I LOVE THE VILLAGE COMMUNITY TO THE EXTENT THAT I HAVE REFUSED TO BUY A HOME. IN FACT I WANT TO MOVE INTO ONE OF THE TOWN HOMES. THE SHOPPING COMPLEX, THE DINNERS, JUSTTIRES, DRUG STORE ACROSS THE ROAD , BANKS AND GREAT SCHOOLS MAKE THE VILLAGE A CLASS OF IT'S OWN. CLEAN, DECENT,LOW DENSITY AND EXCELLENT MAINTAINANCE CREW MAKES THE COMMUNITY A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. A SENCE OF SAFTY AND SECURITY ENVELOPING THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY MAKES THE COMMUNITY AN ENVY TO OTHER PARTMENT COMPLEXES.

This apartment community is quite terrible and it's solely due to the incompetent staff they have. The manage doesn't know how to train any of the staff, probably because she is incompetent herself, and they continue to provide incorrect information, lose payments, send incorrect pricing and dates, and write emails that are barely legible at times. It's absolutely insane! and the worst part is that THEY NEVER TAKE FAULT! It's always YOUR fault. I read the crap reviews on this place before I rented but thought "this won't happen to me, that person was just mad" but with all of the other competition in the area, it's worth looking around and getting a better deal without the huge headache. Trust me - DON'T rent here!!! I've also seen cockroaches on my balcony, the pet park is infested with mosquitoes (hence why no one is ever there), and the grounds are not cleaned up after from pets or trash. It's gross, just go elsewhere.

The Village is a very nice community that's is pet friendly and convient I have never had a problem with current management they have always been fair and responsive to any issue or request I may have had and the maitance team has always been quick and professional every time since day one and that is defiantly a great feature.

DO NOT move into these apartments! The employees in the office are forgetful and the maintenance personal are inept at best. This is bad enough, but at move out they will try and get you to pay for upgrades that are their responsibility. If you do choose to live here, which is certainly your decision, document EVERYTHING that happens and fill out the move in list completely (the form that you put all the issues that you see prior to moving in). If you call maintenance to come fix something, document if it was completed or not through an email to the office. Basically, cover your back! I received a bill from them for $1700.00, $250.00 max would be my obligation. All in all on a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a minus 3 (it would be worse if not for the location).

My 83 year old mother was without air conditioning for over a week - during heat wave - over 90 degree weather! I live out of state and thankfully found out and got her out of apartment. She could have died! Very upsetting, to say the least!

This is an OK place, nothing horrible but nothing great either. My main disappointment is with a maintenance request. I had a light fixture come loose from the ceiling and was just hanging there with exposed wiring. They didn't not see this as an emergency, did not respond to my e-mail or phone call asking for follow up after the online request was submitted prior to the weekend and I had to physically walk to the office over the weekend to get an answer. I was told they had other emergencies and it was going to have to wait until Monday since some other residents had A/C units break. Well, it's been 50 degrees and I feel like that was a lie (which made me angry and is why I'm writing this review). I was also told no one is available but I know there is always someone on call over the weekend. So I will have ended up waiting 4 or more days to get a light placed back in my ceiling with exposed wiring and only received a "well, sorry" after I was physically present and couldn't be ignored. Other than the maintenance issue, the office staff is usually friendly and quick to respond. The downside is the quality of how the apartments are upgraded. There are tons of white paint splatters all over my bathroom floor and toilet and the carpet seams are uneven. Plus there were tacks exposed near the entry. I can't vacuum over that area because the carpet lifts up and frays. The carpeting is brand new but it wasn't placed very well. The "business center", which is listed as an amenity, has 1 working computer, 1 broken computer, and a non-working printer/copier. As of this weekend they have not been fixed and it doesn't sounds like it's going to be anytime soon. I was told by the office staff "some days it works and some days it doesn't" The office staff is accommodating by letting you use their office computers to get what you need, which is very helpful. The location is great and the grounds are kept up well. Fairly quiet too. Nothing is going to be perfect. Hope this was found helpful and honest.

I Have lived in this wonderful apartment community for the pass 3 years and I am without a DOUBT renewing my lease for another year! I cant say enough about the management, leasing agents and residents here! What can i not say about this community? From the day I toured the village until I moved in everything was AWESOME! It is such a great safe location with great prices! Their are several residents and families that have been at the Village for 8-13 years that says alot! Most communities you have moving trucks left and right....NOT HERE :) The village is also well maintained from the lawn care to the new updates! Close by to the area malls, highways, schools ,grocery stores and dining! Come be apart of MY community today! Don't let someones bad day turning into a bad comment RUIN your new HOME!! :)

This is the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. The entire living experience would be much, much more better if the I was treated better by the staff. My daughter and I were quite unpleased by the way staff treated us. We had already gone almost an entire week without air conditioning on the third floor, with all the windows open, door and all the fans on and the temperature still at 79 degrees. When we tried to go down to the office to try and break the lease we were very poorly treated and completely disrespected when complaining of the temperature in our apartment. Not to mention this isn't the first time our air conditioning has been out for long periods of time. I wouldn't even recommend this complex to a pig.

Apartment needs renovating as over the years wall patches and layers of paint have disfigured the wall surface heavily as well as the woodwork. Additionally, electrical wiring needs attention. I am not getting the same quality or even near it as it was first rented for. I expect rent to increase over the years,... but, quaality needs to match that.

Leasing agents were pretty good to work with. Rent is decent. Main complaint is with the quality of appliances. Who ever heard of a stove without a clock and timer? Kitchen faucet is the rock bottom lowest quality. Dishwasher sounds like a freight train. Not broken, just the lowest quality appliances available... actually not available. You can't get appliances of this low quality at Best Buy or Sears.

Really nice place to live in apartments. Friendly environment of neighbors and pretty clean grounds. Big speed bumps to keep cars from speeding since there are many families and children that live in the community.

I renewed my lease in October. YES, I renewed. I have felt nothing but safe here at the village. The maintenance guys have been across the board, awesome, since day one. I've called about small things that I thought they would put off for weeks as "non-essential" because they were not of hugely imperative, but they are always there. The staff is friendly, they try to arrange community events to give the residents a chance to get to know each other better if they want to. We've attended the Christmas party, Halloween party, Community Yard Sale.. etc. The office staff are friendly and helpful, they know who you are when you walk in the door. It is a level of customer service that you do not expect living in a city. The location is the best! A minute from 540, 8 minutes to Crabtree, 11 minutes to Brier Creek.. I love the location. SAFE!!! I actually accidentally left my garage door open all night one night, No one has bothered anything. Our close neighbors have all met each other, we know each other enough to know if something is wrong. Great School districts nearby. I personally have not experienced any real issues with noise, in the last year, but I will attest to the fact that the staff does care about the community and the happiness of the residents. There are no wild, all night parties, and if there was, I believe it would be dealt with. CON: I would add three things to make this community perfect, A basketball court, A play ground, and a deeper pool. On the grand scheme of things, these are conveniences not necessities... As I said, I renewed my lease.. ~ Happy!! ~ Heather

The ratings on 03/04/2015 has to be a staff member. These apartments are awful. If you move here make sure they show you the apartment upfront before signing your lease. You will be very disappointed.

I have lived at the Village for many years. There have been a lot of staff changes through the years but this staff is fabulous! Marianne, Crystal and Ashley couldn't be more caring, friendly and courteous. If I have a problem, it's fixed! Also, the maintenance staff are A****. If ever I need something fixed, they are right there! I think highly of all them. Kathleen

We have lived at the Village for just under a year and just decided to not renew our lease. We have enjoyed living here for the most part. We live on the second floor so we always hear the loud yappy dogs under us and the lead-footed stomping around in the unit above us. But hey...when you live in an apartment you can't expect total quiet neighbors! We are not renewing because management is going to raise our base rent by almost $100!!! They are a Greystar community which my husband and I have had issues with in the past. On a positive note, we have always felt safe in the neighborhood, the grounds are well kept, maintenance has been quick to respond to any issues we've had, management is nice, and our power bill (for our 1 bedroom) has never been over $80, even in the hot summer or cold winter! I've been living at The Village since November and absolutely love it! Friendly staff and no negative surprises after moving in! Good gym, lighted tennis courts and I can't wait to use their awesome pool! Close to 540 and in a great neighborhood with many restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. Highly recommended!!!

I lived here for a year and the staff is very friendly, they make up for the structure being older. If you are interested in moving here see Ashley. She is the best and will work with you to get you leased. The apartments are older (the inside of the apartment do not look old) and they provide great services. Throughout the year, when something happened to the apartment it would be fixed within a couple of hours, which is nice. There is a diverse group of people. I would definitely recommend for a year lease.

I stayed in a 3 bedroom garage apt. The noise from the riser room right outside the front door is horrendous and it penetrates through the front door and walls. It never stopped but one time and that was because the sprinkler in the closet busted so they had to turn it off. Heating and air was always an issue. Spiders where an issue but we dealt with them in our own way, plus cockroaches. The staff is very nice and do tend to any issues. They go by their own bible which will have you in their debt. They will nickel and dime you for any and everything. I don't like that they charge for garbage pickup and extermination with the price of rent it should be included and valet garbage pickup doesn't show up sometimes, the exterminator was useless so i never used him again. Maintenance can be good at times depends on whose the supervisor at that time, which a good one hasn't been around. The apartments are overpriced for the condition they are in, they are old and outdated the porches stay dirty because of the rain and dirt.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I honestly don't know where to start. The office staff lost one of my roomates Jcrew packages, whomever stole it (office staff or resident) is hopefully enjoying her free clothes. We had a hole in our ceiling leaking water every time it rained for 4 months and after it was "fixed" the same spot opened back up larger the next time it rained. The windows need to be replaced, if you still have roaches after pest control comes and sprays the office staff just throw there hands up in the air like "I don't know, perhaps make friends with the roaches, braid eachothers hair at night". And its not like rent is cheap, its really average for the area and they nickel and dime you for everything. When my roomate and I got a qoute for our rent when we signed it suddenly went up $20, and every rent bill is different charging admin fees at random. They charge you valet trash fees and additional trash fee just to have the dumpster on the property. Also this past fall we got some sort of cryptic letter that someone had been sexually assualted on the property, so sleep tight knowing that. Clearly I would not recommend this place to a friend, or a stranger.
