First few months were good it seemed. Had decent people working the office that i didnt mind talking too. However, I ended up getting flooded on purpose by the people above me looking for an easy payout. I expressed concern with the issues and the front office was decent and made decent accommodations. However, fast forward and my apartment floods yet again due to the incompetency of a tenant above me or because of the MAA Southwind itself doing poor maintenance upkeep. Also, trash is always all over the place and the trash compactor over fills a couple days of the week and its disgusting. The tenants are nasty and junk the place up and MAA Southwind is proud to say that they dont run background checks and all that, IF NOT THEN WHY DO WE PAY SO MUCH TO NOT BE SAFE. its ridiculous. All the robberies, cars stolen, people murdered and we still dont have adequate security. MAA southwind is a joke and the people working the office are horrendous and unprofessional. They dont even know how to send emails properly but yall make sure to upcharge for ------ apartments.

I've been living here since 2022. I would say that the location is great and the area isn't too dangerous given the fact that we are near the FedEx headquarters. The community is well kept and the amenities are usually kept up as well. The maintenance team are phenomenal and always communicate really well. I have been living here for a little over two years and I do not have any major complaints. It has gotten better since I moved in so I have high hopes that it will only get better from here.

Overall residing at MAA Southwind has been a good experience. Unfortunately my car was stolen as it parked in front of my building. Thats the only bad experience. Unfortunately such incidents are occurring everywhere. Again overall my experience living here has been positive

The apartment is cool. Couple things I dont like.I have maintance requests that hasn't been fixed. The gym is in terrible condition, most of the equipment is damaged. The dryers are terrible as well. However I like the actual apartment and community.

Our experience with MAA Southwind Apartments has been really great. We have had a very positive experience living here for the last 10 years. We love our apartment, our neighbors have been very nice and we feel comfortable. It is clean, maintained and safe. It's pet friendly with friendly pets as well. We hope to stay another 10 years! ??

My biggest problem is that my neighbors leave trash outside their door for days and bugs and animals get in it, tearing the bag apart and leaving trash everywhere. It is disgusting and I wish they would get penalized for it. Another issue is the amount of bugs that culminate around the light outside our doors. There is also a serious gnat problem.

In the beginning, the community was a lot better. As of recent broken down cars take up parking spaces, cars without parking passes, and trash build up at the compactor. Management should address these issues immediately. I pay a great deal in rent to be dealing with these problems.

I have been having to do too many maintenance calls, the apartment was not renovated as promised when I moved in, and I worry that I got a unit that hasn't been used in years so I have been having some cleanliness complaints.

Water has been shut off multiple times with no notice. Pool was closed with no notice; when I complained, they sent out an email that the pool would be closed until further notice. No email was sent out when pool opened back up. The trash compactor is frequently overflowing.

I love it here. Lately there are a few noticeable things. Residents with pets won't clean up the poop, trash outside of residents doors, parking in covered area illegally and taking up two parking spots.

Most people in this complex go about their business in a very private manner. I like the privacy you get when you step out on the balcony. It is (the balcony) like a private getaway. I love it. No roaches and definitely no mice. Maintenance is excellent. 99 out of 100 times they will not leave until your utility is fixed. And those guys are the nicest guys you want to meet. The office workers are always nice and very polite. I have retired but I traveled a lot before the pandemic and I never had a break in. The open space and tree lined streets along with the FedEx Gulf Course are also a huge bonus!!

Management needs to address the issues with garbage / dumpster overflowing every week. This is disgusting to look at, attracts stray animals, also nails, screws in parking area. Loud music and smells like marijuana.

This community is less than favorable. I was lied to when I first moved in regarding availability. I have had numerous issues with the complex's inability to follow through on maintenance requests as well. The complex's inability also does not enforce rules equally amongst tenants. There are broken down unregistered cars taking up parking spots which is supposed to be a violation which they don't enforce! Trash kept in breeze ways which is supposed to be a violation which the property managers don't enforce either. I would avoid the headache and choose other properties that are managed professionally and kept up to par. I wouldn't recommend anyone to move in here! SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION!!!!

My overall experience has been good. I haven't had any serious problems while living here. I will say when I first moved, there was some things in the apartment that was not up to part or changed out; however, it was not something you could not get fixed or deal with.

Since I've been here it's been peaceful for the most part. There were few incidents of car thief and break-ins on the property but since the hiring of nightly security was reduced. Trash collection is consistent for the most part. The up keep of the property grounds is good I but the maintenance team is average (meaning sometimes your work order is done in a timely manner). Some residents need to be mindful and clean up after their dogs and stop leaving their trash outside the compactor when it's empty. The administrative team communicates important events happening in the community. So far my time here isn't bad?

I have no complaints. It's a nice apartment, especially for the money. The employees are great. I've had no issues with any of them. The other tenants and I get along, I've even made some friends. I think my favorite amenities are the pool and the car wash station!

It's cool but my bathroom in my floor is coming up. The paint chips in the shower "low ceilings"..other than that it's cool for the most part. Maybe if they work on picking up tenants trash that'll be nice too.

Rent for 1 Bedroom is ENTIRELY ENTIRELY ENTIRELY ENTIRELY HIGH and it ain't up for DEBATE. It's been mediocre.Rent for 1 BEDROOM is RIDICULOUS. 1300 for a 1 Bedroom. I can rent a 2 bedroom house for that. This is RIDICULOUS.

Good location to gas stations, grocery stores, Target, medical facilities. Well maintained for the most part. Quiet neighborhood, minimal traffic noise. Friendly and helpful staff, quick response to maintenance requests.

Not good, did not see apartment until day of move in. None of the repair I was not satisfied with have not been done. Maintenance request are never done, yet I get a text or email they are complete. Has been a horrible experience.

Community needs to have an assigned spot for visitors. As a resident, I'm noticing Less parking spots when returning home. Also, would like to see washer and dryers in the units. Anywhere between $1000-$1300 for rent, and no washer and dryer is a shame. Other apartments in the area offer them, why can't yall

There is a community fee but there is no upkeep with in the community there are multiple fees on top of paying Base Rent. Maintenance is not as efficient as they should be . I would not recommend not worth it

Maintenance is horrible. You have to call 3 or 4 times before they will come look at something. Everytime you walk out of your apartment you smell weed. Neighbors are loud and when you call after hours to complain the patrol won't do anything about it.

Poor office staff didn't get no help when my car got stolen and no help when I went to the office for help the manager's never available, there should be a get installed for this complex a lot of car getting stolen from here. What are you doing to help
