Dont Bother- Unprofessional Staff and will only add unneccessary stress.....

I was initially impressed by Hidden Lake Apartments and the management of this property. My fiance and I decided to go ahead and fill out an application with the appropriate application fee. During this time, my fiance was deployed so I was taking care of everything for us in regards to arranging the proper accommodations for his homecoming. After filling out the application, the leasing agent contacted me asking me whether my fiance had a middle name or not as Resident Check- the agency that Hidden Lake Apartments affiliates with to obtain criminal background checks and information regarding potential tenants was having difficulty obtaining information on my fiance even though they had his social security number on file to find the proper person. The application finally went through and the leasing agent contacted me to inform me that my application had been denied because my fiance had a pending felony. I was shocked of course being that my fiance has a military security clearance and how could be have a pending case while deployed? Again, during this time my fiance was deployed and on top of the stress that he was having to deal with, he was shocked and upset at the news that he could have had a pending felony in his history. Being upset at the shocking news and knowing that this pending felony could affect our chances of getting accepted into another apartment complex conducting criminal background checks we knew that we had to get to the bottom of this. My fiance and I conducted our own criminal background check on my fiance with our own money and this criminal check came out negative. Around that time I had been able to secure different accommodations for us. I called Hidden Lake Apartments and told them about my research involving the criminal background check I had conducted and how it came back negative. I was then placed on hold while the Hidden Lakes representative got on hold with the partner institution they affiliate with only to be told that this time around our criminal background checks had come out clean. I was upset about the stress that my fiance and I had to go through. I requested that Hidden Lakes Apartments send me proof with the pending felony on file and I requested to have my application fee refunded to me. After having wasted my time, energy, money, resources, and after having had to stress my fiance- who was on a combat zone- and I, we felt we deserved to have proof and to have our application fee returned to us and more. Hidden Lakes Apartments send us partial proof of the pending felony they had recorded and refused to refund us our application fee. I felt that this was inappropriate. After having given money to Hidden Lakes for the right purposes and only to be told lies about our criminal background checks and have caused us more money I felt we deserved some form of compensation. The property manager and her boss meanwhile blamed Resident Check. I don t think it should be my fault that Hidden Lakes affiliates with a screening service with poor results and incorrect information. Honestly, I have never dealt with upper management and staff members with such unprofessional manners and such poor customer service. I again called Hidden Lakes two weeks ago about the underlying complain hoping to get some form of peace with what had happened and have yet to get a call back from them. The stress that my fiance and I had to go through is something that management did not care less about. In my mind, my fiance and I were treated unfairly and I do not think I should have gotten by application fee, time, and resources stolen in the process. As a result of their poor customer service, I do not recommend Hidden Lakes Apartments to anyone. Please don t bother.

I love it

I don't know why other people would say that this is a bad place. I have lived here for a year now and it is one of the best apartment complexes I have ever lived in anywhere. The staff is very helpful and nice. they know me, my husband and even my two dogs by name. The neighbors are great and this is a very pet friendly place. You also get a nice place for what you pay in my opinion. It is pretty quite around here and I have had no problems except a Pitbull attack, but that was not the complexes fault, in fact they do not allow Pitbulls in the complex, this one just snuck in. The people and the environment are great and you'll like your apartment.

Great Place

My husband and I lived at Hidden Lake for a year and it was very enjoyable. Management was very nice and knew us by name. The other tennants were amazing!!! The couples around us watched out for me while my husband was gone. I knew that if anything happened I could go to them!! The service people were very nice and fast the day I called in a problem they were at my door fixing it. The only problems were that people from upstairs would throw their cigarette butts on the ground and never pick them up, Dogs would "relieve" themselves by our apartment while the owners just watched and walked on. The apartment managers supply tennants with doggie bags that are scattered all over the complex!!! When I asked the managers to do something about it they told us to catch them and tell them. (Like I have the time to do that) I only heard a gunshot once but it was far away and immediately after a police car was coming through the complex asking what direction it was coming from. The police respond very fast as well. I was alone one night and there was a car with a man passed out in it at 4 a.m. right infront of our door. I didn't feel comfortable so I called the police, and they came immediately and asked the man to leave the complex or go inside. The only thing that I DID NOT like was that people living around the complex come in to swim and sit by the pond. But whenever management asked them to leave they did with no problem. I have to say that I wouldn't live there again BUT would recommend it to a couple who is looking for a safe, friendly place for a good price.

Great place to live, sad we are leaving...

My husband and I only got the chance to live here for a year before coming up on orders. We had the best experience here, in fact it is the best place we have lived yet! The management was always very nice when they saw us, and even knew us by name, even though we had only met maybe once or twice before. The manager even remembered my husbands name after he had been deployed for some time. If we ever had any issues, all we had to do was let someone know and they took care of it. Maintence was a dream. The ladies that came into my home were so sweet and quick! The grounds are kept very nice, and there was always parking. We lived in the 1st floor, so we could sometimes hear our neighbors, but that of course is expected! Although the community is close to two big roads, it is set back enough and closed in enough to where it doesn't even seem like you are living in Fayetteville. Being in the gated community is nice. Our neighbors were always really nice people, they always said hello. My husband and I never got a chance to use the pool or gym, but from what we saw, it was always clean and running smoothly. The pool never looked overly crowded. The lake was a dream. It was a lot of fun to go and feed the geese and ducks, and to see the babies in the spring. Such a peaceful place to live! This is a real steal for Fayetteville. If we come back to Bragg, we will come back here for sure!

dont live here!

Its true this place is ------! I used to live there and i also heard gunshots. Management is a bunch of snobs too. Most the time the gate is broken or just left open. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone except criminals.

Live Here!!!

Hidden Lake is a quiet & safe community. I have lived here for about a year and have no problems. The maintenance staff is polite and the office personel are always ready to help. If you like a peaceful environment that is away from everything while at the same time being right around the corner you should live here. I have made tons of money by referring friends and relatives.

Everything I was looking for

The move in special was so awesome I actually broke my lease to move in here. I only had a month left before my lease was up.The deposit was totally reasonable (and I have bad credit). The property managers are so pleasant and professional. The apartment itself is so clean. I pulled the fridge out from the wall our first day here and it was sparkling clean. I have a roommate and this apartment works great for us. I love it!

One of the BEST!

I have lived in a lot of apartments due to my jobs moving me around. Hidden Lake is tops in all aspects of their upkeep and managment of these apartments!! Management cares and is by far very knowledgeable!! If you want the best, then Hidden Lake is for you!

Home Sweet Home!

Hidden Lake is a very well-maintained community, peaceful, great amenities, friendly neighbors, resident activities, professional and caring management and maintenance staff....overall a great place to live. My children and I have been here since June and have never had an issue with any aspect of this property. I rented online from out of state through the eyes of a friend only.....and was very pleased when I moved in (and to the present date)! I would definitely recommend Hidden Lake to others, the company strives for nothing but quality and resident satisfaction!

GREAT!

Very Quiet. Great Apartment. Not sure what others are talking about...I have a nice apartment and have had no issues.<br>Not sure about the corporate, never had to deal with that. The Management is nice and polite to me. I moved into a brand new apartment facing the lake and playground and it's been great.

This place is not good

we have been through the gun shots, the parties all night long with police showing up and the so called tranquility living is a joke. The manager is rude and thinks she is better than anyone else. Right. The helper is just as bad. All we want is a nice place to live. We thought it would be nice back away from everything wow what a suprise. When it was leased we were told all these wonderful things coming up and still nothing great is too happen. Please take our advice and shop somewhere else. Your probably safer somewhere else. The only thing that saved us was a deployment!

Not that good!!!

I lived here for almost a year. The staff was o.k. but upper management was nothing to be desired. I had a few problems that the onsite staff could not help me with so I had to contact the corporate office. The so called general manager is a flake. If you want to be handled in a professional manner, be treated like you are a paying customer, this is not the place for you. They only care about your money not if you are being robbed, harrassed, and out right scared to drive into the place you live. They must not screen their residents that well. There are sex offenders living on the property and they don't care as long as he or she pays the rent. Beware, especially if you have children or want a safe place to live.
