Don´t be fooled by the first impression - STAY AWAY
The amenities are great, the apartments are spacious and pretty. The good things stop there. I leased at Ashley Park for over a year from when they were brand new to a year later being run down, poorly maintained, full of mold and an incompetent maintenance staff. The leasing agents have knowingly moved a family with children into a mold-infested apartment without fixing the problem. They only "cleaned" it. There have been several car break ins. There are a large number of hoodlum-type kids and teens running around in groups and they are disrespectful and scary. At night, you don´t want to walk around too much. The residents started off as nice, professional people and lately there has been a less classy type of people moving in. Epoch created this property only to sell it. They are trying to fill it up and they don´t care how it´s done. They will not spend money on maintenance because they are trying to ditch the property.

They look nice, but don´t be fooled.... stay away!
I´m really glad I found this site... hopefully more people will find it as well and think twice about moving here.

So where do I start....... I moved here right when they opened and everything seemed great for a while. The original office staff was nice and seemed to care about the residents, most of the neighbors seemed nice, they had great resident socials, etc. Then things started going downhill fast.

First of all, if you´re thinking of moving here..... DON´T. They have a serious mold problem that they have yet to even acknolwledge much less fix. They have knowingly moved people into apartments that have dangerous amounts of mold. What do I mean by dangerous? Well, I´ve been here a while and I´ve known 3 women that were pregnant. 2 of em ended up losing their babies and the other one had her´s 2 months premature. They finally wised up and moved out, so I´m not sure how things turned out for them. Is that enough reason for you to stay away? Mold is a very serious and dangerous issue and I know for a fact that all of the Brier Creek neighborhoods have it, so if you´re looking at them too, don´t even bother.

The buildings are built on swamp land and are falling down... we have suveyors and "Ram Jack" people out here every few weeks. The rent here is expensive and I thought that would mean safe, but this place is quickly becoming the ------. Walking my dog after dark is always scary and the fact that cars are broken into pretty much weekly is not very comforting either. I frequently see what apears to be gang members walking around in packs seemingly looking for trouble and from what I´ve heard they´ve been able to find it on numerous occasions.

So why am I still here? Believe me, I wish I wasn´t. My lease ends in a few months and I can´t wait to move far, far away from this place.

So unless you like paying outreagous prices to live in a mold-infested ------, then do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. This review may sound overly harsh, but I´ve lived at 5 other places in the triangle and I´ve never lived in a place as bad as this. The last reviewer is right... Epoch management is looking to sell this place and they really don´t care about the residents or the problems that they know they have. Anytime a maintenence tech or a leasing agent tries to bring up the issues to the owner they either get demoted or fired and I know for a fact that that´s happened at least 3 times.

So heed my advice and stay away.... you´ll be glad you did.

Best Place Ever
I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. The staff is there to listen and they try to fix any problem your having. The maintance has improved so much since I´ve been living here. The apartments are over a year old and they are starting to settle so there are some problems there but thats expected, maintance comes right out and fixes it. The club house has everything and anything you would need, from a pool and hottub to an indoor basketball court and a billards room. I truly have to say its the best apartment community I´ve ever lived in.

Had a nice experience
I have lived here for one year and didn´t really have any negative experience with apartment itself and staff members. However, the maintenance response is slow.

Apartment location is very convenient and the area is booming. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping places.

Haven´t had mold problem as described by other residents. Maybe it depends on which building you live in (Mine is building #2).

Overall, I would highly recommand this place.
I could go on forever about why this place sucks!
The apartments are beautiful but they are quickly falling apart. Mold is a big issue and these are only 1-2 years old. Could be very dangerous for childern and those with asthma. Its best to avoid the place in these instances. They don´t mention that to you when looking at the place and its a true health concern.
Some of the neighbors are very nice while others act like they got a "get out of jail free" card. Some are very ------ for lack of a better word and are rude and confrontational. Seems like they have some sort of low income program. Our apartment was expensive and no reduction in rent would make me want to endure it. The staff seem nice but are easily caught in lies. It is worth breaking your lease if you already live there. There is never anyway to park and you get tickets if you park anywhere that isn´t a parking place. Neighbors are loud and the apartments are poorly built so you hear everything little thing that your neighbors do. My apartment was also dirty upon moving in. I wouldn´t recommend this place to anyone. You will be unhappy if you move there unless you like being miserable.

STAY AWAY!!!!!
Hands down the worst experience I´ve ever had with an apartment complex...and we´ve only been there 2 weeks! From finding dried urine on the toilets upon move-in to being physically threatened by a neighbor after reporting a noise problem, Ashley Park is as far from a "luxury apartment" as I can imagine. A staff member has entered our apartment unannounced, closing our cats off from their food, water, and litter box for an entire day. Service requests have gone unanswered for 2 weeks. We are now attempting to move out and are getting a huge run-around and have been lied to numerous times. Please do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live. Ashley Park and Epoch Management = hell on earth.

Just Awful!
My apartment reeks of mold. The neighbor is like the ´Hood´; I´m a single woman and I fear for my safety. The office staff probably used to be auditors for the IRS; they´re rude and uncaring. Maintenance is pathetic. The place is new and it´s already falling apart. Garbage stacked up outside peoples´ doors and no one seems to care. Also, dog droppings pile up and there is no effort to police it. I wouldn´t wish this place on Osma Bin Laden!!!
