HUGE Mistake!
I moved to Crown Martin Park back in May to a one-bedroom townhouse, which is not available with an attached garage. Therefore, I rented 2 detached garages for $75.00/piece. I paid $150.00 for three months until I decided to move into a larger two-bedroom apartment on the same property. After the move and giving up the two garages, I found out that my NEW neighbor had been offered the same garage for $50.00/month. While this may not seem like a huge difference, two garages (a savings of $50.00/month) adds up to a substantial amount of money. The office's excuse was that they had run a special on the garages. BS! When I asked for one back, it was still coincidentally $75.00, and they would not work with me at all. The apartments are in horrible condition. There are cracks all over the ceilings and walls, and the stairs are practically coming off. The lighting is bad at night and parking is horrendous! There is limited parking, and often people are in your assigned parking spot. The manager of the property is a joke. She does not walk the property and does not respond to any requests. She's pretty much a glorified secretary. The assistant manager does a great job, and I hate that she has to work in such an environment. The gates are always broken. Therefore, the "added" fee for this security is a waste. The dumpster is always overflowing and management does nothing about it. There are holes all along the side chain-linked fence; armadillos come over and attack our pets. The "T1" internet that they brag about is ridiculous. It is out all of the time, and it is a shared connection throughout the whole property. This means that at night, when several people are online, it is as slow as dial-up. Management has restricted cable internet to be installed, thus the only way to have a dedicated connection is through dial-up. My lease is up at the end of December and I am positive that I will not renew. Do not move here... it is a rip-off and a poor excuse for a "luxury" apartment complex.

I Love It Here at Crown Martin Park Apartments!!!
I've got a beautiful, spacious 1 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor, w/ a really large enclosed attached garage. The landscaping here is beautiful and the grounds are very clean. I feel very secure here at Crown Martin Park Apartments. I've thoroughly enjoyed taking advantage of the T-1 High Speed Internet Service they provide for 6 months at no charge. The maintenance crew is responsive and accurate. I've got great neighbors and I am fortunate that they are quiet neighbors. Parking is not an issue for me because I have an attached enclosed garage, however, if I have more than 1 guest, the additional guest parking is quite a hike from my apartment. A minor inconvenience, hardly worth the mention. The front office always has drawings for prizes that are really nice prizes. I've seen large color TV's being given away, a bistro patio set, a large tent and camping gear, just some really fantastic give-aways. Good incentives on referrals ($100 off your rent). The staff is pleasant and professional. I will continue to recommend Crown Martin Park Apartments.

Great Apt. Complex, Poor Parking
I´ve lived here for 6 months. I like it real well with the exception of the parking. They do however assign you one reserved parking space per apartment, so no problems for one person. The staff is very friendly and professional. The maintenance has also taken care of the couple of problems that I had very quickly and accurately. The fact that it is close to the turnpike is also a plus. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an upper class property to live at. They definitely have a number of amenities that make up for the higher price.

I like It
I like living here at Crown Martin. I´ved lived in several other areas over the years but never in a complex that is not only great to look at but also with an excellent management team. The parking is unfortunate and is the only thing I would change. The complex is very quiet and I feel very safe.Other then owning my own home, this is the perfect place for me.

I´ve been mostly satisfied...
with living at Crown Martin. I love the natural lighting, but I don´t like the setup of my particular floorplan. My living room has a large window, doors, and a fireplace so there´s no way to comfortably watch tv. it looks good, but i´d like a place that looks good and is also comfortable.
the maintanence department responds quickly, but i need the same work done again. they´ve fixed a couple minor things, but i have had other things fixed (they didnt do a good job) so they need to be fixed again. Also, the doors on the ouside on my baconys have needed to be repaired, btu the answer was they used to be under warranty, but someone painted over them. they´re still not fixed.
the manager of the complex is outstanding. i´ve never lived in a place that had such an awesome manger. She´s great. The fairly new assistant has been great too. They´ve always been quite considerate and helpful.
Parking sucks. For the most part I haven´t had a problem, but there have been some instances in which I came home and a car was in my assigned spot. It´s aggrevating, but fixable.
My neighbor is polite, but very shady. The people living across from me are cool though.
I was disappointed the first time I went to the pool, as it´s only 3 1/2 or so feet deep. But the gym is good.
I´d say overall. I like living here, but there are a lot of things i would change. I´ll live here for one more lease then plan to buy a home. I think it is silly to pay to live here when i could be paying on a 100,000 house instead. I would move now if it wasn´t such as hassle to move twice. It´s worth it to me to stay here for now.
A good experience at Crown Martin Park
Overall I have had a great experience here at Crown Martin. The one complaint I have is the limited parking. I have twice come home to discover that someone else has parked in my assigned spot, which meant that I had to park in the visitor parking which is about three buildings away. The office gave me warning stickers to put on the person´s car, but if I had opted to I could have called the towing company and had them towed right away.

Regarding pest problems, the office has been very quick to clear up two issues I´ve had in my apartment. The first was a problem with ants around the fireplace - I called the office in the morning and they responded that day by 1) calling the pest control company and scheduling them to come and spray and 2) sending maintenance to replace the caulking. One night I discovered two wasps in my apartment, and the next morning I called the office and two hours later they had a maintenance man in my place. He found a wasp nest on my balcony and took care of the problem right away.

There have also been a few times that my neighbors have had their music up way too loud, but there is a Courtesy Patrol number and they are quick to respond.

I have enjoyed living here, my apartment is great, and the staff has been very nice and responsive to the few problems I have had. I almost chose to live in a different complex (The Park at Memorial) but I´m glad I didn´t - I have friends that live there and the service there has been a 3 while the service here has been a 9. Even though the parking stinks, I would rather have a well maintained apartment with a responsive staff than all of the parking in the world.

Great Experience w/Advice
I had a really great experience. After looking in NW OKC, I found Crown Martin clean, new, well maintained and managed, SPACIOUS, nice facilites (gym/pool/cluhouse) and competitively priced.

Additionally, this apartment attracts the type of person who is willing to pay a little more to eliminate the issues that may arise with "better priced" communities. The community is incredibily homogenous if that matters.

As for the comments mentioned earlier. Pests have been problematic for some. I lived on the 2nd floor and never had this problem. Parking IS AN ISSUE. My advise to help with this is to ask the agent to show you apartments near the back corners of the complex. If you opt out of the "paid" reserved parking (as I did), these areas of the complex provide more visitor parking spots. The only (two) occassions I had trouble with parking was occurred on Sunday evenings.

Comments are relative to that particular person´s experience, of course. I happened to have a very positive expereince and would select this place again.

parking does suck, but....
my overall experiences here have been great.

i love my apt. and i work at mercy hospital so i am just a minute from work.

i love the T1 internet. and i have met lots of nice people here. i love that they have a dinner for their residents every month. they have a garden for the residents.

i live on the third floor so i havent had any problems with pests of any kind. also, the noise isnt that bad.

the parking is a problem, but i will get around that gladly, to live in a community that is filled with such caring residents.
safety is a definite concern of mine and that is why i chose to live here. there is an intruder alarm on all the doors to each apt. also living on the third floor, most would not break into an apt so high. i am female and living by myself, so i need security in the apt i choose to live in.

NOT SAFE!!!
I live in Crown Martin Park Apartments and have, in the last month, had both my car and my residence broken into. Despite promises of more security, nothing has been done to curb the safety concerns. When paying over $700/month rent for an apartment, it just seems that security would be the least of my concerns--it obviously is now my greatest concern, as I no longer feel safe in my own home. Insulation and rodents are also problems that many of the tenants here have. It would also help if the people in the office seemed like they cared, even a little. We were told, "there´s nothing I can do about it, I mean, I didn´t do it."

Awesome apartment complex
I have lived at Crown Martin Park for about 3 years now. I love my apartment. The first management team they had was not so great but since Brenda has been here things have been so good. They go to a lot of trouble to have parties for us and they give away prizes all the time. I won a carribean cruise they gave away 2 summers ago and I have never gotten anything like that from my apartments. I have lived in many apartments like Pinehurst, Summerfield, and Crown Pointe and these have been the best. Yes parking was a problem before but things are much better now. They also pay you if have a friend move in so on that note I have always recommended them and always will.

"Pests" are a BIG Problem!!
I am currently living at Crown Martin. Although I like the layout of my apartment, I am experiencing a couple of problems. I have lived here the past few months and about two months ago, I saw a mouse running in my bathroom. I freaked out as I have NEVER had mice ANYWHERE I have lived. It was the weekend so I went out and bought traps, poison, glue boards, etc hoping to catch the rodent and I did. I caught that one and another one. One evening while returning home, I noticed a dead mouse next to my fireplace. Just the other day, I was in the dining room and I noticed something that I thought was lint from the dryer...imagine my horror when I realized it was a dead mouse. I just hate this...it makes me feel so filthy and makes us not even want to eat in our dining room. It is gross.
There are human pests as well. I can´t begin to tell you how many times strangers have knocked on my door late at night and I have no clue who they are or what they want. The other thing is about two months ago the fence surrounding the perimeter of the complex was hit during a wreck. Two months later and it is still down...so much for security. The management here told me that the reason for the mice was because we are next door to Martin Nature Park. I pay over $700 a month for a two bedroom apartment here and have to put up with so much stuff. I will not be renewing my lease here. The place is pretty nice but I would not recommend renting on the first floor due to rodents. May I also mention that there is a "stale" odor in the apartment everytime we walk in? Might be dead rodents in the walls?

Parking
I concur with the packing critique. It is a mess! They have also place
fore adult males on the top level of a three story complex. They haven´t
been still since they have moved in, and the floors creak. I can tell you
exactly were each Man is located when moving from room to room.
Crown Martin No-Park
Having lived at CMP for over a year, I must
also confess that parking is a real mess for
residents. Don´t be surprised if you are
forced to park several blocks away from your
apartment building. This is more problematic
on weekdays than on weekends.

There are some regular problems with the garbage compactor that tends to break
down often. So, garbage does get piled up
for days until someone repairs the unit.

Also, don´t expect "high-speed" internet on
the T1 connection since it is shared by all
in the community. You will get better speed
by subscribing to Cox with a dedicated cable
modem line.

Overall, a nice community if you can handle
the quirks.

Great community atmosphere.
I currently reside at Crown Martin Park. Although I agree with the other comments about the parking situation, a remedy is under preparation by the most outstanding management team I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The amenities are well worth it; far outweighing the cons. I highly recommend that if you are looking for a place to live to stop by and have a look. You won´t regret it!

overall nice place to live
this is a nice complex, the bugs and lack of parking are a big concern. there are not enough spots for the vehicles. every night there are vehicles forced to park in handicap zones or fire zones, not safe.

The only real problems are the lack of parking available, and the darkness. Staff is on top of everything. Very responsive and helpful. Good place to live, if you don´t mind parking and walking several blocks.
