No after hours service. No emergency number.
I have lived here for over two years. There have been a couple of times when there were emergency situations (flooding and electrical). Don't bother calling after hours or on the weekend. You won't get a response.

bad reckless customer service bad experience even before the move
I rented an apartment in April due for a move in june, she deposited the checks but leased the apartment to somebody else. On the day of my move she tells me my name is not on the lease. Then she got the other people vacated and she promised the keys on thurday and when I call her on thursday she says the cleaning is scheduled for friday-meanwhile i vacated the old apartment and am on streets with my stuff. very careless people

Bad customer service
I'm staying in Lincoln On the reen since last few months. I've requested for some maintenance work at my apt, it's been since last 3weeks, I've not heard from any of the staffs though I've requested for the same 3/4times personally.

Right place if you like animals.
Cockroaches in the bed, rats in the parking lot and jackasses in the administration. The only reason to stay is because is cheap and quiet.

I'm very happy here
I've lived here nearly one year now, and I'm quite happy with my one-bedroom apartment and the community in general.

The apartment itself is very spacious, especially for what I pay. The kitchen and bathroom appliances are all in fine condition, and the walls are thick enough that I very rarely hear my neighbors. As for the community, it's very safe by Memphis standards, and I haven't heard of a single instance of crime. There is more than enough parking for everyone, and you couldn't ask for a more convenient location. It is also very pet-friendly-- lots of sidewalks and open space for my dog and I to enjoy.

However, I have had some bug problems, and my windows are not in the greatest condition. The community laundry machines are often broken, and there has not been a functioning hot tub since I moved in.

Staff are generally nice, though I haven't had much interaction with them.

OK
Nice apartments for the money. Less crime than the surrounding apartment complexes (Field Stone especially). Location is right behind FedEx so I think that helps with security. The apartment staff is great and very helpful with every problem.
I would recommend.

It's an ok apartment complex, but I don't plan on living here again when my lease is up. Yes, I think it's safe and pretty much quiet (the neighborhood....definitely NOT my apt), but there are things about the apt. I'm not impressed with.

1. We pay a pest control fee every month, but I still have TONS of little spiders and little bugs in my apt. I've even gone out and bought spray myself, but it's not helping.

2. The apartments are cheaply made and I agree with the person above me about the electrical outlets. ALL of mine are loose and everything I plug into them falls out.

3. I know I probably shouldn't have lived on the 2nd floor, but when small kids are above you...it's sounds like the roof is going to fall in on me. I have asked someone to do something about it, but it hasn't helped. My lights hanging from the ceiling bounce around and sway from the stomping above and my pictures fall off the wall from the jumping and walking loud.

4. HANDICAP PARKING: I haven't seen this be a problem in front of other bldgs., but in front of mine there is always some lazy person that can't walk a few extra steps and parks in the handicap spot. I have a friend that occasionally visits and is in a wheelchair and they have to park elsewhere because someone is usually always parked in the handicap spot. I tell someone and by the time they respond that person is gone.

5. The apt. or something slants because when I open the microwave door, the door closes by itself.

6. Not well insulated. My husband and I had to go out to buy more weatherstripping to go around the door because what was already on there was so old and worn you could see light coming from around the door and see into the apt. by the lock.

If you are looking for something temporary, this might be good for you, but long term I wouldn't recommend it.

Lincoln on the green in a nutshell
Okay: I am going to tell it like it is. First, the good points.
1. The landscaping is beautiful
2. The area is relatively safe and the shops are close
3. The parking is pretty good
4. The rent is reasonable
5. It is pretty well lit
6. No car/apartment break-ins that I know of
7. People who live here are really nice
8. The apartments are spacious
9. The floorplans are well thought out

Now the bad:
1. The apartments are cheaply made
2. When your neighbor leaves and slams their doors, your pictures fall off the walls
3. The kitchen cabinets slant (You can get your vacuum cleaner under one side of the sink cabinets, but it slants down the other side and you cann;t get under there)
4. Something black comes out of the vents and gets all over your walls around up there in every room
5. They turn the water off without notifying anyone so if you are in the shower tough luck (I was actually in the office one day when they mentioned that the water was going to be turned off at a certain time and for several hours starting with one particular building the leasing agent asked of she should put up notices and the manager said no)
6. The mail.laundry rooms are a dirty disaster
7. One of the pools is broken a lot and there is a big hole full of trash where I guess a hot tub used to be
8. If you complain about a neighbor the manager will tell the neighbor that it was you so it makes for a very uncomfortable situation
9. The plug ins are so loose that if you want to vacuum someone has to stand at the wall and hold the cord in; otherwise, it falls out
10. The amount of single mothers moving in is increasing so you can imagine the ruckus of unsupervised unruly kids (especially after school and the language is HORRIBLE)
11. The foot traffic is picking up around the complex (Hickory Hill is catching up to us so you know what I mean)
12. The carpet is cheap and so is the pad under it
13. The whole apartment slants so the doors slam shut if you don't prop something in front of them (This is the new phase)
14. The chimneys don't draw so if you light a fire your whole apartment will fill with smoke (yes the flue is open!!)

A Great Complex & Location
Only in my search for apartments in metro Detroit did it occur to me to leave comments about my stay at Lincoln On The Green. My family & I enjoyed our time here. The staffers were delightful. The pools, tennis courts and workout room were a huge plus for us. We also enjoyed being so close to Germantown & Collierville. We'll miss it.

Okay place to live when there aren't problems
I wrote a review here in the summer after the water outage. I still feel that this problem wasn't handled very well.

I do think that there could be better communications from the management to the tenants when a problem occurs. I think that this is a major problem here.

However, I will say now that after living here for one year, this is a nice place. We feel safe here, and we like the apartment. I would now say that I could recommend it to others looking for an apartment.

The two issues I have are:

1. When you move in, ask about the ISTA bill. It was not mentioned to us when we moved in (I am sure it does mention it somewhere in the lease). Expect to pay an $ 30 each month for expenses such as trash, water, etc.) This is paid to LOG with the monthly rent.

2. When problems occur (like water outage or the trash compactor being broken for weeks at a time), don't expect to know what is going on from the staff.

I love LOG!!
I have lived at lived at Lincoln on the Green for almost 3 years and I have never had a noise problem. I have liveed in building 4,18, and 22. I have noticed that some residents here do not understand that you must open the door to the compactor and they will just sit their garbage outside the compactor or at the bottom of the stairs. Then people assume the compactor is full and take the path of least resistance and pile more garbage on top. I have no idea what the solution to the problem is but I see the groundskeepers out there constantly picking up trash that should have never been there such as large pieces of furniture that should heve been taken to the dump. The lack of respect for others in this area I know is a problem for the management. I wish there was some way to make the people making the mess pay for it directly. I dont plan to go anywhere and recomend LOG to all of my friends b/c I know Glenda, Shannon, or Elizabeth will lease them an apartment and give them the best deal possible. I even get a $200.00 referral check every time one of my friends moves in.

Not a good place
I absolutely dislike Lincoln on the Green. First of all, the management are very unprofessional and rude. They will discuss your business out in the lobby (if you let them). The Maintenance men are nice, however, they need to go and get more training. Our air conditioner leaks water into a bucket that we have to scoop out at least 3 times a day or the air will go off. Everytime you turn the kitchen sink on, it makes a very loud and nerve wrecking noise. The garbage dumpster is an eyesore right in the middle of the complex. Trash is constantly sitting outside the dumpster instead of inside. Then on top of all that, they have the nerve to have a gate at the back of the complex, but not one in the front, how stupid is that!

Worst Apartments ever
I have lived here for 2 yrs and past 1.5 yrs have been a nightmare with the apt maintenance just going down day by day. The trash service is getting bad, it doesn't cleared for days and the entire area has flies and stinks bad. If you are 1st floor, it gets way too noisy with all the AC motors operating right next to your bedroom window. Pests is a HUGE problem with the management, not really bothered to help you. and yes, the staff is rude, slow and least bothered about your problems. It all looks good from outside but the apartment quality suffers in a big way. You just need to stay for 3 months to realise that its BAD. Can't wait to move out the day my lease is over!!

Great apartments, ok service
Apartment is great. Its near to all the best places in town. Its on the border to Germantown, Collierville, etc, so all stores, parks and other frequently visited places are very close. Its right next to FedEx, WTC so this would be the apartment of choice if you work in FedEx, WTC.

Staff is OK. Not too good, but ok. Rent is cheaper compared to many other apartments like Madison, Bailey, etc.

I stayed there for a year and have no complaints

Apartment safety is great, nice neighborhood, but they are cheaply made
I love the location and the residents. Very attractive and quiet location, but the construction of the apartments are not good quality. The insides look great, but the are cheaply built. I've been there a year and the staff is allright to me, about the same as anywhere else.

an ok first apartment
Ok I found this place by accident while looking for my fiance and my first apt. I thought " oh wow!! I wanna live in Germantown!" but This place isn't anything I expected.the very first day we moved in we had the pest control come and ask to spray. i said no b/c I figured that would have already been taken care of.. wel lthe was the last time I have seen them and that was almost 2 years ago. I office people are horrible.. Very impolite. they act like your bothering them by stopping in,so I avoid that place at all costs. not only that, but ants last summer were HUGE disaster. I went to the office to ask for someone to spray and one of the girls very rudely said " well noone can get there until next monday" well that day was sunday.. never EVER saw them.. EVER So I bought everything I could find and got rid of them myself.. Then I had a problem with my toilet being broke. they did get someone out there that day.. but the guy flooded my bathroom and only cleaned up some of it and then left!! I had to mop up all the water. plus clean my tub where he dirtied it up.. how I don't know.. I moved in here as a chance to get out on my own.. but the moment I get approved on a house, my butt is out of here. whether I have to break my lease or not!

It's okay...the best cheap place in Germantown.
K, am going to be real here. Apartment complexes are rated from A - D. Lincoln on the green claims to be a B but they are really a high C.

Now to my review...I lived here for 2 years and I know all the staff, even though not all know me. Maintance here sucks. If you are not drowning in sewage they aint going to see you. So be prepare to be a fix it person...I got a handyman that comes and helps me out with my problems. Parking is okay, depending where you are. The apartments are decent. The older phase is better then the newer one. The older one has a better layout and more room. To be honest, it is a clean place. They take care more of their bushes then their residents. Pest control comes once a month. Which is not bad and the workout room is decent and has tvs. There is no video room and no club house you can go and hang out in. They use what they call the club area for a waiting room. Okay, what else. The best thing, it's quiet, at least my area it is and you are in Southwind.

So it's not that bad. If you want better go to the westbury down winchester. But you gonna pay 1000 for your 2 bedroom instead of 786. If you can afford the extra 200 then go for it. Come to think of it my lease is up am moving.

unpeasant staff members
When i saw this apt listed in the apt guide i thought great to myself this apt complex looks really well kept, safe, along with a diverse population i thought this would be the ideal apt for now for myself and child considering we had recently relocated from another state and we are accustomed to residing in a diverse and well groomed community. all the other apts we visited were definetly substandard nevertheless i signed a lease for the next 12 months the 1st month i experienced a problem that required maint. attention i reported the problem to staff long story long it took me several calls to the office coupled with several days waiting before my problem was actually forward to maint. once maint rvc the repair order that was promised that day from one of the "nicer" staff members maint was notified and problem solved. i have no real complaint with maint. i have experienced very rude staff members very unfriendly especially the one that is expecting a newborn i felt like i was bothering her either in person or over the phone and some of the other staff members have left me with the thought that im bothering them as well its just an overall unfriendly visit to the office or a quick complaint over the phone when i moved in my unit i felt like they had really did a rush rush job on some repairs the kitchen floor was and still is falling apart red paint was on the sliding door blinds a screen defenitely should have been replaced i can go on and on the apt just wasnt up to standard for a new tenant to move in i do like the fitness ctr always clean and pleasant work out experience the noise level is livable except for the slamming doors

Only OK....
This apartment complex is only "OK". I have lived here for 6 months. The apartment is fairly nice. Closets have ample space. The deck is nice, as well. Parking is never a problem. Maintenance does usually respond promptly (no bad experiences for me). The complex is also REALLY close of FedEx Express World HQ (and they offer a discount for FedEx employees).
Things to note: water, pest, sewege, etc. is not included in the rent. The hot water only lasts for about 15 minutes. The laundry facility is needs improvement, as does the workout facility. If you listen to the recording while on hold w/ this complex...the jacuzzi doesn't work and there is no "Video Room" in the laundry facility (it's a tv on which you can't change the channels!). The FedEx planes fly in at night right overhead, so that is pretty loud in the evening hours.
Also, the staff are pretty unprofessional. I felt like I was in their way, even while paying rent. And don't get locked out...they make you call a lock-smith! Overall, I had an ok experience, but I would not live here again!

I agreed with you guys - BAD Services
The laundry room is awful. The machines always take my money. I went to the staffs and asked nicely for reimbursing my money, and they were extremely rude to me. The gym is suck too.

Apartment is ok. It is on the deadend street, so is quiet. Parking is ok too, but sometimes is a mess, because it has NO gate, so lots of people can come in (unfortunately, it is NOT a very safe place). Car wash place is extra point for this apartment. Besides these, nothing is good at all.

The WORST thing I experienced from this apartment is the staffs. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. If you ask me from point 1 to 5, I will give you "negative 100"!!!!!! I had get NEVER EVER, NONE, ZERO, NADA slightly ok attitude from them once at all!!!!
