I just renewed my lease again and am very happy here. The office take very good care of me and I noticed much better neighbors. Office nice maintenance dependable and parking better since we start using stickers, much better! I now have to pay water so I will see how that goes for next time.

By far the worst apt i have ever lived at. When i first moved it took an entire month for me to receive a prpoer working mail box key. The police was called on me due to me being upset about not receiving working mailbox key for the fourth time. I was told to break my lease, and didnt understand why a manager would tell someone to break there lease. i gave my 60 day notice asap and will never reccommend any one to these apts. i had roaches in my tub and in the sink drain.

I currently live in the complex and I would not recommend anyone to move here. They do not honor their tenants. We have been staying here for almost a year last week we finally saved up to get a car. We we brought our new car home we stopped by the office to pick up a parking sticker the office team were out of the office so we searched for a visitors parking, NONE WERE AVAILABLE this happens quite often so we then parked in our buildings slot parking went up to our apt for about 30min giving management time to return to office. My husband was on his way to the office to get sticker when our car was towed. Management didn't return but we left numerous msg but had to wait until the following Monday to speak with soneone(it was Saturday) whn we spoke to management thy explained that there are 275 units they are 90% full have 345 parking spots and 70 of those are vistors and that each unit which majority of units hv 3 floors with a total of 12 apt there is only enough for 3 visitors per unit. I called capital tow who's contracted by the apt and they explained to me that if management confirm that we are residents they would release the car management told me they were not going to have them release the car for us to pay. It took 5 days with all fees being paid I felt they were very inconsiderate and since have been complaining. Since then the tow trucks have been here none stop towing visitors car due to the lack of visitors parking. Also so many ppl got towed over the weekend I was afraid to walk to my car alone there were so many ppl outside fussing a raving about their cars trying to chase the tow truck drivers dwn and all.

------! Worst apartment ever!
The day we moved in our ac didn't work. It took us 5 hrs of calling to get the emergency guy to answer. It was over 90 degrees and we have very small children. They had our car towed bc they failed to give us a parking sticker. Our dishwasher flooded the kitchen and this was all in the first 2 wks. There is a drug dealer living below us and the woman across the way was recently drugged and raped. We hear people yelling and fighting outside our window almost every night and it keeps us awake. All in all these are the worst apartments I have ever lived in. I don't feel safe even in my own home much less once I walk out my front door. I would never recommend anyone to live here.

Talk about going above and beyond
Something to consider when moving to an apartment: Our cat got out one night and we were devestated. The office made over 300 copies of our flyers, called all the animal lovers in the complex to ask if they had seen him, and personally helped us look for him. The whole community banded together to help us find him. You just dont see that anymore, especially for a cat! Not only is it rare to find an office staff to take time out of their busy schedules to help but everyone pitched in. 3 days later Kelly, one of the office managers, and a resident called to tell us they found him. I am so blessed to be living among such great people.

The Worst Ever!!!
I've lived here for a little over 3 months and since I've been here the pool has been closed or nasty, the fitness room has been closed, the office staff NEVER answers the phones, none of the maintenance workers speak English and they are lazy as heck, and the dumpsters are ALWAYS overflowing and nasty! This complex is a joke and I really wish I would have read the reviews before moving my family here. I've never seen a pool so small and a spa that NEVER works and the fitness room is a BIG joke! I actually looked in the room and there are only about 3 pieces of exercise equipment. For the price they charge in rent you would think they could expand some of the amenities to accommodate the tenants. And don't even get me started on the parking and the permits the residents must have for parking here. I signed a year lease and I am actually moving to the apartments up the street; Chestnut Ridge. They have FULL size washers and dryers in EVERY apt, 2 pools that are open for my kids to swim, and the fitness room is AMAZING!! I will be glad when the end of Sept gets here so I can pay my reletting fee and get the heck away from this joke of a complex. You have been warned...DO NOT MOVE HERE, PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND LIVE SOMEWHERE YOU WOULD BE GLAD TO CALL HOME!!!

Amazing Place
I moved in to Horizons at Sunridge July 2009. I was suppose to be moving in with a roommate but it fell through the week before move in. The staff was very nice and took care of me completely, they got me into a 1 bedroom and also dropped my rent because as a student at UTA I had a budget to keep. When ever I needed anything fixed the maintenance guys were very prompt and always got it right the first time. The rooms are very spacious i had plenty of room for all my things and the unit came with a washer and dryer for no extra a month. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice affordable place to live with an amazing staff.

terrible, terrible
this place is bad! the spa has never been fixed, the pool was never cleaned (worms and dirt on the bottom), there was hardly any grass just a bunch of mud! the police are there almost everyday. kids and dogs run around unsupervised. and the girls in the office, aside from Kelly, were always rude and didn't seem to care about the tenants! it looks like a nice place from the front, but looks can be deceiving for sure!

Very disturbed please read before moving in here!!!
My boyfriend and I moved out of Horizons at Sunridge this weekend. Besides the constant noise and trashy people that live there (not all the people, some are nice) this is what I find very disturbing and think people should know...We moved most of the stuff this weekend but because the lease wasn't up we did not move everything. We decided to take the full two weeks to move out. We have a little boy and all of his clothes were still in the apartment. When I went to pick them up today the locks had been changed. I went down to the office and spoke with the property manager who was very nice and gave me a key and said to see what was missing and they would get everything back. When I went into the apartment I was disgusted!!! Our dirty clothes hamper had been dumped out in our childs room and it appeared the clothes hamper was filled with stuff someone was planning on taking home with them. Completely random things were put by the door and ready to be moved out. The hamper was filled with all of our childs clothes, a pair of soccer shoes, anything spiderman that he had in his room, a couple empty picture frames, and all the bigger clothes that I had hanging in the closet (most small clothes were left hanging). Also placed by the door was a tent that was in one room, a scooter that was in a different room, and a spiderman bike that was on the patio. It was very obvious people had picked through what they wanted of our stuff. In the middle of the living room floor was stuff from the closet, all the cabnets in the kitchen were open, and in a bedroom they had a Halloween skeleton hanging from the ceiling fan. I understand that when people skip out on rent they often leave a bunch of stuff there but it was obvious someone was still there. Who would leave with a childs bed and TV but none of their clothes? In the office there is a lady that works there named Carissa. The property manager asked her why she told them to trash out the apartment and change the locks and she said she didn't, she said that she saw someone else moving out this weekend and it was supposed to be that apartment. I find that very hard to believe because we in fact did move this weekend just not completely. Carissa has been nothing by rude to my boyfriend from day one of him moving in there and some of our neighbors say the same things of her. I am disgusted that because of her people came in and went through our belongings and were planning on keeping somethings for themselves. They told me it was all a misunderstanding and apologized but it is not convincing. She thought we were gone and had the locks changed which regardless of if we were completely out the apartment was still in my boyfriends name until the end of the month.

Not Bad After All
I have lived in these apartments for 2 years now and i must honestly say that its not a bad place to live at all. Prior to moving here, i wanted to make sure i was moving into a complex that was quiet and friendly and believe me i did my research on this place before i signed the contract. I researched many other apartmenst close by and i wanted to make sure i was comfortable with the place for my wife and daughter at the affordable price. The maintenance crew and staff are Good, i haven't had one problem with them the entire time i've lived hear. Maintenance is speedy, there have been a few times that i had to call on them and they were prompt to respond and able to fix the issue's. One downside if any i can come up with is, the floor plans are basic and there aren't manny different options to choose from so the square footage for these apartments a quite small (but hey, thats apartmenst for ya). The location is convenient, you have Wal-Mart, Target, Ross, Movie Theartre, quick access to the interstate which is not bad at all.Unfortunatley i will not be renewing my lease which is coming due in March. Reason being, i am needing to move closer to my job to help save on Gas and to cut travel time. So overall, i must say after 2yrs here at Horizons, this place is not bad at all.

Quiet and Friendly
I moved here from NYC 5 months ago, having found Horizons at Sunridge on the Internet. I asked my sister in Arlington to take a look at the complex, of course, but she needn't have bothered. The online pictures aren't 20 years old. What you see is what you get. The complex is clean and very attractive. There are lots of tall trees and outdoor play spaces that are lush and well-manicured. Lots of storage space indoors, too. And my apartment is well-insulated. My electric bills have been consistently lower than my nephews who live in complexes nearby. The office staff is top-notch, too, and very accommodating. I am handicapped and frequently shop online. The ladies in the office sign for my packages and always offer to carry them to the car for me, even when the weather is unpleasant. I couldn't be happier with Horizons at Sunridge.

Its been OK
We moved in early this year and I have had more good experiences than bad. I love the big courtyards, its great for us because I have a 5 year old and can sit on the patio and watch her play. The apartment is good-big bedrooms and alot of storage space. The living room is a bit small but I have grown fond of the smaller space(easier to clean!) I was pretty surprised when we moved in...we moved from an A townhome in South Arlington to save money so I was quite scared as to what to expect but everything here has been ok. I must admit I expected people on welfare and a hundred ------ kids but my neighbors I have met are college and aftergrad students, young proffesionals and families starting out...I found mostly middle class families trying to save money, like us. The parking can be tight later at night but I would much rather keep the nature and tons of trees than get more concrete! I'd have to say I am content and happy in our home. The office ladies are friendly and the maintenance guys are proffesional. We looked evrywhere up and down Randol Mill and Meadowbrook and drove them all at night and Horizons was the best kept and qietest...now that we live here I feel the same way!

Very Pleasant complex.
I am a mother and I am happy with the complex here in whole. There are little issues here and there like any other apartment complex but nothing where it would make me feel unsafe for my kids. The management and staff have always been more then willing to help with anything. I had my ac go out and maintenance came and fixed it same day. My door was having trouble with opening and closing and they came and replaced it with a new door next day. It is a great complex and I would recommend at least checking it out.

We're happy here
I've been reading the reviews here, and I guess it depends on which side of the complex you live in. My husband and I have lived here for almost 1.5 years. We've been pretty happy here. It's not the best place I've lived, but we have not had any serious problems. We had a loud neighbor, but he moved out. Management is pretty good. Maintenance is pretty good. Gates only work 50% of the time. We don't have scary people hanging out around our place, and no crazy loud music that people have described. All-in-all, we're pretty happy. Plus, we're getting a great deal on a 2-1.

Wonderful apartments and staff!
I have lived in apartments for many years and I must say this one of the of the nicer apartments in this area. I lived here about 5 years ago and had to move for job reasons. Since then I have moved back, this place looks 10 times better. This new management has done wonders with this place. They have repainted, put new roofs on, re-done the landscaping, and put in new A/C units in. I currently live in a two bedroom two bath and my electric bill has been at its lowest $35 up to $155 and I'm glad to say.. that is CHEEP for these days! I would strongly recommend this place if your moving to this area. I do NOT agree with some of these comments that I have read on here, but if you really want to know about the crime in this area, you should call the police and get the crime reports. You will find out that this community has one of the lowest crime rates!
