The staff member ----------. Is rude and did not show me the amenities the first time went to view the apartments I had to go back to view everything because she was so slack on her job and when I made a decision for another apartment somewhere else she got upset and was acting like a minimum wage worker with her attitude thank God I did not lease with this place they have problems and I will make sure higher management know about this.

As a LONG term resident of The Village apartments my review is that I am thoroughly disappointed and dissatisfied. The office staff literally changes every 6 months and some of them are very incompetent to almost clueless. The grounds use to be absolutely beautiful but now trash is everywhere. Even when you go to the dumpster to throw away your own trash, people apparently can't throw theirs away and decide to dump it all over the ground in front of the dumpster. Lastly, it takes 3 weeks for a light bulb maintenance request to be completed and other service request. Never had an issue with maintenance until the constant changes in staff. The only selling point for living here is the location. I will not be renewing my lease, which is sad because I really enjoyed living here. With no updates to the apartments interior décor in years and rent is becoming astronomical I will definitely be moving.

I wanna be real with the next person looking to move into the Village. . . Upon initial drive through, this neighborhood appeared pleasant, quiet, and like a place my partner and I would be happy to call home. We were very very wrong. The office staff failed to inform us of some vital information regarding our unit; behind the trees across from our building is a huge, relentless, life-sucking dog kennel that tortures our attempts at peace with each waking moment. I am going mad. We approached the leasing agents with this issue, and they heartlessly informed us that all they could do is move us into the same floor plan on a lower level for HIGHER rent, or we'd have to pay 2 months rent to break our lease. Low. So we are trying to deal with the dogs, despite my allergy to whatever earplugs are made of. Today is the 10th of June. They told us the pool would be open around this time LAST MONTH. It's hot, very very hot, and there is no pool available. Again, nothing being done. They just put water in it last week for crying out loud. We confronted the office staff once again, and they told us it would be open by the end of last week. And here we are, 95 degrees, sun shining, my day off...with no pool. Icing on the fiery cake from hell- Valet Trash. It is not an option, it is a direct order. You MUST pay thirty dollars to have some guy come to your door and take your trash. But then sometimes they don't when they are supposed to. So really, they just take your thirty bucks. For your sanity, do not move in here. Or help me in the movement to have this place shut down. Most Dreadful Regards, H & R

Terrible. Do not rent here or any graystone community. Their "computer" pricing system is a joke and it has zero flexibility. Once you sign lease, you will be screwed for remaind of time. The staff turnover in the office probably exceeds 200% per year as there is someone new every time you go in. This is probably because the staff realize they are just punching bags for the computer prices and they realize they place is a load of garbage. There's has been a recent armed break in (which they did not alert residents about) and a sexual assault which they did send a letter about to tell you they can't do anything and it is up to you... Again, an impersonal piece of trash reply. The pool is still not open because they decided to do improvements and wait till end of may to start... How stupid could you possibly be? Finally if you do not receive your rent bill and you go in the day after it is due to figure out what is going on, they will still charge you a late fee. Even if all the checks are sitting right in front of your face undeposited! I liken this place to dealing with an airline. No one ever takes initiative or responsibility for anything that happens. Ultimately they tell you there is nothing they can do as they have to go by what the computer says or corp policy. It therefore makes no sense why these people are even paid or have a job.

Greystar's on-site Personel is terrible. Property poorly maintained and unsafe. Dozen's of exterior security and address lights have been out all over the property for 6+ months, even after the Office was notified. Pool is still closed into June due to poor scheduling of repairs that were needed since last year. Property charges Monthlyfees of $30.00 valet trash pick up in addition to $6.00 additional trash fee, $1.00 pest control fee and utility admin fee of $6.35. The Compactor was broken for 4+ months this year and trash was piled up at the entrances and in temporary roll-off construction dumpsters. the $30.00 Valet waste program is sporadic at best and often off schedule resulting in the resdient having to take trash to compactor or bring trash back into home after the 4 hour official pick up window has come and gone. Or you can leave it out for the next days pick up and receive a warning letter. Security lights are out everywhere even after recent assaults on Resident's severe enough for Greystar to deliver warnings door to door advising Residents to contact their renters insurance provider and refrain from walking alone at night. Constant turnover in maintenance department. If you can reach the Property Manager while She's on site (Which is not often) she will deflect responsibility onto following Greystar's procedures & practices. In Raleigh If you are looking for a Safe, well lit property that's swimming pool is open in June and doesn't fee you to death with services that aren't provided then steer clear of Greystar's "The Villages"

I have lived here with my 13 year old daughter for 8 months. We absolutely love it. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. As well as the maintenance team. Even when it is a small request it is handled timely. All of the neighbors are friendly and I never hear noise or people hanging out in large groups. Even when I come home at 2 am I feel safe. The grounds are extremely well kept and the whole pool area and barbeque dining feels like a resort. I love that we are in walking distance to the grocery stores, Rite aid, Kmart and lots of other shops. Oh! not to mention the free Wi-Fi in the lounge and the unlimited coffee/snacks available every day. What a plus! The staff goes out of their way to have events to foster a community living. We had a holiday dinner, and a free Christmas wrapping center all of December, A garage sale, free breakfast days to honor their residents, and much more. What could be better!

I have lived at the Village for 2 years now and I've very much enjoyed it! I have no had any major issues. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Maintenance has always been there quick and done the job efficiently. The area around the village is its biggest attraction for me though. Within walking distance, there are many grocery stores, shopping, entertainment (movie theater), and restaurants.

We are in a 3 bedroom with 2 car garage apartment and love it here. Our neighbors are nice and quiet. The leasing office are always helpful and when there is something that needs fixing they do it quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend the villages. Only issue is being on the first floor our heat vents come from the ceiling so it does feel cold at times in the apartment.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. FURIOUS RESIDENTS. We paid top-dollar to live in a great location - and that is ALL. We had legitimate problems with the downstairs neighbors for more than half a year--they smoke on their balcony, making it impossible for us to safely enjoy the balcony we paid for, or open the door or windows on a nice day. Keeping in mind that a big selling feature for us was the balcony and lovely view, it was infuriating that we never got to use it. The second, and largest problem of all with these same smoking neighbors is that they left their dog locked up, barking and howling all day, starting at the crack of dawn. Management has not resolved this issue after months and MONTHS of our calling and practically begging them to fix the LEASE-VIOLATING neighbors. But, even with evidence, the barking went on. We are FURIOUS that we have been paying good money for this apartment and couldn't sleep or be comfortable in our home. After such a hellish living experience and poor management involvement, we will refer The Village to NO ONE.

Poor Service. Dismissive office staff. Dirty buildings and breezeways with litter everywhere. Absent management company. Property forces all residents to pay $30.00 + $6.00 = $36.00 per month in trash removal fees when the service promised is not delivered and has very restricted pick up times. So most residents must take trash to on site compactor which is always overflowing, filthy around entire area and very muddy throughout access walkway.

It's a great community, the office staff is phenomenal! They're friendly, competent and well trained on the inner-workings of apartments. I've had a very pleasant and drama-free year here and I look forward to renting from them again.

The area around The Village is nice. There are a lot of grocery stores and shops in walking distance. However, these apartments are over-priced for their age and the lack of any renovations. The prices keep going up and don't reflect the quality of the apartments. A three bedroom apartment here is only worth one thousand dollars but they are charging hundreds more than that. Also, the rent goes up $150 to $200 between leases. Its very hard to pay more for the same apartment for no reason when you are not getting any more for your money. The apartments, like any, occasionally have mice and there are seriously large roaches that come out of the ceiling vents and come out as soon as you turn lights off at night. We spray with a very effective roach spray but they still get in. We kill 2-5 large roaches a week. Its hard to rate these apartments without thinking about the location so I think most good reviews are about the area and convenience, not the apartments themselves. They should have new appliances, crown moulding and new countertops for the prices they are charging. I don't think they truly care about their residents when they charge so much and raise the rent between leases. It causes huge turn over and hurts the residents. Its very opportunistic. I can't recommend living in a place that is too old and dated for the prices they charge and where you will be forced to move because you won't be able to afford the huge rent increases.

Office staff is nice as well as Maintenance staff but the maintenance still has several work orders on my apartment they have not completed yet. The leasing consultant was very nice and drove to my work with my set of keys but it was still disappointing to hear they misread a work order and instead of double checking it they just decided to drill out my old lock to get access.

Grounds are well maintained. Apartments are dated but clean and common areas have been recently updated. Garage apts are nice and quiet. Starting to see alot of chrome wheels in the main apt area but haven't heard of any incidents yet. Fairly safe community.

Overall, the Village has been sufficiently convenient. Danielle was with us from the beginning- interacting with her has always been pleasant. We had a negative experience with the previous manager but that is no longer an issue due to personnel changes. The current staff is responsive and professional. The grounds are clean and attractive. The location is extremely convenient. Rent is still somewhat reasonable for the space provided.

The Village has been a convenient and safe place for my family. The grounds are well maintained and any maintenance issues addressed promptly. I was shocked at the nearly 20% increase in rent from our initial lease though and am occasionally irked by the "garbage police" notes on the rare occasions that the bin isn't brought in by 9 a.m.
