This place has gone to the dogs

I have lived here for about a year now. The apartments are nice but since they allow dogs of any size, the grounds are covered with dog poop. People here even allow their pets to crap on the sidewalks and simply ignore it. The Poop Stations that they put out are a good idea but like the Garbage Retainers, they are usually overflowing with waste. For the life of me, I do not understand how management allows this place to be overriden with trash. The pool area has the same problem. Message to Management: Spend some time cleaning up the grounds and you might be able to increase your occupancy level. You know what they say about first impressions.

This place SUCKS!!!!!!

Management on this apartment sucks. They never ever take care of their residents. No maintenance issues get solved unless you call a million times to remind them. No answers of any questions you have. This is the last apartment you want to move in. I'm still living here but I want to be out!

Happy

I have lived in my apartment for 1 1/2 years and have been pleased with the community. We have seen a management change since I moved in, but I think it was for the better. I was really suprised to see the negative reviews on this website. The apartments are beautiful, the grounds are well kept, the location is awesome and the staff is friendly. They also have resident socials for us. It seems the negative reviews are being written by someone who is trying to be nasty to the people who work there or possibly by a child. I say come see for yourself, you'll love the place! I definitely plan on renewing my lease this winter.

the staff are very very bad

ashley park is the nastiest place ever. there r bugs every where (not just my apartment 2 of my friends apartments also and they live on the other side of the complex so its not just mt building). at 1st things my look nice but soon every thing starts falling apart and it takes forever for someone 2 look at it. the ppl working at ashley park are total -------,iam always very nice 2 them then they act very smart --- in front of ur face. 4 u the people it is best just 2 stay away.

Just because its a nice area don't be fooled

I have lived here a year and I will be making a change within a few weeks. Whenever I called for maintence, they never responded. When the guy did show up, he didn't do anything. Three cop cars were called here a couple of days ago, because of the group of teenagers that were in the parking lot. I don't know what they did, but it made me uneasy. I also didn't like when there was a money dispute, the leasing agent got rude. Then she found out that I was right, and didn't aplogize. If I want to see the cops coming here all the time or see kids hanging out on the corner, I will go downtown. When I call the office with a question, I expect an answer.

We feel fortunate to have found this place!

We moved to Ashley Park about 14 months ago and have been extremely happy. The location is the best available in Raleigh, but more important is how much the property has to offer. The billiards room and basketball court are a big deal for my family, and we recently had a birthday party for my son in the theatre area. I'm pleased with the new staff, as well. They are very helpful and attentive. While we will be buying a house soon, I am not in any hurry to leave our apartment. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. Keep up the good work!

Ashley Park is Terrible

New management is terrible. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. The Several times that I have been in the office they Act like every thing is an inconvenience to them. Very Poor customer service. <br>Last management company was much better. <br><br>I would not waste my time or money at this place.<br><br>Parking is also bad unless you have a garage.

Nothing has changed

Nothing has changed with Ashley Park and the new management. Staff are still rude and unhelpful and I would not recommend Ashley Park to anyone, it is overprice and not worth the money. <br>I knew I made a mistake when I signed my lease with this company. And I can't wait to get out of that place.

There has been improvement

I am pleased to say that since the new management has arrived things are getting better. When I go into the office I am greeted by smiling faces and people who want to help me. I am very happy with my choice to live at Ashley Park. I hope everyone takes the chance to go by and meet the new staff because they will definitely see a change. The apartments are awesome and now we have a staff that actually makes it feel like a home. Very happy I stayed.

terrible, terrible, terrible

SO i heard they changed management. It doesn't really matter...The new people are even worse. They aren't helpful and so rude. Can't they see their buildings are empty!!! That's why people are leaving. I am so glad to be out of here...!!<br>Don't make the mistake of choosing ashley park , believe you'll regret it!

not exactly worth it

I lived here for less than a year. Despite the "gated community" (the gates take what seems like 2 hrs to open and auto sensors to put on you car are not given to all tenants), my car was broken into after living there for less than a month. I think that's a real problem at Ashley Park because I know more than one other person living here that also got broken into.<br><br>The pool is not behind the gate, so anybody can show up and hang out at the pool. The spa was broken at least 80% of the time. Definately a roach infestation from day 1 in my apartment.<br><br>Half court indoor basketball court definately a nice touch. Also the apartments have security systems, which is nice. Some of the buildings are adjacent to a major highway, which is noisy. Apartments are in pretty good shape.<br><br>You could definately get worse, but it's not paradise either.

Better than Most

Hey All, I've lived in Apartment Complexes for 6 years now, and they all lacked something. There certainly are times when the office doesn't seem to have their stuff together, but they're putting in the effort. They do seem a bit understaffed at times, but they're always nice to me. My only complaints involve some of the kids in the area- one of which sold me a $5 box of holiday snack mix & never delivered, and another who stole a toy gun I was spray painting on Halloween night; damn thing was only half-painted and very wet paint; dummy! Other than these 2 incidents, I have had no trouble with the kids, so they may just be isolated incidents. LOVE THE LOFT APARTMENTS!

SHE IS NICE!

I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR 2 MONTHS AND HAVE DEALT WITH TAMMY A FEW TIMES. SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN PROFESSIONAL AND ALWAYS NICE TO ME AND MY HUSBAND. SHERRY HAS ALSO BEEN NICE AND VERY HELPFUL.I ASSUME THIS PLACE HAS BEEN SOLD AND I AM VERY EAGER TO MEET THE NEW MANAGER. ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN WHAT WE HAVE NOW. FIRE THE MANAGER

yes the manager here needs to be fired.. if you go to the office before 9 am she wont even talk to you!! shes a -----!!! everyone contact equity before they buythis place and tell her about key the so called manager!! she doesnt care about us. go try and ask her a question. shes always busy and doesnt have time for the residents. shes rude unprofessional and needs to be replaced!!! maintanance is a joke. took the 3 days to respond to my heating problem. if equity buys this place they need to go to. call eqiuty when they buy this place and tell them to come out here and have one day or night where residents can talk to them about the manager key and maintenance. im going to !!!!

Think Twice!!!!

If your first thought is "yes", your second thought should be "HELL NO"!<br><br>To comment on the summary titled "cowards", I really doubt people are lying. If you live here then you know the truth and the reviews speak for themselves. <br><br>Yes, the property mgr is a total -----. When I called Epoch after dealing with this excuse for a manager they agreed that she had a problem with dealing with people but she has actually turned this complex around... which i see no evidence of. If anything I hear more complaints from neighbors. I went over one morning on my way to work about a safety issue that i had been calling about for nearly 2mths. She told me that she could not help me because the ofc does not open until 9a; it was about 8:50a. I went back that afternoon and told her just what I thought about her... obviously when it comes to safety she does not understand liability!<br><br>Yes, beware of rodents! Beware of the paper thin walls. Beware of the mold problem due to poor construction. Ladies be careful walking from your car to your apartment at night because parking is not the best. The club house is nice and the activities are great. Overall, this place is not worth the money..only had I known then what I know now. You understand that living in a complex you expect certain things but this is not luxury like they have posted at the entrance.<br>

Beware!!

While Ashley park may be located in a booming area and appear luxuroius from the outside, several problems exists within. I have lived hear almost two years and have gradually become dissatisfied over time. One major problem that sticks out is the problem I had this past summer with mice. Apparently when these apartments were constructed, holes were left open in the hot water heater room, behind the refrigerator, and behind the washer and dryer. As a result, I caught 9 mice in a period of about 2-3 weeks. Even though I don't live on the ground floor, the mice were still able to get in. Another problem is the management. Although this complex likes throwing social events, the management, specifically the property manager, is neither social nor cordial at all. I do not know why she still is employed here and second the motion to start a petition to have her removed. I suggest to other people looking to move here to look at some of the other complexes in Brier Creek because this one is certainly not worth the price. The closets are entirely too small, they charge you for storage space when the apartments don't have coat or linen closets, and serious mold and rodent problems exist.

has anyone had to deal with thislady with long black hair named key? wow its amazing shes a manager!!! shes rude, unprofesional, and seems like she doesnt care about residents. ive been here for a year and im moving. she was rude to my wife. dont move here and expect her to answer your questions? i cant believe shes still here as a manager. note: go to one of the socials, whens she drinking shes your friend, when shes sober she doesnt even know you!!! i wouldnt recommend anyone to move here. she is a -----!!! dont make the mistake and move here!!!!! epoch should fire here immediately and epoch should come and talk to some of the residents about the so called manager key!!!!!

Its and "OK" place to live

Ive been living at Ashley Park for about 4 months. I havent had any problems out of the management or staff. Of course there are some problems like, parking, construction and the noise form the Airport. Dont leave your house after 9pm or 10pm because when you come back ALL of the parking spots are full. Even the little lots at the end of every row. Another problem are the wall in the apartments are paper thin. Im freezing my butt off at night (when the heat is on 76). For the people who are complaing about the noise from the airport, you knew where this location was before you sign the lease. So get over it!!! When you leave out of Ashley Park you might wanna go onto TW Alexander to get out because, if you go onto Brier Creek Parkway you might be there for a while (traffic is terrible). The apartment that I have is very spacious and the floor plans are great if you are planning to live with a roommate. (Rooms are equal in size). Brier Creek is a busy place and it looks like it going to continue to expand so get ready. <br><br>But overall its a good place to stay.
