Just renewed our lease...
My husband and I just renewed our lease and couldn't be happier! Our apartment is light and roomy and any problems are taken care of within one day by the maintenance crew. The grounds are kept up very well...there is even a maintenance guy who picks up the dog poo once a week(even though tenants are supposed to):)

Look at the apartment before you move in
I flew out to Oklahoma City last year on a job transfer and had 3 days to find an apartment I moved into Crown Martin Park because the leasing agent showed me a wonderful apartment that had just been leased but the tenant had not moved in as of yet i was strapped for time and took one sight unseen belieivng i was getting something comparable. The apartment that i eventually recieved was filthy, the dining room had urine stains from the previous tenants Dog and the carpet was nasty and had black hair along all the walls the appliances were dirty and needed cleaning before i used them. I called to make complaints and even had the carpet cleaned twice. The stains are still there as a daily reminder and i feel that i'm paying for a substandard apartment.

1st Impressions mean everything! (BAD)
Saw the apartments from the road today and decided to stop in to check out some of the floor plans /prices. We were greeted by an empty desk and it took them a couple of minutes to come out and say hi. They were fully aware of us because there was a desk in the back and 3 ladies talking, laughing and just having a good time. None of them appeared to be a resident, all of them looked to be workers of the office. After standing around a woman finally came out and asked if she could help us out. A little frustrated I told her what we were looking for and she asked us to wait a second while she went to the back to get her price sheet. After standing around for another 1 - 2 minutes I then again glanced through the window to see what the hold up was. There she was standing back there talking with her co-workers laughing and having a good time. This was extremely frustrating and just plain POOR customer service. My wife and I had seen enough to make up our minds up that this was not the place for us. Also the qualifications were a little steep. I can understand the want to weed out some people but 4xs the rent and no less than PERFECT credit was acceptable. Everyone has their stumbles in life, and its good to see companies like this could care less. I gave them all around bad reviews based on this alone because they do not deserve any higher for not giving their potential residents the time of day so I will spend my hard earned cash elsewhere, I suggest you do the same. In closing, If I could rate the staff less than a 1, believe me I would do so.

I WISH I HAD READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS BEFORE I MOVED IN!! I DON'T HAVE ONE GOOD THING TO SAY ABOUT CROWN MARTIN. *MANAGEMENT SUCKS *PARKING SUCKS *NOISY *CHEAPLY BUILT *OVERPRICED APARTMENTS *ONLY ONE LOCK ON THE DOORS - SAFETY IS REALLY AN ISSUE AT CROWN MARTIN! I reget moving in and my advice to you is DON'T!
I do not recommend Crown Martin Park to any of my friends or co-workers. You do not get the value for what you pay for an apartment. They increase rent everytime you renew your lease. I've lived in many apartments before and my rent has never been inflated like this. There are some sketchy people who live in this complex too - I've seen theft and assault since I've lived here. As soon as I find a decent house, I'm moving out. The management is terrible. They do not quickly address problems and they do not care about the tenants at all, just getting their money. I've had several maintenance issues and one time the maintenance person forgot and left his key in my door after he was done so I potentially could have been robbed. No telling how long it was left like that. One of my friends lives at an apartment down the street on MacArthur and has nothing but positive things to say about their management. His rent has actually gone down since he lived there for being a good tenant. Crown Martin Park's excuse: they're not in the same "class" as us. It may be an older community than CMP, but they've definitely out-classed CMP by far. No amount of fresh paint or landscaping can cover up a lack of integrity.

THE WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX I HAVE EVER LIVED IN!!!
The management of this apartment complex turns over daily! They don't care about the residents at all. They change policies and procedures so many times you can't keep up! Yesterday I got a note on my door saying I had a $50 late fee and needed to pay my rent. The only problem was that I had already paid my rent. Turns out they deposited my check (from the rent drop box) 3 days early so it would not clear my account. This is a new policy! They have never deposited the checks from the rent drop box until the first!!! When I and another resident of the complex pointed this out to them they said there was nothing they could do and still charged me $50 extra dollars for an already over priced cheaply built apartment. ANOTHER HUGE PROBLEM IS THE NOISE LEVEL!!!I HAVE NEVER LIVED IN AN APARTMENT THAT WAS BUILT SO CHEAPLY!!! PLEASE DON'T MOVE IN HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT THE MINUTE YOU DO. EVERYTHING FROM PARKING TO MAINTENANCE TO MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE AT CROWN MARTIN PARK!!! HOW MANY TIMES CAN I SAY WE HATE LIVING HERE????

Please Don't Do!! You'll Regret it!!
I lived at CMP for a year, I hated every second of it. There were sooo many problems!! 1. Maintenance 2. Parking 3. Neighbors 4. Office Staff 5. Grounds!!! 1. Maintence - I repeatedly asked for my windows to be fixed because they were ALL broken. I couldn't open some, others fell open when the wind blew to hard, and others were loose and made my apt drafty! The windows never got fixed in the year that I lived there. Also, I woke up one morning to have the carpet in my entry, hall, and half of my living room SOAKED! My air conditioner had been leaking. So I called maintenece and there response was "Put a towel on it" so I did. I called two days later because it had gotten worse, the maintenence man that came to look at it said, "Well you should stop spilling liquid on your carpet and it would dry" WHAT!??! Two days later he brought an ENORMOUS fan up to my apt to dry it. When that didn't work he Finally decided to look at the air conditioner to find MOLD growing in it!!!! We were transfered to a different apartment so they could "fix the problem" OH and not to mention that I had to pack up EVERYTHING by myself and move all over again!! 2. Parking - They assign ONE parking space for a two bedroom apt. This is ridiculous! So the other person has to either park in the front by the offices or in the VERY back of the complex where they have guest parking. WELL if you park in the front you need a code to get thru the gate (the one u walk thru), they change this code CONSTANTLY so you just might get locked out or have to walk thru the gate tht the cars drive thru and rick getting run over by all the drunk college kids tht live there! OF course you could park in the back where there is no lighting and risk getting abducting, raped, and murdered. Then i'm sure ur body would be disposed of in Martin Nature Park never to be seen from again... 3. Neighbors - Maybe I was just unlucky but the people that lived under me were perma-fried. They constantly had a blunt lit. (or at least it smelled that way) My apartment REEKED of weed from my neighbors below me and no matter how many times I complained NOTHING was done about it. It was awesome for my infant sons lungs too!! THANKS CMP!!! Oh and if you plan on sleeping on the weekends, I recommend getting a hotel room. Music is blairing Thursday-Sunday! 4. Office Staff - Do they even exist. The only time I have ever seen someone is when they are showing apartments or when they were banging on my neighbors door demanding that they pay the rent! NICE! REAL PROFESSIONAL.... HA!! 5. The grounds... They have ONE trash compactor at the very front of the complex which is ALWAYS overflowing and makes the entire complex smell like rotting animal corpses. Although, that stinch could be coming from the many many many dead possums, skunks and armadillos that line the streets of CMP. All the animals with a death wish wander over from Martin Nature Park and rome the streets, stairs and hallways. I'm surprised I didn't get rabies while living there! Also, the lazy people just leave there trash in front of their door (so the racoons strew it EVERYWHERE) or simply leave it on the side of the street for everyone to see... NASTY! Next, there is animal crap everywhere! They never clean the pools. People that don't live there use the workout room and make leud comments to anyone tht comes in. And if you have children make sure that they don't get a hold of the condoms that float around in the pool, or the needels that decorate the grounds!! YIKES!! Overall this place is a waste of a TON of money. It smells, the people suck, and parking is a nightmare. I feared for my life when I didn't get to park in my space! OH and not to mention, if you park in an assigned space that is NOT yours, prepare to be TOWED! The pizza delivery man had his car towed after it had been in a spot for 15 minutes (he couldn't find my apt.) how sad. People that live there are sad and pathetic.

Nice Place if you can afford it
The one bedroom is large enough to have two full size beds in the one bedroom apartment which is great if you cannot afford their two bedrooms - large closets and plenty of storage - the only downsize is they advertise free internet and that is not true - the advertise tv monitored gates - this is only available if you have cable tv - the tv in the kitchen is annoying it takes up space.

Apartment living....
I will start with the good things. The floorplans are great. There are several to choose from and when people come over, they are impressed with the size. I have a 1 bedroom townhouse and LOVE the design. The office staff (Brenda and Jennifer) are absolutely great. They are very attentive and anything you have concerns over or whatever, they are there to help. The pool is very nice and seems to bring in alot of outside attention. The landscaping is nice and is always well-kept. I no longer have neighbors around, so it stays pretty quiet and I never really hear anything. I have never had to have maintanance come out (in the year I've been here) It seems like they keep a nice place.<br><br>Now the negative...<br>Parking is a -----. You have one place assigned to your apartment no matter how many people live there. You'd think it'd be nice knowing that you'll always have an available spot but it's a hassle to wait for the tow truck when someone else parks there. There is ONE trash dumpster for the ENTIRE complex. If you leave your trash on the balcony (which alot of people do until they can hike it down) the racoons are insane and tear it all up and leave trash everywhere. So having to drive your trash to the dumpster is a pain. I share a balcony with my neighbor which is dumb. I have no privacy it feels like. Rent is high yes, but it keeps out the people you don't want in here. They had advertised FREE INTERNET...then right when I moved in...they took it away... I will not be signing another lease but it's only because the rates went up. All in all, I enjoyed staying here. Oh, and make sure to REALLY think about it before you get an apt. on the 3rd floor...now THAT is alot more trouble than I imagined.

I don't know why people are complaining, it's been good for me.
I love it here. Here's my story: When I first came to CMP, I read this site AFTER signing a lease and I though, "holy crap what have we gotten ourselves into." BUT! I've lived there for a year and a half now and things have been fine. No roaches seen, no black mold seen, no rats seen. I suppose if you want to have a home that everything is PERFECT you should get your own place. CMP is very affordable and is very nice. I couldn't have asked for anything better. There have been problems, but seriously, there are problems everywhere! I say if you are going to work with any staff member, just ask for Brenda. She's the only one that I will work with, but she gets it done.

These apartments appear to be acceptable at first glance, but the lack of insulation was not my biggest problem. If you have an suv the spaces are really tiny so either you get door dings or a garage that's really far away. half the people here go to uco so they have roomates. I've never lived anywhere with assigned parking and it was never a problem, that's because those places actually built enough spots for each apt to house more than one resident with a car! So if you do live with someone or have friends over they will be parking in front of the office, which is at the very front of the complex if they are even empty. Then if you or your guests park in someone elses spot, you will be towed with in 30mins!! I had a friend who didn't think that rule applied to them get their car towed by the apt staff, they were nice enough to take a picture of the car before it was towed, but seemed to have a problem handing it over after the car was damaged by the tow truck! When I confronted the manager about it she claimed that she did not have to give the pictures to that person or me until the coporate office told her to do so. This was the first and only issue I ever discussed with the manager after I moved in, not only was she rude, but she was not open to any suggestions to improve the parking situation. And last but not least my roomates motorcycle was stollen!

Lack of Ethics
The attorney for this apartment complex appears to have purposely sabotaged an oral settlement agreement between this apartment complex and a former tenant. This attorney wrote up a contract demanding that a former tenant sign a contract on behalf of any friend of hers, the term friend being defined as anyone who could be traced to have had any association with this tenant. <br><br>The tenant knew that this violated legal ethics she must uphold, and this contract demand violates the legal ethics the attorney involved is required to uphold. No person has the right to contract to restrict the communication of others. <br><br>This contract was so broad that it requested that the former tenant make sure that no person she has any contact with could make any disparaging remarks about the apartment complex. She was told to control her friends by the attorney involved and that this was not negotiable and that nothing was negotiable. Pretty big statement from someone who is subjecting his tenants to such a large amount of liability after someone offered them forgiveness with virtually zero compensation. <br><br>Tenants who currently live at this complex who know this former tenant have been asked how they would feel about promising this person not to make any disparaging remarks about the apartment complex at a legal event this evening. A group of people from the legal community who were present were irrate about such twisted dealings by this complex, the management, the ownership, and ESPECIALLY the attorney involved in such highly unethical conduct. <br><br>The former tenant was told by several attorneys sitting at the table that she would be violating legal ethics to sign such an agreement on behalf of others whom she has no authority to contract for. This tenant CANNOT attempt to control the right of others who know this person to express their opinion about the apartment complex, and several attorneys want copies of the agreement to take to the bar association because self-policing requires us to report and correct these kinds of dealings. <br><br>A contract such as this is not only invalid, it is illegal for one to contract on behalf of others without the authority to do so. The attorney involved was trying to trap this former tenant into signing something highly unethical AND illegal that could easily prevent this individual from entering the practice of law. <br><br>The former tenant involved had been very upset by the medical bills she now faces and other losses the apartment complex subjected her to, but had been encouraged by her peers to offer and olive branch before turning in a claim that will amount to over $17,000 in medical bills, pain and suffering at the usual percent of that if the problem can be corrected with one surgery, property losses, and emotional losses - all in all claims amounting to over $40,000. <br><br>This former tenant agreed that the Lord would provide for her medical bills if she turned the other cheek against mistreatment on a scale this large - a very hard thing for this individual to have even considered doing by those who know how devastating this has been. The former tenant is an avid jogger - one nostril of the former tenant's nose collapses due to uneven air flow in her nostrils due to an injury sustained at this apartment complex due to faulty shelving. The apartment management is a company that were the former builders, so from what I know a similar past incident need not have occurred for the complex to be put on notice that the shelving was a danger.<br><br>This former tenant runs with a cut piece of a straw in her nose and will have to put up with this bothersome problem until it can be surgically straightened out. How's that for a daily reminder of the people running this apartment complex and how little they care. From what I know, they never cared about how badly she was hurt, the apartment complex only cared about denying any responsibility despite her ex who was an eye-witness. They've split up, but people see what they saw and this person said it was likely he'd be ordered to show up and be subjected to the apartment staff again to testify at the jury trial about what he witnessed. <br><br>A law firm partner has already told this former tenant he wanted to take her case and would do so without money coming out of her pocket because the claim was one a strong one. This former tenant decided to take the summer off for the most part to handle this problem if that was what was put on this former tenant's plate by the apartment managment and attorney choosing to continue the conflict. <br><br>The decision to stir all this up again and make it the talk of the town again was that of the apartment complex's and their advisor. The matter was discussed after this tenant left after several people, some seemingly half-serious sounding, joked about how they might be forced to sue her if she did sign the agreement. <br><br>As worded, the contract demands that anyone associated with this former tenant in any way shape or form (who is still stuck here or who is ever stuck living here in the future) from voicing any comment about the apartment complex that is not flattering. <br><br>So if you live here and are associated with this former tenant who was royally screwed over by this place, and this apartment complex then treats you like dirt, you wouldn't be able to even speak of the bad treatment or warn others you know to avoid this place. They not only want tenants to eat (you know what) AND like it, this apartment complex wants tenants to do so in silence as well. Anyone else find that incredibly telling?<br><br>What happened to this former tenant was old news until she sought ethical advice tonight saying that she did want to turn the other cheek and have done with all contact with the people involved with this place, but that the written agreement was beyond anything she could ever hope to control and would only serve keep her tied to the people involved with this place with constant legal claims that any bad opinion of this apartment complex, spoken or written, was one of her friends. <br><br>This debate was widely discussed after this individual left the event and never have I seen so many angry attorneys or students. Most think the attorney involved (and I'm not allowed to post his name although he is now an infamous character after trying to pull this) is playing out a personal vendetta at the expense of his clients who don't know that the clause is invalid, unenforceable, illegal, and unethical. <br><br>This attorney's clients were offered a gold mine to settle up the amount of harm caused for the cost of restoring a former tenant's rental record and forgoing attorney's fees totalling less than 1/40th of the amount of the claim soon to be pending against this complex AND they were apparently ADVISED by legal counsel to blow it! After this complex is sued, they may be able to turn the loss on their attorney - now wouldn't that be a disciplinary case involving a sizeable reimbursement to hear about.<br><br>The topic of this apartment complex has been a non-issue ever since people didn't need to try to help this former tenant with the onlaught of problems being faced that should never have been handled in the manner that they were handled in by any involved with the complex. Whomever encouraged this matter to be stirred up again with the overly favorable terms gained by this apartment complex already let cheap emotions get in the way of good judgment. <br><br>This apartment complex agreed to settle with a documented oral agreement and the written agreement drawn up by the apartment's attorney suddenly contained unethical illegalities that this former tenant cannot agree to. <br><br>It is as simple as this in the humble opinion of the vast majority of attorneys - no person may contract on behalf of another where no authority exists to do so. It is fraudulent to do so and fraudulent to try to trick someone into signing an agreement to control and restrict the rights of others to communicate. Last time I checked, free speech was a right guaranteed to all citizens by the in the 1st Amendment that none of your friends may contract away from you.

I moved to OKC in November 05, Crown Martin was the nicest place that I could find. The office staff is helpful with everything. So far this is the best apartment that I have ever lived in.

Still a great place
I have lived in the complex for a little over a year. I've had several requests, questions, and favors to ask of the staff and they have ALWAYS been very attentive. Jennifer is great, and so is the manager (don't remember her name). I saw the office staff out the other day putting salt on the drive and in front of doors to keep people from slipping. I feel I'm living in the best complex in OKC. I have recommended Crown Martin to everyone who lives on my side of town.

Don't make this mistake
At first when i moved the office staff was very attentive and somewhat nice but it did not take the office staff long to start being careless. When it came to maintenance, so one parked in my spot or late night noise violations, I was definently not a priority of theres and some of those problems were unattended to for the duration of my lease at Crown Martin Park. I think safety is a huge issue here because you pay so much more money for the community gates they have here, and half the time they are either not functionable or the staff just leaves the gates open.

Meeting
Meeting<br><br>We expect very little out of apartment staff.<br><br>Mainly, we expect the staff not enter without the resident being present as agreed to UNLESS there is a TRUE emergency.<br> <br>We do not appreciate feeling the need to stay home to protect our personal property from our landlords. We trust businesses until they give a direct reason not to, and these days, too many landlords count on renters not having enough money to hire an attorney or go to court seeking just treatment...consequently apartment owners do as they wish, legal or not. <br><br>At this complex, a resident trusted the staff until, on many occassions, the staff refused to knock and allow time for the resident to get to the door before barging into the resident's home. <br><br>Resident: "I expect my privacy and modesty to be respected. I changed the locks because the staff ignored this agreement, and because I believe that they took items of my personal property. Other residents have experiences small losses as well." <br><br>"It is not the amount of the loss that is most bothersome, it is the feeling of VIOLATION that the apartment staff who had a key to your home - and whom you trusted, came into your home and went through your things." <br><br>"I let the office know that items had been taken from my apartment with no sign of forced entry to report. They got overly angry at the request that the ownership investigate the matter internally...the recording of this instance proves that what they represent before renters move-in is false (i.e., that they have a system in the office so that they know which staffer entered your apartment and when in case of any problems). If you actually have any problems, the office staff won't give you the requested documentation of who entered your apartment and when they did so as was claimed to me before I moved in."<br><br>"They seem to always assert the claim each instance of reporting something to them is the 1st time they've heard about the matter, even when we both know this to be false."<br><br>"Voice recordings show the threatening and unacceptable manner in which they deal with residents. If anyone is interested in hearing the kinds of threats that could be directed at you personally if you become a resident here, I will note the website where I post audio files in the comments section below as soon as is feasible. Other residents have had similar problems with the staff."<br><br>Most residents want the same thing - to be dealt with in a good faith manner. Residents want their homes to be respected - this means not leaving rat poisening on someone's counter when they have a small dog in their home....not barging into resident's homes without permission...not accusing residents of actions without grounds and merely to get back at them for personality conflicts. <br><br>We now know that the apartment complex cuts off internet connections to residents who they are angry with. This is a problem here because the apartment complex provides the internet connection. One person was denied internet for over 2 weeks this month when the staff was getting even. Guess this is the only thing they can take from someone who protects themselves by changing their locks.<br><br>Many of us have had a horrific experience living here and want to save others from our experiences. If the few things mentioned are things that would bother you if done to you, you need to consider finding a more respectfully staffed and ethical apartment complex until this one is ordered by a judge to abide by the law. <br><br>

Great place to live! Beautiful surroundings and great people. Very safe .
We loved living here. The staff was very courteous and helpfull always smiled. The apartment was very nice and clean when we moved in. I didn't have and mold problem in my apartment. And the only time I called maintenance they came right over and fixed it. I never had any problems with vandals or any security issues. You can see that as far as the crime goes none of it was at the apartments. This is crazy anyone can quote news 9 reports for the entire city or any city in the USA. But they don't have that problem there. So what that tells me and should tell everyone else is that this is a safe place to live! We loved it there and would reccomend it to anyone. It is also very beautiful and the club house and swimming pool is outstanding! The neighbors were great!

LOVE IT HERE!
I HAVE LIVED AT CROWN MARTIN FOR 1 YEAR AND LOVE IT HERE. THERE HAS NOT EVER BEEN A TIME THAT I'VE FELT UNSAFE. I ALSO CHECKED CRIME TRACKER BEFORE I MOVED IN. ON THE PREVIOUS REVIEW IT SHOWS VERY FEW INCIDENTS AROUND CROWN MARTIN. WHEN YOU'RE LOOKING AT IT, NOTICE THAT IT SAYS THE "BLOCK" OF 5300 W. MEMORIAL, WHICH MEANS IT HAS OCCURRED ON MEMORIAL BETWEEN MACARTHUR AND MERIDIAN. SO DON'T LET THAT AFFECT YOUR THOUGHTS OF CROWN MARTIN. THE MANAGEMENT STAFF IS GREAT TOO, THEY ALWAYS GREET ME WITH A SMILE WHEN I GO INTO THE OFFICE FOR COOKIES.

I HAVE LIVED AT CROWN MARTIN FOR OVER A YEAR AND I LOVE LIVING HERE. THE STAFF HERE IS VERY ENJOYABLE AND FRIENDLY. ALWAYS WILLING TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS. ANYTIME I HAVE HAD ANY KIND OF PROLBEM IN MY APARTMENT, THE WERE THERE TO FIX IT WITHIN A FEW HOURS. I HAVE BEEN READING THE OTHER REVIEWS FOR MY APARTMENT COMMUNITY AND I AM SO SURPRISED BY THE NEGATIVE THINGS BEING SAID. DONT BELIEVE IT! THE ONLY THING I ELSE I CAN SAY ABOUT CROWN MARTIN IS YES, MOVE HERE, YOU WILL LOVE IT JUST LIKE I DO!

The apartments look great when you walk around. You think to yourself wow this is not that expensive and a wonderful view of the big houses around. Yeah all that is great then you move in and the problems begin. You can hear everything through the walls. The floors are paper thin you hear walking, music, TV's and vacuuming, this isn't just my apartment my friends live here and think the same thing. Management sucks. You think management doesn't effect you when you live in an apartment. Well your wrong it does. They don't fix anything, they don't care about anything except if you pay your rent on time. One parking space per apartment. Lets think about this some of the apartments have 3 or 4 bedrooms in them. UCO is close enough so a lot of students live here and they all have a car!!! So there is NO PARKING. My friend came over to visit and he parked in someone else's spot and got towed. He didn't know and I didn't ask him as soon as he walked in the door where he parked. I was just glad to see him. I put out a fire one night from some one throwing out a cig. and told the office. What do you think they did about that? NOTHING!!! The office lost one of my packages that was delivery by UPS. When my wife went in to get the package they didn't even look for it he just said that they don't have any packages. Well they called an hour later and said they found it. Maybe if they would have looked when I was standing in the office I wouldn't have had to come back a second time. Oh this is a good one.... Our first time running the dishwasher water ran out onto the floor through the wall into the living room. We called maintence "after hours" and the guy said it wasn't an emergency. Asked him what was an emergency he said "water leaks and stuff like that" I said im standing in a puddle in my living room does that count. He huffed on the phone and came over 45min later and told me what I had already told him and fixed it 3 days later. Then it took them 3 more days to clean my carpet that is still yellow where the puddle was. Oh one morning on my way to work I went outside and a Lincoln Navigator was sitting on blocks. That's nice don't you think. The one thing I can say that is great is the residents that all live in and around my complex. Everyone is really nice and says "HI" and all that neighbor stuff that everyone does. WHAT EVER YOU DO DON'T MOVE HERE!!!

so-so experience
I'm about to move out and have lived in this complex for a year. Overall, it's been an ok place to live. The major problem I've had is mold, and I noticed that was mentioned in another post as well. I had black mold grow on my kitchen wall 3 different times. The first two times maintenance simply sprayed it with "disinfectant" and painted over the area. Obviously that didn't work when I had the exact same problem again. I asked that something else be done to fix it but they just painted it like last time. The third time my carpet was soaked too and when they finally opened up the wall they found a broken pipe. They fixed the wall and mold problem but have yet to repaint the wall or repair the carpet...2 months later. I just gave up since I'm moving out so soon, but it has been a big inconvenience. <br>But overall, they are very nice apartments. Very spacious and nice grounds, but you pay for it-too expensive for what you get I think. <br>Having hardly any visitor spots is a problem too.

Receiving packages here is a big problem.
My student loan check was mailed to me and the carrier confirmed that a member of the office staff had signed for it. I went by the office numerous times asking for it, and they denied having recieved it. I paid to have the check reissued and waited 2 weeks for a new check. Same thing happened again after the carrier had delivered it - the office denied receiving it despite the fact that they had signed for it. I stayed home after that in order to get my check in person since my tuition was way past due, and my schedule was in danger of being dropped. <br><br>Three other packages and the same thing has occurred. Further, the office staff forces you to sign a contract of cohesion in addition to the rental agreement, stating that they are not liable for lost packages. Well, they certainly haven't shown me that they are responsible enough to even be accepting any of our packages. <br><br>Same thing again today - the office denied having a package that I called and confirmed had been delivered. I called down to the office stating that I'd been left a receipt that a package for me had been delivered at the office, and the guy there denied them having it. <br><br>The owner of this complex needs to investigate this situation with the management company he put in charge and make sure that the staff is responsible with our packages so that all of us living here aren't further angered by the management's handling of affairs that other apartment complexes seem to have no problem seeing to. I am not saying that a staffer is stealing our packages, but something weird is going on. <br><br>I am reporting this to the proper federal mail authorities b/c mail fraud and theft is a federal offense. They may or may not be civilly liable, but the staff can still face federal criminal charges for such offenses. It is ridiculous that we have to go to such extremes to be able to get our own mailed items here.<br><br>Further, noise here is a serious problem. Last week, a man was standing in the parking lot screaming at someone in a vehicle to go ahead and kill him. The driver was apparently screaming that he was going to run the guy over. There was a lot of noise and screaming and yelling late at night. This is not unusual here. <br><br>My advice, rent elsewhere if you want to be allowed to sleep normally and get your own mailed items. I'm continually angered by the ludicrous level of incompetence by the management company here.<br><br>Finally, since the office has ignored all my calls about the huge pot-hole that has flatened many tires here...buyer beware...you'll be buying some tires if you rent here. There is an enormous pot-hole in the parking lot on the east side that has just been left there for the last year. If a simple pot-hole cannot be dealt with in a year with a few bags of cement being poured down, then this place has problems. It's being allowed to deteriorate and I would not call the claim that this place is a luxury apartment complex a fraudulent claim. I've lived in luxury apartments, and believe me, this place isn't it.<br><br>One more thing you'll want to know - expect the huge hassle of hauling your trash half a block on foot to get to the dumpster. There is only one and it's in front of the apartment office. How cheap...not luxury living at all...more like dorm living.<br><br>Finally, this is the first place I've lived that has a serious mold problem. Someone needs to contact the state health department and get them to come out here and inspect the specific apartments with mold. Painting over old mold does not seem to be killing it as I was told it would. It is just growing through the paint and I'm embarrassed to have people over to see the mold growing on my walls.<br><br>You'll also want to know that car break-ins are a serious problems here. Don't move in here if you have a nice car or a decent stereo system. The apartments hired security for the holidays, which is the one good thing they've done since I've been here, but what about afterwards?
