $809 with a ridiculous $500 pet deposit that is non refundable. (Average in Fayetteville in $650) When we moved out last time, not only did they charge us for damage that did not exist so we lost our deposit, but had to pay $300 more. The bills just kept coming. When we called them, they could not justify the expense, but said they would send us to collections if we did not pay. My friend who lived here before said they do that to everyone who hasnt lived her for more then a year. The Good: They just installed a pet run which is nice so there is less dog crap. The gate keeps out everyone that doesnt belong. It is close to everything/skibo road and 15 min from Fort Bragg post. The pool is usually not too busy and wash room/mail room is easily accesible. The gym is a JOKE, but what more can I expect? At least they have one that is 24 hours with free cable. They have a new conceirge trash pick up at your front door. You just have to remember to put it out no earlier then 6pm and bring in your trash can before 9am or they CAN fine you. There is a ton of parking available. Its quiet on a lake. You can go fishing and canoeing. There is a 24 hour security guard that actually does their job!! They are exceptionally friendly. The parking area is well lit and I even feel comfortable walking to say get my mail at 11pm or even 1am! There are numerous pet stations and there is minimal dog poop. The Conclusion: Overall, we have been here two years and we are moving. We liked it for those two years enough to put up with a few bad incidents, but we have outgrown the high cost for these unnessary amenities. We can rent a house for the same price 3bed 2 bad, fenced backyard, has 300 sq feet more then here, and privacy! People can breath down your neck here and gossip. I would like to have friends over ONE night without have the police called.

Loved it!

I no longer live at Hidden Lake, but I did live there for a year. I absolutely loved it and can only hope to find another one like it at our next post. The apartment was spacious and in great condition. I never had a problem with noise. Parking was bad only if you got home late at night, otherwise there is plenty of parking. The gate was broken maybe once in the year I was there but someone ran into it so management can hardly be blamed for that. Overall, had a great experience at Hidden Lake. Also, not sure why anyone would complain about management, I had very pleasant experiences with everyone at the office.

Awesome!

I've lived at Hidden Lake for almost 6 months now and I absolutely love it! The front office staff is great and they all know my boyfriend and I by name. Anytime I have any issues I simply call or go in and it's taken care of immediately. I would recommend Hidden Lake to anyone looking for an apartment.

Love it!

I've lived here for about 5 months now and I love it here. Maintenance is always very quick to respond, the office staff is very friendly and even knows my deployed husband and myself by name. When I walk in I am greeted like a long lost friend. I haven't seen any shady characters and I walk at night with my dog without fear of being hounded by some creeper. The security guard is also very nice and professional. They give you a discount if your spouse deploys and if you take in a copy of your renters insurance that cancels out your pet rent, if you have one. I have had no bug problems and they still send exterminators out to make sure they stay away. I have referred two of my friends here who have moved in and love it as well. I can only hope that when my husband and I pcs somewhere else that we find another apartment complex as good as this one.
