Since day one I entered with my family and felt welcomed and office staff all were full of smiles office full of people and everyone was said hello to. Compared to other communities I have visited and not even toured around. I love the landscaping and trees, maintenance is very friendly and helpful gets the job done. Office staff is very silly and fun to be around with.Parking is the only issues that sometimes hard to find a parking spot. Other than that I love it here I feel at home.

I just moved in this year and I really don't have a lot of experience about the place. Lupe asked us to give a review and she has been nothing but kind and helpful! We do love our apartment, the maintenance are friendly and I have not had any maintenance issues at all. I hope our stay continues to be positive and I can honestly say I would recommend it to anyone looking.

I have to say I love living here, I love my neighbors and the gym is my FAVORITE! I just renewed for another year with a reasonable increase, it was WAY to high but I talked to Lupe and she was able to cut it in half! If you are seriously looking for a nice apartment that is quiet and close to everything you will love it here. Thanks Horizons for always making me feel like I truly matter!

The new management is a vast improvement from the previous property managers. These young ladies are the most professional and polite apartment managers I've ever encountered. They have been very responsive and relentlessly hard working in improving the living conditions. Keep up the good work ladies, you make my day better!

These apartments are horrible do not move here. The old management were far from professional and so are the new management. The new managers here will just walk into your apartment without saying anything. I can be in my house naked or anything but they don't care. They even went as far as hopping over my balcony because my balcony door was unlocked and I'm on the 1st floor.They hopped over the balcony came into my apartment and stood there yelling "Office!!" near my front door in my living room. They also walked into my neighbors apartment while putting a paper on the door. He was sitting on his couch. By far the worst apartment I've ever lived in and I wouldn't recommend anyone living here. And they don't even have a laundry facility

When I first moved in back in October, everything was great. The management team was pretty cool and things ran pretty smoothly. It's only been 4 months and we've had a shooting and an alleged robbery and my motorcycle was stolen last night. Right out of the parking lot. After the shooting we got new management. And not to be disrespectful, but I don't really care for the new management at all.

My experience with the office/management team was pitiful, definitely not up to par with the welcoming facade they attempt. They were polite but I would have preferred if they were honest and forthcoming. Every conversation with the different individual ended up with a different result. There is no continuity. And it was clear their main objective has nothing to do with their tenants. Apply at your own risk, just don't expect professionalism. I received 4 different move in dates with no real explanation why I was being delayed..what they didn't know is that I had already been investigating the state of the apartment and the progress of the repairs that allegedly needed to be completed. The two versions never matched, leaving me to the conclusion that they simply wanted my NOW "non-fundable" deposit. They claim the refund was processed but I won't be holding my breathe.

So I lived on the third floor, which sucked to begin with but here we go! The gates never worked, there are water bugs constantly, maintenance is pretty terrible and takes for forever and half --- the requests. For example: the apartment complex notified us that our entire building would be sprayed for bugs on one day two weeks in advance, leaving detailed instructions for the tenants on how the apartment will need to be in order to be sprayed properly. The day that the apartment was supposed to be sprayed it wasn't because the apartment complex told us that they couldn't get into our apartment because they didn't have a key. It took them another week to spray the apartment which they did a terrible job of and had to request to be sprayed again which took them another week to get up to spray. They have tried to evict us three times because of errors in their own system. The staff are incompetent and unprofessional which I absolutely have to agree with the only shining star in the staff is Lupe and she isn't even in charge. Don't live here because they also increase their rent anywhere from 90-140$. And to top off a bad experience the month before we move they tow our car which will cost us an additional 175$.

I am a tenant and have been since 2011 the property has changed for the better lots of events for the family and the staff is great, I travel quite a bit for work to downtown fort worth and Dallas so the location is perfect for me. My work requests are always taken care of in a timely manner and I am always greeted by the staff when I see them out on the property. My only complaint is the rent increase but that is normal when renting so I don't mind too much.

This Apartment complex and management is horrible. They are not professional at all. There were other issues like the gate never works, when we went to go view the apartment they showed is a dirty one, maintenance never fixes anything on time and they lie about fixing things and i know this because i am a stay at hime mom, they have roaches or water bugs, electrical wiring was off, air filter never changed. But the major issue I had was with my lease and it was their fault and their employee said it was their fault and they still did not want to correct their error. They do not care about their tenants they just care about the money. I didn't even want to give them one star.

The only reason the star is even here is because of how hard the one guy in the office works. Hes the only person I've seen in there through the entire length of my lease. The grounds are kept pretty orderly by the Groundsman, I also see him daily cleaning up the property. (Which, in my opinion, if such low grade people didnt live here, he wouldnt have to do so frequently.) now, there are NO FREE WASHERS OR DRYERS HERE. NOT IN YOUR UNIT. NOT ON THE PROPERTY. THERE IS NOT EVEN A LAUNDRY FACILITY. there are washer and dryer hook ups. And they work. Here's what I DONT like about living here, that I was unaware of at the sign of my lease. First, they did not have my unit available to be viewed before I signed my lease. Since my old lease was up, I had to just take it anyway. So I signed a 6 month lease. When I got into it on moving day, u t was swarming with roaches. At least the ones on joes apartment were funny. These were just plain gross. They were inside of my refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, coming out of sinks, and the bath tub drains.....it was unacceptable. I told the office, they replaced the fridge. But nothing else. I had to . Pay out of pocket to bomb my own apartment. Which still did not work. There were still belongings from the last tenant in the apartment when I got here. The bathroom had not been cleaned, there was a brown ring around my tub. The patio was literally stained with dog urine. I also had to bleach and spray that myself, as nobody did anything about it when I reported it. In just the first month, I cant even tell you how many fights I witnessed IN BROAD DAYLIGHT between tenants. I saw a man punch a woman in the face while my parents came for dinner. There are several clearly established drug dealers in just the back area of the complex, and although I was towards the front, I still had to deal with them waking me up coming in and out at all odd hours. Jamming their music as loud as possible, showing no regard for anyone. Most of the people who live here seem to not care about ANYTHING, they're loud and disrespectful, they throw trash everywhere, they let their children run unsupervised at all odd hours. Dogs roam freely about the property. I know my neighbor was broken into during the daytime! And after he moved, the next guy who moved in after him was broken into also. There was also a shooting here in june. One of the residents had their door kicked in and was shot repeatedly. There are people here living who are not on the lease. Which makes the water bill go up and is ridiculous. Nobody checks these things? There have been times when I have called the police when people were physically fighting and THEY NEVER EVEN SHOWED UP. DID NOT SHOW UP! and this was just laughed off by the management company. Everything I have stated in this review I have also stated to the management company and nothing has been done. The best thing about living here is the maintenance guys are super fast and diligent, they are very friendly and personable, and they will do everything they can to help fix whatever the problem is in a timely and effective fashion. Nothing was ever rigged to be a make shift fix. The office guy is super nice, he is extremely helpful and is the only person who ever answers the phone when you call. There was a lady in there when I first signed my lease but I think she left on maternity leave and I left before she came back. She was really sweet also and did everything she could to help us stay here. We finally had enough of the ------ people who live here though and moved. If you can find another place, do it. Its affordable, but honestly uts worth it to pay the extra $100 a month to have peace of mind and be able to sleep at night.

I have been here for a long time and I seen people come and go but I really like the ladies in the office a lot. They seem like they really care and try real hard to get stuff done, Mario is a good guy and very good maintenance man. I never have had to complain about nothing but I don't have any issues with my home. I am not so happy with rent going up but I called around and there are more expensive then I thought so I will stay here where I am happy and know what to expect. I think people could do better at picking up after dogs but that is all.

This place is horribly, the two Spanish workers that works there are rude, the manager have the worst attitude ever. They never fix anything on time even when u report it a week or two. I pay my rent on time and whenever I go there to talk to them about any problem in the apt, they give me major attitude. WORSt PLACE EVER.

Lajolla on the meadowbrook is a great place to live I been on the property for two and a half years and I haven't had any problems. The staff is friendly and always quick to address all needs. I recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a quiet safe neighborhood to raise their Children's. You will love the staff they always go above and beyond the call of duty. I moved in to Horizons at Sunridge as a sophomore in college in 2010. Since the very first day, the ladies in the leasing office have been sweet and helpful. I have lived here for 4 years and the complex improves every year! I've never had a bug problem and maintenance requests are always quick. When I first moved in, the complex was a little sketchy and I felt unsafe at times (female living alone), but now I LOVE my complex. The amenities aren't top notch (pool, gym, etc) but if you're looking for a price-friendly, pet friendly, safe, good management, this is the place for you.

This is a horrible community the office staff is very unprofessional it is not a safe community my apartment was broken into in daylight and of course no one seen anything the maintenance guys are pretty good about the workorders long as you can catch them out they will come over but the office staff is horrible I would never recommend anyone to move into these apartments

I am not from the area, I moved here for school but I really like it. The office ladies are really great, they really show they care about the place. I told one if my friends about it and he is moving up here in august. My biggest thing was that they have washers and dryers already in them and my rent is still under my housing budget. I would Deffinently recommend horizons to anyone looking for a nice place to live.

The positive reviews must have been written by property managers or employees of La Jolla because this is truly a terrible place to live. The location is wonderful, but the staff are totally unresponsive, maintenance are overwhelmed and can't complete the mountain of tasks they have piled up, and it is completely unsafe. When I first moved in, there were roaches all over my apartment. I had to work for A YEAR to finally get them all out. Then, once I was rid of the roaches, I had to deal with my neighbors. Literally every night, someone would roll up in a 1990 Geo and start bumping some ridiculous beat that would shake my walls. Some nights I couldn't even sleep. I also ended up having to purchase a firearm and keep it by my bed because the residents were so unbelievably shady. In the 3 years I lived there, the police were called numerous times. 3 times for a shooting in my parking lot!! There are drug deals, thugs, and riff raff running around the apartment at all hours of the night. And parents just let their kids roam free! Excuse me, parents don't even know where their kids are. Think of every annoying thing that comes from living in an apartment with neighbors and staff, and it happened at La Jolla. Not only did it happen, but it was ignored and sometimes even encouraged by the incompetent staff. I felt so sorry for the maintenance guys because the managers would let work orders pile up, and then when residents complained about them not being filled, they would let at the maintenance guys. I cannot stress enough what a terrible experience it was to live in this apartment. It has nothing to do with the overall shape of the units, themselves. It has everything to do with the staff and the tenants they keep. I know it may be in a convenient location, but I promise you will thank yourself if you drive past La Jolla and keep looking.

I currently moved here and so far everything has been great. The office staff is nice and very helpful. Also I have not had an issue with security since I work nights and it was something that I thought of before moving here but I am glad I did. I recommend people to check the apartments out.

I have lived here for nearly 10 years and could not be happier. The office is very friendly and Mario is like a son to me! Nobody's perfect and it seems most of the complaints are older and about general maintenance stuff, no big deal I guess. I personally have never asked for something that hasn't been done. We have had some changes like surveys asking our opinions. Making sure things are taken care of I guess, like a grade or something for us and the office. All I know is I am happy and will stay as long as I can and do recommend it often.
