I've only been here one week and I know I'm not renewing my lease here. Says there open Saturdays but the leasing office was locked. Apartment was t cleaned properly when I moved in. It was hair in my washer & dryer & it has a bad odor lingering in the apartment since I moved in a week ago

It has been great. I've lived here since 2020. But there was a shooting in the complex and the only thing that was done was an email sent saying they were talking to the police. Nothing more was ever said.

It's okay, too expensive though, and yearly rent increases that are excessive and exploit the legal right that is afforded to leasing companies to account for legitimate expenses and inflation?. The management has used this tactic yearly and chosen the highest possible amount to add to renewed leases, with no legitimate reason other than pure greed and disregard for customers that have provided reliable payments on time and have ensured that a particular unit will earn the company its return value for the duration of the lease renewal contract? it's just a very commonly accepted practice and it's blatantly a grab for any cash that the Tennant can provide, very much in the "give an inch- they take a mile" or the "we got this much out of them, let's see if we can get even more this time, we know they will pay on time!" Mindset?. I find it irritating and it's unfortunate that our society has so many practices that have become so prevalent that everyone just goes along regardless of the obvious lack of logic or ethical constitutionality?. But I digress, my experience has been okay, just tired of the inexplicable and inexcusable increase to my rent every year and the only alternatives being to move all of my ----, after conducting a thorough search and securing a new apartment to settle into and enjoy one year of reasonable (although likely still higher than necessary) rental price before renewing and being gouged for all I am worth just because I lived one year in the space already, paid on time, caused no issues, and saved the staff time/money/effort they would have spent on the cleaning/inspection/replacement/renewal etc. work upon my moving out?. They get to not pay for any of that and allow appliances to be utilized for another year. It's a seemingly good thing to have reliable tenants remain in a unit and continue to use and pay for the same thing? yet it seems the management companies prefer to force tenants out by taking advantage of the situation and choosing to get as much out of them as possible regardless of their satisfaction or ability to afford the rent after it's increased so much?. Housing market is out of control, but somehow my apartment that's now 5 years older than when I moved in and has all the same ---- still?.is costing me more than many mortgage payments and pretty much ensuring I'll have to eat the cost of moving (solely to secure a better rental price, like just hopping to another complex in the same area when my lease ends to get the initial lower cost offer because this place has become more expensive than Manhattan Upper East Side apartments? just because? why not?

The apartment complex overall is in a nice/ convenient area. You have access to many stores that is walking distance. We were mislead of the amenities that came with the apartment. The model we toured had ceiling fan in the living room and marble counter tops and were told we were going to have the same exact thing which was not the case(we chose a renovated unit). We had an issue with a/c the first year it went out multiple times. (Multiple quick fixes until all options were exhausted) other than that, Maintenance do a great job and will get to your issue in a timely manner. Overall, the neighborhood is decent to be in the north side of Raleigh. Very dog friendly.

The Village is a wonderful place to live. The surrounding area is chock full of great eateries..shopping stores and other enjoyable places to frequent. Although The Village has a really good exercise facility..Planet Fitness is right across the street. And, if you want to get out for a brisk walk, great parks are nearby
