Great staff. Great rates. Great maintenance. Safe and quite. Pet friendly. Staff really have their act together! They are obviously committed to delivering great service to residents. Brenda Dodd was our lease manager, she is INCREDIBLE, very nice, understanding, not pushy, and extremely helpful. She made sure to listen to our needs. The maintenance staff is much more responsive than any other apartment complex i've lived. The area is well kept and feels safe.

We've been here since April and I have very few complaints. One neighbor in our building is NOT friendly and we can sometimes hear our neighbor upstairs walking around. Other then that we are happy here! The amount of space we get for the price is better than any other apartments in the area, the walk-in closet is like a 3rd room and it's so nice to have a kitchen and dining room. It is very multicultural here and there are a LOT of kids, but that works for us since we have two. Everyone I see either smile, wave or say hi as we pass by. The kids have been friendly to my daughter and for the most part are behaved. The pool has been a joy in this heat and the playground/picnic areas are wonderful. We have had two maintenance issues, nothing major and they were handled within a day. As far as bugs, yes, spiders and such. Same thing you would get if you owned a home! No place is perfect but all the wonderful things you get for the price FAR outweighs the very small things that really are not even that bad to deal with.

Hello all, I have lived at Hatfield for 6 months and I HAVE ZERO COMPLAINTS! I like my unit, I like the staff; from the office to maintenance to the grounds crew! I have wonderful neighbors as well. Apartment living comes with a small community and close neighbors. This is my first apartment living and it was great! I could not ask for more. Now on an evener bigger note: BRENDA DOBBS! Wow, what a wonderful person... She has been with me through my apartment living experience and has assisted me with so much. I appreciate all she does; I tend to ask a lot of questions and she always has the right anwers... Look for her or any of her colleagues, Im sure they are just as great!

Hatfield was the first place I stayed when I moved out of my parents house and I choose it because it was the cheapest place in the area. Really the only good thing about this place is the low rent. My apartment was small and I was constantly dealing with bugs on a bi-weekly basis. I sprayed about every month and still had a bug problem. My other major problem was with the neighbors. There is a certain culture there and apparently they don't believe in watching their kids because they were playing all around the complex many times in the middle or right on the side of the streets and parking lots. I also had an issue with one of my neighbors who lived across the hall and down one apt. from me. About once a week she would cook a dish which I believe has a lot of curry in it, but I'm not sure exactly, the smell was so strong that it would get down the hall, into my apartment, and even into my bedroom with enough strength to wake me up out of my sleep. I don't have a sensitive stomach, but when I came into the common area between our apts. I would literally gag on a few occasions. I would not live here unless you absolutely had too. You get what you pay for.

I have been at Hatfield Village for a little over 4 months, and I am beyond happy with my apartment, Maintenance, and the office staff. They respond to calls and e-mail promptly. They are kind and personable. And the grounds are well kept, and clean considering the size of the complex. Parking is safe and available as well as well lit. I can hear neighbors, but it is apartment living and it is not beyond what should be expected. I expect to be here for a long time and expect to be quite content. As to amenities, I don't think anyone could ask for more.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. Honestly, everything seems fine and dandy when you first move in, then you start to see what really goes on. There are seriously families with FOUR people living in 2 bedroom apartments. There are DRUG DEALS going on IN apartments. I know for a fact our neighbor was dealing drugs out of his apartment. Next thing you know we don't see him or his car for over a month. The neighbor tells us they saw 4 people taken out in handcuffs. WOW. This makes me feel safe!! Not to mention this guy had an illegal air conditioner HANGING out of his window, God knows what was getting in and out of there. The office continually sends out letters and nothing gets done about it. They say they can't enter a tenants apartment until they are delinquent with rent. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? You know this person has been in jail, there are wide open cracks in this window and you're not going to go in that apartment??? No wonder there are bugs. These people are freaking jokes.

I have been here for almost a year and it has been a pleasure living here. The staff is simply wonderful and make the move in process a breeze. Brenda from the leasing apartment has been a delight. The apartments are spacious with lots of closet space. If there is a problem it is taken care of immediately. The premises are clean and well kept. The whole village is landscaped. It is a very family friendly community with several playgrounds and not to forget the swimming pool in the summer. My Kids love it here. I would choose to live here again anytime

This place is good if you are a welfare family or someone that doesn't work for a living, no sleep because the floors and walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that your neighbors do. The so called security doors are never locked and the fire doors in the building we lived in were always propped open because the people that live on the bottom floor have a dog that never leaves the apartment. Every weekend the parties start and the halls reek of marijuana. One washer and dryer for 12 units at $1.70 a wash and 1.70 to dry and if your lucky the dryer dries in the hour you just paid for. Be prepared to spend about $100 dollars a month on laundry. Maintenance is a huge joke here the half fix things and never come back or you can send work orders a dozen times and nothing ever happens, we had water pouring into the window sill from the bent up rain spouting and nobody ever came to repair it even though I wrote out 3 or 4 work orders, we ruined a few towels trying to keep the water out. I had to many repairs to report and none of them were ever handled properly, When we moved out they kept some of the security deposit because of the water damage in the bedroom from the water leaking. Don't rent here this place is poorly run and bugs run rampant. The best one was clean everything out of your kitchen cupboards so they can come in and spray for bugs, and then they only put sticky traps in after you spent hours moving things out of your kitchen or move everything away from all the electrical outlets so they can come and test them that was also fun. It seemed to me they just did everything they could do to get on your nerves, we work an off shift and they cut the grass at 7:00 in the morning. When moving in and moving out there is no place to park a truck and you have to walk across the parking lot to move you things. The rent goes up not by a few dollars every year try 40 or 50 a month. This place in not worth the money they want for rent. If there are problems with the neighbors they wont help you, either they will tell you to call the police and sometimes they come and sometimes they don't This place is the worst dont waste your money here!

I just moved from South Jersey to Hatfield Village. The welcoming i got from Brenda Dodd was amazing she took care of me from start to finish . From the application process to my cable and even now if i hae any issues with my apartment of tenants (which i havent) I have a large living room big kitchen plenty of cabinet space and counter top room . The grounds are always well kept and if i have or need any matience they are there ASAP I enjoy and love the community Kojo N. AND THEY MUST NOTIFY YOU IF SOMEONE WILL BE IN YOUR APARTMENT. NEVER EVER TRUST THIS STAFF. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT LIARS AND THEIVES. ITS ALL HONKY DORY WHEN THEY ARE SIGNING YOU UP, BUT ITS FAKE AS FAKE CAN BE. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY READ READ READ YOUR LEASE! THEY RUINED ME. THANKS WORTHLESS HATFIELD DRUG HOOKER VILLAGE. I went to the dog apartment and there was pee all over the always it smelled really bad, the closet door did not even open! and was missing a handle ! Angela is who i worked with and at frist she seemed so nice then you change your mind about something and she is a total b-tch. this place needs to work on their staff and get new rugs or make sure they take care of their animales pee in the hallway is NOT okay

Maintenance shines!

I have lived at Hatfield Village Apartments for almost 5 years. It is very convenient to shopping, restaurants and public transportation. The landscaping is beautiful and it is a wonderful place to live if you have children. But, the very best aspect of Hatfield Village Apartments, in my opinion,is the Maintenance Department. Any time I needed to contact Maintenance my call was received in a professional and friendly manner. I have always been treated with respect, and problems were handled quickly and efficiently.

You won't get your security deposit back

My boyfriend and I recently moved out and they're keeping our security deposit and trying to charge us $300 more to replace carpets, which is normal wear and tear with an apartment. A security deposit is supposed to be used to pay for damages and unpaid rent. Our apartment was left in find condition. I'm sure that there are some apartments that are left filthy, given the scum they allow to live there, but ours was actually clean and the carpet didn't necessarily need to be replaced. They seem to by trying to make money on the back end of the deal. Also, there was a chronic leak in our bathroom ceiling from the bathroom above us. They had to 'fix' it every few months. I'm sure there is a mold problem in the apartment, given my allergies have improved since moving out of the apartment. Don't waste your time or money on this place. It's not worth the headaches. There was a family of about 6 living downstairs, using the stairwells as jungle gyms and the tennant in the apartment above us was doing aerobics at all hours of the night. Or so it seemed.

I've lived in Hatfield Village apartments for a year now, and i have to say i cant wait to move out of here, the only good thing that i can list is... hmmm, i cant think of one, so i'll list the bad things, first of all, you need to open 3 doors to get into your apartment, and when you are carrying groceries, is a pain to have to do that, they call it secure facility, the main door doesn't lock, it's been a year, and it has not been fixed, once you are inside, the place is very small, there is almost no ventilation, so your house will always smell like whatever you cook, the laundry room is ridiculous, every building has 12 units in it, and only 1 washer and dryer, and they are really small, and expensive, also, your clothes will come out of the washer soaking wet, the grounds are ok, but forget about enjoying them, you are not allowed to go outside and have a cook out, or bring out your camping chairs and just enjoy a nice sunny day, they will tell you to please remove from the grounds, because that is not allowed, you can look at them, not play on them, speaking of playing, they advertise that they have a pool, wich its true, what they don't tell you, is that you will have to PAY for a pool pass, you already pay a ridiculous amount of money for a tiny apartment, but if you want to go enjoy the pool, you have to pay more, and forget about having a friend join you, they wont allow it, the gym has no extra charge, the only problem is that is open only during office hrs, wich means forget about working out after 7 or 8 if that's what you like, if like me, you have pets, they will charge you a huge non refundable deposit, and a ridiculous monthly pet fee, and the pets areas are not well kept. There is so much more that i dislike about this place, but i am getting upset just thinking about it, so my advise is please, go somewhere else, don't bring your kids to a place where they will be unhappy, you and your family deserve better.

Excellent Living Experience

I lived in Hatfield Village for three years and LOVED IT!!!. The staff there was very nice, and If I had a problem maintence came quickly and without delay to fix it. The amenities were all new from the kitchen, carpet and bathroom. It is a nice neighborhood, and your not to far from Philadelphia. I would reccomend Hatfield Village to anyone looking to move to the Philadelphia metropalitan area, the service and experiece is nothing less that five star.

I just moved in a few days ago and everybody seemed great. I had a long talk with the leasing manager deb and she sat me down and pinpointed the pros and cons of my decision. Its close to work, which is a plus, and she seemed to genuinely care about my side of the deal. I get a strong feeling that if needed, they will be there for me!

Look somewhere else

Horrible. This place is so bad we decided to break our lease which ended in disaster. When we moved in we got a "special" of $150 off each month but by breaking the lease we had to repay the $150 that we saved for the six months we were there. Then we had to pay $1000 for the sure deposit even tho we had already paid $1000 for the sure deposit before we moved in. Crooks! Other than that, the building was noisy, stuff kept breaking or didn't work from the start, water leaking, white is the minority which is fine if you know spanish, indian, etc.., people are rude and disrespectful including the staff. Don't waste your time and go else where.
