My sister and I had been looking for a place for about a month and we thought we had found the perfect place that fit all of the needs that we had wanted. I was going to be moving across country not just the city, and she was in the city. After they had already taken my sisters deposit they kept emailing her and calling her telling her that the people that were already in the townhouse were not willing to leave because they had not found another place to live yet, which in all reality is not our problem. After a couple of days of fighting with the manager known as Valerie Hill my sister had finally gotten a call from Valerie's boss, nine days from our move in date mind you, telling us that the people in the townhouse, we were promised were not going to be leaving and they would put two grown women in a one bedroom apartment and only give us $200 off of our first months rent, she also said that compensation of the price of storage was not her responsibility for us. Needless to say they are all snakes, I will tell anyone who even mentions that they want to live there not to because you might not have a place to go. I am absolutely horrified at how unprofessional this business has been ran.

I lived in CMP from February until July. I had to vacate because of a job relocation to North Dakota. I HATE that I don't live there anymore because it was one of the best places I have ever lived. The office staff is nothing short of spectacular. Missy, Valorie, and Vicky are top notch and really care about their residents. If I ever move back to Oklahoma City, I will be trying to live here again! Thank you CMP for a great time!

I've lived at CMP for two years, and I love living here! The office staff is very friendly, as well as being on top of everything that I need done. I'd never lived in an apartment before, and I didn't know what to expect, but I've been pleasantly surprised. My apartment truly feels like my little home, and not an apartment. I have a garage attached to my apartment, which I absolutely love. The grounds are well-maintained year round, and maintenance is always happy to help me. the spartments have parties on some of the holidays, and drawings for concert tickets every few months. I can positively recommend living here at CMP!!

The apartments are nice and are kept up and well maintained. Office staff is generally friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint was that everytime my lease was up the rent was raised considerably. After 2 lease renewals i was no longer able to afford to live there anymre. They said they raise rent by market value, but when your rent jumps $40 or more a month each time you renew you soon find yourself out of your price range. Every person I talked to has said they have always had a rent increase when their lease expires, it has never stayed the same amount. Just be prepared to adjust your budget accordingly. The apartment was very drafty and cold in the winter even though I tried to insulate the best I could. Biggest complaint though was there is only one trash dumpster at the front of the Apartments that is a compactor. It always fills up and over flows and people just dump their trash all around it.

We sold our house and needed a temporary but safe place to live while looking for our new house. The people who live here are professional people or families. The grounds are kept up and maintained. The parking is enforced which is refreshing. The staff are very quick to help and get things fixed when needed.

Going on my 3rd year here. Have had nothing but a hassle here. Here are the main problems. 1: Staff is a no-go. Rude or combative. 2: The gate is always broken 3: Parking is horrible. The spots are for compact cars yet I get sandwiched in between to giant trucks. My door literally opens only 6 inches. When I asked to switch parking spots 2 spots down where no one has parked for 2 years, I was told I couldn't and if I want to pay $60 a month more I can have a garage that was 4 buildings away. 4: They have raised my rent $90 a month for a single bed in 2 years....Yet my neighbor with the same floor plan pays $30 a month less and my friend in the next building pays $60 a month less!!! For the same floor plan!!! 5: They don't tell you that they use a 3rd party company to handle the online rent payments. If you use your card you have to call these people and pay an additional $17 a month just to pay the rent. 6: The apartment complex decided to make it a violation to smoke on your own balcony with an ash tray..They urged the other residents (via flyers) to take pictures of people smoking and that it would be a $150 a month charge to your rent if caught. This means I have to smoke in my apartment (which I don't do) or walk all the way down and out to have a cigarette. 7: For amount of money they want, and for what you get and the apartments themselves... you are paying too much. No microwave, no washer and dryer, the apartments are very basic with no real "luxury features" as they claim. 8: They are a COX cable ONLY community. You have to use COX only. No dish networks, etc. I pay $220 a month for my bundle just to get half the sports channels I would only pay half that for. 9: I had to buy my own door seal because when it rained, water came in from both balconies and front door. I called it in and no one came to fix it. Same goes for the broken toilet, etc. 10: I am 99% sure that the electric for the lighting in the parking lot, sprinklers, etc. are tied into your electric bill or split among the buildings. When I leave town for a few months and turn off ALL breakers, my electric is over $100 a month during the summer (no A/C running, etc while gone...only the fridge). In the winter while gone for several months, I set the heater at 55 degrees for the pipes and my bill is only $40 - $60 a month. For the most part.... it is peaceful.. that's about it. For $800 a month you can get the same or better down the street with covered parking, etc. I can't wait to move out. The fact that 3 different people with the same floor plan pay 3 different amounts means something is fishy to me. I was shown the rent amounts on their screens by the other 2 which has me making a few calls to the owner of this "chain".

                RUN AWAY.

The staff is RUDE, NASTY, and unprofessional. Missy is the worst manager possible. The "professional maintenance" workers are a bunch of idiots. I had to call the office to have my heater/AC worked on a total of FIVE times. The apartment claims to guarantee compensation if something is not fixed within 24 hrs. This is an absolute fraud. My AC was broken for over 2 wks. The maintenance clowns do not properly fix anything. The security gates rarely function and are left wide open. Parking is a nightmare. My assigned parking space is 1/2 the size of the others. My car was even hit when parked in the "go cart size" parking space. I reported this to Vicki/Missy three times, but the issue was never addressed. I finally had to rent a parking garage for $75/month, since I was never given a properly sized parking place. Ridiculous!!! HIGH CRIME!!!! Aparments are always getting broke into, but the gates rarely function and the doors only have one lock!!!!

                  So far, so good!!

I just moved in recently, but so far the staff (especially Vickie) has been wonderful!! I said "especially Vickie" because she leased me the apartment, and I appreciate the fact that she wasn't pushy at all. I don't like pushy sales people, and I wouldn't have leased the apartment because a sales person tried to push me into leasing it. Missy, manager, and Gina, assistant manager, are nice and very efficient, too - I just haven't dealt with them as much. Vickie was also new, but she was very knowledgeable and what she didn't know she checked out and got back with me quickly. All of the staff is very good about following up on things, and they all have a great personality (which I appreciate so much)!! I was kind of worried about the friendliness and efficiency of the staff from some previous reviews I'd read on here, but so far those comments haven't proven to be the case. I have a few things that need to be done since I'm new here, but so far the staff have been nice and helpful and work orders have been turned in and a some things have been completed. I hope the rest of the things I need done will be completed in the same efficient manner. The maintenance staff is very fast to jump in and fix things, also. So far, I'm very happy here, and I would recommend it to anyone. It's been a short time, though - I'll write more later!

                    Staff & Property!

I've been currently living at Crown Martin Park since June of 2010. My living experience here has been nothing short of wonderful! Any issue I've had, large or small, has always been dealt with compassion, due diligence & a positive resolution that same day! Plus, the Staff (Missy, Gina & Vickie) are great at following up and making sure, not only was your problem corrected but, that you're satisfied with the outcome! One time I saw the maintenance man on another job near my apartment. I knew he was "busy" but I asked him to take a quick look at the alarm in my apartment. He didn't complain at all and checked it for me. He reset it in a matter of seconds and made me very happy. He didn't tell me to "check in" with the office like he probably should have. He just took care of it! Outstanding! During a recent snowstorm, I was trying to help out a fellow resident who's car was stuck in the snow. It was fricking cold outside that night! Instead of being inside and being warm with her own family Missy, the property mgr, was out there with us trying to help people get unstuck! She didn't have to do that. That speaks to the type person she is and how she cares about her residents! I know people are going to get on here and leave, mostly, negative feedback. Rightfully so if that was your experience. However, where's the feedback when the experience you've had was POSITIVE? I truly feel that Missy and her staff don't get enough credit for the great job that they're doing. When the Staff does great work we tend to dismiss it as them just "doing their jobs". Perhaps. However, shouldn't something be said when someone is not only "doing the job" but doing it EXCEPTIONALLY?! My living experience at Crown Martin Park is by far the best I've ever had in apartment living. BAR NONE! Sincerely, Will (on an unrelated note, this website won't show QUESTION MARKS. I've tried to use them after the 2 capitalized words POSITIVE & EXCEPTIONALLY. Instead they've inserted APOSTROPHES. What's up with that?! LOL!!!!!)

Security gates are constantly open, noise levels are high, parking is impossible (other than your own space), staff ignores repeated maitenance requests, units are overpriced. Turned in my notice to vacate at soon as I could. Apartments are not well insulated and windows are cheap and drafty.

                        Staff

I have lived here for quite sometime and let me tell you... this is by far the worst staff I have ever in my life dealt with. They are dumber than a box of rocks, can't remember one thing, and I mainly feel like they live in la la land. I am not one to complain about people, but I have had more than one problem with them. And trust me I am not the only person to have this problem with them. You can talk to any one of the residents and they will tell you the same thing. I will say that they are nice but it's like they don't comprehend what you tell them. I honestly dont know how they know where all of the paperwork is located. It just blows my mind that they even have a job... On the other hand the apartments are nice and peaceful. I like that they try to keep the gates working. And the buildings as a whole need some repair. But if you do have a problem with something in particular... especially in regards to payment or a major repair.. make sure you keep all of your paperwork and phone records with them. Oh and the policy of "If not repaired in 48 hours or less you have free rent" is a joke!!

I am considering moving to Crown Martin Park. The apartments are really nice, the grounds are well maintained, and the staff I have dealt with have been great. Granted, they're trying to get me to sign a lease, but I take exception to these two "reviews" that state that the "staff is rude and horrible". That's pretty lame. Please give us examples and tell us why you feel the way you do. This website is supposed to help us choose a good apartment community, not take pot shots at someone you don't like. It sounds like you didn't pay your rent on time, got a late fee, and it's suddenly the apartment management's fault that you screwed up. Please write a constructive review--and be honest with us as well as yourself! We really want to know your experiences at this complex, but please take some responsibility for your own actions as well.

                              Great place to live!

We've lived in numerous apartments in the past 12 years and I have to say that this is one of the best. I was suprised to read some of the negative comments on here as we love our apartment and the area. Our apartment is huge and more upgraded than what you normally see at other complexes with quality construction and much nicer features. The community has all the regular amenities (pool, fitness, clubhouse, tennis), it's nicely landscaped and well taken care of, and it also has numerous areas with swings & grills to cook out which we do alot of! I agree with other posts on here that the maintenance staff is excellent, as is the office staff - particularly Missy. You also can't beat the location since you're literally less than 5 miles from all kinds of shopping, dining, banks, medical, and the mall..The parking is the only detriment since you only have 1 assigned space (or a garage with 1 space in front of it) but at least it's assigned vs open parking where you could end up a long way from your building. Besides, there's ample 'open' parking up front and if someone does park in your space the towing company arrives quickly after you call them! This apartment and the complex is well worth the price - and feels more like a home than an apartment.

So I have been at this complex for a year and have seen many interesting things. First off the rental rates are different for everyone; they cover this up by stating that you were signed on a 'special'. I have yet to two people, with the same two units, have the same rent. My neighbor has the same 1bed/1bath and he pays over $100 more a month than I do while my other neighbor pays $50 less. They also love to renew your lease at $20 increments; so being a loyal tenant means nothing to them. Be sure not to mention you have a pet until after you move in - they will stick you in an unit with horrid carpet and then tell you they won't change it because it is a bad investment on their part; however I have seen plenty of new tenants get fresh carpet before they move in (just not pet owners). Its really too bad because my money is just as good as theirs so why shouldn't my home be just as nice? Sadly the jacked rent and dirty carpet do not match up to the amount of crime in this complex. In my year there, I have known of 8 break-ins. There is a complete false sense of security. I have filed a few police reports myself after seeing some sketchy stuff. I was really excited when I decided to move in here and then it has been one let-down after another. The staff has an open ear to your complaints, however they are really powerless to do anything. Just avoid this place, head down the street to The Park on Memorial

Low % of recommendation?! NO WAY! This place is great!

We've been here since 10/09 and have had nothing but good experiences here. We have a beautiful one bedroom with garage and absolutely love the apartment. Our apartment, the A3G, is equipped with a walk-through kitchen which is something that I've never even heard of in an apartment. When one enters from either the front door (which in this floorplan has a window next to the door, not a little window, but a tall 15" or so wide window equipped with blinds) or garage they are in the spacious living room, on the left is the hallway that leads to the bedroom and bathroom and to the right is the dining room, connecting the two is a walk-through kitchen that truly gives the apartment a big feel! I've seen kitchens that go from the garage to the living room but never one that is a true walk-through in the middle of the unit. The staff truly bends over backwards for you regardless of the issue. Elvir, the maintenance supervisor, literally is usually at your door within an hour of you reporting a problem. We were supposed to take delivery of one unit but we ended up not liking it for a couple of reasons and they did what they could to make it work. While we ended up in a larger unit, they sure did all they could to help us out in determining what it was that we wanted because we had some trouble exactly put our finger on what was wrong about our first unit. The grounds are well-kept and the community is friendly and more upper class than one may normally associate with an apartment complex. There are washer/dryer hook-ups and the range and oven, freezer with ice maker on top of refrigerator, and dish washer are included in rent. There's a beautiful pool, tennis court, large community garden at the rear of the complex, work-out center, club house, and office/fax privileges at the main office. The ability to pay rent online can be very convenient too. The only things that we don't care too much for is the limited parking and water pressure (which is only an intermittent problem). Regardless of the size of your apartment and number of vehicles you have, you are only allowed one parking spot per apartment and if you have a garage you don't get a spot; we just park our other car behind the garage as there's plenty of space at our unit and, just by looking at other units, I'd assume that this is the case with the other units too. Additionally, the only visitor parking is at the extreme front and rear of the complex. Handicap spots are conveniently distributed throughout the complex but don't count on using the ones by the mailboxes/fitness center/laundry because, due to the lack of parking, nobody follows the law. All in all, we're very happy and probably wouldn't hesitate to renew our lease if we elect to stay but have been looking at buying/building a house. The whole complex is nice and we have no major complaints. The outstanding/above and beyond maintenance service is a huge plus as they make sure to take care of the needs of their residents. While we haven't had any problems (yet) this doesn't mean that you won't, and I'll be sure to write up and problems and another note when we decide to hit the road. Overall, it's a more expensive complex but I certainly recommend stopping in and talking to the staff to see if it's right for you!

I recently moved out of these apartments. I do believe the "free rent" signs have attracted a different clientele recently. When I moved in a few yrs ago there was a wait list, recently it's free rent to get the units occupied. I caution you about the roof of the entire complex. A major storm last yr severely damaged the roof (there were shingles everywhere in the parking lot) and they have been negotiating with the insurance company ever since according to staff. My building leeked and was minimally repaired. I have no complaints about maintenance. They truly do care, are friendly, and do the best they can to fix things however they know how, and call in professionals if needed. I did notice that when they do come and knock on your door, there is little time to answer before they use a key to open the door. The fitness center doesn't cool well, it's nice, but the treadmill was broken for months even when management was aware it was not working. I like the previous management better. They were more professional and wanted to make you very happy. There is more vandalism to the complex now then in the past, kids to run around unsupervised at times, and I do not feel it is as safe as in the past.

                                          Not Children Friendly

I have lived here several years and as a parent of one of these so called "unsupervised" children, I can say as of lately, this is the most unfamily friend community I have ever lived. The children are expected to be seen and not heard. All the children are expected to go in the second it gets dark even if it's 6:00pm. The community is gated and the majority of the children play in the center of the courtyard where there are always a minimum of 3 parents monitoring them. Children have no play areas what so ever in the community so they are constantly being told to leave areas and go away. Now if you re a college student or single adult looking to party, throw furniture in the pool when you re completely drunk and leave the pool like a college dormitory, then by all means you have the perfect home here. The activity is actually expected of you and condoned. The staff is dealing with what seems like two sides of the fence and it s extremely difficult to manage two sets of life styles. I can't say the maintenance is an issue because I have nothing but positive experiences and everyone has been friendly and reasonable on the staff. I would just say if you have children of any age and would like to simplify your life and avoid drama, rent a house. I know the Deer Creek schools are a huge attraction, but quite frankly the drama and attacks your children will receive by the adults just isn't worth the money you pay here. Yes, we are moving because it has just become too much to deal with on a daily basis.

I have to agree with Carolyn09. I had been in my apartment for 3 days and my front windshield on my car had been smashed by a baseball. Unfortunatly, we (me, my husband, and management) couldn't be for sure which one of the kids did it so I was out of pocket $350 to get it replaced (it was under my deductable)...and the apartment complex sure wasn't going to pay for it. I was a little upset as well though that the complex does not have security that regularly patrols. They will only come out on emergencies....hmm...might as well call the police. The children do tend to get very noisy, but I believe the parents need to take more responsibility for the noise level and for supervising their children so they aren't out vandalizing other's property. Kids play, that's understandable. But parents have to remember they are living in an apartment complex so noise levels affect many more people than if they lived in a house. I work overnights as well, so it's really annoying when I'm sleeping during normal business hours and the kids are playing right under my window (which happens alot). And of course their parents are likely at work, so they are unsupervised. I believe parents need to be much more responsible for their children.

                                              "They" do not hate children...

In response to "Anonymous", I would like to make the correction that Crown Martin does not hate children. From what I have seen, and HEARD, the children here are no different than children anywhere else. The problem is the parents who have no respect for other members of the apartment community. I have made numerous noise complaints and the staff at Crown Martin has always been quick to respond, apologetic and just as frustrated as the rest of us. Unfortunately, housing laws do not permit the singling out of individual units, so the brunt of the action must fall on other tenants. I am not the only one that has complained and, again, the problem lies with the parents not the children. These parents shove their kids outdoors and basically treat the complex as some sort of giant baby-sitting facility. They would never send their children alone to a public park but seem to have no problems releasing them to the greater apartment community. This is the equivalent of living in a housing community and letting your children play in the yard next door. Despite claims to the contrary, the children are not supervised and I feel this is extremely dangerous, not to mention negligent, on the part of the parents. Due to this nonchalance, this place is a major accident or abduction waiting to happen. If you have kids, I would probably think twice about moving here just because you wouldn't want your kids caught up in all of this. On the other hand, if you don't have kids, this is a great place to live. Gated community, alarm-monitored ready apartments, quick maintenance turn-around, assigned parking, and a helpful and friendly staff. The apartments are spacious and the noise level between floors is at a minimum. All in all - a great place to live.

This is the worst place to live. They hate any children. It is suspose to be a family apt. complex, but all you hear is keep children indoors and not to let them make noise outside. They will not keep noisy adults that are drunk in the middle of the night and screaming and cussing quite, but let kids out during the day and after school and they are not allowed to make noise. If the people living there does not want to be around childred they need to live in adults only apts. The new people that are manageing the apts not, since march or so of 2008, are the worst and will not do anything. Nothing is ever fixed and it looks like slum area now. The rent gets higher but nothing is being done.

Crown Martin Park is the worst apartment complex I've ever lived at. The management is constantly changing and they are extremely unreliable and dishonest. When maintenance took over a month to fix my cracked kitchen floor and broken garbage disposal, management refused to offer their policy of discounting my rent based on maintenance's slow response to my service request. They will do anything to save a dime here and there, including shoddy maintenance and having a low-quality apartment complex. Furthermore, the crime is getting really bad. Theft and car vandalism are just a couple of bad incidents that have taken place since I've lived there - I've also seen the police called out on a number of occasions. Who would have thought Gaillardia would allow a ------ apartment community to move next door? If I'm going to live in a crime-ridden neighborhood with rotten landlords, I'd rather save my money and move to the south side.
