My husband and I recently moved here from out of state and absolutely love Crown Chase! Unable to visit properties prior to the move, this had the potential to become a very daunting and intimidating process. While our research led us to this location, it was solely the help of our leasing agent, Becky, that brought us into our new home. She always seemed eager and happy to answer our questions, no matter how long the list. She made sure we had all the information we needed in order to be confident in our decision. Now, having met her in person and seeing her willingness to help others, I know her kind and positive attitude is genuine. Since our move, we have had the privilege of getting to know Becky, as well as Tabitha, the assistant manager. Tabitha is very knowledgeable about the company and is always able to help. She has a bright spirit and always greets us with a smile! We are extremely happy that we chose Crown Chase and wanted to share our gratitude for the support we have received from this amazing staff.

I've lived here for 9 1/2 years and the main reason I've stayed is the location. It's close to work and my elderly parents live in the housing edition across the street so I can keep an eye on them. My mother is wheelchair bound and needs me constantly. Other than that I probably would of left long ago. The so-called security gates are a joke and never work properly. There doesn't seem to be alot of crime here, but I don't know for sure. The staff comes and goes like the wind. Every time I go into the office someone different is there, and with the exception of one nasty-tempered manager a couple of years ago, all of the staff have been friendly. The maintenance has always been great. I've had to have a garbage disposal replaced, a bathroom sink, kitchen faucet, and a toilet repair, but it was all done by the same day. If I called in the morning for a repair by the time I got home from work it was fixed. Every time. And they clean up after themselves. My kitchen sink has backed up twice at night, because of pigs above me that cram garbage in their disposals(I'm on the bottom floor and all the pipes are connected),called the emergency number they have and a licensed plumber was out within an hour. As a matter of fact it was the same guy both times and he was very nice. The apartments are extremely noisy. A seemingly 500 hundred pound walrus has moved in above me a couple of months ago and it sounds like she's going to come crashing thru the ceiling at any time. Very annoying. The water pipes are LOUD!!!! Of course the property is 13 or 14 years old, and things like that never improve with age. I like that they keep the exterior painted, resurface the parking lot frequently(which is a narrow nightmare), keep the pool nice(it's been drained and redone a few times), and keep the grounds up. Last year they offered me my own parking spot, which I refused, but they put one up anyway, put my initials on it without my permission, but I didn't say anything, and I sometimes don't use it out of spite. I'm just waiting for someone working there to tell me that it's the only spot I can park in so I can tell them to cram that sign where the sun doesn't shine! That just really ticked me off that they put that up after I told them not to, but the manager at that time was a complete moron, so I let it go. I hate that they run the sprinklers during the day sometimes. When they do you can't get to the mailboxes or thru the walk-thru gates without getting soaked and all of the sidewalks flood! That really sucks! I'm glad they stopped people from smoking on the balconies, there used to be alot of that. But now they'll boot you out if you're caught. We have a neighborhood watch program, but I doubt if that matters. I like that there aren't alot of college punk types there. It's mostly older professional people like myself, retirees and elderly people. They have trimmed the pool hours to a sort of curfew to stop the late night partying, but my place is next to the pool, and I don't really hear any pool noise. Maybe a squealing kiddie now and then, but kids will be kids when it comes to pool time. They raise my rent every year(30 dollars last year)and if that continues I'll have to split because in my opinin it's not worth the money. I hate the fact that they constantly raise the rent and other than the stupid free parking spot I didn't want they have never offered to give me squat. No carpet cleaning, no offer to do some interior painting, no upgrade on the out-dated ugly tile, nothing. In nearly ten years of living here I've never been late on rent so that is starting to get under my skin. And don't bother asking the management for anything because you'll get nothing. And that's probably because they change managers every few months or so. Why? I never have figured that out. I could probably find other stuff to gripe about but I think I'll stop here. My blood pressure is now thru the roof. I haven't even gotten into the actual apartment itself, which for the most part is homey and comfortable, sizable, and bug free(except for an occasional spider and two small garden snakes, yep, snakes)! But I'm a former pest control operator so that stuff never bothers me, I do my own pest control. I hope this helps anyone looking to move here. I'm sure there are better places for the money and I know there are places alot worse.

Can't wait to move out.
I've lived here for a little over a month, and I've been dissatisfied since I moved in. Water from my neighbors apartments runs EXTREMELY loud. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but it gets very annoying. Any time someone is in the shower, doing laundry, etc, I hear it the WHOLE TIME. My name STILL isn't on the directory for the gate, so any time I have company they either have to wait for someone to come in or leave, or I have to walk all the way over and let them in with my gate card. I even called and asked them to fix it, obviously they never did! They try to trick you when you sign your lease by taking your account/routing number from your bank to make you think your rent will be auto deducted.. But they don't tell you that until your rent is 6 days late. Fee is $20 A DAY! So I owe them over $100 in late charges, and my bank is closed on weekends. Makes me wonder why they needed my banking information. I WILL be monitoring my account to make sure there are no phony charges. I don't trust these people. The parking here is THE ABSOLUTE WORST! I ALWAYS have to park at least a block away from my apartment, and I have a TODDLER! So today I parked in a spot with the lines through it so I could be close to my door because I'm a single mom and just bought a bunch of groceries.. They put a orange sticker on my back window saying management request for tow! My car wasn't even sitting there very long, AND THE STICKER WON'T COME OFF MY WINDOW! I am far from thrilled with the management and staff of this community. The only perk of living here is the location. End of story. It's more of an inconvenience to live here than anything, I CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE OUT.

Nothing Special about this place
Parking is horrible. When it rains the sidewalks turn into rivers and small ponds for several days after the rain stops. We also run 2-3 fans at night just to keep from hearing the buffalo stomping upstairs and other adjoining apartment sounds. I expected to hear noise when I moved into the apartment, but not like this. I can hear water running from adjoining apartment s sinks and washers. I can also hear the dryers running. I don't remember ever hearing so much noise at any apartment I have lived; at I have lived in many. Added installation of insulation could possible improve the sound problems. We receive notes on our door occasionally, we always comply, yet other tenants seem to be able to get away with the same things. The staff is inconsistent when asked about policies or even the cost of a new access card. The gates are more of a burden then added safety, as our cars have been broken into several times, even in the daytime my truck was ransacked. I would like to know where the security cameras are, besides the ones at the gates. A recent post praising Crown Chase claimed they are everywhere. I also agree the high praise post are being entered by a staff member, because I am positive as soon as my post hits the board we will see another advertisement for how wonderful it is to live at Crown Chase. We are coming up on the end of our lease and have received two different statements offering different quotes for lease options or month to month. And the news letters asking residents to not park in no parking areas are useless, because according to the office, they can t enforce it so why would anyone comply? Where else are they going to park when there are no openings? Now we have 5 year residents getting special parking, looks like some are getting two spots. I will be glad when I get to move out.

Wonderful experience!! Extremely satisfied!
I could not have been happier with my experience at Crown Chase. I have lived in 6 apartments now, including apartments with $1,000 rent, and Crown Chase was easily the best. The apartments themselves are not what make the complex special, it is the incredible staff. I lived in the apartment for over a year and a half and I never had to wait for any type of maintenance request. Usually I wasn't back home by the time the office closed so I would just call in the evening to leave a message with a request. When I returned from work the next day, the request was ALWAYS completed. My heat went out late one night during single digit weather and the maintenance man came out within the hour in the middle of the night to fix the problem. Not only was he there but he was always extremely friendly. I never had a single problem with anyone in the office staff either. Everyone was so helpful and professional. They treat you as if you are their neighbor and not just some dead beat who they have to try to pry rent from. Many apartment staffs that I have dealt with treat you as if you are trying to lie to them or get away with something. This couldn't be further from the truth at Crown Chase. The property manager is wonderful! She is very friendly, intelligent, respectful and helpful. Definitely a breath of fresh air compared to other apartments. The apartments themselves are nice. Not the very best but easily the best bargain for the money I have ever seen. The floor plan i had was nice but probably not the best use of space. The parking lot could occasionally get a little crowed but that was a very rare occasion. The grounds at the apartment are gorgeous. There are several different types of trees, flowers and other foliage. Usually you see a couple different types of plants but rarely the variety that you see at crown chase. The pool was nice. No hot tub unfortunately but the pool was good and it always seemed to be clean. I never had any problems with any of the other residents. you can stay as isolated as you want or get to know everyone as the staff organized quite a few parties/get togethers throughout the year. When i say quite a few i don't mean a Christmas party and a 4th of July party. There are parties to open the pool, close the pool, random small holidays, and just for the heck of it dinners. The staff puts a ton of time and money (free food, drinks including beer, and prizes) into these parties. All in all i really enjoyed my time at crown chase. The staff was terrific, the best I've experienced, and the apartments were a steal compared to what you pay in rent.

I was so sad to read this review.... "This property is ideally located but that is where its value ends.complex has had a long history of criminal activity; theft, break-ins and vandalism.so-called security gates are broken.security system is virtually non-existent as it only monitors the front entrance to the property. staff has had high turnover and an attitude. maintenance staff is -------- and full of attitude. Finally, the construction poor with cheap interior finishes, cabinetry, lighting and carpet. The water pressure is less than desirable .pool and workout areas are adequate and generally clean. Overall, there are many better choices than Crown Chase, some within walking distance. Renter beware......this is not the place to live if you want good service and to be safe!" First I would like to say: We love the staff here!!! Everyone here is amazing!!! We feel completely safe here AND completely at home here!!! The apts here are well priced... And a great value! we lived at one of those "so-called-better apts within walking distance".... overpriced, staff spoke ill of one another and of clients, and maint was non-existant! We had terrible problems over at the other apts with rude people, staff, and the loudest neighbors! We moved here last year and we are signing another year lease! Maybe the person writing that review was bitter or wasn't paying their rent on time (that can get you in trouble!!!) There is an amazing community here among my neighbors, we all check in on one another! (And we aren't employed here, and we are a young family.) I don't know of anyone who has been vandalized or had any problems here, (AND I know people that moved in when Crown Chase was built) children play in the court yard... the bus drops the children off at the office and the children are allowed to wait inside for their parents! How great is that! I appreciate my child being safe! The security gates work well, they are almost always closed- even during business hours. The security cameras are throughout the property.... look for them! And there is quite a bit of staff working all around- maint the prop and keeping it clean, beautiful and safe! The staff has been amazing here, the staff have NOT had a high turn over: the lead maint guy has been with the company forever, (and the girls here help one another out at different properties and have been promoted )... And he makes sure any work order is completed properly before the work day ends! The day We moved in, the maint guys went through our apt and fixed silly little things we pointed out.... they even change light bulbs for us! And why put their nationality??? What does that have to do with anything. The cleaning lady did such an amazing job cleaning our apt- we actually did not have to clean anything when we moved in! (that's a first for us!) As for the fixtures and carpet- all were brand new when we moved in (although I do wish they would consider a little darker carpet color... we spill a lot- LOL!) Really- water pressure- the only time ours is low is when it's as hot as it will go.... We rarely find many people write reviews or speak to the mgr- unless they are complaining. We always like to smile and give people a "good-job"! We are very happy and extremely satisfied living here. (occasionally- we might hear our neighbor... but we live in an apt- really if that is our biggest complaint... I think we will be alright!) As for the above reviewer- we are sad they needed to lash out on such an amazing group here at Crown Chase... We would highly recommend only good-nice people to come join our wonderful community.... We have had great community events too, lots of parties "family-parties" and inviting events!! Thank you for that! Please don't let the mean people get you guys down! You always treat us well & do right by us!! Thank you for taking such great care of us!!!

Unsafe, Overpriced, Poorly Maintained, Inept Staff with Attitude
This property is ideally located but that is where its value ends. The complex has had a long history of criminal activity; theft, break-ins and vandalism. The so-called security gates are broken as much as they work due to people ramming them. The security system is virtually non-existent as it only monitors the front entrance to the property. I know of several people who's units or garages have been burglarized, some during broad daylight. To solve the problem the maintenance group trimmed the landscaping around outside patio doors! The staff has had high turnover and generally project an attitude. The office staff is inviting to a prospective renter but will become puppets to their 'corporate guidelines' after you sign up. The maintenance staff is -------- and full of attitude. Finally, the construction of the facility is generally poor with cheap interior finishes, cabinetry, lighting and carpet. The water pressure is less than desirable and the landscaping old and unimaginative. The pool and workout areas are adequate and generally clean. Overall, there are many better choices than Crown Chase, some within walking distance. Renter beware......this is not the place to live if you want good service and to be safe!

Up the Butt
Had a great experience up to the very end when it was time to move out. The office staff send a note saying my roommate and I owed more money while we were out of town. Charged us a late fee and never told us our rent was going up. The office staff waited two months to tell us out our rent had gone up, then wanted the money all at once. They never sent any note until they charged us a late fee and threatened to put an eviction notice up. Then, after we moved out, they charged us for a pet deposit ($100) and said they had to bleach the concrete ($75) because of pet stains, never once calling us or giving any heads up. The kicker is, we never ever had a pet, but they charged us for one! So the taste I am left with is very bitter, and the office staff is horrible, terrible communication!!!

Dumping hole
I can't wait to move out of this dumping hole. I had my wallet stolen out of my car in daylight, in front of the apartment, and because of it have had to file for ID theft. I believe the maintaince crew(as referenced in other comments) has something to do with all the break-ins to appartments and cars. The office files a complaint againest one appartment, yet allows another to do the samething. Maangement blames everything on "the last person who worked here made an error"...

Not bad if you dont mind paint all over your windows
We just moved out of here, the staff was nice, but they repainted the buildings and there is currently a lot of paint over spray on all of our exterior windows its annoying and doesn't seem like they are ever going to do anything about it. Also, Parking is HORRIBLE if you get home any time after 9 pm, be prepared to park on the other side of the complex, other than than those issues, its not a bad place to live.

Not bad so far
We just moved in recently. We're happy so far. The management staff are very friendly...it must have changed since the older posts. So far the only drawbacks are tight parking (which is typical and expected), unlighted walkways, and you hear your upstairs neighbors tromping around (when they tromp).

Manager is terrible
For the price that I am paying for living at Crown Chase...the attitude of the management team especially the manager herself is rediculous! infact my car was broken into twice while living here. I had visitors at my apartment one night and their car was broken into as well. I told the manager and they acted like it was the norm. They showed no concern at all. I can't wait untill my lease is up!

Positive & Negative
The positive of living here would be great location, and love the landscape. I was very happy with my apartment, but just wished I had noticed the entryway more before moving in. I'm sure there are different layouts to each apartment, but with mine there's no possible way you can fit a large couch through the door. Walking in you have a wall that includes a closet. Zero backup room for a couch. Tried everything to get it in. Very depressing!! So unfortunately, I was not able to move my couch in, and will have to figure something else out. If at all possible try to move in a third floor unit. There wasn't one available when I moved into mine so now the person living above me is my worst enemy!! Unfortunately the buildings must be poorly insulated, because my ceiling shakes as my neighbor obsessively paces her floor. I've opted for earplugs, or offering her a drink along with some tylenol pm to just relax! Just a few things to consider when moving into this complex.

Management Not that Great!
I don't like the Management here. They seem to be indifferent and believe more in Dictatorship and are major control freaks! You cannot get a dish (for which you are paying) without seeking the approval of Queen Manager for the service provider! The agents have a very indifferent attitude and don't care as long as you don't call them. When showing the apartment, the kitchen was not lit well and one of the tube lights was not working well. The agent was totally indifferent to it. "This is what we have." It is an alright location. Just can't deal with megalomaniacs!

Thoroughly Dissapointed
We have lived in Crown Chase several years ago and enjoyed it. We have recently returned to check rates and to look at other floor plans. The office staff had absolultey no interest in helping us, when we tried to fill out applications and turn in a deposit, she kept telling us to go home and think it over, then fill them out and bring them in. The office manager is absolutley the most unprofessional person I've ever spoke with and we will not be living there again. The only lady that was helpful, friendly and professional, was Shannon & we didn't speak with her at crown chase, but at crown woods, but from what she said she worked at both aparments.

----, the property manager is not nice at all
----, the property manager is rude. She argues with me with bad attitude. Long story short, I told the crown chase people that when I put my deposit in, I don't know the exact date I can move in and give them mid-Feb as my preliminary date. They put down Feb 15 themselves without my consent. They said, "okay, I will just prorate you when you come back." However, when I come back 30 days after a business trip, they want to back charge the days the rent they lost I didn't come back on the 15th. How ridiculous is that? It is very unprofessional in the first place to charge people without giving them the knowledge and then give me an attitude yelled to me that "we could've rent your apartment to somebody else". I have never dealt with anyone that unprofessional. Beware of the office people!

LOVE it!
I have lived here for 3 months now, and I ABSOLUTELY love it. You get the feeling of a more expensive complex while paying a very reasonable price. It is very clean and you can occasionally hear your neighbor vacuuming or walking in high heels, but it hasn't bothered me yet. The appliances are nice and it's so spacious! I absolutely love it. My only complaint is that the complex doesn't have lights on the grounds.

Great place to live
The apartment and complex are clean, clean, clean. Apartment has
plenty of light, has a wonderful floor-plan with lots of closets and a room for w/d within the apartmnet. The apartment is surprisingly as well insulated against noise, even when
close to the business center and pool. The management has a 48-hour service policy or a month's rental free for each day after this
period. The beautiful, landscaped grounds and pool area are well maintained. Neighbors are friendly. The management sponsors monthly dinner parties. I love living here!

Terrible!
We rented here until our house was completed and both my husband and I have sworn that we will never live in another apartment again after this horrible experience! First off, it's not really a "gated complex" since the gates are always broken and other cars can easily follow you in even though it says that the gate closes after each car. Not!
Second, the pool is always dirty and really warm even during the hot summer temps. It's like soaking in a lukewarm bathtub. Third, it's incredibly noisy! If you are on any floor but the third, don't plan on sleeping while you live at Crown Chase. Fourth, parking is really, really bad. Don't do any grocery shopping after work unless you enjoy carrying heavy bags 2-3 blocks. Not fun. Fifth, the dryers in the complex laundry room
don't dry well at all so, unless you like your clothes smelling like mildew plan on spending about $4.oo per small load.
Sixth, the leasing agents really don't want to see or hear from you after you sign your life away on the lease & will give major attitude if you dare walk through that office door again!
Long story short, do not sign a lease at Crown Chase or at any Leinbach managed complex! I promise, you will be sorry if you do!

I've lived in Crown Chase for a little while, and I would highly recommend it. Maintenance has responded same-day for all of my requests, and the office has even called to follow up a few times. They are very friendly and helpful. It's very quiet (the only thing I ever hear is my neighbor's water running), but I live towards the back of the complex and thus far from any noise that might come from the pool or front gate. The trash is far away, but they've recently started offering a door-to-door trash service that is very nice. Parking can get tough late at night, but I usually don't have much problem finding a spot. I did have a small ant problem, but some Raid cleared it up, and the office did offer to send pest control. The floor plan is one of the best I've seen, though the only big complaint I've had about my whole experience is that you can't fit a couch longer than 96 inches through the doorway because of the layout in the foyers being poorly designed, so I did have to find a new couch because my oversized one wouldn't fit. It really has more of a neighborhood feel than an apartment building with the landscaping and the location off the street. It's a great location, I feel very safe there and I've been very happy so far.
