I have lived here for almost two years, and since the new company took over, all they do is nickle and dime you. The manager is a -----, but the rest of the girls are nice. However, I agree turnover in the office is pretty ample. I will not renew here next year!

eh
Well I don't like Trinity since the Colonial Grand took over. I am moving after not even being there a year. Parking is a big thing for me. I lost my visitors pass and I went to get a new one and they told me it would be $20. I said screw and got a loaner. Well in the past I got one and I never had to return it. So I assumed this one was the same. Well 2 days later I get a note saying that I needed to turn in the pass and pay $20 plus $7 for every day it is late. I mean come on now. If you have my cell phone number, call and tell me you want it back. Don't let 2 days go by and then ask for money. <br><br>My other problem is people with pets that don't tell the office. Since I was the only person in my building with a registered pet, when someone complained about hearing a dog, they assumed it was mine (there were 5 other dogs in my same building). <br><br>I really wouldn't suggest living here. It isn't worh the price or the headache just o s=be semi-close to campus.

NEW COMPANY IS CHEAP! DON'T RENT HERE!
The previous review is definitely correct. When I moved in it was a great place for a student, although pricey I felt it was worth it because of the amenities. The only thing I hate about the apartment itself is the poor insulation. You can definitely hear your neighbor's bed above you. The business center was closed for several months due to vandalism. It took them almost four months to get crappy old computers and one does not work! The tanning bed was broken for over a month. The turnover rate in the office is crazy. There are new people every week. The new management company is Colonial and is defintely not spending a dime on its residents. They will tow you every chance they get. Ever since they took over there are absolutely NO resident functions at all. No pool party, nothing for Christmas, nothing at all. I can't believe a company would charge its residents for anything they could possibly get and do nothing to keep people here. I'm definitely moving next year to a place and a company that values its residents as something more than just a rent check.

Rent here if you love one great big disaster.
Trinity Commons has been sold so many times to so many different companies it is disgusting! Every time you go in the office there is someone new to give you an even worse response then the person who was fired before them. They have lost our packages, walked in our apartment without knocking, threaten the whole building because 1 person smokes outside (not us) and leaves their butts. There is Dog crap all over the place and they don't know how to change the lights in the parking lot. I could go on and on but if for some reason you get sucked in because they have a tanning bed you are in for some real treats!<br>1) Construction noise and mud all over the place<br>2) Special "notes" on your door every week telling you what awful tenants they have.<br>3) Lost packages and stupid staff members.<br>4) Broken EVERYTHING ie pools, tanning bed, gym equipment, washers&dryers. <br>5) Lies about your rent increasing <br>6) Surprise bills for things you never knew they could charge you for. <br>I have had it with them. When we first moved in this place was wonderful. Great staff, great rent, everything was clean and worked. I didn't even have to give a deposit back then. My cat was free and my friends could come and visit without worring about getting towed. Now this is not the case. <br>They walked in and decided to charge me for a "pet fee" since I never had to pay one when I first moved in. (it even says that in our file) There was a bill on our door because they found a bag of trash in the breezeway the floor above us and did not know who's it was so they fined everyone in the building. My friend was towed because her parking pass was backwards in her car. For someone who has lived there for 3 years they have raised my rent from $650 to a whopping $825. They don't value their tenants at all. I'm done.

ZERO Customer Service
To sum it up they will tell you whatever they think you want to hear to get you to move in. Once you sign that lease the customer service goes OUT THE DOOR. They've got your money and don't give a damn if you're happy or not. So don't move in here and expect anything to be done in a reasonable time or at all. The "amenities" they offer look great on paper, but when it comes to actually using them either they are booked or broken (usually the latter). You'll get the run around until you get tired of asking about when something will be fixed. If you want to be treated like you don't matter move in today!

I like it just fine
I think that this kind of thing is hard, especially a place like here because the complex is so big and one side can have a bad experience while the other side has a great one. For me, I've had a really good one. Yes it's a little pricey for a college student, but the pools are nice and the gym is nice and the staff is nice and helpful for the most part. Sometimes I need to remind them about maintenance requests but they still get done in a timely manner. If you can afford it, I would recommend it, it's one of the nicest places I've lived in.

Everything WONDERFUL about Trinity Commons
1.<br>2.<br>3.<br>4.<br>5.<br>....I could keep going but I think you get it. There's NOTHING wonderful at Trinity commons. The walls are ridiculously thin. Fortunately my neighbor's guitar skills are improving! I have to listen to him play all the time. There is dog s*#t EVERYWHERE....in the grass, on the sidewalk, in the breezeways. It is embarressing to have company over. It takes days....weeks for maintenance requests to be completed....but I think that is the people in the office not doing their job. The staff so fake when it comes to being friendly it makes me sick to my stomach or they are so rude that you never want to go back in there. If I could move out right now I would! Don't live in the first floor if you do for some sad reason decide to live here because if you do you will hear everyone and their dog that passes by.

Love it here!
This apartment complex it A . The staff is very friendly, the maintenance crew are very fast... which really helps when you are in a one bedroom with a stopped up toilet!<br><br>I read the other reviews....um noise??<br>Knock on wood, I have not had a noise problem at all, in fact quite the opposite, I love my neighbors. Now on game day you will see a lot of traffic around the front entrance, so you may have some noise there.<br><br>Overall, great place to live, I will be here until I buy a house!

love it!
I've lived in several different communities around Raleigh, and have found my experience here at Trinity Commons to be by far the best. I've told all of my friends that they should live here...I use the amenities all of the time, which saves money on going out...the theatre rocks and the pool is in awesome condition. I hope to live here for a long time!

awesome place to live
My experience at Trinity Commons was wonderful. The amenities are a ton of fun, the service guys are friendly and know what they're doing, and the staff is always ready to help. The price is well worth it! If I ever move back to Raleigh, this is where I'll be living!

Worst apartment community
The apartments and amenities were nice, but the NOISE was unbearable! We complained about our partying neighbors numerous times to the office. Nothing was done. Called the police a couple times. Nothing was done. Contacted the corporate office (Cornerstone) three times. They never responded. Trinity Commons does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to inforce their so called "quiet time from 10pm to 10am". It wasn't uncommon to get only a couple hours of sleep due to excessive and unsafe partying. In the mornings, the buidling and parking lot would be trashed...broken bear bottles too. I watched at 3:30am from my balcony as someone puked by one car and urinated by my tire. It was a fire hazard also as the drunk partiers threw lit cigarettes in the dry pinestraw by the building. They even had fun throwing glass bear bottles down 3 stories to watch it break on the concrete in the hallways. The staff and management said it was my problem and that "they couldn't control every party at 2am". Nice, huh?

Terrible experience
I had a very bad experience here. The staff is very unfriendly, especially the tall girl of Asian decent (she is RUDE and hurried). There is a new guy that's been there a few months is friendly, but that's it. The biggest problem was the noise. There are a lot of young college students who have massive parties. The staff refuses to do anything about it. I wanted to break my lease a couple months early b/c of the constant parties in my building, but the management was non-caring and rude. I'd like to stand out in front of the entrance and hold up a sign "Do not rent here". And my other non-partying neighbors felt the same way. Go somewhere else with a little more class.

TOO HIGH PRICE, NOISY
We moved in October of 2003, was told that it is a great place to live. Well it is very noisy and the walls are very thin, can hear your neighbor“s conversation. This is not a community for a family, this is a college community, never go to bed at night, party all the time. I have called the police several times about the noise pass 2:00 a.m. <br>and haven“t seen them yet. It is a beautiful place to live, but very expensive. If you love to stay up all night and never get any sleep then move here. Have stairway in the hall, can hear everytime someone comes home or just going up and down the stairs. The staff isn“t friendly at all.

Great place to live
I have been living here since may, which makes it 8 months. I have loved it since the first day I took the tour. The other reviews have been complaining about the crimes that go on. What apartment community doesn“t have crimes that occur? No one has been shot or killed or anyting since I have been out here. The amenities are great and so is the staff. The neighbors are friendly also. The staff plans activities for the residents to participate in. These include movie night, bingo, resident appreciation week, complimentary car washes, and much more. The price is not bad. You get what you pay for. The price pays for the gym, the theater, the pools (we have 2), the tennis court, the basketball court, the spacious apartment, and so much more. The grounds are kept very clean. If you are searching for an apartment, I definitely suggest this place. I love it!!

Please don“t give these people your $!
From the outset these apartments seemed nice (great location, nice staff, etc.) however, this was just an illusion. The noise level became distracting, as well as the availability of parking. <br><br> The main problem--they take advantage of their renters (overcharging them, hidden clauses in the rental agreements, etc.). Please read the fine print on all forms you sign and make copies. They tried to fool me and I was in law school at the time...no telling what they will try with trusting others. <br><br> Also...as if the above was not enough, one of the tenants stole my car. I only got it back when I called the police and the criminal got spooked. <br><br> Just beware of this place. It is a crime haven on many levels. <br><br>

I am out of there!
Unlike others, the staff was nothing but wonderful to me, but they cant control the trashy people that invade the complex. Originally this complex was not open to COLLEGE students. Once more and more students starting moving in the crime sky rocketed and the property went downhill. The biggest mistake was to move 18 year olds onto this property. IT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE A COLLEGE COMMUNITY at all. The amenities at this place were awesome. If you want to party all of the time move in, but if you want to live like a normal adult, steer clear

Close Call
I“d like to offer a different perspective on this apartment complex. I am not a resident, but at one point I thought I would be. I am thankful that things worked out the way they did. I have some friends that are current residents in this apartment complex. They suggested that I consider looking elsewhere for an apartment. Initially, I wrote that off to a few “bad experiences“. I soon found out that Trinity Commons is not a place I would ever want to live. <br> <br>We spoke with several of the staff members there and they seemed nice enough. We were given a tour of the complex and made the decision to live there. Our only constraint was time and we made this very clear. We were told that it wouldn“t be an issue since an apartment would be available in a few short days (which it was). The problem was that we didn“t hear back from the staff for over a week!!! <br> <br>When we didn“t hear from anyone after our projected move in date, we decided that it was time to look elsewhere. Out of sheer confusion we wanted to call and find out what the problem was. In a nutshell, they forgot about us. Lost our paperwork, waiting for verification of rental, waiting for verification of employment for one of the three roommates blah blah blah. I don“t think that this would have been a problem if we had the ability to read their minds. Unfortunately, we were not blessed with this talent so we were S.O.L. No call, not status, nothing for over a week! <br> <br>In their defense, I did receive a call back almost 2 weeks after the initial visit. I have to admit that my feelings were hurt at first, but after thinking about it I realized that I owed the staff a great deal of thanks! <br> <br>My only advice to this place is that they really start paying attention to their surroundings. I do believe that this is a nice place, however it“s not the only place around here to live. Potential residents should not have to fight to get in. I have nothing personal against the staff; I just think they would be a better fit in the Manhattan market where a shortage of housing actually exists. <br>

nice, but overpriced
I“ve enjoyed it here overall; the amenities are great, but I have never used most of them. Nice pool and grill. Fabulous gym, w/ individual TVs at each cardio machine. My only issue there is that there“s not enough space to stretch out or do situps. I must say, I“ve tried reserving the on-site movie theatre 3 times, and only once did they actually remember to put the code in. That can be a bummer if you“ve invited a bunch of people over with the expectation of a movie night. <br> <br>The staff“s OK--though it“s laughable that rent is only going UP in such a bad economy. Hard to believe the claim that they“re "turning people away" when there“s so many empty porches! <br> <br>The location leaves something to be desired; the only good thing about it is that it“s close to I-40. Everything else seems like a haul, and if there“s an event at the RBC center forget about that easy access to 40--it“s blocked off. <br> <br>My overall opinion: it“s OK, but I“m not willing to continue paying so much for it. <br>

Community is nice
I have lived here for 4 mo and I like it here. The only issue I have is the Leasing Manager. She is very fake, Everyone else is nice and take care of our needs. I like the extras like the tanning beds, nice gym and nice pools. My roommates have lived here for over a year and have been treated good as well. It“s a little on the expensive end.

We moved to NC over the summer and only had a few days to try and find an apartment...big mistake by not taking more time. We made a very bad choice by moving to Trinity Commons. The first impression of the staff was awesome in June, but by the time we moved in at end of summer, the staff had completely changed. They now consist of a bunch of rude college students who work there so they and their friends can do whatever they want, when they want. We were told that this was going to be a community consisting of mostly "young professionals", I don“t know what your definition is, but mine is not 18 year old college freshman who don“t know how to pick up after themselves and party 24-7. The complex is quickly deterorating due to too many people with too many dogs who do not clean up after them. It“s digusting. My dog has gotten sick more than once this year because of other people“s laziness. We moved into one of the newly built apart and it already looks like it has aged 10 years. Everything is falling apartment, we have a service request about every 2 weeks. Amentities are nice, but never available. The tanning bed is digusting!! It is never available and when it is it has a film of sweat on it. I could go on forever, but I think I have gotten my point across....avoid living here!!!

Started off great then got progressively worse, now it is mediocre
When I first moved in I loved it. Everyone that lived here had to be a professional, not in school, and the staff made sure that tenants were considerate of others (i.e. no noise late at night, dog mess was cleaned up, etc.) Then the construction started and we got bought out by another company. Since then, it went straight downhill. You must watch where you step becuase you will step in dog poop. My neighbors play their TV and music so loud, I don“t even need sound on mine. Also, be careful of filthy neighbors, they will get the place infested with bugs. The office staff will do nothing to inforce the rules. Sure they will tell you that they will fine the people or evict them, but they never do. The amenities are nice I guess but I never use them. The parking is terrible. Don“t plan on parking near your apartment unless you get home at 4 in the afternoon and stay home all weekend. <br> All I can say is this place used to be great, always clean and friendly, now this place is dirty, unfriendly, and overcrowded. They should have never added the addition. I would check out all the apartments down the street if you want this location. They are cleaner and quieter. Good Luck, especially if you get suckered into Trinity Commons.

good not great
ok so this is the deal.... i have been placed in the "new" auxilary section over by the high school and to be completely fair i must admit that the parking is satisfactory, and besides the ping of aluminum bats on baseballs durring practice and the friday night band sessions, the noise level is also acceptable here. the staff are curtious (not to mention hot.... yeah that means you sue lol )and the initial price was fair for the size apartment we got. now on the downside is the safety issue. i“ve seen more than 1 shady character on the premises and do not have my girlfriend go anywhere here at night without me. also the quality of construction has left something to be desired as well. of the half dozen things that were wrong at move in maintenence has done a satisfactory job at being timely and efficient at repairing them, but sadly can do nothing about the sinkhole in my den or the faucets and plumbing sticking outta the walls in my bathroom. ( also, whats that smell from the drain? ) anyway, long story short.... good not great, may or may not renew.
